Alpha.V2.5.0
Faster Syncing, Prestige Ratio & Better Share Cards
Xbox syncs and leaderboards are much faster, there's a new Prestige Ratio stat, completion times now remember where you left off. All share cards, profiles and game pages all got a cleanup.
This one's a big one. Most of the work went into making CompletionLab faster and making your completions look better, with a couple of new ways to show off what you've earned.
Faster Xbox Syncing
Your hourly sync no longer re-reads your whole Xbox history. After doing some more research into the API, CompletionLab now checks what you've played recently and fetches only what changed.
The biggest library, over 11,000 games, went from about 8 minutes per sync to about 30 seconds. Most libraries finish in 1–3 seconds. A full check still runs once a day, so nothing slips through.
Faster Leaderboards
Leaderboards used to work out everyone's stats on the spot, which could take several seconds. That work now happens in the background.
On the live site, a leaderboard that took 4.6 seconds now loads in about 0.3. The Top 20 on the home page and the rank badges on profile share cards got the same boost.
New: Prestige Ratio
Prestige Ratio is your Prestige Score divided by the Gamerscore it counts, like ×1.58. The higher it is, the rarer your achievements. If you didn’t read the V3 update, any achievement rarity above 25% does not give any Prestige. So the higher your ratio, the rarer the games you play.
You'll find it on game pages, in your Hall of Completions, on share cards, and as a tile for your Dashboard or profile. It also has its own leaderboard, right after Prestige Score. You need at least 1,000G to be ranked.
Cleaner Gamerscore
Finished games show just their total, like 1,000G instead of 1,000 / 1,000G. Games you're still working on keep showing your progress, like 760 / 1,000G.
You'll see this in your library, Hall, profiles, the Games page, Now Completing and share cards.
Completion Times That Remember
Your Completion Time is now saved the moment you hit 100%.
Before, if a game got new DLC after you'd finished it, your time kept counting while you waited. Now the wait never counts: when you finish the new achievements, only the time you actually spent on them is added.
Completion Time is measured from your first Xbox-confirmed unlock to your last, not hours played. Mythic times already worked this way and are unchanged. I set it up this way because I spend a lot of time idling in game, and since this is primarily a backlog cleanup website I thought it would be fun to see.
Share Cards Got a Glow-Up
Game cards for 100% and Mythic completions now show four figures in a neat grid: Achievements, Gamerscore, Prestige and Time. With no time available, the fourth is your Prestige Ratio. Headings follow your Dashboard Color.
Your profile card is a brand-new stat wall:
* Your gamerpic and gamertag
* Your leaderboard ranks, when you're ranked
* Eight stats: 100%, Mythic, Completion %, Gamerscore, Prestige Score, Prestige Ratio, Achievements and Games Played
* Your latest completions with their covers, if your Hall is public
Profiles on Phones
* Your Customize, Settings and Share buttons sit in one tidy row
* The sync line is shorter
* The Hall's buttons sit side by side
* Dates no longer break mid-line
* Long game titles no longer make the page slide sideways
* Completion times use your language's units, like "3 h 56 min"
See Translation Progress
The language menu now shows a small bar for each language: how much of the site's achievement text Xbox has in that language that we've collected so far. It updates every few minutes as more comes in. Some languages are still being collected before they show on game pages.
Smaller Changes
* The Rarest tile is gone from a game's Stats view, for a cleaner six-tile layout
* Recent Completions cards in Brazilian Portuguese no longer squeeze or wrap the date
* More DLC sections tidied up, and duplicate Xbox 360 game pages retired. Their old links take you to the right page
* Plenty of reliability work behind the scenes
Everything in this update is available in French, German, Spanish, Dutch and Brazilian Portuguese.
Thanks for using CompletionLab, and for all the feedback that shaped this one. More soon.
