Version, completion plan, and critical saves

This route is for the current Xbox Series X|S version on Patch 2.31 with Phantom Liberty installed. Cyberpunk 2077 uses one shared Xbox achievement list, but Phantom Liberty itself is Series X|S-only. The full list is 57 achievements for 1,455 Gamerscore: 44 base-game achievements for 1,000G and 13 Phantom Liberty achievements for 455G.

There are no online or co-op achievements and no difficulty achievements. You can play on any difficulty and temporarily lower it for awkward combat achievements without invalidating anything. One practical playthrough is enough if you preserve the branch saves called out below.

Protect these completion-critical missables: use lifepath dialogue until Stanislavski's Method unlocks; rescue Takemura during Search and Destroy; take Johnny's pants during Psychofan and his shoes during Family Heirloom; keep Judy, Panam, Rogue, and Kerry's questlines alive; and preserve a permanent save before the choice in Firestarter.

  • CURRENTLY CONFIRMED UNOBTAINABLE: none as of 2026-09-20.
  • CURRENTLY CONFIRMED DISCONTINUED: none as of 2026-09-20.
  • CURRENTLY COMMUNITY-FLAGGED / BUGGY: Xbox achievement progress and unlock synchronization can still be delayed. Stay connected to Xbox Live for one-time triggers and keep manual saves before major achievement moments. If you were offline when you met a requirement, CD Projekt RED says syncing can take up to 72 hours after you reconnect. If a completed requirement still does not pop, clear the console cache (hold the Xbox button on the console for 10 seconds, unplug the power cable for two minutes, then restart), relaunch the game, and only then replay the trigger from an older save.
  • PATCHED / NO LONGER A CURRENT ISSUE: Phantom Liberty launch-era problems that could block All the President's Men, Arachnophobia, or incorrectly award Relic Ruler were addressed in Update 2.1.

The main point of no return is Nocturne Op55N1 at Embers. Standard base-game endings can return you to the pre-Embers state through the post-credits One More Gig option, but do not rely on that for missed questlines. The Phantom Liberty ending The Tower does not provide the same return path, so make a permanent manual save before starting Who Wants to Live Forever.

Keep these manual saves in separate slots and do not overwrite them:

  • Before starting Riders on the Storm (Panam's storyline).
  • Before starting Search and Destroy (Takemura's rescue).
  • Before starting The Hunt (River's storyline).
  • Before completing Psychofan if you have not yet taken Johnny's pants.
  • Before completing Family Heirloom if you have not yet taken Johnny's shoes.
  • Before the major choice in Firestarter.
  • Before entering Songbird's core at the end of Somewhat Damaged.
  • Near the final handoff choice in The Killing Moon.
  • Before starting Who Wants to Live Forever for The Tower.
  • On Misty's rooftop during Nocturne Op55N1 before choosing your base-game ending.
The two most expensive mistakes are leaving Takemura behind during Search and Destroy and entering Phantom Liberty's Firestarter split without a permanent manual save.

Habits to maintain from the beginning

Loot aggressively, sell excess weapons, and avoid buying every shiny vehicle as soon as it appears. Autojock is much easier if you arrive at late-game cleanup with a large cash reserve: the 26 qualifying vehicles cost about €$1.38 million in total.

Whenever a dialogue option is explicitly tagged with your selected lifepath, use it until the relevant achievement unlocks. Whenever you pass an undiscovered fast travel dataterm, drive close enough to add it to the map. Scan tarot graffiti when the icon is directly on your route. These habits remove several hours of late cleanup.

Use melee regularly during early gigs and scanner hustles, then switch your default combat toward ranged weapons after the melee cumulative achievement is finished. If you are playing a netrunner, use Distract Enemies on cameras, vending machines, speakers, and other devices before combat whenever it is safe.

Stanislavski's Method

Choose 10 dialogue options marked with your lifepath. This is cumulative within the playthrough and unlocks on the tenth qualifying choice. It is genuinely missable because the supply of lifepath dialogue is finite, so take the tagged option whenever it appears until the achievement pops.

Must Be Rats

Perform Distract Enemies 30 times without alerting enemies. Start this immediately during stealth sections: scan a nearby device, use Distract Enemies while enemies are unaware, let the distraction resolve, and repeat on future devices. This is cumulative rather than one encounter or one session.

True Warrior

Kill or incapacitate 100 enemies with melee weapons. Make melee your default against weak open-world groups early in Act 2 so this finishes naturally instead of becoming a grind. The achievement unlocks on the 100th qualifying melee takedown.

True Soldier

Kill or incapacitate 300 enemies with ranged weapons. Once True Warrior is finished, lean heavily on pistols, rifles, shotguns, or other ranged weapons for the rest of the story, gigs, NCPD work, and Dogtown. The achievement unlocks on the 300th qualifying ranged takedown.

Ten out of Ten

On the 2.0+ progression system, Headhunter, Netrunner, Shinobi, Solo, and Engineer each cap at skill level 60. Pick the skill that matches your build and keep feeding it instead of spreading all five evenly. Netrunner rises through hacking, Shinobi through agile/blade play, Solo through heavy and body-oriented combat, Engineer through technical play and crafting, and Headhunter through precision-oriented combat. The achievement unlocks when any one skill reaches 60.

Prologue and Act 1 — Watson

Lifepath opening and The Rescue

Choose Nomad, Streetkid, or Corpo freely. Lifepath changes dialogue opportunities but does not create a separate achievement list or force another playthrough.

The Fool

Play through your selected lifepath opening. The achievement unlocks automatically around the transition into The Rescue; the optional combat tutorial is not required.

Continue through The Rescue and into Act 1. Visit Viktor when directed and start treating ripperdocs as regular route stops; several later achievements depend on cyberware rather than attributes in the current Series X|S build.

Act 1 jobs and easy combat opportunities

Do The Information and The Pickup in whichever order you prefer, then move toward The Heist. Watson is still under lockdown, so do not waste time trying to force the district-completion achievement yet.

Gun Fu

As soon as you have a reliable pistol or revolver, save before a group of three weak enemies. Weaken all three, move into close range, then kill or incapacitate them rapidly with the pistol or revolver. The achievement triggers on the third qualifying enemy in the short succession window. Very Easy makes this trivial if your normal difficulty makes the timing awkward.

Gunslinger

Keep a revolver available. When an enemy begins the grenade-throw animation, use cover and, if available, a time-slowing effect to line up the airborne grenade. Shoot the grenade with the revolver before it lands. The achievement unlocks when the grenade is successfully shot in midair.

Right Back At Ya

When an enemy throws a grenade at you, identify that specific thrower and kill or incapacitate them after the throw. You do not need to use the grenade against them. The achievement unlocks when the qualifying thrower goes down.

The Heist

Finish Act 1 normally. Your decisions around Jackie can change later scenes and rewards, but they do not change the achievement route.

The Lovers

Complete The Heist through the motel sequence with Dex. This is story-related and unlocks after the closing cutscenes of the job.

Act 2 Opens — Watson, Westbrook, and Judy

Playing for Time and the first free-roam sweep

Complete Playing for Time and meet Takemura at Tom's Diner. The full city is now available and Fool on the Hill can begin. From this point forward, clear gigs, NCPD Scanner Hustles, and Cyberpsycho Sightings when they are close to the story route, but do not force a full district clear until the fixer's later batches have unlocked.

For NCPD work, do not leave when the shooting stops. Loot the marked evidence or stash that completes the activity, and follow any linked Reported Crime objective that appears. A blue marker disappearing from the map is the practical confirmation that the activity is actually complete.

Early systems achievements

Christmas Tree Attack

On the 2.0+ system, Breach Protocol is only available at physical access points such as wall consoles, antennas, and some computers; enemies and cameras can no longer be breached. Find an access point showing at least three daemon/datamine sequences in the Breach Protocol code-matrix minigame, and complete three sequences in a single breach. Save before interacting. The timer does not start until you select the first code, so study how the sequences can overlap before you commit. If the generated grid does not give you a workable path, jack out before selecting anything and re-enter to reshuffle it, or reload. The Intelligence perk Forcekill Cypher shortens the sequences, and a larger cyberdeck buffer also helps. The Accessibility setting Hacking Minigame Time Limit, added in Update 2.1, removes the Breach Protocol timer; the same three-sequence requirement remains. The achievement unlocks when the breach completes with at least three daemons uploaded.

The Quick and the Dead

Install a Sandevistan or another cyberware effect that slows time and begin using it during ordinary fights. Kills or incapacitations count only while time is actually slowed. Accumulate 50 qualifying enemies across the playthrough. A Sandevistan gives a much wider window than trying to force every kill through a brief Kerenzikov activation.

Two Heads, One Bullet

Once you have a strong sniper rifle, save before two enemies who can be lined up. Position them so one shot passes through both targets, weaken them first if necessary, then fire a single sniper round that kills or incapacitates both. If an ordinary sniper rifle won't punch through both targets, use a fully charged Tech sniper rifle such as the Nekomata, which penetrates cover and bodies. The achievement triggers from that one shared shot.

Judy's main-story branch through Transmission

Follow the Evelyn/Judy chain through Automatic Love, The Space in Between, Disasterpiece, Double Life, M'ap Tann Pèlen, I Walk the Line, and Transmission. Scan tarot graffiti you naturally pass, but leave a dedicated tarot sweep for later.

The Hermit

Finish Transmission and the meeting with Alt Cunningham. The achievement is story-related and unlocks at the end of the job after the chapel sequence.

Completing Transmission also unlocks Phantom Liberty. First, finish Judy's optional storyline as her calls arrive. Once Pyramid Song is complete, enter Dogtown, finish the time-sensitive opening, unlock its repeatable systems, and then return to Night City. This keeps Judy's chain secured before the expansion starts adding more calls and side work.

Judy's optional storyline

After Double Life, answer Judy's calls and continue Both Sides, Now, Ex-Factor, Talking 'Bout a Revolution, Pisces, and Pyramid Song. Do not reject her help requests.

During Pisces, the safest route is to back Judy's plan. If you instead cooperate with Maiko, refuse Maiko's payment. Taking the payment can cut off Pyramid Song. Romance is not required.

Judy vs Night City

Complete Pyramid Song and finish the final conversation with Judy. The achievement unlocks when her storyline closes, regardless of whether your V can or does romance her.

Phantom Liberty Opening — Dogtown

Dog Eat Dog and Hole in the Sky

Collectibles 1 collectible
  • EBM Petrochem Stadium market — Inside the stadium market during Dog Eat Dog: up two flights past the car vendor, then crouch through the scaffolding gap beside the three-athlete statue.

    DLC

Start Dog Eat Dog after Songbird contacts you and follow the infiltration into Dogtown. Songbird grants your first three Relic points and unlocks the Relic tree and Dogtown's nine Restricted Data Terminals, each worth one more Relic point. Terminals only appear on the map as a white Relic icon, with an audio ping and controller vibration, once you are close.

The first terminal is on the way through the EBM Petrochem Stadium market. Go past the car vendor and up two flights of stairs to the three-athlete statue and vending machines, then crouch through the scaffolding gap on the right. If the waypoint points you at a closed, unpowered door, ignore it and keep going.

Once Space Force One crashes and Hole in the Sky begins, stop exploring and stay on the main objective.

TRUE MISSABLE: Hole in the Sky is time-sensitive. If you take too long or stray away after the crash, Myers can die and the Phantom Liberty main storyline fails on that timeline. If that happens, reload the autosave from the start of the mission immediately rather than continuing.

All the President's Men

Reach the crash site in time, find President Myers alive, and survive the defense of Space Force One. The achievement unlocks when Myers has been successfully saved and the combat sequence is complete.

Spider and the Fly

Stay with the story until the Chimera encounter. Use the arena weapons, exposed weak points, turrets, quickhacks, and the difficulty setting as needed; there is no achievement for beating it on a particular difficulty.

Arachnophobia

Defeat the Chimera. The achievement unlocks when the boss is destroyed. Pick up the Chimera Core afterward before leaving if you want its crafting use, but the core itself is not the achievement trigger.

Lucretia My Reflection and Dogtown free roam

Collectibles 5 collectibles
  • Kress Street — Street level beside the Kress Street dataterm, directly below Myers' hideout.

    DLC

  • Capitán Caliente rooftop — Parkour to the top of the building extension facing the Heavy Hearts pyramid; a proximity mine sits beside it.

    DLC

  • Golden Pacific parking garage — One floor up in the parking structure south of the main gate, via the yellow staircase beside the road.

    DLC

  • Heavy Hearts overpass building — Second floor of the dilapidated building opposite the pyramid's northwest side, via the stone stairs from the overpass.

    DLC

  • Luxor underpass — About 250 m southwest of the Luxor High Wellness Spa dataterm, behind a Voodoo-graffiti barricade in the underpass on the left.

    DLC

Continue through Lucretia My Reflection until Dogtown opens for free exploration and Reed's storyline is established. During the mandatory wait before the next main job, begin the first Mr. Hands gigs, Restricted Data Terminals, Increased Criminal Activity sites, and El Capitan vehicle work.

Collect these five Restricted Data Terminals during or right after Lucretia My Reflection. Jack in without interruption: if combat breaks the hacking animation, the point may not register, and you will need to jack in again.

  • Kress Street: at street level beside the Kress Street dataterm, directly below Myers' hideout. Taking the lobby elevator down puts you next to it as you leave the hideout.
  • Capitán Caliente rooftop: the exposed top of the crumbling building extension behind Capitán Caliente, facing the back of the Heavy Hearts pyramid. Parkour up the ramp, small roof, scaffolding, and green crane, past a crashed vehicle; double jump helps. A proximity mine sits beside the terminal, so disarm or avoid it.
  • Golden Pacific parking garage: one floor up in the parking structure south of the main gate. Take the yellow staircase beside the road, then go left past the wreckage toward the turquoise graffiti wall. Barghest patrol nearby. Leave this one for free roam rather than detouring during Hole in the Sky.
  • Heavy Hearts overpass building: the second floor of the dilapidated building opposite the pyramid's northwest side. Take the stone stairs from the overpass (green heavy machinery sits at the entrance), go left at the top, straight to the end, then right.
  • Luxor underpass: from the Luxor High Wellness Spa dataterm, follow the road southwest for about 250 m. The terminal is in the underpass on your left, behind a barricade with Voodoo Boys graffiti; jump the barricade.

The APB is Not Enough

After Dogtown's police response is active, make a manual save, then deliberately raise the Dogtown wanted level to five stars by fighting Barghest. The achievement unlocks as soon as the fifth star appears. Reload the save afterward if you do not want the mess or resource cost.

Easy Come, Easy Go

The vehicle-contract system opens when you steal your first Mysterious Signal vehicle (green steering-wheel marker), which starts Push It To The Limit. After that, steal the green steering-wheel vehicles you encounter while traveling and deliver them to El Capitan; repeat deliveries run as Just Another Story. The verified requirement is either 10 completed vehicle deliveries or the Arasaka medical-truck objective from Baby Let Me Take You. El Capitan offers that job after roughly 7–8 completed deliveries. The low-effort route is to keep doing contracts organically until either the medical-truck job unlocks or your tenth delivery triggers the achievement.

Starting the vehicle-contract system here also lets its deliveries accumulate naturally while you finish the base game.

Judgement Day

Collectibles 3 collectibles
  • Barghest base control room — Inside the BARGHEST Increased Criminal Activity site off Kress Street. The door needs Technical Ability (assume 15); otherwise use the floor-grate vent and ladder.

    DLC

  • Luxor Spa Voodoo Boys hideout — Inside the Voodoo Boys Increased Criminal Activity site, on the second floor behind a pillar near the glass bridge.

    DLC

  • Terra Cognita Massdrive hall — Inside the SCAVENGERS Increased Criminal Activity site, in a top-floor side room; the icon appears only at very close range.

    DLC

Dogtown contains three Increased Criminal Activity sites. Clear each site completely and eliminate its named boss; the achievement unlocks when the third boss is defeated. These are substantial combat encounters, so do them as your build becomes comfortable rather than forcing all three immediately. Three of the Restricted Data Terminals needed for Relic Ruler are inside these activity areas, so loot thoroughly before leaving. Bosses do not respawn, and the loot cages do not need to be opened for the achievement.

  • BARGHEST (Kress Street / Longshore Stacks tunnel): the boss is Ross Ulmer, who escapes through the tunnel and returns in a Centaur exoskeleton. The terminal is in the control room on the left after the long tunnel, off the boiler/crate room. Its door has a Technical Ability check (assume 15). Without it, drop through the floor grate into the vent and climb the ladder into the room. Expect mines and lasers further toward the boss.
  • Voodoo Boys (Luxor High Wellness Spa hideout): the boss is Ayo Zarin, fought on electrified water. The terminal is on the second floor of the big room with deck chairs, behind a pillar near the glass bridge. Watch for mines, cameras, and a turret.
  • SCAVENGERS (Terra Cognita Massdrive hall): the boss is a modified Arasaka MRS-071 drone. Take the escalator (the left one, by the mannequins) to the top floor; the terminal is in a side room there, with mines nearby. Its icon only appears at very close range, so follow the ping.

Pause the Phantom Liberty main story once Dogtown free roam is established. Return to Night City's base-game story while vehicle contracts and Mr. Hands calls can develop naturally.

Panam, the Badlands, Santo Domingo, and River

Ghost Town through Life During Wartime

Follow Rogue's lead into Ghost Town and continue Panam's main-story chain through Lightning Breaks and Life During Wartime. Keep Panam's relationship with V intact because her later questline is required for both an achievement and an ending.

The Wheel of Fortune

Interrogate Anders Hellman during Life During Wartime and finish the job. The achievement unlocks from the story after the interrogation sequence.

Panam's side-storyline

Wait for Riders on the Storm and make a manual save in its own slot before accepting it. Agree to help Panam, then continue to With a Little Help from My Friends.

During Riders on the Storm, ride with Panam and do not stall or go off elsewhere. If you head to another location she throws you out, and failing to rejoin her within about 24 in-game hours fails the quest, which ends Panam's storyline and costs both Life of the Road and The Star.

At the Aldecaldos meeting, agree to help with the Basilisk plan and do not reveal Panam's plan to Saul. Those choices preserve the questline. Finish Queen of the Highway when it becomes available.

Life of the Road

Complete Queen of the Highway and the closing Aldecaldos conversation. The achievement unlocks when Panam's storyline finishes. This also makes the Aldecaldos ending available later.

Santo Domingo cleanup

Collectibles 20 collectibles
  • Republic East — Arroyo, the northernmost Santo Domingo dataterm.

  • MLK & Brandon — Arroyo.

  • Megabuilding H6 — Arroyo.

  • Red Dirt Bar — Arroyo, at the Red Dirt bar on the Heywood side.

  • Hargreaves St — Arroyo.

  • Metro: Wollesen Street — Arroyo metro station.

  • Megabuilding H4 — Arroyo.

  • Arasaka Industrial Park — Arroyo.

  • San Amaro St — Rancho Coronado.

  • Rancho Coronado South — Rancho Coronado.

  • Rancho Coronado North — Rancho Coronado.

  • Metro: Megabuilding H7 — Rancho Coronado metro station, east of Megabuilding H6.

  • Mallagra & Manzanita — Rancho Coronado, in the town center near a MedPoint and a clothing store.

  • Kendal Park — Rancho Coronado.

  • Dam Viewpoint — Rancho Coronado (older name: Tama Viewpoint). A different point from the Badlands "Dam".

  • Rancho Coronado East — Rancho Coronado, the southernmost Santo Domingo dataterm.

  • Almunecar & Jerez — Rancho Coronado.

  • Piez — Rancho Coronado. Easy to miss.

  • Mission Waterfront — Near the western-most Santo Domingo ripperdoc. Easy to miss.

  • Woodhaven Street — Rancho Coronado, next to a garage in the southeast corner below the dam, east of the southeastern ripperdoc. Easy to miss.

Clear El Capitan's Santo Domingo gigs, any undiscovered Santo Domingo dataterms, the district's NCPD Scanner Hustles, and any open Santo Domingo Cyberpsycho Sightings as they are available. Cyberpsycho Sightings count as district gigs, so clear them as part of the district rather than leaving them for later. Because you already started Phantom Liberty's vehicle contracts, there is no reason to hold these gigs back. Continue vehicle deliveries when green steering-wheel opportunities appear nearby.

The Jungle

Complete every required gig and NCPD Scanner Hustle in Santo Domingo, plus the district's Cyberpsycho Sightings. The achievement unlocks when the last required district activity is finished.

River Ward's storyline

After the necessary Act 2 story progress, take Elizabeth Peralez's call and complete I Fought the Law. River later calls for The Hunt. Make a manual save in its own slot before starting it.

The Hunt is the dangerous step. When you sit with Joss in the kitchen, agree to help River ("'Course"); declining ("Can't, unfortunately") ends his chain. Thoroughly scan the braindances and investigation scenes rather than rushing the objectives. The correct farm is Edgewood Farm; choose it even if the braindance clues didn't point you there clearly, then rescue Randy. If River's chain survives, complete Following the River when he invites you to the family gathering. Romance is not required.

To Protect and Serve

Finish Following the River through the final conversation with River. The achievement unlocks when his storyline closes.

Badlands final cleanup

Collectibles 28 collectibles
  • 101 North — Northern Badlands, near Watson.

  • Oil Fields — The northernmost dataterm in the game, past Watson on the northern road.

  • Aldecaldos Camp (Mobile Camp / Nomad Camp) — One point: Mobile Camp in the middle of the Badlands before Panam's storyline, then Nomad Camp at the end of the northernmost road once it moves. Either counts.

  • Desert Film Set — Rocky Ridge area, at Jeff's Dirt Track east-northeast of the Rocky Ridge ghost town.

  • Rocky Ridge — In the Rocky Ridge ghost town, eastern Badlands.

  • Sunshine Motel — At the Militech-held Sunshine Motel, east of Rancho Coronado.

  • Big Rock — Rocky Ridge.

  • I-9 East — Rocky Ridge.

  • Old Turbines — Rocky Ridge.

  • Edgewood Farm — Eastern Badlands, at Edgewood Farm; a Wraith camp lies to the northeast.

  • Trailer Park — Red Peaks, at the Santo Domingo edge.

  • Sunset Motel — Red Peaks, on the city outskirts near a bar, weapon shop, and drop point.

  • Medeski Fuel Station — Red Peaks, inside the Municipal Landfill grounds.

  • Far Ridge — Sierra Sonora.

  • Wraith Camp — Sierra Sonora.

  • Dam — Laguna Bend.

  • Lake Farm — Laguna Bend.

  • Abandoned Fuel Station — Rattlesnake Creek, on Sage Gulch Rd in the southern Badlands. Easy to miss.

  • Abandoned Parking Lot — Biotechnica Flats, on the outskirts just south of Santo Domingo. Easy to miss.

  • Border Checkpoint — Biotechnica Flats, at the southern border crossing at the end of Highway 101.

  • Fuel Station — Biotechnica Flats, one of the southernmost points, near a weapon shop and drop point.

  • Las Palapas Motel — Biotechnica Flats, on Highway 101 south of the city.

  • Protein Farm — Biotechnica Flats, at the greenhouses beside a chapel, south of West Wind Estate.

  • Autowerks — Jackson Plains, at the New American Autoworks garage, northwest of Tango Tors Motel.

  • Regional Airport — Jackson Plains, at the regional airport just south-southeast of the Highway 101 fuel station.

  • Solar Arrays — Jackson Plains, inside the solar panel field.

  • Solar Power Station — Jackson Plains.

  • Tango Tors Motel — Jackson Plains, in the far southeast corner of the map.

Return to the Badlands after Life During Wartime, Panam's side-storyline, and The Hunt. This later sweep avoids treating an temporarily empty map as complete when later story or side-job progress can expose additional work. Clear every remaining Dakota gig and Badlands NCPD Scanner Hustle, and follow any linked Reported Crime objective to its final stash or evidence pickup. Also clear the three Badlands Cyberpsycho Sightings, which become available after Life During Wartime, and pick up any undiscovered Badlands dataterms on the way.

The Wasteland

Finish every required gig and NCPD Scanner Hustle in the Badlands, plus the Badlands Cyberpsycho Sightings. The achievement unlocks when the final required activity is properly closed.

Takemura, Johnny, and Kerry

Takemura's route through Search and Destroy

Continue Takemura's main jobs through Down on the Street, Gimme Danger, Play It Safe, and Search and Destroy. Make a manual save in its own slot before starting Search and Destroy, and keep it until The Devil is unlocked.

During Search and Destroy, Arasaka attacks the hideout and V falls through the floor. The objective tells you to escape and Johnny urges you to leave. Ignore both. Turn left through the opening in the wall, work back upstairs to room 303, kill the Arasaka troops, and leave the building with Takemura alive.

TRUE MISSABLE: saving Takemura here is required for The Devil. There is no objective marker telling you to rescue him.

The High Priestess

After escaping the hideout, continue until Hanako speaks to V through the doll at the motel. The achievement unlocks when that conversation ends Search and Destroy.

Tapeworm and Chippin' In

Complete the remaining Tapeworm sequence and allow Johnny to take control when he asks to contact Rogue. Continue into Chippin' In.

During the Ebunike section, take Johnny's Malorian Arms 3516 from Grayson. The car is optional for Breathtaking. At the oil fields, use the conversation to repair Johnny's relationship with V rather than shutting him down. The safest dialogue sequence is to tell him he also messed up the friendship, ask what he wants, grant the second chance, and agree to call Rogue. That preserves Blistering Love and Rogue's ending route.

Chippin' In also supplies Johnny's aviators and replica Samurai jacket, while Johnny's tank top comes from the Tapeworm sequence. Keep all of these until Breathtaking has unlocked.

Blistering Love

Call Rogue, pick her up at the Afterlife, and complete the drive-in sequence. The romance-flavored responses are optional; the important requirement is that Blistering Love exists and is completed.

Bushido and Chill

Finish the Bushido X movie date with Rogue. The achievement unlocks when Blistering Love closes. Completing this route also opens Kerry Eurodyne's chain and preserves The Sun as a base-game ending option.

Kerry Eurodyne's storyline

Continue Holdin' On, Second Conflict, A Like Supreme, Rebel! Rebel!, I Don't Wanna Hear It, and Off The Leash. During Rebel! Rebel!, stay with Kerry and escape the police together, then finish the diner sequence with him; abandoning him mid-job can permanently end his storyline and lock out To Bad Decisions!. Calls can take in-game time; if one stalls, do another side activity, save and reload, or move through the city rather than repeatedly skipping time in place.

Make a manual save before the rooftop conversation in Off The Leash. When Kerry opens up, choose "You can tell me" and avoid "Little too heavy for me right now," which can prevent Boat Drinks. Boat Drinks follows with a call from Kerry at least 24 in-game hours after Off The Leash ends. If the call stalls, do other activities or visit him rather than repeatedly skipping time. Inside Boat Drinks, agree to help destroy the yacht. The achievement still unlocks even if you turn down the romance.

To Bad Decisions!

Complete Boat Drinks and finish the conversation on the beach. The achievement unlocks when Kerry's storyline closes. Romance is not required.

Night City Completion Sweep

In every district below, clear that district's Cyberpsycho Sightings together with its gigs and NCPD Scanner Hustles before treating the district as finished. Sightings count as gigs toward each district achievement and are also required for I Am The Law, so one sweep covers both. If an activity won't appear or a district won't complete, call or visit that district's fixer, check the journal's Completed tab for anything still open, and read any unread shards from earlier gigs, since some activities only start after their shard is read. Each district section also carries that district's fast travel dataterms for Frequent Flyer; tick off any you have not already passed while you are there.

  • Pumping Station — Wellsprings.

  • Parque Del Mar — Wellsprings.

  • Megabuilding H2 — Wellsprings.

Work through Padre's gig batches in Heywood. When Gig: Psychofan becomes available, treat the apartment as a one-time opportunity; re-entry afterward is not reliable.

Inside apartment 1702, go upstairs to the bedroom and loot Johnny's Pants from the suitcase before completing the gig. This costs almost no time.

Then finish every remaining Heywood gig, NCPD Scanner Hustle, and Cyberpsycho Sighting.

Mean Streets

The achievement unlocks when the final required Heywood gig or NCPD Scanner Hustle is completed, including the district's Cyberpsycho Sightings.

  • Lele Park — Charter Hill, at the open-air mall in the middle of the district.

  • Dynalar — Charter Hill.

  • Longshore South — Charter Hill.

Finish Wakako's gig batches. Gig: Family Heirloom comes from Rogue, not Wakako. It requires Street Cred 35 and main job Ghost Town, and may not appear until Wakako's Westbrook gigs (and sometimes nearby Westbrook hustles) are done. Do not assume Westbrook is finished merely because the map looked empty earlier.

During Family Heirloom, loot Johnny's Shoes from the same locker containing the gig objective (the Bootleg Shard) before finishing the gig. Treat this as missable rather than relying on later re-entry. Finish the remaining Westbrook NCPD activities and Cyberpsycho Sightings afterward.

Little Tokyo

Complete every required gig and NCPD Scanner Hustle in Westbrook, plus its Cyberpsycho Sightings. The achievement unlocks on the final required activity.

Breathtaking

You should now have the six required Johnny items: tank top, aviators, replica Samurai jacket, Malorian Arms 3516, pants (Psychofan), and shoes (Rogue's Family Heirloom gig). The Porsche is not required. The achievement unlocks as soon as the last required item has been collected.

If it does not unlock, verify the inventory/stash state of all six items and reload the save before collecting whichever item was last. Keep the Psychofan save until this achievement is confirmed.

City Lights

The achievement unlocks when the final required City Center gig or NCPD Scanner Hustle closes, including the district's Cyberpsycho Sightings.

Return to Pacifica after Transmission so every story-gated activity is available. Finish its gigs and NCPD Scanner Hustles, and clear the Pacifica Cyberpsycho Sightings, including the late one (Lex Talionis) that only appears after Transmission.

A known stall point: one NCPD Scanner Hustle northeast of the stadium may fail to spawn. Finish every other Pacifica hustle first, then go to V's apartment, sleep, and skip 16 hours from the menu. Return and check the area; the final hustle may then appear. If it still hasn't, fast travel away and back, or return at night.

Greetings from Pacifica!

The achievement unlocks when every required Pacifica gig and NCPD Scanner Hustle is complete. This includes the Pacifica Cyberpsycho Sightings. If it has not popped, check the stadium hustle above.

  • Clarendon St — Little China, the far southwest corner of Watson.

Return to Watson now that the lockdown is long gone, your Street Cred is high, and Regina's gig tiers have had time to unlock. Finish every remaining gig, NCPD Scanner Hustle, and Cyberpsycho Sighting rather than trusting an earlier empty-looking map.

It's Elementary

The achievement unlocks when the final required Watson gig or NCPD Scanner Hustle is completed, including the district's Cyberpsycho Sightings.

Cyberpsycho Sightings

There are 17 Cyberpsycho Sightings in the base game. By now most should already be done inside the district sweeps above; use this step as a final check. They unlock across story progress:

  • Watson: Six Feet Under, Bloody Ritual (only at night, after 8 PM, once Playing for Time is complete), Where the Bodies Hit the Floor, Demons of War, Lt. Mower, Ticket to the Major Leagues.
  • City Center: On Deaf Ears (enter from the highway via the garage entrance about 40 m west of the icon), Phantom of Night City.
  • Heywood: Letter of the Law, Seaside Cafe.
  • Pacifica: Smoke on the Water, Lex Talionis (after Transmission).
  • Santo Domingo: Under the Bridge, Discount Doc.
  • Badlands: The Wasteland, House on a Hill, Second Chances (all after Life During Wartime).

Use the journal and map to confirm all sightings are closed. Killing or sparing the cyberpsycho does not affect completion. Regina prefers them alive, so the safest completion route is to use non-lethal finishers or stop attacking once a cyberpsycho is incapacitated, then read the required evidence and message Regina when prompted.

I Am The Law

Complete all 17 Cyberpsycho Sightings. The achievement unlocks when the last required sighting is fully completed.

Tarot, fast travel, and Street Cred

By this point most collectible-style progress should already be nearly finished from natural travel.

The Wandering Fool

Scan all 20 tarot graffiti used by Fool on the Hill. The two tarot cards associated with base-game endings are not part of the required 20. Tarot graffiti are marked on the map as the story progresses, and all are marked after the story, so check the map for any you are missing. The Lovers graffiti is inside the drive-in, which opens during Blistering Love. The achievement may pop on the twentieth scan or only when the side job is finished, so scan all 20, then return to Misty and finish Fool on the Hill if it has not already unlocked.

Frequent Flyer

Discover all 159 base-game fast travel dataterms. Each one registers when you move within about 20 m of it; you do not need to interact. The 159 include the 19 NCART Metro stations, the four apartment dataterms (no purchase needed), and the Aldecaldos camp, which counts once whether it shows as Mobile Camp or, after it moves north at the end of Panam's storyline, as Nomad Camp. Phantom Liberty's six Dogtown dataterms do not count. None of the dataterms are missable, and all remain available after the credits.

The game has no counter and does not show undiscovered street dataterms on the map. The Xbox achievement shows only an approximate percentage. Use the district checklists in the Collectibles section; each district's dataterms are attached to that district's sweep above. Most dataterms sit beside a road and register within about 20 m, but some are up on elevated walkways or at Metro station entrances that a road sweep can miss, so check those on foot. Many street-corner entries are named for the junction they stand on. If a name in the checklist is still missing, drive every road in its sub-district and watch for the icon appearing, starting near the landmark or neighboring dataterm given in its entry. The usual stragglers are:

  • Goldsmith Street (Northside), Pinewood Junction, Allen St, and Arasaka Waterfront North in Watson.
  • Kerry Eurodyne's Residence in Westbrook.
  • Skyline & Republic, Reconciliation Park, and Metro: Sarasti & Republic in City Center.
  • College St, Senate & Market, and Cannery Plaza in Heywood.
  • Mission Waterfront, Woodhaven Street, and Piez in Santo Domingo.
  • Metro: Pacifica – Stadium.
  • Abandoned Fuel Station and Abandoned Parking Lot in the Badlands.

Metro stations can already be marked on the map after the NCART City Pass message, so a station icon does not prove you have discovered it. Walk to each station entrance. Several stations were renamed in Update 2.1, and the checklist gives both names.

Treat all 159 as required. If the tracker appears stuck after every district is checked, interact with any discovered dataterm and back out, then relaunch the game before assuming the achievement is broken.

Legend of The Afterlife

Reach Street Cred 50. If this has not already unlocked naturally, finish remaining gigs, scanner hustles, and hostile open-world events. The achievement triggers the moment Street Cred reaches its maximum level of 50.

Phantom Liberty — Full Campaign and Branches

Resume Dogtown through Birds With Broken Wings

Return to Reed's campaign and continue the Phantom Liberty story. During waits between main jobs, complete available Mr. Hands gigs, vehicle contracts, Restricted Data Terminals, and any Increased Criminal Activity site you postponed.

Birds With Broken Wings grants the second batch of three story Relic points. Combined with the first three from Dog Eat Dog and the nine Restricted Data Terminals in Dogtown, there are 15 Relic points available for the achievement route.

Relic Ruler

Collect all nine Restricted Data Terminals and receive both sets of story-granted Relic points. Spend the resulting 15 points so every perk in the Relic Perk tree is unlocked. The tree has nine perks:

  • Jailbreak (3 points), plus Spatial Mapping, Limiter Removal, Launch Capacity Override, and Data Tunneling (1 point each).
  • Emergency Cloaking (3 points), plus Sensory Protocol (1 point).
  • Vulnerability Analytics (3 points), plus Machine Learning (1 point).

Each 1-point perk requires its branch's 3-point root. The achievement triggers when the entire Relic tree is unlocked, not merely when the final point is collected.

Check your balance under Character > Relic. If you are short after visiting all nine terminals, revisit any terminal that still looks active and jack in again: an interrupted hack can fail to award its point. Refunding perks does not fix a missing point.

Firestarter — permanent branch save

Continue to Firestarter. Play through the infiltration until Songbird and Reed's plans diverge and the game asks whether to help Songbird escape or help Reed capture her.

Make a permanent manual save before making this decision. You need both branches for all four King achievements, and the branches contain completely different missions.

Songbird branch — The Killing Moon

Choose to help Songbird escape by uploading the access codes. Continue into The Killing Moon.

Spin Doctor

While The Killing Moon has you waiting for word from Songbird, Mr. Hands calls with Run This Town. Complete it on this branch before continuing The Killing Moon to its final choice. Any outcome completes the job, and the achievement unlocks when it finishes. Run This Town can unlock on either branch once Hansen is dead, but doing it here first is the simplest order and leaves nothing to chase after you reload the Firestarter save.

If the call does not come, advance time or roam Dogtown. If the Hasan side job Go Your Own Way is available, finish it too, as the call can follow it. If the achievement does not unlock after Run This Town, quick save and reload, or finish The Killing Moon and check again.

Continue The Killing Moon until the final trip toward the shuttle. Near the final Reed confrontation, make another manual save before committing Songbird's fate.

King of Wands

Refuse Reed's deal, keep Songbird, and send her to the stars. Finish the branch through its credits and post-credit return. The achievement unlocks for completing the outcome where Songbird reaches the shuttle.

Reload the manual save from the final part of The Killing Moon.

King of Swords

This time accept Reed's deal and hand Songbird over. Finish the branch through its closing scenes. The achievement unlocks for taking Songbird home by surrendering her to Reed.

This outcome can unlock access to The Tower, but do not start that ending yet. Reload the permanent Firestarter save so you can take Reed's branch as well.

Reed branch — Somewhat Damaged

From the Firestarter save, choose to help Reed capture Songbird by arming the ICEbreaker. Continue through Black Steel in the Hour of Chaos and Somewhat Damaged.

At the end of Somewhat Damaged, before entering Songbird's core for the final conversation, make a separate manual save.

King of Cups

Enter the core and fulfill Songbird's request by ending her life. Continue through Leave in Silence and the closing scenes until the outcome is fully recorded. The achievement unlocks for honoring her request.

Reload the manual save outside the core.

King of Pentacles

Refuse Songbird's request and keep her alive. Continue through Leave in Silence and surrender her to the NUSA. Finish the closing scenes. The achievement unlocks for refusing her request.

Keep this King of Pentacles timeline as your continuing save. It preserves access to the NUSA cure route needed for The Tower.

The Tower ending

After the Reed-path follow-up Four Score and Seven, the cure route eventually opens Who Wants to Live Forever. Before starting that mission, make a permanent manual save and do not overwrite it.

Before you reach the point of no return, check your phone. If you never replied to Viktor's text "New cyberware software updates", reply to it via Phone > Viktor Vektor. An unanswered text can reportedly leave Viktor's basement door shut during Things Done Changed. The point of no return is at the end of Who Wants to Live Forever, when you call Reed and confirm your decision.

The Tower

Proceed with the NUSA cure route through Who Wants to Live Forever and Things Done Changed. The achievement unlocks when Things Done Changed finishes and the credits begin.

Afterward, load the permanent pre-ending save. The Tower does not give the normal One More Gig return to Night City, so continuing from the ending itself is not a safe cleanup route.

Mr. Hands post-Firestarter cleanup

Back on the retained King of Pentacles timeline, return to Dogtown and let time pass while doing remaining gigs or vehicle work. Spin Doctor should already be done from the Songbird branch. If it is somehow still pending and Mr. Hands calls with Run This Town here, complete it.

Two late Mr. Hands gigs, Heaviest of Hearts and Roads to Redemption, become available after the Firestarter portion of the expansion. No Dogtown gig is branch-locked or missable, so finish the full Dogtown gig list on this timeline.

Dirty Deeds

Complete all nine qualifying Dogtown gigs:

  • Dogtown Saints
  • Treating Symptoms
  • Waiting for Dodger
  • Prototype in the Scraper
  • The Man Who Killed Jason Foreman (requires meeting Briana during the evening vigil, 10 pm–6 am)
  • Talent Academy
  • Spy in the Jungle
  • Heaviest of Hearts
  • Roads to Redemption

Mr. Hands' map counter shows 10 gigs because it includes the base-game Pacifica gig Two Wrongs Makes Us Right, which does not count. Run This Town is also not one of the nine. The achievement unlocks after Mr. Hands' thank-you call, which arrives within about a minute of closing the ninth gig. If that call is delayed, stay in free roam until the gig completion registers before troubleshooting.

If Easy Come, Easy Go or Judgement Day is still unfinished, clean those up now before leaving Dogtown for the last time.

Late-Game Combat, Cyberware, and Money Cleanup

Cyberware-dependent combat achievements

Make a manual save before buying expensive cyberware. Several of these achievements can be done on a temporary setup and then reverted.

Rough Landing

Berserk cyberware must be active. The documented route on the 2.0+ Series build is Zetatech Berserk, the only Berserk whose description lists the Superhero Landing ability (used while airborne with a Blunt weapon). Equip a blunt weapon, activate Berserk, jump over a tightly clustered pair of weak enemies, and use the Superhero Landing while airborne so the impact kills or incapacitates both at once.

Using Quake (Body perk) with a different Berserk model is an unverified alternative; do not rely on it.

Do not use a non-lethal weapon mod, because enemies downed that way can get back up. Lower the difficulty, soften the enemies first, and use double jump or an elevated ledge if you need more control. If repeated correct attempts still fail, temporarily refund Quake so the landing can only come from Zetatech's Superhero Landing, then try again; this is an unconfirmed fix but costs nothing to test. If it still fails, try it on a fresh save. The achievement triggers only when two enemies are taken out by the qualifying landing.

Daemon In The Shell

Equip a cyberdeck and obtain the Detonate Grenade quickhack. Find a group of at least three tightly packed enemies, save, lower the difficulty if needed, and use Detonate Grenade on the target whose grenade blast will catch the group. The achievement unlocks when one Detonate Grenade quickhack kills or incapacitates three enemies.

V for Vendetta

At sufficiently high character level, install Second Heart in a Circulatory System slot. Attribute requirements from the original 1.x version no longer apply on the current Series build.

Save, leave one ordinary enemy alive, let that enemy kill you, and be ready to attack immediately when Second Heart revives you. Kill or incapacitate the same enemy within five seconds of revival. The achievement triggers from that retaliatory takedown. Reload afterward if you bought the implant only for this achievement.

Cyberware and crafting

Full Body Conversion

At a ripperdoc, install at least one cyberware implant in every current body category: Frontal Cortex, Face, Circulatory System, Nervous System, Integumentary System, Operating System, Skeleton, Hands, Arms, and Legs. Only one implant is needed in categories that offer multiple slots. The achievement unlocks as soon as all ten categories are occupied at the same time.

Master Crafter

Craft three Tier 5 orange items. On the current 2.0+ crafting system, this no longer requires the old Technical Ability perk investment. Safest route: craft three normal Tier 5 gear items from available specifications rather than relying on crafted components. Crafting counts; upgrading an existing item to Tier 5 is not confirmed to count. The achievement unlocks on the third qualifying Tier 5 craft.

If it does not unlock on an older or migrated character, complete the three Tier 5 crafts on a fresh character.

  • Thorton Colby "Little Mule" — €$41,000; Street Cred 26.

  • Mizutani Shion "Coyote" — €$77,000; Street Cred 34. Only the purchased copy counts.

  • Quadra Type-66 "Javelina" — €$99,000; Street Cred 42.

Autojock

Buy the 26 base-game vehicles (23 cars and 3 bikes) from the Autofixer site, using V's apartment computer or any Autofixer terminal. They are listed in the Autojock Vehicles checklist in the Collectibles section. Street Cred is the only purchase gate, and Street Cred 50 unlocks everything; the Rayfield Aerondight "Guinevere" and Rayfield Caliburn need the full 50. Order does not matter. The full set costs about €$1,379,000.

The Autofixer also lists vehicles added in later updates and in Phantom Liberty. They do not count. Free, gifted, and quest-reward vehicles do not count either; only a purchased copy satisfies a slot. Watch these three naming traps:

  • Archer Quartz: buy the EC-T2 R660. The EC-L R275 is a separate, later addition.
  • Thorton Colby: buy the C125. The CST40 (also called C240T) is a different car.
  • Quadra Type-66: buy "Jen Rowley". The 640 TS and 680 TS are later additions and do not substitute for it.

Make a manual save before spending. With Phantom Liberty, El Capitan's Autofixer discount shards come from vehicle contracts and the repeatable races. They stack up to 100%, apply only to your next purchase, and reset after it, so spend them on the most expensive cars. Buy all 26 on the same active save; that is the dependable method. Whether purchases made on separate saves add up is unverified, so don't plan around it. Once the achievement unlocks, it stays unlocked even if you reload the pre-purchase save, so you can reload to get the money back.

If it has not unlocked after all 26, check that you own the exact three trap variants above, then follow the synchronization and console-cache steps in Before You Start.

Base-Game Endings

Nocturne Op55N1 — rooftop branch save

Do not enter Embers until Panam's storyline, Blistering Love, Takemura's rescue, and the completion-critical side content above are secured. Once ready, begin Nocturne Op55N1 and continue until Misty leads V to the rooftop.

Make a permanent manual save on the rooftop before you sit down beside Misty; once you sit, normal saving is unavailable until the ending branch progresses. This is the branch point for all four base-game ending achievements.

The hidden Don't Fear the Reaper route is not required for the achievement list.

Arasaka route

Reload the rooftop save when necessary and choose to trust Hanako/Arasaka. Takemura must have survived Search and Destroy for the relevant achievement.

The Devil

Follow the Arasaka route through Last Caress and Totalimmortal. With Takemura alive, The Devil unlocks during this ending route after the confrontation with Yorinobu. Continue through the ending anyway so the run closes cleanly.

Aldecaldos route

Reload the rooftop save. Call Panam and choose the Aldecaldos plan, which is available because Life of the Road was completed.

At Mikoshi, choose the outcome where V keeps V's body, then finish the Aldecaldos epilogue.

The Star

Complete the Aldecaldos ending with V retaining the body and leaving Night City with the clan. The achievement unlocks during the ending sequence as the Aldecaldos departure is completed.

The World

The first time you fully complete one of the standard base-game main-story endings and reach its credits, The World unlocks for completing the main storyline. If you followed this guide's ending order, it should already have appeared by the end of either The Devil or The Star run.

After the credits, use One More Gig or reload the rooftop save for the remaining ending routes.

Rogue route — V keeps the body

Reload the rooftop save and choose the plan to let Johnny and Rogue attack Arasaka. Complete the assault and defeat Adam Smasher. If you want extra insurance, save again before the final Mikoshi choice.

Choose the outcome where V retains the body and Johnny leaves with Alt.

The Sun

Finish Path of Glory with V as the Afterlife legend. The achievement unlocks when the ending reaches its final sequence and credits.

Rogue or Aldecaldos route — Johnny keeps the body

Reload the pre-Mikoshi or rooftop save. Reach Mikoshi again through either the Rogue or Aldecaldos route, then choose the opposite body outcome: Johnny keeps V's body and V leaves with Alt.

Temperance

Finish the Johnny epilogue. The achievement unlocks when the ending confirms that Johnny has kept the body.

At this point, verify the Xbox list shows 57/57 and 1,455/1,455. If a one-time achievement is missing despite its requirement being completed, stay online and allow up to 72 hours for synchronization if you played offline. Then clear the console cache (hold the Xbox button for 10 seconds, unplug for two minutes, restart) and relaunch the game. Only after that, use the preserved manual save to repeat just that trigger rather than starting another playthrough.

Fast Travel Dataterms — Watson

37 in the game

Frequent Flyer needs all 159 base-game dataterms across seven district lists, including the 19 NCART Metro stations; Dogtown's dataterms do not count. A dataterm registers when you get within about 20 m of it. Undiscovered street dataterms are not shown on the map. Several Metro stations were renamed in Update 2.1, so both names are given. Each entry gives its sub-district and, where one exists, the nearest landmark or neighboring dataterm. For the rest, drive every road in that sub-district: most dataterms sit beside a road and appear on the map once you pass within about 20 m, but check elevated walkways and Metro station entrances on foot.
