▶Before You Start
Deadpool on Xbox 360 has 50 achievements worth 1,000 Gamerscore. All of them are in the base game. The Merc with a Map Pack pre-order DLC adds two challenge maps and costumes but no achievements, and you do not need it.
This guide covers the Xbox 360 list only. The 2015 Xbox One re-release has a separate list with identical names, and progress does not transfer between them.
- Availability (as of 2026-10-10): the Xbox 360 version is delisted, and the Xbox 360 Store itself closed on July 29, 2024. Previously purchased copies can still be re-downloaded. The 360 version does not appear on the Xbox One / Series backward compatibility list, so plan on a 360 disc or an existing digital licence on Xbox 360 hardware.
- Online: none. The game is single-player only, and no achievement needs servers.
- Unobtainable achievements: none known.
- Missables: nothing is permanently missable. Chapter select lets you replay any chapter. Most chapter achievements are one-shot challenges, though, and failing one means replaying that section, so this guide routes each one before you reach it.
- Difficulty: the three settings are Genetically Superior, Veteran and Ultra-Violence!, and all three can be picked on a new game. Clearing every chapter on Ultra-Violence! also unlocks the Veteran achievement, so you only need one hard run.
- Playthroughs: expect one full story run on Genetically Superior, a few chapter-select replays, and a full Ultra-Violence! run that you can split across sessions with chapter select.
- Weapon purchases: Chapter 4 needs the Hammers and the Pulse Rifle, and Chapter 5 needs the Sais. Farm DP at the start of Chapter 2 to afford them.
- The big grind: Unbalanced and Drunk on power together cost roughly 6.5 million DP. Finish the grind before Ultra-Violence!, which is much easier with everything maxed.
▶How Retries Work
Many achievements fail the moment you break a rule: you take damage, fall, counter or die.
The game shows no failure notice for most of them, and how you retry matters. Never walk through the next checkpoint after a failure, because that can lock the miss in. There are three ways to retry:
- Restart Checkpoint (pause menu): the quickest. It works for the waterslide, Arclight, Beer goggles (only before the tube jump), Remarkably quiet and the Breach. Each achievement section says when this is safe.
- Quit and Continue: quit to the main menu or the dashboard, then choose Continue. On some challenges the failure survives Restart Checkpoint, Fish out of water most of all, but loading back in this way clears it. You lose whatever you gained since that checkpoint. Use this whenever a section does not say otherwise.
- Restart Chapter (pause menu): starts the chapter over with a clean slate and keeps all the DP you have earned. Use it for whole-chapter challenges, challenges near the start of a chapter, and 49 in 5.
▶Route Overview
- At the start of Chapter 2, farm DP in the sewer tutorial and get the cooked-grenade kills. Buy the Hammers and the Pulse Rifle before Chapter 4, and the Sais before Chapter 5.
- Play the story on Genetically Superior and do each chapter's challenges as they come up.
- Use chapter select to replay Front Gates of EEEEEEEVIL! for the combo and death achievements.
- Grind DP until you have every Player Upgrade and every weapon at max.
- Clear all eight chapters on Ultra-Violence! with chapter select.
- Earn five Golds on the challenge maps.
▶Anytime Achievements
▶Only when he stops breathing
Open the audio options and drag the Dialog Volume slider to zero. Once the achievement pops, turn it back up. Deadpool's voice cast is half the game.
▶Chapter 1: Home Sweet Home
▶The Apartment
▶The first one's free!
This unlocks automatically as the game opens and Deadpool gets moving.
▶The second one is also free...
This unlocks automatically during the opening, alongside The first one's free!. You cannot miss it. The toilet is still one of the apartment interactions for Makin’ a game!.
▶Makin’ a game!
Interact with every piece of Deadpool's junk in the apartment. The commonly cited list is 14 items:
- the TV
- the neon guitar
- the couch (take a nap)
- the bookcase
- the phone
- the dog
- the stove
- the fridge (keep drinking until Deadpool yells)
- the pizza (keep eating, about four times, until he stops)
- the bathroom sink (wash the germs off)
- the toilet (the stink pickle)
- the pump in the bedroom
- the computer
- the gun wall
Prompt wording varies, so press the interact button on anything with a prompt, and repeat any prompt that keeps giving new lines. The achievement pops when the last item is done. If you leave the apartment without it, replay the chapter.
▶I'm expecting company
Interact with the kitchen stove to start the pancake gag. Deadpool churns out the thousand pancakes himself, and the achievement normally unlocks during that animation. There is no long grind. The stove also counts toward Makin’ a game!.
▶Chapter 2: Job One
▶Sewer Tutorial: DP and Grenade Farming
Job One opens in the sewer with the combat tutorial. This is the best early-game location to farm DP, and the easiest place to get the cooked-grenade kills.
Chapter 4 needs the Hammers (150,000 DP) and the Pulse Rifle (200,000 DP), and Chapter 5 needs the Sais (80,000 DP). Normal play will not earn that much by then, so farm now.
- Fight the tutorial enemies, keeping your combo going for the bonus DP.
- Wait for the autosave icon to disappear.
- Pause and choose Restart Chapter. You go back to the start of the sewer with your DP intact.
- Repeat. Spent DP stays spent, so buy as you go.
Expect roughly 200,000 DP per five loops. Buy in this order:
- The Greedy upgrades for the Blades (Greedy, Greedier and Greediest add more DP per kill).
- Frag Grenades (10,000 DP), for the achievement below.
- The Hammers and the Pulse Rifle.
- The Sais.
Anything left over can go into basic Player Upgrades. This loop is for early purchases. The big post-story grind has a faster farm in Death, Baby.
▶Pull the grenade, throw the pin
You need 15 kills from grenades you hold until they explode in your hand. Hold the throw button and do not let go. Stand next to a group so the blast catches several at once.
The sewer tutorial has enemies that do not attack, which makes this easy. Do it at full health in case the blast hurts Deadpool. The count is a running total, so you can finish it anywhere if you run short.
▶Taco Savior
Taco Savior10G
Tacos drop from enemies and turn up on the floor. They also refill momentum. You need 100 in total, and normal play usually gets you there by about the third chapter. Just grab every taco you see.
▶Studio Lobby
▶In the lobby comboin' your dudes
In the studio lobby fight, get a combo above 40 before the elevators lock down. The lockdown triggers when you walk toward the elevators, so stay in the lobby fighting area until the achievement pops. Going into the elevator room too early can also stop the second group of enemies from spawning and leave you stuck short of 40.
- Use light attacks with the starting blades to stretch the combo.
- Teleport out of attacks instead of eating them.
- The combo has to end naturally. If you take a hit after passing 40, it does not count, so stop attacking and let it expire safely.
If you fail before the lockdown, restart the checkpoint and try again. If the lockdown has already triggered, use Restart Chapter.
▶Elevator Shaft to the Boardroom
▶49 in 5
49 in 510G
After the lockdown you restore power and ride a lift that stalls, then wall-jump up the shaft. The five-minute timer starts when you force the lift doors open at the top with your swords. You must get through the boardroom without dying within five minutes. Do not stop at the boardroom dialogue. Keep going onto the exterior ledge and the window-washer platforms until the achievement pops. Genetically Superior makes this easy. Skip optional pickups and keep moving.
If you die, do not restart the checkpoint, which is reported to void this one. Use Restart Chapter instead.
▶Rooftop and Chapter End
▶The house that bounces
This is a story achievement for finishing Job One.
▶Chapter 3: Taking a Chance
This chapter has three no-mistake sections. All three can be retried with Restart Checkpoint, as long as you have not passed the next checkpoint.
▶Arclight
▶Catch me if you can
Beat Arclight without taking damage from her slam attacks. It is not certain exactly which attacks count, so avoid all of them:
- Keep your distance from her ground slams. Jump to avoid them rather than relying only on teleport, since the ground slam may block it.
- Never let her grab and throw you.
- Burn her down with momentum attacks as soon as they are charged. Ending the fight fast is the safest route.
If a slam connects, Deadpool turns orange and slows down. That means the run has failed, so pause and restart the checkpoint.
▶Switches, Phasers and Vertigo
▶Beer goggles
Beer goggles20G
Right after Arclight, you reach a central room with two side paths. Inside 60 seconds you must use all three switches, kill both phasers, and chase after Vertigo. The timer starts after the short cutscene.
- Go down one side path and hit its switch. Dropping two mines at the start helps with the phasers.
- The two phasers spawn back in the central room. Kill them.
- Go down the other side path and hit its switch.
- Hit the central switch where you came in.
- Cross the new platform into the corridor and the tube.
It pops when you reach the pipe in the middle of the tube. Decide before you jump over the hole inside the tube. If it has not popped by then, restart the checkpoint and try again. Once you jump the hole you reach a new checkpoint, and a miss then means restarting the chapter.
▶Waterslide
▶HEEEEY YOOOOO GUYYYYYSSSS!
The chapter ends with Vertigo knocking you into the water and a waterslide. Get down it without taking any damage. The hazards are falling gates and grates, and each one always has an open lane. Watch for the gap ahead and steer into it early. If you get hit, pause and restart the checkpoint. That does not void this one.
▶Chapter End
▶No Chance in heaven
This is a story achievement for finishing Taking a Chance.
▶Chapter 4: Genosha
▶Before You Start the Chapter
▶Shall I? I Shanti!
From the start of Genosha until you reach the fan girl, use only the Hammers and the Pulse Rifle.
- Required: buy both before the chapter (see Sewer Tutorial: DP and Grenade Farming).
- Required: equip only those two, and do not use the blades, the pistols, the sais or any other weapon.
- Safest route: skip grenades, traps and other equipment too.
The fan girl comes mid-chapter, before the Tower Plaza and the Wheel of Insanity, so the restriction does not affect the other Genosha achievements. If you slip, do not restart the checkpoint. Quit and Continue if the slip came after your last checkpoint, otherwise use Restart Chapter or replay Genosha later with chapter select.
▶Arrival and Cable
▶Let's try one more time...
When Deadpool gets the chance to slap Wolverine, keep slapping until the achievement pops. It takes a lot of slaps, so keep pressing the prompt.
▶Curious about Cable
When Cable drops into the arena, pick the WTF is Cable option and let the bit play.
▶Reaching the Fan Girl
Keep using only the Hammers and the Pulse Rifle through the climb and the lobby levels until you reach the fan girl outside. Shall I? I Shanti! can pop after the fan girl and Cable cutscene rather than the moment you reach her, so keep the restriction until it unlocks. After that you are free to use any weapon.
▶Tower Plaza and the Wheel of Insanity
▶Remarkably quiet
Right after the fan girl, kill four enemies in the Tower Plaza with stealth kills, starting with the guard in front of you. Sneak up behind each one and use the stealth prompt. Gunfire breaks stealth. If one spots you, restart the checkpoint and skip the cutscene.
▶This game is rigged!
After the fight with Cable and the Weathermen, the Wheel of Insanity shows up on two floors of the tower. Shoot every target on both, with any weapon:
- first wheel, at the base of the tower: all the balloons
- second wheel, on the first floating-platform stage: all the balloons and the cow
The third wheel at the top has no targets. Look around carefully at each wheel before moving on.
▶Sentinel Parts and Chapter End
▶Caribou’s Shoe
This is a story achievement for finishing Genosha.
▶Chapter 5: Landed in Prison
▶Before You Start the Chapter
Make sure you own the Sais before you start. You need the Blades, the Sais and the Hammers for Silent and deadly.
▶So you've got some free time?
Finish Landed in Prison without countering a single attack.
- Teleport and counter share the B button. Teleporting is allowed, but pressing B near an enemy can trigger a counter instead. The safest route is to not press B at all in this chapter. If you do teleport, only do it with no enemy close by. Shoot and use grenades instead.
- Bring plenty of flashbangs and grenades for the Blockbuster fight.
You get an audible POW! when you counter. If you counter by accident, go straight to the Xbox dashboard, relaunch, and choose Continue, all before the next autosave can lock it in. Do not rely on Restart Checkpoint or a main-menu quit for this one. If you are not sure whether an autosave happened, use Restart Chapter, which always works. This chapter also has Fish out of water, so do both on the same careful run.
▶Shower Surprise Party
▶Social butterfly
Early in the chapter, Deadpool dreams up a party room. There are eight groups of ladies, and you must talk to all of them before Rogue at the back, because Rogue ends the scene. Starting from the entrance:
- Straight ahead, by the pool.
- To the right, between two girls.
- To the left of those two, by the girl on the wall.
- Two girls past that, by the pool.
- The corner group past those. Then head back toward the entrance.
- The girl in the left corner.
- The girls on the couch along the left wall.
- Dance in the music area.
Numbers 5, 7 and 8 are the usual misses.
▶Toxic River
▶Fish out of water
Cross the Toxic River without falling in, touching the water or taking damage from it. The section is a long chain of platforms and double jumps, so take each jump slowly. A chest along the way gives you the long teleport. The achievement pops after you clear a room once you have it.
Required habit: if you touch the water, do not restart the checkpoint, because the failure survives it. Quit to the main menu or the dashboard and choose Continue. If you have already used Restart Checkpoint after a failure, replay the chapter.
▶Sinister's Lair
These two achievements share one stealth section with four patrolling guards, then Sinister.
▶Silent and deadly
Stealth-kill the guards in the lair without being spotted, using each of the game's three melee weapons at least once: the Blades, the Sais and the Hammers. Switch weapons between kills.
- The first guard is easy, near the start.
- The second patrols the entryway. Kill him at an edge, since a leaping stealth kill is more likely to be seen.
- Two more cross paths further in. Wait in a far corner for them to split up.
If you are detected, quit and Continue.
▶Game Over!
Game Over!20G
The last guard keeps walking back and forth to Sinister's throne. Hide in the alcove under the stairs, kill him, then go up behind the throne and stealth-kill Sinister with the sword. Swords must be equipped when you use the prompt.
▶Arena and Blockbuster
▶Game On!
Game On!10G
After Sinister falls, Deadpool thinks he has won, the fake credits roll, and he ends up on Twitter. When he teleports himself to the arena, this achievement pops automatically. You cannot miss it.
Beat Blockbuster with flashbangs, grenades and guns, and do not counter. So you've got some free time? pops when the chapter ends, provided you never countered.
▶Lady Deadpool-like
This is a story achievement for finishing Landed in Prison.
▶Chapter 6: Death, Baby
▶The Three Statues
After the minecart and the Cable fight, Death offers you three statues. You take each one through its own section, then bring it back. You will do all three, but the order matters for ARRR-Rated.
- Green: Hear No Evil, the Tombs
- Purple: See No Evil, the Deadpoolio test machines
- Orange (it can look yellow): Speak No Evil, the Carnival
▶ARRR-Rated
ARRR-Rated10G
The hat you end up wearing depends on which statue you return last. Do Speak No Evil (the orange statue, which leads to the Carnival) last, and you get the pirate hat. Then finish the chapter in it. Do the other two in either order first.
▶Hear No Evil: The Tombs
▶Diggin' in the crates
The green statue's path starts with a series of combat rooms. The DP chests and nooks in those rooms are optional and do not count, so grab them before you move on, since you may not be able to come back. Once the last wave is dead, Death appears and leads you into a dark corridor. That is where the 11 chests are.
How the dark works:
- Death's light protects and heals you. The dark hurts you steadily, but you can survive a short dash.
- Each chest has a red outline in the dark.
- Dash out for one or two chests at a time, teleport back into the light, heal, and repeat. Do not hang around in the dark.
- Death moves at her own pace, so grab chests as she passes them.
The achievement is reported to show a progress counter as you open each chest, but do not rely on seeing it. Keep your own tally as well: you should have 5 chests before the wallman ambush and 6 after it. The achievement pops as soon as you open the 11th chest.
Before the wallman (5 chests). Run slightly ahead of Death at the start.
- On the right, just as Death tells you to stay in her light.
- In the group ahead and to the left: the semi-hidden one, found by going right past the obvious chest.
- The obvious right-hand chest of that group. Turn back for it straight after chest 2.
- Off to the left, before you follow Death onward.
- Along Death's path after the group.
Checkpoint tally: you should have 5. Next a wallman ambushes you. Kill it quickly, and Death speeds up afterward.
After the wallman (6 chests).
- At the top of the first staircase.
- At the top of the next staircase.
- Just through the next doorway, immediately on your right.
- Just through that doorway, on your left.
- Further on, far left.
- At the end of the corridor, beside the spot where Death stops.
If you are short, look up as well as around, since one chest may sit overhead. Use your tally against the numbered list to work out which group you missed.
Do not step forward from Death's stopping point until the achievement pops, because that drops you into the side-scrolling section with no way back. If you are short and cannot find the last chest, restart from the last checkpoint. It is untested whether chests you opened before a reload still count, so plan to get all 11 in one pass and assume you may have to open them again. If you leave the Tombs short, replay Death, Baby from chapter select. That replay can double as an ARRR-Rated run if you still return the orange statue last.
HISTORICALLY REPORTED BUG: a chest sometimes refuses to open, usually one that needs a teleport to reach or sits overhead. None of these fixes is confirmed, but they cost nothing to try near the edge of Death's light:
- throw a grenade at the same moment you press open
- jump straight up and press open as you land
- hold the open button for about a second
- tap forward while pressing open
▶See No Evil
There are no achievements here. Finish the section and bring the statue back.
▶Speak No Evil: The Carnival
Do this section last for ARRR-Rated.
▶Patience is not a virtue
When you reach the ticket line, pick the patience option every single time and never cut. The impatient options start fights and forfeit it. Keep going until you reach the front.
▶Officially a Carny
Beating the high score in any one of the three Carnival shooting games counts. The score is shown in the top-right corner, and the first game is the easiest to aim for. Shoot tickets, clowns and targets nonstop, and do not shoot the women, since hitting them costs you points. If you miss it, finish the chapter anyway for the other achievements and replay it later.
▶Chapter End
Make sure you are wearing the pirate hat, then finish the chapter. ARRR-Rated pops alongside the story achievement.
▶Poulos-Vision
This is a story achievement for finishing Death, Baby.
▶Chapter 7: The Road to Victory
▶Subway Bathroom
▶Spawn more Deadpool-lords
Early in the chapter, in the subway and rubble stealth area, there is a small bathroom on the left. Pick up every DP coin (there are three) and every bit of ammo inside. Ammo will not pick up when you are full, so shoot your pistols on the nearby enemies until you have room first, then grab it all.
▶Be like Joe
Be like Joe50G
You need a 300-hit combo, and you have to bank it. Banking means the combo ends without you taking a hit, either by killing everything or by letting it time out. This bathroom is the best spot in the game:
- Stealth-kill the first two guards.
- Lure the big chaingun brute into the bathroom while the shield enemy is still inside. The brute gets stuck and cannot shoot you.
- Kill everything else, then get out of the bathroom and use the pillars for cover.
- Only now start the combo. Keep hitting the stuck brute and the shield enemy with upgraded shotguns and uzis, and avoid headshots so the brute does not die early.
- Once the counter passes 300, finish them off without taking a hit.
Upgraded weapons and the Absorb Damage upgrade, which soaks the first combo-breaking hit, make this much easier. If the first run is too hard, come back during the Ultra-Violence! run. Higher enemy health on that difficulty makes the combo easier to stretch out.
▶Bridge Offices
▶PC LOAD LEAD-ER
After the objective "A gaggle of chumps. Let's waste 'em." appears, you reach the offices. The area can be done with stealth, so the fight is optional. Go to the very back of the office building and shoot the copier in the last cubicle against the wall until the achievement pops.
▶The Breach
▶I can open doors!
During the slow-motion Breach you only have your pistols and grenades. Within 10 seconds of the slow motion starting, kill everyone in the room and the shielded squad that bursts in. Upgraded pistols help.
- Shoot the first soldier in the head.
- Throw a grenade to the back of the room.
- Shoot the group by the table on the left.
- Throw one or two grenades at the shield squad as they come in, and finish them as slow motion ends.
If you fail, restarting from the last checkpoint is fine for this one.
▶Chapter End
▶JR’s Big Adventure
This is a story achievement for finishing The Road to Victory.
▶Chapter 8: Front Gates of EEEEEEEVIL!
▶First Run: No Deaths, Swords and Pistols
Do this first run on Genetically Superior with no upgrades needed. It covers Let's-a-Go!, I am Deadpool and Suck it, Wolverine!, and A Sinister smush pops at the end. The stairs combo and death achievements need a different loadout and deliberate deaths, so they come on a later replay.
Before you start, turn off automatic weapon switching in the control settings. Otherwise the game can swap you to another weapon when your pistols run dry, which would break I am Deadpool. There are ammo refills near the arena's front doors.
If you die, or use a weapon you should not have, use Restart Chapter. Never use Restart Checkpoint during this run.
▶I am Deadpool
Play the whole chapter, final bosses included, using only the DT 19815 pistols and the Beauroyre Blades. Dying is allowed for this one.
- Do not use the Hammers, any other weapon or any of their momentum attacks.
- Do not pick up enemy weapons such as a brute's chaingun.
- Grenades, bear traps and mines are reported not to count against it, but you do not need them, so leave them alone.
▶Suck it, Wolverine!
Play the whole chapter without dying, including the final fights against Arclight, Blockbuster and Vertigo and then the Sinister clones. A fall counts as a death. Restart Chapter is the safe fix after a death. Quitting and choosing Continue may also work, but that is disputed, so do not count on it.
▶Let's-a-Go!
Let's-a-Go!10G
The chapter opens on floating debris. Cross the whole floating crossing without falling, all the way to the large landmass where the fight up the stairs begins. Do not relax at the first solid ground you reach. The achievement popping is your only confirmation, and if you are fighting up the stairs with no pop, it has failed for this run.
Falling fails it, and so does the rescue teleport you use mid-fall. The normal teleport icons onto landmasses are part of the route. Take each jump slowly.
If you fall early in the crossing, quitting and choosing Continue puts you back at the chapter start. Otherwise use Restart Chapter. Restart Checkpoint does not recover it.
▶A Sinister smush
This unlocks at the end of the chapter, together with Suck it, Wolverine! and I am Deadpool. Do not quit before the credits start. After it, you have beaten the game, every challenge map is open, and so is chapter select for every chapter.
▶Chapter Select Replay: Stairs Combo and Deaths
Replay Front Gates of EEEEEEEVIL! with chapter select on Veteran. You do not need upgrades for this. The two achievements here take place on the enemy-filled floating stairs, from when the objective "Bath Time. Blood Bath." appears until you reach the citadel. That objective comes with an autosave.
▶It's a trap!
It's a trap!10G
Score a combo of 75 or more on the floating stairs.
- Once the Bath Time autosave happens, restart the checkpoint straight away. You restart further along with more shooters waiting, which gives you more to hit.
- Use the Sais. Their small, fast hits rack up the count, and un-upgraded Sais give you even more hits per enemy. The SMG and shotgun are good backups.
- One platform does not have enough enemies, so clear it, start shooting the enemies on the next platform, and jump or teleport over. The combo carries across.
- Shooters on other platforms will try to hit you, and blocking enemies can break the combo, so switch targets quickly. Taking a hit before the combo starts does not matter.
- After you pass 75, stop taking risks and let the combo end on a safe platform before the citadel, in case it needs to be banked.
HISTORICALLY REPORTED BUG: it has sometimes failed to pop at 75. If that happens, reload the Bath Time checkpoint and go again.
▶You've been Cole-slaw-tered!
Die 10 times in a row on the floating stairs, without moving forward between deaths. Nothing on screen counts them, so keep your own tally.
- Fastest route: make sure the Bath Time objective has appeared. Then jump to the final floating island, wait for the autosave there, and step off the edge. Falling respawns you at the autosave. Repeat until you have fallen 10 times. Falls should count. If the achievement has not appeared after 10 falls, let the enemies kill you instead.
- Do not walk forward into the citadel between deaths.
- If it has not popped by around the 12th death, check you are still before the citadel and keep going to about 15.
Ordinary deaths while you play do not add up to this, so the Ultra-Violence! run will not get it for you by accident.
▶Post-Story: DP Grind and Upgrades
▶Maxing Everything
Your upgrades and DP carry over to every difficulty and to chapter select. Finish the grind now, before Ultra-Violence!.
Weapon upgrades need two things: enough DP, and a minimum number of kills with that weapon. A kill only counts for the weapon that lands the final blow, and some upgrades stay locked until you have 50 to 60 kills with it. That means you can have plenty of DP and still find locked upgrades on weapons you rarely use.
The fastest DP farm is in Death, Baby:
- Use chapter select to load Death, Baby, and take the green Hear No Evil statue.
- Fight through the combat rooms until you reach the corridor with the wave of exploding clones.
- Kill the clones and collect the DP tokens they drop.
- Buy any available upgrade. Buying triggers a checkpoint save that keeps the purchase and your remaining DP balance, so you can let DP build up for the expensive upgrades. DP earned after the last save is lost if you restart without buying something first.
- Pause and choose Restart From Last Checkpoint to repeat the wave.
With a well-upgraded setup and clean runs, each cycle is reported to give around 200,000 to 240,000 DP. Expect less early on. Buy the Greedy upgrades before anything else. Leave the Pulse Rifle's Tricked Out charge-shot upgrade until the grind is finished, because it changes how the rifle fires, then buy it for Drunk on power.
Rotate weapons while you farm. Use each of the seven weapons for the final blows in turn, then check the upgrade menu. Any upgrade still locked needs more kills with that weapon, so equip it and keep farming the same wave, or replay a combat-heavy chapter, until it opens. Weapon kills are kept through checkpoint restarts, separately from DP, so restarting never costs you kill progress.
Roughly speaking, the 20 Player Upgrades cost about 1.6 million DP in total, and unlocking and maxing every weapon costs around 4.8 million. With the grenade and trap unlocks, the whole shopping list comes to roughly 6.5 million.
▶Unbalanced
Unbalanced30G
Buy every Player Upgrade. It pops when you buy the last one.
▶Drunk on power
Upgrade all seven weapons to their maximum: the Blades, the DT 19815 pistols, the Sais, the Hammers, the Pulse Rifle, the Shotguns and the Nuthals 220S. Each weapon has to be bought before its upgrades appear, and its upgrades also need enough kills with that weapon (see Maxing Everything). Use the upgrade menu to see what is still locked. Grenades and traps have no upgrade trees, so they are not part of this.
▶Ultra-Violence! Run
▶Chapter-by-Chapter Clear
Go to chapter select, set the difficulty to Ultra-Violence! and clear all eight chapters.
- Required: every chapter must be completed on Ultra-Violence!. Clearing only the last chapter on that difficulty does not work.
- You do not have to do it in one sitting, and replaying chapters through chapter select counts.
- Safest route: play the chapters back to back in order from Home Sweet Home. If the achievement does not pop after Front Gates of EEEEEEEVIL!, replay any chapter you are not sure you cleared on Ultra-Violence!. The usual culprit is Home Sweet Home, so replay that first. As a last resort, play one continuous New Game on Ultra-Violence!.
Tick each chapter off as you clear it on Ultra-Violence!:
- Home Sweet Home
- Job One
- Taking a Chance
- Genosha
- Landed in Prison
- Death, Baby
- The Road to Victory
- Front Gates of EEEEEEEVIL!
With everything maxed, the fights are mostly about range. Use the shotguns and the Pulse Rifle, teleport out of trouble, and lean on checkpoints. If Be like Joe is still outstanding, try it in The Road to Victory on this run.
▶Know DP? Know madness
This unlocks once all eight chapters are cleared on Ultra-Violence!.
▶No DP? No madness
The Ultra-Violence! clear also unlocks this, since the difficulty achievements stack. If you would rather play Veteran instead, clearing all eight chapters on Veteran works too.
▶Challenge Maps
▶Unlocking and Picking Maps
Each challenge map opens when you finish the chapter it comes from, so all of them are open once you beat the game. Each map has Bronze, Silver and Gold tiers, and each tier opens the next. Every tier is three timed waves.
There are seven base maps:
- Great White News HQ (after Job One)
- Beneath the Streets (after Taking a Chance)
- The Watching Sentinel (after Genosha)
- Magneto's Prison (after Landed in Prison)
- Catacombs of Genosha (after Death, Baby)
- Office Spaces (after The Road to Victory)
- Citadel Courtyard (after Front Gates of EEEEEEEVIL!)
GRT Plaza and Inside the Tower come only with the pre-order DLC. Deadpool's Carnivale is an Infinite-only map with no Gold tier, so it does not count. You need just five Golds, so skip Beneath the Streets, which is the hardest. Catacombs of Genosha and Great White News HQ are the easiest.
▶Gold rush
Gold rush30G
Earn Gold on five different challenge maps.
HISTORICALLY REPORTED BUG: one historical report, on another platform and not confirmed on Xbox 360, had this fail to pop after five Golds. If it does not unlock, earn Gold on a sixth map.
▶Shields up
Shields up30G
Clear a Silver or Gold challenge while countering at least 25 times. The counters add up across all three waves of a single attempt. Make a point of countering on every Gold rush attempt and this usually comes on its own.
▶Cole'd Blooded
On any Gold challenge, keep your combo going through an entire wave. Catacombs of Genosha is the easiest map for it. On Great White News HQ, hold the starting corner and keep shooting.
▶Final Check
If anything is still missing, find its type below and go back to that section:
- Chapter challenges: replay the chapter with chapter select. Every one can be done again there.
- Pull the grenade, throw the pin and Taco Savior: these count up during play, so finish them in any chapter.
- Be like Joe: this needs one uninterrupted 300-hit combo, banked without taking a hit. Use the bathroom method in The Road to Victory, ideally on the Ultra-Violence! run.
- Unbalanced and Drunk on power: see Maxing Everything, including the weapon kill requirements.
- Know DP? Know madness and No DP? No madness: use the Ultra-Violence! chapter checklist.
- Gold rush, Shields up and Cole'd Blooded: see Challenge Maps.
- Only when he stops breathing: set Dialog Volume to zero.
