▶Before You Start
Donut County on Xbox has 20 achievements worth 1,000 Gamerscore. There is no DLC, no online play, and no difficulty setting. One playthrough is enough.
- Missables: none permanently. After the credits, every level can be replayed from the main menu's level select, so anything you miss can be picked up afterwards. Most achievements are tied to one specific level, so doing them on the first pass saves replays.
- Unobtainable or discontinued: none known as of October 2026.
- Platform: Xbox achievements work on Xbox consoles and through Xbox Cloud Gaming. The native PC edition does not support Xbox Live and does not award Xbox achievements (as of October 2026).
- Hardest achievements: Secret Soup (an exact soup recipe under pressure), Flawless (a no-damage boss fight), and Bandit (a button code entered with a wobbly grabber).
- Nerd needs one extra step: after the story, you must open the Trashopedia and page through it to the last entry.
▶How This Route Works
The guide follows the story level by level and places each achievement in the level where it happens. Story achievements simply unlock as you play.
Two achievements are deliberately left for a quick cleanup after the credits:
- Music Lover asks you to finish Gecko Park without swallowing the radio, which leaves the radio out of your Trashopedia. Swallow the radio on your first pass, then replay Gecko Park for Music Lover after the credits.
- Nerd only unlocks after the story is finished, so it is the very last thing you do.
▶The Surface
▶Mira's House
The opening is a texting scene on Mira's phone, with no hole to control yet.
▶Quack Enthusiast
The achievement unlocks when you have sent 100 quacks with the quack (duck) button across the game's texting scenes. Only quacks that actually send count, not presses the game ignores.
You can start now, but early on presses are throttled: only a handful of quacks, roughly ten, send before you have to wait for a reply. Quack whenever you're in a texting scene and keep a rough count of sent quacks. It gets much faster later, so don't try to finish it here.
- Chicken Barn onward: in the scenes where you text Mira as BK, quacking is much faster. Keep pressing until you reach 100. An occasional reply may still interrupt you, so carry on after it.
- Raccoon HQ: the scene where BK texts the Trash King also lets you quack freely before you send a real message, if you still need more.
The popup can be delayed. If you know you've passed 100 and nothing appeared, play the next level before quacking more.
▶Potter's Rock
▶Pup's Odyssey
The achievement unlocks when you release the hot air balloon. Grow the hole as the level asks, then move it under the balloon to free it. This is part of the normal level.
▶Ranger Station to Hopper Springs
Ranger Station, Riverbed, Campground, and Hopper Springs have no achievements. Swallow everything in each level as normal. Nearly every item gets logged in the Trashopedia just by finishing the level.
▶Joshua Tree
▶Pyro
Pyro15G
The achievement unlocks when you set Pepper's trailer on fire.
- Swallow rocks and other objects until the hole is big enough to swallow the campfire.
- The crow at the grill drops a piece of coal. Swallow it, and the hole bursts into flames for a few seconds.
- Go straight to Pepper's trailer and move the flaming hole under it before the fire fades.
If the flames run out first, get more fire and try again, or restart the level from the pause menu.
▶Beach Lot C
No achievements here. Clear it as normal.
▶Gecko Park
Play this level normally on your first pass, and swallow the radio. Music Lover is easier and safer on a replay after the credits.
▶Music Lover
Music Lover90G
Music Lover is covered in the cleanup section after the credits. Finishing Gecko Park without the radio means it won't be logged in the Trashopedia. Swallowing it now keeps the Trashopedia complete for Nerd.
▶Chicken Barn
Two achievements are here. This is also where texting as BK first allows rapid repeated quacks, so finish Quack Enthusiast now if you haven't.
▶Gamer
Gamer30G
The achievement unlocks when you buy the energy drinks in the shop.
When Mira has BK buy the catapult, buy the energy drinks too. You have enough money for both.
▶Egg Breaker
Egg Breaker30G
The achievement unlocks when 36 eggs have broken.
- After you get the rooster up to the second floor, an egg machine appears.
- Catch an egg and use the catapult to fire it at the switch on the barn window by Jellybean.
- The pipe starts firing eggs rapidly. Don't catch them. Let them break. The achievement unlocks about halfway through the barrage.
▶Honey Nut Forest
No achievements here. Clear it as normal.
▶Cat Soup
▶Secret Soup
Secret Soup95G
The achievement unlocks when you feed the bird the red soup made from the secret recipe.
Recipe: 2 shakes of salt and 3 shakes of pepper. The recipe also appears as a Trashopedia entry.
- Get the ring so the pot fills with water, then get the water from the pot into the hole.
- As the platform turns, pass under the salt and pepper shakers to add shakes to the soup. Each shake needs its own separate pass: move under a shaker, then away, then back. Staying under one shaker may count as only one shake however long you wait.
- Each shake you add spawns a roach that tries to reach the soup. Keep every roach away from the soup. If one touches it, the soup spoils. Feed the spoiled soup to the bird and start again.
- With exactly the right amounts, the soup turns red. Too much of either turns it back to gold.
- Stay away from the bird while the soup is still gold, because feeding it gold soup ends the level.
- Feed the red soup to the bird. It cries, and the achievement unlocks.
If it goes wrong, restart the level from the pause menu rather than finishing it, so you get a clean try.
▶Donut Shop
▶Donut County
Donut County15G
The achievement unlocks when you finish the Donut Shop level.
▶Abandoned House
No achievements here. Clear it as normal.
▶Raccoon Lagoon
▶The Flume Is Doomed
The achievement unlocks when you finish the Raccoon Lagoon level.
▶The 405
No achievements here. It is the last surface level. A short level with no puzzles, Above Donut County, follows before Raccoon HQ.
▶Underground
▶Raccoon HQ
▶Hacker
Hacker15G
The achievement unlocks when you hack into the mainframe outside Raccoon HQ. When Possum offers to help, swallow the hacking device (a USB stick) and catapult it up at the security camera. This is part of the story.
▶Biology Lab
Bandit starts here and finishes when you return to Raccoon HQ.
▶Bandit
Bandit90G
The achievement unlocks when you enter the vault at Raccoon HQ.
Part 1, the code. In the Biology Lab you control a magnetic grabber. Enter this sequence on its buttons: Up, Left, Down, Left, Grab.
- You don't need to move the grabber to each position. Just press the buttons in that order.
- Press carefully, once per button, rather than rushing.
- The grabber's tail wobbles and can press a button twice. Pull back on the stick right after each press to stop that.
- If you hit a wrong button, press Grab to reset and start the sequence again.
- If the tail keeps double-pressing, lower controller sensitivity if that option is available and try again.
- A cutscene of the vault opening confirms the code worked. If you don't see it, the code didn't register, so enter it again before leaving the lab.
- The code is also recorded in the Trashopedia as the note entry, from a crumpled note dropped in Raccoon HQ.
Part 2, the vault. Back at Raccoon HQ, go through the lobby and the security room and into the vault, which is now open. The achievement unlocks as you enter. Do this before you go into the Trash King's room.
▶Anthropology Lab
▶Disrespecter
Disrespecter30G
The achievement unlocks when you destroy the Trash King's large monitor.
Get the fire, then the fireworks in the next scene. Move the fireworks under the big monitor on the left side of the room and let them go off.
▶Trash King's Office
No achievements here. Continue to the boss fight.
▶Boss Fight
Boss Fight35G
Four achievements come from this fight. Lose on purpose first for Game Over. Then do one winning attempt that covers Flawless, Boss Fight and Dethroner together.
If retrying after the loss doesn't start a fresh fight, restart the level from the pause menu before your winning attempt.
Mira's hot air balloon is what takes damage. It is hit when the quadcopter finishes its charged attack. Bombs and the cement cannon do not hurt it directly, but cement seals the hole until a bomb goes off over it. While the hole is sealed you can't catapult bombs, so the quadcopter can finish its attack.
▶Game Over
Game Over20G
The achievement unlocks when you lose the fight.
Do nothing and let the quadcopter's attacks hit the balloon. It takes about six hits. This must be a separate attempt from Flawless. It can also be done later by replaying Boss Fight from level select.
▶Flawless
Flawless95G
The achievement unlocks when you destroy the quadcopter (with the sixth bomb in phase 2) without the balloon taking a hit.
Phase 1: keep moving in circles around the arena to dodge the targeting beam and the cement, and keep cement out of the hole. Catch a small bomb, get under the quadcopter, and catapult the bomb up into it. Land all three hits before any charged attack connects. If the quadcopter starts charging, hit it with a bomb to cancel the attack.
Phase 2: swallow BK quickly and catapult him onto the quadcopter to start a hack. Then catapult the six small bombs up one at a time. The sixth destroys the quadcopter and unlocks Flawless.
A controller makes the movement easier. If you get hit, restart the level from the pause menu and try again.
▶Boss Fight
Boss Fight35G
The achievement unlocks when you win the fight. It pops when the tornado destroys the mansion at the end of the sequence.
▶Dethroner
Dethroner90G
The achievement unlocks when you destroy the Trash King's monument.
After the quadcopter is destroyed, you control a tornado. The camera pans to the left, so aim straight at the Trash King statue before it moves past. Hold the tornado on the statue for a few seconds until it breaks. It looks indestructible, but it isn't.
▶Catapult
▶Redeemed
Redeemed15G
The achievement unlocks when you finish the Catapult level and everyone is flung back to the surface.
▶Aftermath
The credits are playable. You fly BK's drone over Donut County.
▶Pilot
Pilot30G
The achievement unlocks when you fly the drone through the hole in the donut on the Donut Shop sign. The shop is right in front of you at the start.
▶Escape
Escape95G
The achievement unlocks when you reach the deck of the Trash King's getaway vehicle.
Turn around and look for an anchor floating on a chain. Follow the chain straight up above the clouds and fly onto the vehicle's deck. If it hasn't unlocked yet, fly right up to the Trash King.
If you miss Pilot or Escape before the credits end, replay Aftermath from level select.
▶Post-Credits Cleanup
▶Level Select
Every level is now available under Levels on the main menu. Replay anything you missed, such as Pyro (Joshua Tree), Gamer or Egg Breaker (Chicken Barn), Secret Soup (Cat Soup), or the Boss Fight achievements.
For Bandit, start from Raccoon HQ rather than Biology Lab, and play through the lab and back to the vault. The vault is entered back in Raccoon HQ after the lab.
▶Music Lover
Music Lover90G
The achievement unlocks when you finish Gecko Park without the radio ever falling into the hole.
- Replay Gecko Park from level select.
- The radio sits on a plastic crate. Leave both alone and clear the rest of Gecko Park first, including the house and the plants.
- With the crate and radio the last objects left, move under the crate in one quick motion to separate it from the radio. Swallow the crate, and never let the radio fall in.
- When the radio is the only thing left, wait a moment and the level finishes with the achievement.
Because you swallowed the radio on your first run, it is already in your Trashopedia.
▶The Trashopedia
▶Nerd
Nerd90G
The achievement unlocks when you page through the Trashopedia to the last entry after finishing the game.
It isn't confirmed whether every item has to be swallowed or whether finishing the story fills the entries for you. This route covers both, because you swallow everything as you play and log the radio on your first run.
- Open the Trashopedia from the main menu. The game also offers to show it right after the credits.
- Go through it from the first entry to the last one, the Key to Donut County. It may pop on the last entry or when you back out, so exit the Trashopedia if nothing appears.
- If it still hasn't unlocked, look for greyed-out entries. Each missing item shows the level it comes from above its name. Replay that level, swallow the item, and page through to the last entry again.
