▶Before You Start
Dordogne has 31 achievements worth 1,000 Gamerscore. Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and Windows share one list. There is no DLC, no online play and no co-op, and as of 2026-10-01 no achievements are unobtainable. Like a Swiss clock is CURRENTLY COMMUNITY-FLAGGED / BUGGY because Chapter Selection resets its progress, so it needs planning.
Here's the short version:
- Playthroughs: One, plus a few chapter replays from Chapter Selection if you miss a collectible.
- Difficulty: There are no difficulty settings or difficulty achievements.
- Chapter Selection: An August 2023 update, the game's final update, added it. It lets you replay chapters and shows, for each chapter, which collectibles you've found and which are still missing. Most mistakes can be fixed by replaying a chapter, but only after Like a Swiss clock has unlocked.
- The one achievement to plan for: Like a Swiss clock. You need to use the upstairs toilet as young Mimi in every chapter from 1 to 7, in a single continuous run. The developer has confirmed that starting any chapter from Chapter Selection resets this achievement's progress, and no fix is coming. Chapter Selection is available from after Chapter 1, so don't select or start a chapter through it during your first run.
- Precision moments: Pouring milk, pouring tea, copying Renaud and doing CPR all have to be done with no mistakes. If you make a mistake, quit to the main menu straight away and pick Continue. If that doesn't put you back before the scene, finish the story and replay the chapter from Chapter Selection after Like a Swiss clock has unlocked.
- Order of play: Finish the whole story first without starting any chapter from Chapter Selection. Clean up missing collectibles afterward. Starting a New Game erases your save, so never start one until all cleanup is finished.
▶How This Route Works
The game alternates between adult Mimi in the present and young Mimi in her childhood memories. Tapes, stickers, words and recorded sounds are found almost entirely in the memory sections. Letters are different: every letter in Chapters 1 to 7 is found as adult Mimi in the present-day part of the chapter, before you trigger that chapter's memory, and the last letter comes in Chapter 8. Photos and binder pages are counters for their own achievements, and the binder is also where young Mimi's scrapbook pages get made.
There are 17 letters, 11 collectible tapes, 33 words and 15 recordable sounds, and the guide routes 29 sticker pickups and rewards (the story also grants some stickers automatically). Each collectible only exists during its own chapter's window, so collect it when the route says. The Collectibles section at the end lists every one with its location.
Pick up anything that sparkles or that you can interact with. Walk to the left and right edges of every screen before moving to the next one, because a lot of collectibles sit just off the obvious path. After each pickup, check that the on-screen pickup confirmation appears. Don't worry if you miss a few. After the story, Chapter Selection shows which collectibles each chapter is still missing, and you can replay chapters for them once Like a Swiss clock has unlocked.
▶Running Achievement: Daily Toilet Visits
▶Like a Swiss clock
Required: Use the upstairs toilet in Grandma Nora's house as young Mimi once in every chapter that has a childhood memory, which means Chapters 1 through 7. Do it all in one continuous playthrough. The achievement unlocks at the Chapter 7 visit. Chapter 8 isn't needed.
The toilet that counts is in the bathroom at the far right of the upper floor. Its door is to the right of the mirror, and it's next to Nora's room. The downstairs bathroom doesn't count, and adult Mimi visits aren't needed. Interact with the toilet at its prompt; the sink isn't part of the visit.
Make each visit as soon as young Mimi can reach the upstairs bathroom, before any story action that takes her outside. Each chapter section below tells you when. Three chapters need care:
- Chapter 2: Visit before breakfast. Breakfast sends Mimi outside.
- Chapter 4: The memory gives you control in the garden, so you have to walk back into the house deliberately before the cave.
- Chapter 6: The memory starts in the kitchen. Go upstairs before you talk to Nora, because talking to her starts the cooking and you end up outside with no way back.
As of 2026-10-01 this is CURRENTLY COMMUNITY-FLAGGED / BUGGY: the developer confirmed that the tracker resets whenever you start a chapter from Chapter Selection, and no fix will be released. Don't select or start any chapter through Chapter Selection until this achievement has unlocked. Several players lost it by using Chapter Selection to grab a missed collectible mid-run. Quitting to the main menu and picking Continue isn't a reported reset trigger, so precision retries are fine. The game shows no progress for this achievement, so there's no way to check it mid-run.
▶Chapter 1
▶Arriving at Nora's House
▶Collectibles · 3 3 collectibles
Letter to Fabrice — Chapter 1, opening car scene — on the front seat to the right of the bag, after the phone messages; can't be reached once you leave the car.
Nora's arrival letter — Chapter 1, arrival — read automatically by Mimi before she reaches the house.
Mayor's condolence letter — Chapter 1, arrival — in the letterbox on the gate, with the house key; make sure the letter registers as well as the key.
Answer the phone messages in the car. Before you get out, pick up the letter addressed to Fabrice on the front seat, to the right of the bag at the lower right of the screen. You can't go back to the car once you leave it.
On the way to the house, Mimi reads a letter from Nora automatically. At the gate, interact with the letterbox on the fence until you've both read the mayor's condolence letter and taken the house key. The prompts guide you, but make sure the letter registers as well as the key. That's all 3 Chapter 1 letters.
Go into the house. Don't head for the candle yet.
▶Black is a happy color
Required: The first time you enter the house, walk into both the kitchen and the living room before you pick up the candle. The achievement unlocks once you've been in both rooms without it. Then go back and pick up the candle.
▶The First Memory
Look at the fountain pen on the entry hall table and read the note inside its cap. This is a story step, and it starts the first childhood memory. The note isn't one of the counted letters.
▶Young Mimi's First Memory
▶Collectibles · 6 6 collectibles
Cave steps sticker — Chapter 1 — first outdoor screen, lower left, on the steps to the cave (the garden beds).
Path to the house sticker — Chapter 1 — same outdoor area, left of the path on the way to the house.
Pond sticker — Chapter 1 — right side of the pond with the cat statues, lower right of the screen.
Staircase floor sticker — Chapter 1 — ground-floor hallway, on the floor right of or under the staircase.
Hallway table sticker — Chapter 1 — the hallway table with the mirror, where the candle was.
Living room coffee table sticker (Chapter 1) — Chapter 1 — on the coffee table between the sofa and the TV.
This memory runs from the steps by the cave, along the path and pond, and into the house. It has 6 stickers:
- On the first outdoor screen, at the lower left on the steps leading to the cave (some guides call this spot the garden beds).
- On the same screen, left of the path on the way to the house.
- Through the gate to the right, on the right side of the pond with the cat statues, at the lower right of the screen.
- Inside, on the ground-floor hallway floor to the right of or under the staircase. Don't go up the stairs yet.
- On the hallway table with the mirror, where the candle was.
- Left into the living room, on the coffee table between the sofa and the TV.
Collect all six before you go upstairs, and before you trigger the kitchen and living room conversation that leads to the easel.
Daily toilet visit 1 of 7: Young Mimi goes upstairs to her room to unpack her suitcase. Use the toilet while she's upstairs, before you go back down to the kitchen, living room and easel.
▶Loving family
At the drawing easel in the living room, draw Mum and Dad holding hands. The achievement unlocks when you finish that drawing.
▶The Binder
The Binder15G
Nora gives you the green binder after the drawing scene. This is a story unlock and ends the chapter.
▶Chapter 2
▶Present Day
▶Collectibles · 3 3 collectibles
Bathroom book box letter — Chapter 2, present day — ground-floor bathroom, box of books under the washbasin; behind the last book.
Bedroom dresser letter (first) — Chapter 2, present day — dresser right of the window in Mimi's bedroom; take before the compact camera.
Bedroom dresser letter (second) — Chapter 2, present day — the second letter from the same dresser; keep interacting until only the camera is left.
Before you trigger the camera memory, search the house as adult Mimi. Adult Mimi doesn't get back into the house later in this chapter.
- Go to the ground-floor bathroom by walking toward the camera on the staircase screen. The box of books is to the left of the toilet, under the washbasin. Go through every book in the box; a letter is behind the last one.
- Go up to Mimi's bedroom. Open the window, then keep interacting with the dresser to the right of the window. It holds two letters, a tape and the compact camera. This tape isn't one of the 11 collectible tapes for The archivist, so taking it is optional.
Take the camera last. Picking it up starts the memory. You should now have 6 letters.
▶Young Mimi: The House Before Breakfast
▶Collectibles · 8 8 collectibles
Sunbeam — Chapter 2 — upper floor, at the top of the staircase; before breakfast.
Upstairs mirror sticker — Chapter 2, memory — interact with the mirror on the dressing table, right past the staircase; collect it on the house search before breakfast.
Black bathtub sticker — Chapter 2, memory — on the side of the black bathtub in the upstairs bathroom; collect it on the house search before breakfast.
Silence — Chapter 2 — keep interacting with the books under the ground-floor bathroom washbasin until it appears; before breakfast.
Bathroom book box tape — Chapter 2, memory — beside the box of books under the ground-floor bathroom washbasin, left of where Silence appears; before breakfast.
Living room coffee table sticker (Chapter 2) — Chapter 2, memory — on the living room coffee table; collect it on the house search before breakfast.
Warmth — Chapter 2 — table with the white tablecloth at the back of the living room; before breakfast.
Dining table tape — Chapter 2, memory — right side of the kitchen dining table; before breakfast.
Young Mimi wakes in her bedroom. Do everything in this section before you sit on the stool at the dining table. Sitting down starts breakfast, and afterward you find yourself outside the house. No source confirms you can get back in, so treat breakfast as the end of the house search.
Daily toilet visit 2 of 7: Use the upstairs toilet straight away. The bathroom is the door to the right of the mirror, with the black bathtub.
Upstairs:
- Sunbeam (word): At the top of the staircase as you approach it.
- Sticker: Go right past the staircase and interact with the mirror on the dressing table.
- Sticker: On the side of the black bathtub in the upstairs bathroom.
Downstairs:
- Silence (word): In the ground-floor bathroom, examine the box of books under the washbasin and keep interacting with the books until the word appears.
- Tape: Beside the same box of books, on the same screen. Look to the left for a yellow tape.
- Sticker: On the living room coffee table.
- Warmth (word): At the back of the living room, on the table with the white tablecloth past the coffee table.
- Tape: On the right side of the kitchen dining table.
▶Breakfast
▶Rule #1 Milk first
Required: Fill the bowl with milk without spilling or wasting any. Pour slowly and stop as soon as the bowl is full. One source recommends picking the word bitter when you choose words for the drink. These breakfast word choices don't count toward Dictionary is not an option.
If you spill, quit to the main menu straight away and pick Continue. If that doesn't put you back before the scene, finish the story and replay Chapter 2 from Chapter Selection after Like a Swiss clock has unlocked.
▶Garden Steps and Riverbanks
▶Collectibles · 2 2 collectibles
Lavender — Chapter 2 — garden steps and flowerbeds in front of the house, left of the screen; after breakfast.
Riverbank sticker — Chapter 2 — a little right of where you enter the riverbanks; before talking to Nora.
After breakfast you're outside. Pick up the word Lavender on the steps up to the garden, by the flowerbeds in front of the house on the left of the screen, before you go down to the river. That's all 4 Chapter 2 words.
At the riverbanks, collect the sticker a little to the right of where you enter, then talk to Nora.
▶The Camera
The Camera15G
Nora gives you the camera at the riverbanks. This is a story unlock.
▶Cheese
Cheese15G
You can do all three photo achievements during this photo session. The camera only holds 10 photos at a time. Once it's full, delete a photo to make room and keep taking more. Every photo you take counts toward the total, even ones you delete afterward. Cheese unlocks at your 10th photo.
▶Ouistiti
Ouistiti30G
Keep going. Delete one, take one, and repeat until your 20th photo.
▶Sarah Moon
Sarah Moon90G
Keep repeating until your 50th photo. Taking photos quickly is fine, because the shots don't have to be good. If any photo achievement hasn't unlocked yet, keep taking photos in later chapters, since you'll have the camera again.
After the photos, make the chapter's binder page and go back to the present day.
▶Chapter 3
▶Adult Mimi at the Pond
▶Psst psst psst...
▶Collectibles · 2 2 collectibles
Fridge letter — Chapter 3, present day — on the kitchen fridge door.
Cave workbench letter — Chapter 3, present day — hanging above the workbench in the garden cave once it's open; before the kayak handprints.
Required: Interact with the cat at the pond five times before you get its food. After a couple of tries Mimi suggests doing something else, but keep interacting anyway. The achievement unlocks on the fifth interaction.
After that, carry on with the story and pick up the two Chapter 3 letters as adult Mimi. Read the letter on the kitchen fridge door. Once you have the key from the cat and the garden cave is open, read the letter hanging above the workbench, lit by a bulb. Get both before you touch the handprints on the kayak, which starts the memory.
▶Young Mimi at Home
▶Collectibles · 9 9 collectibles
Exciting — Chapter 3 — foot of the bed in Mimi's bedroom.
Pink potted plant sticker — Chapter 3 — at the pink pot with a plant by the steps down from the house, right of the path.
Shed sticker — Chapter 3 — on the ground inside the shed at the top left of the garden screen.
Beautiful — Chapter 3 — garden steps and flowerbeds in front of the house, the same spot as Lavender.
Cave workbench tape — Chapter 3, memory — at the garden cave workbench, on the barrel next to it; before the road to town.
Mysterious — Chapter 3 — in the cave next to the right-hand barrel, just right of the tape.
Trowel sticker — Chapter 3 — awarded automatically for picking up the trowel from the cave workbench.
Planting flower sticker — Chapter 3 — awarded automatically after planting with Nora; thyme, sage or rose, whichever you choose.
Fresh — Chapter 3 — go right along the road instead of following Nora to the river; roadside near the cliff edge.
The memory starts upstairs near Mimi's room. Go into the bedroom as soon as you have control and pick up the word Exciting at the foot of the bed.
Daily toilet visit 3 of 7: The story sends Mimi into the bathroom at the far right of the upper floor to brush her teeth and change. Use the toilet while you're there, before you go downstairs and out of the house.
Outside, in this order:
- Sticker: Go down the steps from the house to the pink pot with a plant, on the right of the path.
- Sticker: On the ground inside the shed at the top left of the garden screen.
- Beautiful (word): On the left, by the steps up to the garden and the flowerbeds in front of the house.
- Tape: In the cave, at the workbench, on the barrel next to it.
- Mysterious (word): In the cave, next to the barrel on the right, just right of the tape.
- Sticker: Picking up the trowel from the workbench awards a sticker automatically.
- Sticker: Planting with Nora in the garden awards a flower sticker automatically. You choose thyme, sage or rose and get the sticker for that plant. Any choice is fine for Pimp your laptop; you can't get the other two in the same run, and you don't need them.
- Fresh (word): When you set off toward town, don't follow Nora down to the river. Go right along the road. The word is at the side of the road near the cliff edge and the dark green bushes.
▶The Market
The Market15G
▶The Market
The Market15G
▶Collectibles · 8 8 collectibles
Market food truck sticker — Chapter 3, market — food truck screen, in a crate on the right by the milk seller's stand.
Hardware store tape — Chapter 3, market — left side of the hardware store screen by the brown dog, on the table where two girls sit; before Gotcha!.
Calm — Chapter 3, market — hardware store screen, next to the group of people just right of the brown dog.
Market ducks statue sticker — Chapter 3, market — hardware store screen, at the statue of three ducks (or geese).
Market vegetable stall sticker — Chapter 3, market — next to the stall with the orange parasol roof, on an orange cardboard box.
Weird — Chapter 3, market — vegetable market screen, on the main path next to the woman in the purple hat.
Market florist sticker — Chapter 3, market — florist screen, on the ground in the street next to the toddler.
Crowd — Chapter 3, market — baker's alley, with the children playing marbles.
You get this when you reach the market. It's a story unlock.
Chapter 3 has more routed stickers than any other chapter, and four of them are in the market. The market is a hub of several screens, and its words aren't tied to the errands, so you can take the screens in any order. Get all of these before you chase the thief:
- Food truck screen (north of the start): Sticker in a crate on the right, right of the woman in the teal dress, by the milk seller's stand.
- Hardware store screen (top left): On the left side, by the brown dog, a tape sits on the table where two girls are sitting near the hardware stand. The word Calm is next to the group of people just right of the dog. Go right to the statue of three ducks (some guides call them geese) for a sticker.
- Vegetable market screen: Go right for a sticker next to the stall with the orange parasol roof, on an orange cardboard box. The word Weird is on the main path next to the woman in the purple hat.
- Florist screen: Sticker at the back, on the ground in the middle of the street next to the toddler, by the florist's stand.
- Baker's alley (yellow-walled building): The word Crowd is with the children playing marbles in the street.
▶Gotcha!
Gotcha!15G
Follow the panting sounds through the stalls and take a photo of the thief. The achievement unlocks when the photo is taken. By the end of Chapter 3 you should have 8 letters, 4 tapes, 18 stickers and 11 words.
▶Binder Session
Players report you can make as many pages as you like in this session. Build them from the photos, stickers and words you've collected so far. Simple layouts count, so don't worry about design.
▶It's just getting started
This unlocks when you've made 5 pages in the binder.
▶Holiday homework
Keep making new pages. It unlocks at 10 pages.
▶Marcel Proust
Keep going until you've made 20 pages. Safest route: Do all 20 now rather than waiting for later chapters. Later binder sessions also allow new pages, so if this session closes early, keep making pages in Chapters 4 through 6 until the achievement unlocks.
▶Chapter 4
▶Adult Mimi: Kitchen and Attic
▶Collectibles · 1 1 collectible
Kitchen table letter — Chapter 4, present day — on the kitchen tabletop below the tea tins; take before making tea.
Pick up the letter on the kitchen tabletop, just below where the tea tins are kept, before you start making tea. Nobody has confirmed whether the kitchen is still reachable after the tea scene, so take it first.
▶Sniper
Sniper25G
Required: Fill the mug without wasting any water. Pour slowly and stop the moment it's full. If you overfill it, quit to the main menu straight away and pick Continue. If that doesn't put you back before the scene, finish the story and replay Chapter 4 from Chapter Selection only after Like a Swiss clock has unlocked.
As of 2026-10-01 this is a HISTORICALLY REPORTED BUG: in December 2023, after the game's final update, an Xbox One player reported that the strainer disappeared and the scene froze. No fix was released. If it happens, close the game and pick Continue. That fix is anecdotal.
▶The Recorder
The Recorder15G
▶Collectibles · 1 1 collectible
Attic bookcase letter — Chapter 4, present day — attic bookcase next to the stairs, under the hanging blue balloon; before the keypad and recorder.
In the attic, take the letter sticking out of the bookcase right next to the stairs leading down, under the hanging blue hot-air balloon, before you enter the keypad code.
To open the attic keypad, go through the gap made by the toy-train bridge to the corner of the attic and put the tapes in the case in order of the seasons: Summer, Fall, Winter, Spring. These are puzzle tapes, not collectibles. Players report the code as 7245. Taking the recorder from the stopped toy train is a story unlock, and it starts the memory. You should now have 10 letters.
▶Young Mimi: The Attic Train
▶Collectibles · 4 4 collectibles
Secrets — Chapter 4 — attic, on the floor inside the bend of the toy-train track; before leaving the attic screen.
Attic train bend tape — Chapter 4, memory — on a box to the left of the toy-train track bend, just left of Secrets; before leaving the attic screen.
Attic record player sticker — Chapter 4, memory — on the record player left of the toy-train tracks; before leaving the attic screen.
Attic cardboard box sticker — Chapter 4, memory — in or on the cardboard box right of the record player; before leaving the attic screen.
The memory starts in the attic at the toy train. Collect everything here before you leave the attic screen. Leaving it triggers a cutscene that puts Mimi in the garden, and the memory doesn't come back to the attic.
- Secrets (word): On the floor at the lower left, inside the bend of the track.
- Tape: On a box to the left of the track bend, just left of Secrets.
- Sticker: On the record player, under the speaker, to the left of the train tracks.
- Sticker: In or on the cardboard box to the right of the record player and tracks.
▶Just listen
Just listen15G
▶Collectibles · 1 1 collectible
Toy train — Chapter 4 — the toy train in the attic at the start of the memory.
Recording starts now. Record the toy train first. The achievement unlocks at your second recorded sound, which on this route is the hot air balloons at the river. From now on, record every sound you're offered. Jean-Claude Roché needs 14 sounds, and 14 of the game's 15 come before you leave Renaud's hideout in Chapter 5.
▶Garden, River, Beach and Climb
▶Collectibles · 5 5 collectibles
Cave barrel sticker — Chapter 4, memory — on the ground just behind the right-hand barrel in the garden cave; before fixing the kayak.
Cave barrel tape — Chapter 4, memory — on top of the right-hand barrel in the garden cave; before fixing the kayak.
Shiny — Chapter 4 — approach the workbench in the garden cave.
Hot air balloons — Chapter 4 — aim up at the balloons from the Chapter 2 photo spot at the river, before the kayak.
River water (Chapter 4) — Chapter 4 — aim at the river from the same spot, before the kayak.
Daily toilet visit 4 of 7: When you get control in the garden after the attic cutscene, walk back into the house and up to the upstairs bathroom, and use the toilet before you enter the cave to help Nora with the kayak. The memory doesn't come back to the house afterward. If you skip this, Like a Swiss clock won't unlock in this run.
Then go into the cave (the workshop) before you fix the kayak with Nora:
- Sticker: On the ground a little behind the barrel on the right of the screen.
- Tape: On top of that same right-hand barrel.
- Shiny (word): Approach the workbench.
At the river viewpoint, the spot where you photographed Nora in Chapter 2, aim up at the sky and record the hot air balloons, then aim at the river and record the water. Do both before you get in the kayak. Just listen unlocks at the balloons. If you miss either, you get a second chance at the Chapter 5 river observation point.
▶Kayak...ing
Kayak...ing15G
▶Collectibles · 9 9 collectibles
Picnic beach sticker (Chapter 4) — Chapter 4 — on the beach after the kayak trip, just north of the kayak, right of Nora.
River dive frog sticker — Chapter 4 — during the cutlery dive, by the largest of the stones at the bottom of the screen.
Queen — Chapter 4, climb — entering the climbing area, by the white rock wall.
Bird — Chapter 4, climb — where you scare off a flock of birds on a slope.
Peaceful — Chapter 4, climb — at the lookout point up from the bird slope.
Scared — Chapter 4, climb — under the wooden beams; drop down from the beams instead of jumping across.
Funny — Chapter 4, climb — to the right of the wooden beams.
Amazing — Chapter 4, climb — just after crossing the vine.
Height — Chapter 4, climb — on the last stone ledge before the final climb to the summit.
This unlocks when you get in the kayak. It's a story unlock.
On the beach, after a short cutscene, follow the prompt to get up. The sticker is just north of the kayak, to the right of Nora. Take it before you carry the picnic basket to Nora. During the dive for the fallen cutlery, swim to the stones at the bottom of the screen and go around them. The frog sticker is by the largest stone. You can finish the dive without it, so check.
On the cliff climb, seven words appear in this order:
- Queen: As you enter the climbing area, by the white rock wall.
- Bird: Where you scare off a flock of birds while sliding down a slope.
- Peaceful: At the lookout point a little way up from the bird slope.
- Scared: Far to the right of the lookout, near bushes under the wooden beams fixed into the mountain. To reach it, drop down from the beams instead of jumping across them.
- Funny: To the right of the wooden beams.
- Amazing: Just after you cross the vine.
- Height: Stand on the last stone ledge before the final climb to the summit.
Scared and Height are the two that need care. The map sticker puzzle at the end uses seven puzzle stickers from a bag. They're puzzle pieces and don't count toward Pimp your laptop. By the end of Chapter 4 you should have 6 tapes, 23 stickers, 20 words and 3 sounds.
▶Chapter 5
▶Adult Mimi
▶Collectibles · 2 2 collectibles
Attic record player letter — Chapter 5, present day — on the record player left of the toy-train tracks; before the jar.
Swing tree jar letter — Chapter 5, present day — in the jar in the hollow trunk of the tree with the swing; starts the memory.
In the attic, pick up the letter on the record player to the left of the toy-train tracks, the same spot where a sticker was in the previous chapter. Then go outside to the tree with the swing, to the right of the house. Take the jar from the hollow trunk and look inside. The jar holds a letter and starts the memory, so get the attic letter first. You should now have 12 letters.
▶Young Mimi at Home
▶Collectibles · 4 4 collectibles
Dressing table tape — Chapter 5, memory — on the dressing table in front of the mirror in Mimi's bedroom; before leaving through the gate.
Coffee table tape — Chapter 5, memory — on the living room coffee table in front of the TV; before leaving through the gate.
Sneaky — Chapter 5 — living room sofa, at sleeping Nora's feet.
Front path sticker — Chapter 5, memory — left of the potted plant straight down from the front door, in the middle of the path.
Daily toilet visit 5 of 7: The memory starts inside the upstairs bathroom. Use the toilet before you leave the bathroom.
Then, before you leave through the gate toward the lookout:
- Tape: In Mimi's bedroom, on the dressing table in front of the mirror.
- Tape: In the living room, on the coffee table in front of the TV.
- Sneaky (word): Go left to the sofa, at sleeping Nora's feet.
- Sticker: Outside, go to the potted plant straight down from the front door, not the one near the garden. The sticker is to its left, in the middle of the path up to the house.
▶The Lookout and the River
▶Collectibles · 8 8 collectibles
Church bells — Chapter 5, lookout — the bell tower to the right.
River below the lookout — Chapter 5, lookout — the river below.
Rooster — Chapter 5, lookout — the rooster at a farm.
Leaves in the wind — Chapter 5, lookout — the rustling bush near the house, to the left.
Peace — Chapter 5 — keep left on the way to the river; by dark bushes at a screen transition.
Summer — Chapter 5 — far left of the riverbank, left of the stone path, under a fallen tree.
Insect — Chapter 5, river observation point — aim at the bright white gap between the trees.
River bird — Chapter 5, river observation point — turn around and aim behind you toward the buildings.
Follow the road to the right after leaving the garden to the lookout at the end. Record four sounds there: the church bells in the bell tower to the right, the river below, the rooster at a farm, and the leaves rustling in the wind in the bush near the house to the left.
On the way down to the river, keep to the left of the screen to find the word Peace by dark bushes at a screen transition. On the riverbank, go all the way left from where you enter for the word Summer, on the shore to the left of the stone path across the river, under a fallen tree.
At the river observation point on the rock, record two new sounds:
- Insect: Aim at the bright white gap between the trees.
- Bird: Turn around and aim behind you, toward the buildings. This one is easy to miss, and without it you'll be one short at the hideout.
If you missed the Chapter 4 hot air balloons or river water, record them here too.
▶Did you hear that?
This unlocks at 8 recorded sounds in total. If you recorded everything in Chapter 4, it unlocks at the insect at the river observation point, before the cave. The game counts distinct sounds, so recording a sound you already have shouldn't be relied on to raise the count.
▶The Cave
▶Collectibles · 8 8 collectibles
Dark — Chapter 5 — cave entrance after mooring, lower middle of the screen by the fireflies.
Firefly jar sticker — Chapter 5 — awarded automatically for filling the jar from the tree branch with fireflies at the cave mouth.
Alone — Chapter 5, cave — going right from the entrance.
Impressed — Chapter 5, cave — far right end from the entrance.
Lost — Chapter 5, cave — just before the smaller cave full of bats.
Doubt — Chapter 5, cave — on the incline after leaving the bat cave.
Anger? — Chapter 5, cave — right of Doubt, just before the brown wall you climb.
Coulobre — Chapter 5, cave — go left after climbing the brown wall; a word, separate from the Coulobre sound.
At the cave entrance after mooring, head toward the camera to the lower middle of the screen, by the fireflies, for the word Dark. Before you enter the cave, grab the jar hanging from the tree branch and go toward the cave mouth, where you catch fireflies in it. Filling the jar earns a sticker automatically. Then use the fireflies to light your way through the cave.
The cave has six more words. Check the far edges of every chamber:
- Alone: As you go right from the entrance.
- Impressed: At the far right end from the entrance.
- Lost: Just before you enter the smaller cave full of bats.
- Doubt: On the incline after you leave the bat cave.
- Anger?: Continue right from Doubt. It's just before the brown wall you have to climb.
- Coulobre: After climbing the brown wall, go left.
That's all 10 Chapter 5 words, 30 in total.
▶Renaud
Renaud15G
This unlocks when you reach Renaud at the end of the cave. It's a story unlock.
▶Renaud's Hideout
▶Collectibles · 5 5 collectibles
Hideout dog — Chapter 5, Renaud's hideout — a howling dog; before the Coulobre call.
Hideout farm — Chapter 5, Renaud's hideout — the farm, a braying donkey; before the Coulobre call.
Hideout leaves — Chapter 5, Renaud's hideout — rustling leaves; before the Coulobre call.
Hideout river — Chapter 5, Renaud's hideout — the rushing river; before the Coulobre call.
Hideout bird — Chapter 5, Renaud's hideout — a bird toward the right-hand corner of the left river (some guides call it the Coulobre); before the Coulobre call.
Record all five sounds from the hideout before you start the Coulobre call: a howling dog, the farm (a braying donkey), rustling leaves, the rushing river and a bird. The bird is the one most often missed. Sweep the view toward the right-hand corner of the left river and listen for it. Some guides call this sound the Coulobre. Nobody has confirmed whether the hideout view stays available after the call, so do these first.
▶Jean-Claude Roché
This unlocks at 14 recorded sounds in total. If you recorded everything so far, it unlocks at the fifth hideout sound. If it hasn't unlocked before you leave the hideout, sweep the view again for the bird. Before that, the most likely missing sound is the bird behind you at the Chapter 5 river observation point.
The game has 15 sounds, so there's one spare. Chapter 6 has exactly one more, a barking dog at the house lookout, which covers a single miss. Don't judge your progress by the sound album: its chapter pages don't match where sounds were recorded, so a page can look incomplete when nothing is missing. Count the total instead.
As of 2026-10-01, a July 2023 PC report of this achievement not unlocking is a HISTORICALLY REPORTED BUG. The developer acknowledged it, later patches followed, and no later reports were found. The only recoveries reported are anecdotal: record the Chapter 6 dog, or replay the chapter after the story.
▶Outstanding imitator
Required: Copy Renaud's Coulobre call with no mistakes. The sequence gets longer each round, so watch each direction he shows and repeat it exactly. The achievement unlocks after the final round if you made no errors. If you make a mistake, quit to the main menu straight away and pick Continue. That's a precaution, as no source documents a retry for this scene. If it doesn't put you back before the scene, finish the story and replay Chapter 5 from Chapter Selection after Like a Swiss clock has unlocked.
The Coulobre call sequence also gives Mimi a tape automatically, about a minute later in the closing scene. It's a story tape, not one of the 11 collectible tapes for The archivist, so nothing needs to be picked up.
▶Back Home
When young Mimi hurries home at the end of the chapter, you regain control in Mimi's room. Safest route: Use the upstairs toilet again before you head out of the house to talk to Nora in the garden. Only the visit at the start of the memory is known to be required, but this one costs seconds. By the end of Chapter 5 you should have 8 tapes, 25 stickers and 14 sounds.
▶Chapter 6
▶Adult Mimi
▶Collectibles · 2 2 collectibles
Pantry letter — Chapter 6, present day — kitchen pantry, next to the bottles on the second shelf from the top.
Nora's room chair letter — Chapter 6, present day — far left of Nora's room, left of the entrance, on a chair or stool partly behind a flower; before the wristwatch.
Pick up the letter on the kitchen pantry shelves, next to the bottles on the second shelf from the top. Then go to Nora's room and pick up the letter at the far left of the screen, to the left of the entrance, on a chair (also described as a stool) partly hidden behind a flower. Then open the wardrobe, get Nora's scarf and click the wristwatch in the picture to start the memory. You should now have 14 letters.
▶Young Mimi at Home
▶Collectibles · 3 3 collectibles
Landing bench tape — Chapter 6, memory — on the bench in the middle of the upstairs landing between the stairs and Nora's room; before talking to Nora.
Garden table tape — Chapter 6, memory — on the garden table to the left of Nora's house, right after the cooking.
Lookout barking dog — Chapter 6 — a barking dog from the house lookout; the spare sound.
The memory starts in the kitchen, not upstairs. Talking to Nora starts the cooking, and when the cooking ends you're outside with no way back into the house. Before you talk to her:
Daily toilet visit 6 of 7: Go upstairs straight away. Grab the tape on the bench in the middle of the upstairs landing, between the stairs and Nora's room, under the window. Use the toilet, then come back down and talk to Nora.
During the cooking, you can record the potatoes frying, which gives Mimi a tape. It's a story tape, not one of the 11 collectible tapes for The archivist, and the recording isn't one of the 15 sounds, so it's optional.
When you're put outside and set off on the picnic with Nora, take the tape on the garden table to the left of Nora's house. Record the barking dog from the house lookout too, even if Jean-Claude Roché has already unlocked.
▶Picnic Route
▶Collectibles · 7 7 collectibles
Moss tree sticker — Chapter 6 — path to the river, left side, in front of the moss-covered tree; after the narration.
Dandelion — Chapter 6 — path to the river, right of the screen, past the moss tree sticker.
River kayak sticker — Chapter 6 — at the river, left of the kayak.
Snack — Chapter 6 — at the river, up and to the left of the kayak, at the water's edge.
Picnic beach sticker (Chapter 6) — Chapter 6 — on the beach just above the kayak, between the kayak and Nora.
Together — Chapter 6 — on the beach just right of the entrance to the woods; the last word.
Pine cone toy sticker — Chapter 6 — awarded automatically for making the pine cone toy in the woods; the last sticker.
This is the last chapter with words and stickers, and all of them are outdoors along the picnic route. On each stretch, wait for Mimi's narration to finish, because you can't pick things up while it plays.
- Sticker: On the path toward the river (the green tunnel), on the left side of the screen in front of a bright green moss-covered tree.
- Dandelion (word): On the right of the same screen, a little past that sticker.
- Sticker: At the river, on the left side of the screen from the path you came down, left of the kayak.
- Snack (word): Just right of the path and its sticker, up and to the left of the kayak, at the water's edge.
- Sticker: On the beach, just above the kayak, roughly between the kayak and Nora.
- Together (word): On the beach, just right of the entrance to the woods.
- Sticker: In the woods, after a short cutscene, follow the prompts to make and decorate the pine cone toy. The sticker is awarded automatically, and it's the last sticker in the game.
The woods have no word.
▶Dictionary is not an option
This unlocks when you've collected all 33 words: 4 in Chapter 2, 7 in Chapter 3, 9 in Chapter 4, 10 in Chapter 5 and 3 in Chapter 6. Chapters 1, 7 and 8 have none, and the words you pick in dialogue don't count. If you missed none, it unlocks as you pick up Together on the beach. If it doesn't unlock, keep playing, and find the missing words with Chapter Selection after the story, only after Like a Swiss clock has unlocked and before any New Game.
▶Pimp your laptop
This guide routes 29 sticker pickups and rewards for this achievement: 6 in Chapter 1, 4 in Chapter 2, 8 in Chapter 3, 5 in Chapter 4, 2 in Chapter 5 and 4 in Chapter 6. Four of them are automatic rewards (the trowel, planting with Nora, the firefly jar and the pine cone toy), and one flower sticker of any kind is enough. The story also grants some stickers automatically through story and location progression; those aren't listed and can't be missed. If you missed none, it unlocks at the pine cone toy reward. If it doesn't, at least one sticker was missed; clean it up with Chapter Selection after the story, only after Like a Swiss clock has unlocked.
The chapter ends with a binder session. If Marcel Proust still hasn't unlocked, make more pages here.
▶Chapter 7
▶Adult Mimi
▶Collectibles · 2 2 collectibles
Nora's bed letter — Chapter 7, present day — on the bed in Nora's room, where the chapter starts.
Mimi's dresser letter — Chapter 7, present day — on the dresser near the mirror in Mimi's room; before the newspapers and beeping watch.
Pick up the letter on the bed in Nora's room, where Mimi starts the chapter, and the letter on the dresser near the mirror in Mimi's room. Then examine the newspapers in the living room and find the beeping watch underneath to start the memory. You should now have 16 letters.
▶Young Mimi Upstairs
The memory starts in the attic, and the upper floor can be explored. Nora's room is to the right of the stairs and to the left of the bathroom. Do both upstairs steps below before you go downstairs and out to the river.
▶Like a Swiss clock
Daily toilet visit 7 of 7: Use the upstairs toilet at the start of this memory. The bathroom is next to Nora's room, where you pick up the last tape. If you made every earlier visit in one continuous run, it unlocks now. If it doesn't, this run has failed. Finish the story anyway, do all your Chapter Selection cleanup, and only then follow the recovery in the last cleanup section.
▶The archivist
▶Collectibles · 1 1 collectible
Nora's room tape — Chapter 7, memory — awarded in Nora's room when Mimi leaves Nora a message; the last tape.
Go into Nora's room. Mimi leaves Nora a message, and the final tape is added (one source says it's awarded as soon as you enter). Follow any on-screen prompt. Don't confuse this with the letter on Nora's bed, which adult Mimi already took.
There are 11 collectible tapes, and this is the 11th. If you found every earlier tape, the achievement unlocks here. If it doesn't, the most likely gap is the Chapter 6 landing bench tape, which has to be taken before you talk to Nora. The Chapter 2 present-day dresser tape, the Coulobre imitation tape and the frying potatoes tape don't count toward The archivist, so they can't be the missing one.
▶The River
▶The Coulobre
The Coulobre15G
This unlocks when you meet the Coulobre during the river section. It's a story unlock.
▶First aid
First aid25G
Required: Do CPR on Mimi with no mistakes. Press the button each time the rings line up. The achievement unlocks when you finish without errors. If you miss once, quit to the main menu straight away and pick Continue. If that doesn't put you back before the scene, finish the story and replay Chapter 7 from Chapter Selection. This scene comes after the Chapter 7 toilet visit, but check that Like a Swiss clock has unlocked before you use Chapter Selection anyway.
▶Chapter 8
▶Last Words
This short final chapter is in first person. Follow the sounds with the camera.
▶The end... or the begining
▶Collectibles · 1 1 collectible
Nora's last letter — Chapter 8 — taken from the suitcase Renaud gives you; unlocks The end... or the begining.
Take Nora's last letter from the suitcase Renaud gives you. This is a story unlock, and it finishes the game.
▶Postman
Postman30G
This unlocks when you've collected all 17 letters: 3 in Chapter 1, 3 in Chapter 2 and 2 in each of Chapters 3 to 7, plus Nora's last letter, which is the final one. If you found every earlier letter as adult Mimi, it unlocks now. If not, finish the cleanup below.
▶Chapter Selection Cleanup
▶How Chapter Selection Works
Chapter Selection is in the main menu. For each chapter, it shows which collectibles you've found and which are still missing. Which categories it lists, and whether it shows counts, isn't confirmed, so use the per-chapter totals in this guide and the Collectibles section to work out exactly what's missing.
- Like a Swiss clock first: Starting any chapter from Chapter Selection resets Like a Swiss clock's progress. This is developer-confirmed and will never be patched. Before you start a chapter from Chapter Selection for the first time, confirm that Like a Swiss clock has unlocked. If it hasn't, you can still do all your cleanup now, because nothing else is affected, but finish it before the recovery run.
- Other achievements: Every other achievement unlocks normally during replays, and achievements you've already earned stay unlocked.
- Replays: Cinematics you've already seen can be skipped. A replayed chapter carries on into the next chapter, so you can quit once you've got what you need. Let the pickup's on-screen confirmation finish before you quit.
- Later saves: One source reports that replaying a chapter wipes your progress in every later chapter. A replayed chapter carries on into the next chapter, so treat that report as likely.
- Running counter: As of 2026-10-01, a single 2024 report of the bottom-left pickup counter showing inflated totals after a replay is a HISTORICALLY REPORTED BUG. It's display only. After any replay, trust the Chapter Selection screen and your achievement list, not that counter.
- Photo, sound and page counts: No one has tested whether these carry across replays, which is why the route finishes them in the first run.
- New Game: Starting a New Game erases your save, including all collectible progress. Finish every Chapter Selection cleanup before you start one.
Safest route: Check every chapter first and write down what's missing. Then replay chapters starting with the latest one that has a gap and work back toward Chapter 1. This order is safe whether or not later saves get wiped.
▶Cleanup Targets
Use Chapter Selection and the Collectibles section to finish anything still locked:
- Postman: Missing letters are always in a chapter's opening adult-Mimi section (Chapters 1 to 7), before the memory starts. Expect 3, 3, 2, 2, 2, 2 and 2 letters in Chapters 1 to 7. Find which chapter has a gap, then replay only that opening stretch.
- The archivist: There are 11 collectible tapes in Chapters 2 to 7: 2, 2, 2, 2, 2 and 1, all in the childhood memories. The Chapter 2 present-day dresser tape, the Chapter 5 Coulobre imitation tape and the Chapter 6 frying potatoes tape are story tapes and don't count, so ignore them when looking for a gap.
- Dictionary is not an option: There are 33 words in Chapters 2 to 6: 4, 7, 9, 10 and 3.
- Pimp your laptop: The guide routes 29 stickers in Chapters 1 to 6: 6, 4, 8, 5, 2 and 4. It isn't confirmed whether Chapter Selection shows the two flower stickers you didn't choose as missing in Chapter 3. If Pimp your laptop has unlocked, ignore any Chapter 3 sticker gap. If it hasn't, check Chapter 3's stickers against this guide rather than trusting the screen alone.
- Jean-Claude Roché: There are 15 sounds: 3 in Chapter 4, 11 in Chapter 5 and 1 in Chapter 6. Replaying Chapter 6 and then Chapter 5 is usually enough, since Chapter 5 also gives a second chance at the Chapter 4 river sounds. Judge by the total, not the album's chapter pages.
- Sarah Moon and Marcel Proust: These count totals. Take photos in any chapter with the camera, or make pages in any binder session, until they unlock.
- Precision achievements: Replay Chapter 2 for Rule #1 Milk first, Chapter 4 for Sniper, Chapter 5 for Outstanding imitator and Chapter 7 for First aid.
When you're done, recheck every chapter in Chapter Selection and your achievement list.

Letter to Fabrice — Chapter 1, opening car scene — on the front seat to the right of the bag, after the phone messages; can't be reached once you leave the car.
Fresh — Chapter 3 — go right along the road instead of following Nora to the river; roadside near the cliff edge.
Scared — Chapter 4, climb — under the wooden beams; drop down from the beams instead of jumping across.
Height — Chapter 4, climb — on the last stone ledge before the final climb to the summit.
River dive frog sticker — Chapter 4 — during the cutlery dive, by the largest of the stones at the bottom of the screen.
River bird — Chapter 5, river observation point — turn around and aim behind you toward the buildings.
Hideout bird — Chapter 5, Renaud's hideout — a bird toward the right-hand corner of the left river (some guides call it the Coulobre); before the Coulobre call.
Landing bench tape — Chapter 6, memory — on the bench in the middle of the upstairs landing between the stairs and Nora's room; before talking to Nora.
If an achievement is still locked, check these first. They're the collectibles players most often walk past: the Chapter 1 car letter, the Chapter 3 roadside word, the two Chapter 4 climb words that need care, the Chapter 4 river dive sticker, the two Chapter 5 bird sounds, and the Chapter 6 landing bench tape that comes before the cooking.
▶If Like a Swiss clock Didn't Unlock
As of 2026-10-01 this is CURRENTLY COMMUNITY-FLAGGED / BUGGY: the developer confirmed that Chapter Selection resets this achievement's tracker and that no fix will be released.
Verified recovery: Finish all Chapter Selection cleanup first, because starting a New Game erases your save. Then start a New Game and play straight through to Chapter 7 without using Chapter Selection, making every young Mimi toilet visit, including the Chapter 2 visit before breakfast, the Chapter 4 detour from the garden and the Chapter 6 visit before cooking. Players report it unlocking during Chapter 7 of the new run, about two hours in. Achievements you've already earned stay unlocked.
Conflicting community evidence: Several Xbox players report success after selecting Chapter 1 once from Chapter Selection and then playing continuously through Chapter 7 without picking another chapter, while other reports say only a true New Game worked. It also triggers the reported wipe of later saves. New Game remains the safest recovery.

This section is the checklist of every tracked collectible. The walkthrough above tells you when to collect each one; ticking items here is your own tracking and doesn't change your Xbox achievement progress.
▶Letters
17 in the game
The 17 letters for Postman: 3 in Chapter 1, 3 in Chapter 2, 2 in each of Chapters 3 to 7, and Nora's last letter in Chapter 8. Every letter in Chapters 1 to 7 is in that chapter's adult-Mimi section, before the memory starts, so a missed letter means replaying that chapter's opening after Like a Swiss clock has unlocked. Nora's letter on arrival, the letter in the swing tree jar and Nora's last letter are given by the story and can't be missed. The note in the fountain pen in Chapter 1 isn't a counted letter. The game doesn't name or number letters, so they're listed by location.

▶Cassette Tapes
11 in the game
The 11 collectible tapes for The archivist: 2 in each of Chapters 2 to 6 and 1 in Chapter 7, all in the childhood memories. The Chapter 7 tape is awarded in Nora's room. Three other tapes are story tapes that don't count and aren't listed: the Chapter 2 present-day dresser tape, the tape from the Chapter 5 Coulobre imitation and the tape from recording the Chapter 6 frying potatoes. The season tapes in the Chapter 4 attic keypad puzzle aren't collectibles either. The game doesn't name or number tapes, so they're listed by location.

▶Stickers
29 listed
The 29 sticker pickups and rewards this guide routes for Pimp your laptop: 6 in Chapter 1, 4 in Chapter 2, 8 in Chapter 3, 5 in Chapter 4, 2 in Chapter 5 and 4 in Chapter 6, none in Chapters 7 and 8. Four are automatic rewards: the trowel, planting with Nora, the firefly jar and the pine cone toy. The planting reward is one flower sticker matching the plant you choose; the two flowers you don't choose aren't required and aren't listed. These aren't necessarily the whole in-game sticker album: the game also grants some stickers automatically through story and location progression, and those can't be missed, so they aren't listed. The seven puzzle stickers in the Chapter 4 map puzzle aren't collectibles. The game doesn't name or number stickers, so they're listed by location.

▶Recordable Sounds
15 in the game
The 15 sounds the recorder can capture: 3 in Chapter 4, 11 in Chapter 5 and 1 in Chapter 6. Just listen, Did you hear that? and Jean-Claude Roché need 2, 8 and 14 distinct sounds, so one sound is spare. The Chapter 4 hot air balloons and river water can also be recorded at the Chapter 5 river observation point; they're the same sounds, not extra ones. The frying potatoes recording in Chapter 6 awards a tape and isn't one of these sounds. The sound album files some sounds on a different chapter's page from where you record them, so count the total.
