Before You Start

Dune: Awakening has 74 achievements worth 1,000 Gamerscore on Xbox Series X|S. Welcome to Arrakis is worth 51 and every other achievement is worth 13. The Book One finale (The Great Convention Part III) is included in the Xbox release, so its two achievements, The Great Convention and Sardaukar Killer, are part of the standard list.

  • Unobtainable achievements: none known, as of 2026-10-07.
  • Missables: one. Lisan al-Gaib is decided by a single dialogue choice, the first time a sandworm eats you after the Across the Gap journey. It can only be redone on a new character. Read that section before you finish Across the Gap.
  • Online: Trader needs a trade with another real player, which is impossible in single-player. Strength In Numbers is safest on a multiplayer character as well. Everything else can be done solo.
  • Playthroughs: one story run on one main character, plus a short session on a separate multiplayer character.
  • Difficulty: no achievement depends on difficulty. PS5 players report achievements unlocking on Custom single-player settings. Xbox hasn't been confirmed yet, so see the early check below.
  • Hardest items: the long cumulative grinds (Miner, the six 500-kill achievements, Master Assassin, Thirst Quenched), Weapons Manufacturer (the Lasgun schematic is a rare drop), Vehicle Master and Ultimate Machinery (late-game Plastanium crafting), and the stealth sections of the finale.

Single-Player or Multiplayer

You choose single-player or multiplayer when you first boot the game, and the two use separate characters. A single-player character can never move to multiplayer, and a multiplayer character can never move into single-player. Achievements are earned by your Xbox profile, so a single-player main character and a short multiplayer side character both count toward one completion.

This guide plays the whole story and every grind on a single-player character on Custom difficulty. As of 2026-10-07, full Xbox achievement compatibility with Custom single-player settings isn't verified. If you choose this route, you accept some completion risk, and the early checks below are how you limit it. If you'd rather avoid that risk, play the same route on a multiplayer character.

  • On PS5, every trophy has been reported to unlock on Custom single-player settings, even with heavily modified sliders, and no in-game warning appears. As of 2026-10-07 there is no Xbox-specific confirmation yet, so use the check below.
  • The Xbox list includes Trader and Strength In Numbers, which the PS5 list doesn't, so a PS5 roadmap won't cover them.
  • Check early: Welcome to Arrakis should unlock at the end of the intro. If it doesn't unlock on your single-player character, switch to a multiplayer character before you put real time in. It only proves that achievements can unlock on your setup. It doesn't prove that every cumulative counter tracks on Custom settings, so check the Xbox achievement app as each early counter (Thirst Quenched, Vampire, Reuse) moves.
  • Custom lets you raise harvesting rates, cut crafting and building costs, speed up resource and loot respawns, lower enemy damage and health, and change XP gain. You can change these at any time.
  • The Deep Desert is fully available in single-player, never resets, and has no PvP.
  • Single-player is limited to one character at a time. Making a new single-player character means deleting your current one, so never do that to fix a mistake. Use a multiplayer character instead (see Multiplayer Visit).
  • The game needs an internet connection at startup and when you create a character. After that, single-player can stay offline.

If you would rather play multiplayer, every route section still applies. Pick the PvE Deep Desert instance whenever you enter the Deep Desert, and expect the grinds to take longer on default rates.

Recommended Custom Settings

Turn up anything that saves you time, but leave these on until the related achievements are done:

  • Sandworms on. Lisan al-Gaib and Staring Contest both need a sandworm, and turning off sandworm spawns removes the only way to trigger them.
  • Item durability on. Reuse needs 100 repairs, and items that never wear down give you nothing to repair.
  • Thirst on. Thirst Quenched counts drinks from a container, so you need to be able to drink.

Raising harvest rates and lowering crafting costs helps the most, because Vehicle Master, Ultimate Machinery and Weapons Manufacturer all cost thousands of late-game materials. Faster enemy respawns help the kill grinds. Before the endgame, also turn up Loot Respawn Speed (in the Harvesting category) so chests refill much faster. The Lasgun schematic farm depends on it.

Funcom's known issues (updated 2026-09-28) say Custom single-player settings don't sync across devices. If you turn off Sandworms or Building Stability on one device and then sign in on another, both are switched back on automatically, which Funcom warns can cause irreversible progression losses. Play your single-player character on one console only. If your settings ever look reset, re-apply them before you do anything else.
Funcom also warns that some Custom settings can block certain missions. If a journey objective won't complete, set your Custom settings back to default, restart the game, finish the step, then switch back.

Tracking and Unlock Delays

The game has no counter for any cumulative achievement. Use the Xbox achievement app's progress display where it shows a bar, and keep your own notes for the rest.

Achievement unlocks can lag. If something you have clearly finished hasn't popped, relog, travel to Arrakeen or Harko Village, or change maps before you redo any work.
CURRENTLY COMMUNITY-FLAGGED / BUGGY (PC/Steam, as of 2026-10-07): some Steam players report The Great Convention and Sardaukar Killer not unlocking after the Book One finale. PS5 players have unlocked both, and achievement trackers show both unlocked on the Xbox network, though that may include the Xbox PC version. Console-specific reliability isn't confirmed. See The Great Convention Part III section.

Close the game properly instead of suspending it mid-session, since suspend and resume caused save problems on Xbox in earlier patches. Restart the game after a patch downtime so a single-player save picks up the update.

CURRENTLY COMMUNITY-FLAGGED / BUGGY (as of 2026-10-07): Funcom's known issues list Xbox single-player autosaves failing to load on the console. Hotfix 1.5.3.6 (2026-10-06) fixed an autosave recovery issue, but it isn't confirmed that this resolves the Xbox problem. If an autosave won't load, don't delete save files or uninstall the game. Funcom support advised keeping them, because affected saves may work after a future fix. That is a precaution, not a confirmed recovery. No reliable way to restore an affected save is confirmed.

Hagga Basin: A New Beginning

The Fall of the Proteus

Create your single-player character and choose Custom settings. The intro is a short guided escape from the crashed prison ship.

Welcome to Arrakis

This unlocks when you finish The Fall of the Proteus and reach Hagga Basin. It cannot be missed. On a single-player character it is also your first check that achievements are unlocking at all. It doesn't confirm that the long counters track, so keep an eye on those too.

Griffin's Reach and Your First Base

The A New Beginning journey walks you through gear, a shelter, water, and your first base. Griffin's Reach Tradepost in Hagga Basin South is your first hub. Several achievements unlock as you follow the journey, and this is the point to start every long counter.

Stake Your Claim

Placing your first Sub-Fief Console unlocks this. The journey asks you to do it while you set up your base.

Basic Machinery

Place all five basic buildings in your base:

  • Fabricator
  • Small Ore Refinery
  • Fuel-Powered Generator
  • Blood Purifier
  • Small Chemical Refinery

You need all five early in any case. Keep them in your own base, since machines placed by other players reportedly don't count, and turn each one on and use it once.

Time to Relax

Sit in any chair. Players who logged in between 2026-09-17 and 2026-10-22 received a free decoration set with two chairs. Otherwise build a cheap chair, or sit in one at a tradepost.

Pressures of Thirst

Buy a cup of water from the water seller at Griffin's Reach Tradepost. Any tradepost water merchant or a bartender in Arrakeen or Harko Village also works. It is cheap, so do it on your first visit.

Job’s Done!

This unlocks when you complete any contract. Take one from the Griffin's Reach contract board and finish it, or let it unlock from the first contract the journey hands you.

Counters to Start Now

These achievements fill slowly, so start them with the tools you have now rather than leaving them all to the end.

Thirst Quenched

Drink from a water container 1,000 times. Each drink action from a literjon or similar container counts as one sip. Drinking straight from a source, such as a tradepost cistern, may not count.

  • Put a literjon on your hotbar and drink a few times whenever you are thirsty and out in the sun.
  • Small sips count the same as big gulps, so tap rather than hold.
  • Keep a tally and go past 1,000, because the game's count has been reported to run behind.

Vampire

Extract 50,000 ml of blood from corpses with a blood extractor. The requirement counts blood harvested, not blood turned into water. You will use this to stay hydrated anyway, so drain every corpse you leave behind. A higher-tier extractor takes more blood per corpse.

Second Chance

Get yourself or another player out of a downed state 100 times. Reviving yourself counts. Hold the revive prompt every time you go down instead of letting the timer run out. The fastest farm is in the endgame cleanup section.

Reuse

Repair 100 items at a Repair Station. Repairing the same item again and again counts. Every repair also lowers the item's maximum durability and costs materials. Build a Repair Station when the tech tree offers it, and repair your gear whenever it wears down.

Eco-Friendly

Recycle 100 items at a Recycler. Looted equipment counts, so recycle the junk gear you pick up instead of selling it.

Explorer

Survey all 12 regions of Hagga Basin with a Survey Probe Launcher. The A Touch of Civilization step of A New Beginning has you fabricate the launcher, and the story later needs it at the Eighth Trial. Craft it at a Fabricator, carry probe ammo, and fire a probe upward from high ground in each region. Keep the launcher in your hands until the scan finishes.

The 12 regions are:

  • Hagga Basin South
  • Hagga Rift
  • Western Vermillius Gap
  • Eastern Vermillius Gap
  • Jabal Eifrit Al-gharb
  • Jabal Eifrit Al-janub
  • Jabal Eifrit Al-sharq
  • Sheol
  • Mysa Tarill
  • The O'odham
  • Eastern Shield Wall
  • Western Shield Wall

Survey Hagga Basin South now, then survey each region as the story takes you there. This guide reminds you at each one.

  • If a probe fails from a very high point, move down a little and fire again.
  • Clear daytime weather is more reliable than fog at night.
  • Sheol has few tall rocks. Use the rocks near its eastern edge and north end, or fire from a hovering ornithopter later in the game.

Echoes of the Past to Across the Gap

Continue A New Beginning through Echoes of the Past (the First Trial of Aql at Mihna Cavern, Fremen components and your first stillsuit), A Touch of Civilization, The Wreck of the Alcyon, and Across the Gap, which has you build and fuel a sandbike. The First Trial gives you the Scavenger Stillsuit schematic.

Echoes of the Past

The description is "Complete the first part of the story", and the exact trigger isn't confirmed. It may unlock at the Echoes of the Past quest here in A New Beginning, or later in Find the Fremen.

Keep advancing the story either way. It may unlock right here. Expect it no later than the end of Find the Fremen (The Footsteps of the Fremen and its Epilogue). If it still hasn't unlocked once The Assassin's Handbook begins, relog and visit a social hub before you redo anything.

Across the Sands

This unlocks when you assemble a Sandbike and use it. Across the Gap makes you do this. Any tier counts.

Funcom lists a known issue where the Fabricate a Sandbike objective doesn't complete if you built a Sandbike before the objective appeared. Their workaround is to build another Sandbike, or to disassemble and reassemble the one you have.

Scrap Mogul

Complete the Scrap Mettle contract chain from the Griffin's Reach contract board. It is offered from the start and runs through a copper delivery, Wrecking Crew (a Holtzman Amplifier from the Alcyon wreck), Testing Limits, and Bike Building. The final step asks you to deliver a Sandbike Engine and two treads. Do it now, while you are building your own sandbike.

The achievement unlocks when you complete Bike Building.

The Sandworm Vision

This window decides the only missable achievement in the game. It opens once Across the Gap is complete.

TRUE MISSABLE: the vision happens once per character. Accepting the offer locks Lisan al-Gaib out on that character, and the only fix is a new character. Single-player allows only one character, and making a new one deletes your current save. If you make a mistake here, don't delete your single-player character. Earn it on your multiplayer character instead.

Lisan al-Gaib

The first time a sandworm eats you in Hagga Basin after completing Across the Gap, you wake inside the worm and meet a figure called the Guide. At the end of the conversation, choose "I reject your gift. I will do this without help." Do not choose the option that offers you a sandbike.

The achievement unlocks when you reject the offer.

  • Being eaten before Across the Gap does not use up the vision.
  • Do this on open sand in Hagga Basin. Worm deaths in the Deep Desert haven't triggered the vision.
  • You do not need to be riding your sandbike, but leave it parked safely and empty your inventory first, because you die.
  • The vision replaces your first worm death's normal outcome. Every sandworm death after that drops a Worm Tooth into your inventory when you respawn, which you need for In Their Footsteps. Accepting or rejecting the vision doesn't change this.
  • If you have already accepted, earn Lisan al-Gaib on your multiplayer character later (see Multiplayer Visit). It takes about two to three hours to reach this point on a new character. If it doesn't pop after you reject the offer, relog or visit Arrakeen or Harko Village.

To get eaten, walk out onto open sand away from rock and keep moving until a worm comes for you. With Sandworms on, it doesn't take long.

Staring Contest

Get chased by a sandworm, then reach solid rock at the last moment. The worm rears up, stares at you, and leaves. It also counts if you are watching while the worm stares at another player.

  1. Stand on open sand within a short sprint of a rock outcrop.
  2. Move around until a worm starts closing in.
  3. Wait until it is almost on you, then sprint onto the rock.

If the worm turns away before it rears up, you ran too early. This is easy to set up straight after Lisan al-Gaib, before you head on to the Fremen trials. While you are out on the sand, empty your inventory and let a worm eat you once more to collect a Worm Tooth for later.

Find the Fremen

The Find the Fremen journey sends you through the remaining Trials of Aql:

  • Second Trial: The Deep Struggle, Eastern Vermillius Gap. Static Compactor schematic.
  • Third Trial: Cave of the Lost Pilgrim, Western Vermillius Gap.
  • Fourth Trial: Hollow Hammer, Eastern Vermillius Gap, west of the Anvil. Prescience and your third ability slot.
  • Fifth Trial: The Hidden Test, northeast Hagga Rift. Thumper schematic.
  • Sixth Trial: Devil's Eye Cavern, northeast Jabal Eifrit Al-sharq.
  • Seventh Trial: The Red Maw, Hagga Rift. Stilltent schematic.
  • The Footsteps of the Fremen: Sietch Ta'lab, on the Eastern Shield Wall and Mysa Tarill border. The entrance is in a crevice at the base of the cliff, at ground level, not on the cliff top. Bring a Cutteray. Fremen Deathstill schematic.

Along the way you reach the Anvil, where you choose a faction and pick up four contract chains. Survey each region for Explorer the first time a trial takes you there: Western and Eastern Vermillius Gap now, Hagga Rift at the Fifth and Seventh Trials, Jabal Eifrit Al-sharq at the Sixth, and the Eastern Shield Wall at the Footsteps of the Fremen, where the story asks for it anyway.

The Anvil and Your Faction

The Anvil Tradepost is in Eastern Vermillius Gap, and it is the second of the four tradeposts Merchant needs. Both faction recruiters stand there, and its contract board offers Payback, Finding Sehmo, Monster Slaying, Hostile Takeover and the turn-in for Execution Order.

Your faction choice does not lock out any achievement:

  • Hawks and Griffins and House Operator work with either faction.
  • Survivor's Guilt and Intelligence and Counter-Intelligence each have an Atreides chain and a Harkonnen chain, and either chain counts.
  • Master Assassin needs 500 kills of your rival House's troops, and both Houses have troop outposts to farm.

Pick whichever faction you like. You can visit both faction fortresses whichever side you join. No achievement needs a faction switch. Switching is a permanent, one-time choice that resets Landsraad progress, and it has been reported to freeze or fail, so don't do it.

Hawks and Griffins

The requirement is to join a faction. Accept the faction questline from the Atreides or Harkonnen recruiter at the Anvil and keep going until you formally pledge to the House. Game data links the achievement to your House's loyalty test (A Test of Loyalty for Atreides, A Test of Treachery for Harkonnen), but the exact moment it unlocks isn't confirmed. Don't expect it when you accept the first recruiter contract. If it hasn't unlocked after you have pledged, keep advancing the faction journey and relog.

Funcom lists a known issue in the Harkonnen Test of Treason where Kazmir or Lieutenant Tolliver may not show the dialogue option you need, which blocks progress. No fix is listed as of 2026-10-07.
Betrayal contracts block all progress with your current faction once accepted. Don't accept one.

On Top of the World

Climb to the top of Mirzabah, the huge hammer-shaped rock in Eastern Vermillius Gap. A climbable route leads up with no story gate, and the grappling hook helps. There is also a Constellation chest at the summit. The achievement unlocks when you reach the top.

Kirab Instigator

Complete the Payback chain from the Anvil contract board. It has five contracts: Stealing From Thieves, A Thirst for Vengeance, Looking for Leaders, Dropping Drot, and Revenge Never Ends. The first sends you to the Kirab market at Mirzabah, so combine it with On Top of the World.

The achievement unlocks when you complete Revenge Never Ends.

Planetologist and Trooper Basic Training

Two class trainers are near Griffin's Reach. Early contracts point you toward every trainer, so pick up their chains as soon as the game sends you to them:

  • Trooper: Ghavouri, at Griffin's Reach Tradepost.
  • Planetologist: Derek Chinara, at his camp above Imperial Testing Station No. 2, east of Griffin's Reach. Pick up the Assistance Required contract before you talk to him. His first task, Minimic Film Recovery, is inside that station. Derek may fail to acknowledge the Basic Planetologist Training turn-in. If he does, don't abandon the contract. Leave it active and try the turn-in again later.

Your starting class has its basic training already done, so for that class you go straight to the advanced trainer later. Planetologist can't be a starting class, so you always do its whole chain.

Imperial Testing Station No. 2 also holds Do Not Open (below), so do both on the same visit.

Imperial Testing Station Contracts

This achievement needs five separate contracts. Start them now and finish them as the route reaches each station.

Imperial Testing Station Investigator

Complete all five of these contracts:

  • Do Not Open: Griffin's Reach board. Recover the vials from Imperial Testing Station No. 2.
  • Hostile Takeover: Anvil board. Kill Inna Hiller in Imperial Testing Station No. 10.
  • Execution Order: starts at the entrance of Imperial Testing Station No. 197, from the body beside a broken bike. Kill the ringleader inside and turn it in at the Anvil.
  • Lost and Found: a regular contract on the Pinnacle Station board. If it isn't on the board, finding the items inside the station may start it. Recover the CHOAM Communinet Transceiver and Employee Records from Imperial Testing Station No. 29, deep in northern Hagga Rift. The Planetologist chain also visits No. 29, so do both together.
  • Find Olmen: Crossroads board. Search Imperial Testing Station No. 163.

The achievement unlocks when the fifth contract is complete.

  • If Execution Order or Do Not Open is missing from your journal, go to Station No. 197 and search the body by the broken bike first. That has made both appear.
  • Find Olmen opens when you reach the Crossroads during The Assassin's Handbook, and Lost and Found when you reach Pinnacle Station.

The Fourth Trial of Aql

The Fourth Trial takes place at the Hollow Hammer in Eastern Vermillius Gap, west of the Anvil. Partway through the fight, a cutscene offers you the chance to awaken Prescience. The trial also gives you your third ability slot, and afterward you can consume spice.

Past, Present, and Future

This unlocks when you awaken Prescience during the Fourth Trial of Aql.

Eye-Opening

Consume any spice product: Melange Spiced Food, or a spiced drink such as beer, coffee, wine or liquor. You can't consume spice before the Fourth Trial. Make a Melange Spiced Food (see The Divided Messiah below) and eat it.

The Divided Messiah

Craft 100 Melange Spiced Food. Each Muad'Dib corpse cooks into five meals, so you need 20 crafts and 20 mouse corpses.

  1. Research Melange Spiced Food. It is the last item in the Iron Products section of the Exploration tech tree.
  2. Catch Muad'Dib, the small desert mice. They are common on spice fields and open sand and keep appearing every few minutes.
  3. Cook them at a Fabricator (Essentials) or a Survival Fabricator (Consumables).

Mouse corpses last 60 seconds before they despawn, so you have time to grab them. Collect a few every time you cross a spice field.

The Remaining Trials and the Footsteps of the Fremen

Finish the later Trials of Aql and The Footsteps of the Fremen. The trials unlock several survival schematics, including the Fremen Deathstill.

Funcom lists three known issues in The Footsteps of the Fremen: Ari can get stuck, the Enter the Secret Hall objective may not trigger, and completing the trials in Sietch Tabr may cause disconnects or infinite loading. No confirmed workaround is listed for these as of 2026-10-07.

In Their Footsteps

Craft each of these and place a Fremen Deathstill:

  • a Stillsuit (the full Scavenger Stillsuit set of body, gloves, boots and mask)
  • a Static Compactor
  • a Thumper
  • a Stilltent
  • an Unfixed Crysknife (1 Worm Tooth and 1 Plant Fiber at a Personal Fabricator)
  • a Fremen Deathstill, placed in your base

Where the schematics come from:

  • Stillsuit: the First Trial.
  • Static Compactor: the Second Trial.
  • Crysknife: around the Fourth Trial.
  • Thumper: the Fifth Trial.
  • Stilltent: the Seventh Trial.
  • Fremen Deathstill: The Footsteps of the Fremen.

A Worm Tooth drops into your inventory each time a sandworm eats you, after the first worm death that gave you the vision. You can only carry one at a time. If you haven't got one yet, walk out onto open sand and get eaten again. The Deathstill needs power and must sit inside your base.

The achievement unlocks when the last item is crafted or placed.

Deathstiller

Deposit 100 corpses into a Fremen Deathstill. The Advanced Fremen Deathstill also counts.

  • Hold the interact prompt to pick up a corpse, then load it into the Deathstill one body at a time.
  • A Deathstill needs free water storage in its circuit equal to the water it makes, so add cisterns before loading it.
  • A regular Deathstill takes about an hour per body, so build several and load them before you leave base.

Bring corpses home whenever you clear a camp near your base. It is not confirmed whether animal corpses count, so use human enemies.

Echoes of the Past should have unlocked by the time you finish The Footsteps of the Fremen and its Epilogue, which is a phone call at your base. If it hasn't, follow the recovery steps in its section above.

The Assassin's Handbook

The Assassin's Handbook starts after the Find the Fremen Epilogue, when a call sends you to Harko Village. Its targets are, in order:

  1. Black Market Tech (Harko Village)
  2. The Paranoid (Mysa Tarill) and The Glutton (the Hand of Khidr), in either order
  3. The Next Target and Further Instructions (a spice dream at your base)
  4. A Sign From Above (a wreck on the Overland map)
  5. New Targets and The Water Fat (a mansion on the Overland map)
  6. Last Target, The Jackal and A Rendezvous with Ari (Arrakeen)
  7. Searching for Answers (Old Carthag) and the Epilogue

The Handbook itself never sends you to Pinnacle Station or the Shield Wall fortresses. Those are side trips this guide fits in between targets, once your gear can handle them. Several regions here are far more dangerous than Hagga Basin South. Upgrade your armor and weapons first, and lower enemy damage in your Custom settings if a fight is too hard.

Black Market Tech: Harko Village and Arrakeen

Arrakeen is the Atreides city and Harko Village is the Harkonnen one. Both can be visited in single-player. Fly there with your own ornithopter from the Overland map, or pay the taxi pilot at any tradepost. A taxi to a social hub costs 500 Solari and a taxi between tradeposts costs 150. Black Market Tech starts with Elara Tuek at Hannivar's bar in Harko Village.

Take a taxi to Arrakeen now as well. You don't need it for the story until The Jackal, but it holds two advanced trainers, the Atreides Quartermaster, and two stops in the Planetologist chain.

Harko Village

This unlocks when you arrive in Harko Village.

Arrakeen

This unlocks when you arrive in Arrakeen.

Bannerman

Place a banner in your base. The free decoration set given to anyone who logged in between 2026-09-17 and 2026-10-22 includes a banner. Otherwise buy a banner from the faction furniture sets. The Atreides banner is in the Atreides Dining Room set from the Atreides Quartermaster in Arrakeen, and the Harkonnen one comes from the Harkonnen Acquisitor in Harko Village. Banners go in the Wall Deco tab of the construction tool. Place it in the same base you'll use for Feels Like Home.

The Paranoid: Mysa Tarill and the Crossroads

The Paranoid sends you into Mysa Tarill. Take the ID band from the altar before you go inside. The Crossroads Tradepost is the farthest tradepost from where you started, and it serves Mysa Tarill and The O'odham. Entering it gives you the third of the four tradeposts for Merchant. Survey Mysa Tarill and The O'odham separately, because they count as two regions. Pick up Find Olmen here for Imperial Testing Station Investigator.

The Maas Kharet cult runs this region and its testing stations, so come well geared.

Culling the Fanatics

Complete all three chains offered at the Crossroads:

  • The Cult (Sub-Prefect Ramash): Mystery at Mysa Tarill, Motive and Madness, Crysknife Bounty.
  • Dangerous Dealing (Tuffam Shisa): The Missing Pyon, The Learning Center, Hitting the Hit Squad, Making a Martyr. The last one is to kill the assassin Tahmir in Imperial Testing Station No. 71.
  • Cutting Edge (Sanas Ruthe): Equipment Needed, Boosting Power, Finding Focus, Proper Thanks. Proper Thanks has you meet Ruthe's friends northwest of Mysa Tarill and fight off a Maas Kharet ambush. This chain also rewards a finished Arhun K-28 Lasgun, but receiving it doesn't count for Weapons Manufacturer.

The achievement unlocks when the last of the three final contracts (Crysknife Bounty, Making a Martyr, Proper Thanks) is complete.

The Glutton: The Hand of Khidr

The Glutton sends you into Khidr's Shadow, the heavily defended slaver base at the Hand of Khidr in Jabal Eifrit Al-janub. Two Anvil contract chains end in the same base, so do all three things there together. Survey Jabal Eifrit Al-janub while you are in the area.

Desert's Grasp

Reach the top of the Hand of Khidr. A climbable route on the south side leads up, and there is a Constellation chest at the top. The achievement unlocks when you reach the summit.

Infiltrate and Neutralize

Complete Finding Sehmo from the Anvil board. It has three contracts: Missing Sister (search the Hand of Khidr's upper courtyard, admin building and private quarters), Dealing with Devils, and Paper Trail. Paper Trail sends you to a runaway slaver base and the sorting center inside a testing station to recover a slave shipping ledger.

The achievement unlocks when you complete Paper Trail.

Silver or Steel?

Complete Monster Slaying from the Anvil board. It has four contracts: Put Out the Eyes, Take Out the Legs, Clip the Wings, and Strike at the Heart. The last one is to kill the slaver boss Kunladi Halil at the thopter pad of Khidr's Shadow.

The achievement unlocks when you complete Strike at the Heart.

Side Trip: Pinnacle Station and the Stone Sentinel

This trip isn't part of the story. Do it after The Paranoid and The Glutton, before you push on to A Sign From Above. Pinnacle Station is the Jabal Eifrit Al-gharb tradepost. Survey Jabal Eifrit Al-gharb while you are here, and take Lost and Found from the board for Imperial Testing Station Investigator.

The Swordmaster basic trainer, Arno, is at Pinnacle Station. Start his chain here with Checking the Post. It also unlocks Eye of the Storm for Spin to Win, so you can start that counter now.

Merchant

This unlocks once you have entered all four Hagga Basin tradeposts. Entering the area is enough.

  • Griffin's Reach (Hagga Basin South)
  • The Anvil (Eastern Vermillius Gap)
  • The Crossroads (Mysa Tarill area)
  • Pinnacle Station (Jabal Eifrit Al-gharb)

Pinnacle Station is the last one on this route.

The Scorpion’s Sting

Take Counter Insurgency from Sub-Prefect Ramash at Pinnacle Station. It has five contracts: Scout the Enemy, Engage the Enemy, Gather Intelligence, Breaking Training, and Target the Top. The first starts at the abandoned spicing station by the Stone Sentinel. The last sends you into Imperial Testing Station No. 142 on the Shield Wall to kill the Sandflies leader, the Red Scorpion.

The achievement unlocks when you complete Target the Top.

Dentist

Reach the mouth of the Stone Sentinel, the lion-shaped rock formation in the Eastern Shield Wall. You can't fly up to the mouth, so climb a route up the formation's back. The first Counter Insurgency contract takes you to the Sentinel, so do it on that trip. The exact climbing route isn't well documented, so look around the back of the formation for handholds.

The achievement unlocks when you reach the mouth.

Side Trip: The Shield Wall Fortresses

This trip isn't part of the story either. Helius Gate is the Atreides fortress in the Eastern Shield Wall. Riftwatch is the Harkonnen fortress at the south end of Hagga Rift, close to the Anvil. Both are in Hagga Basin, and both achievements unlock just by entering. Survey the Western Shield Wall on this trip.

Two more trainers are here. Start their basic chains when you arrive:

  • Bene Gesserit: Sister Mesa, at Helius Gate. Her first task, The Missing Pieces, sends you to Stonestep Village and the rocks southwest of Rockwarren Village in The O'odham, so accept it here and finish it on your next O'odham visit.
  • Mentat: Samin Moro, at Riftwatch. Bring 100 Plant Fiber and 40 Iron Ore for his first task.
Rival-faction guards may turn hostile. Walk in carefully at the rival fortress and leave if they attack, because entering is all the achievement needs.

Among the Hawks

Enter Helius Gate. The easiest way up is to climb the cliff to the bottom right of the Eastern Shield Wall.

Among the Griffins

Enter Riftwatch. The easiest approach is from the Anvil side, to the east.

Survivor’s Guilt

Complete your faction's version of the chain:

  • Atreides: The Absent Colonel, from the Helius Gate contract board. It has four contracts, ending with A Soldier's End, where you kill Colonel Voldero inside Imperial Testing Station No. 23.
  • Harkonnen: Cleanup Detail, from the Riftwatch contract board. It has four contracts, ending with The Specialists, where you kill Nagir's squad at the old Hagga Rift Mining Support Facility.

The achievement unlocks when you complete A Soldier's End or The Specialists. The Harkonnen chain may only appear later in the faction questline. If it isn't on the Riftwatch board yet, advance your faction journey and check again.

Intelligence and Counter-Intelligence

Complete your faction's version of the chain. Both start at the wreck of the Alecto on the Shield Wall, so bring a scanner.

  • Atreides: Payload, from the Helius Gate board. It ends with Smokescreen, where you transmit a code on a Sandflies communications console.
  • Harkonnen: Counter Agent, from the Riftwatch board. It ends with The Price of Failure, where you kill a double agent.

The achievement unlocks when you complete Smokescreen or The Price of Failure.

Your First Ornithopter: Before A Sign From Above

A Sign From Above sends you to the Wreck of the Hephaestus on the Overland map, and you can only get there in an ornithopter you own. The Water Fat also takes place on the Overland map, and the Epilogue may need one too. Build a Scout Ornithopter before you take on A Sign From Above.

  • The Scout Ornithopter is Aluminum tier (Mk4). Its research takes about 300 Intel, or you can buy the parts from a faction vendor at rank 4.
  • Water is usually the bottleneck for Aluminum ingots, so build up your windtraps and deathstills first.
  • A radiation suit is advised for the wreck.

Above the Sands

This unlocks when you assemble a Scout Ornithopter and use it. Craft the modules at a Vehicle Fabricator and assemble them with the welding torch, starting from the chassis. Don't use unique vehicle parts in any vehicle you build for an achievement, because they have been reported to cause problems.

Sea of Sand

Fly your ornithopter off the northern edge of Hagga Basin onto the Overland map and enter the Deep Desert. In single-player the Deep Desert has no PvP. In multiplayer, choose the PvE instance when you enter.

The achievement unlocks when you arrive in the Deep Desert. You only need to visit for now. The story first needs the Deep Desert in The Great Convention Part I.

Advanced Machinery

Place all ten of these in your base:

  • Weapons Fabricator
  • Survival Fabricator
  • Vehicle Fabricator
  • Garment Fabricator
  • Medium Ore Refinery
  • Wind Turbine (Omnidirectional)
  • Windtrap
  • Improved Blood Purifier
  • Spice Refinery
  • Fremen Deathstill

You build most of these for the ornithopter anyway. If it won't unlock with everything placed, turn on each machine and use it once (put filters in the windtrap, craft something at each fabricator). If that still fails, also place the directional Wind Turbine, because the in-game name of the turbine it wants isn't certain.

Spice Harvesting

You need a Static Compactor and a Spice Refinery by now, and spice comes up often from here on.

Those Who Control the Spice...

The game tracks Spice Sand gathered from compacted spice mounds, 2,000 in total. Compact spice sand with a compactor and pick up the compacted mounds. How much it really takes varies between reports, so keep going past 2,000 if needed.

Safest route:

  • Use a high-tier Compact Compactor (Mk5 or Mk6). The Omni Static Compactor has been reported not to count.
  • Work large spice fields in Hagga Basin. Raising the harvest rate in your Custom settings speeds this up.
  • Keep harvesting during normal play. If you are well past 2,000 and it hasn't unlocked, relog and visit a social hub.

The Overland Targets to the Epilogue

With your ornithopter built, carry on through A Sign From Above, New Targets and The Water Fat, which is a stealth mission at the Water Shipper's Mansion. Then do Last Target, The Jackal (riddles in Jackal's Alley, Arrakeen), A Rendezvous with Ari (the Salusan Bull, Arrakeen), Searching for Answers (Old Carthag, through Zantara in Harko Village) and the Epilogue. If you disconnect or leave Old Carthag during Searching for Answers, you can't get back in from the Overland map. Go to the north section of Harko Village and talk to Zantara, who teleports you back. Stay in the session through Escape the Tleilaxu facility, or its escape cinematic won't play. If you'd rather not risk your ornithopter on the Epilogue trip, take the taxi instead.

The Assassin's Handbook

This unlocks when you finish The Assassin's Handbook journey, the second part of the story.

The Great Convention

The Great Convention runs in three parts. It takes you back through Harko Village and Arrakeen, out to the Eastern Shield Wall and the Deep Desert, and finally off-world. Finish your advanced class training, the four ability achievements and your faction journey alongside it.

Advanced Training

Each school has a basic chain and an advanced chain. The achievement for that school unlocks when you finish its last advanced quest. Finish the basic chains you started earlier, then visit the advanced trainers. After every turn-in, choose the training dialogue option with the trainer to get the next quest.

  • Trooper: Kara Valk, on the upper level of the Arrakeen market plaza. For the final quest she moves to the Salusan Bull bar, at the bottom of the stairs in front of the counter. One step has you pay Campos Demari 3,000 Solari, so carry it. Master of Weapons, the fourth advanced quest, needs around 12 skill points in the Trooper trees.
  • Mentat: Zayn de Witte, at the Salusan Bull in Arrakeen. The chain covers a lot of ground, and its final quest sends you to a wreck in Sheol (the Wreck of the Delphis in older guides, the Wreck of the Ourea in current game data). Follow the quest marker, and bring a Radiation Suit (Aluminum Mk4). Survey Sheol on that trip if you haven't already. Harkonnen players get their own versions of two steps: An Olive Branch becomes Underhanded Hand-Over, and Bloody Results becomes A Bloody Development, both through Piter de Vries in Harko Village instead of Thufir Hawat. The Price of Rejection needs around 10 points in the Assassination tree.
  • Swordmaster: Seron Varlin, in the north of Harko Village. Art of the Sword needs around 9 skill points in the Swordmaster trees. During The Last Stand of Seron Varlin, he may not hand over the note for Fenring's agent. This is a known issue with no listed fix as of 2026-10-07.
  • Bene Gesserit: Jocasta Cleo, in a back alley of Harko Village near the tax office.
  • Planetologist: Derek Chinara's chain is one long run across the basin. In order: Minimic Film Recovery (Imperial Testing Station No. 2), Buried Archives (No. 197, Western Vermillius Gap), Adhering to Hierarchy (Cyprian Io at the Salusan Bull in Arrakeen; afterward Derek moves to a new location, so follow the quest marker, because talking to him at his old spot won't advance the contract), Science Unlocked (No. 76, Jabal Eifrit), The Search for Kynes (Thufir Hawat in Arrakeen, or Piter de Vries in Harko Village for Harkonnen players), A Reasonable Routine (No. 29, northern Hagga Rift), Clues From the Past (No. 71, The O'odham), The Planetologist Report (Cyprian in Arrakeen, then two sniper teams at the camp above No. 2), and The Final Piece (No. 163, The O'odham). If the Search Derek's Camp for Clues objective marker points to the wrong spot, search the ground a few meters around it. An ornithopter makes this far quicker. It shares stations with Lost and Found (No. 29), Making a Martyr (No. 71) and Find Olmen (No. 163), so combine them.
Never abandon The Planetologist Report. Funcom confirms that abandoning this contract makes Derek Chinara despawn permanently. You would lose the Planetologist achievement, and no workaround is listed. If any step of his chain stalls, leave the contract active, relog and try again.

Respeccing skill points costs Spice Melange, and the cost rises with each respec in a short period, so keep some Melange in reserve before the point-heavy steps. You can only respec in a watersealed base or a social hub. After a respec, relog before you spend any points, because spending them straight away loses one skill point.

If a trainer's next quest doesn't appear, talk to the trainer again and choose the training option. If a finished chain still hasn't unlocked its achievement, relog.

Trooper

This unlocks when you complete The Cleansing of Kara Valk.

Mentat

This unlocks when you complete Untwisted Questions.

Swordmaster

This unlocks when you complete The Last Stand of Seron Varlin.

Bene Gesserit

This unlocks when you complete The Rogue Bene Gesserit.

Planetologist

This unlocks when you complete The Final Piece.

Ability Achievements

Each of these needs one ability used 25 times. The first level of each ability costs two skill points, and each tree has prerequisite skills you must buy first. It isn't confirmed whether a use has to hit an enemy. Safest route: use each one on enemies at a weak camp, which covers both cases and helps your kill counters. Each ability has a cooldown, so expect about 10 minutes for Suspensor Blast and Eye of the Storm, about 15 minutes for the Litany, and about 25 minutes for the Hunter-Seeker.

Silent Assassin

Pilot a Hunter-Seeker 25 times. It is a capstone in the Mentat Assassination tree. It becomes available to buy after Bloody Results, the fourth advanced Mentat quest, and The Price of Rejection needs it anyway. It has a 60-second cooldown, and you are exposed while you pilot it, so launch it from cover.

Fear is the Mindkiller

Recite the Litany Against Fear 25 times. It is in the Bene Gesserit Body Control tree, and it unlocks at The Impact of Ecology, the third advanced Bene Gesserit quest. The Rogue Bene Gesserit needs it. The cooldown is 35 seconds at its first level.

Blast Off

Release a Suspensor Blast 25 times. It unlocks when you turn in Master of Weapons, the fourth advanced Trooper quest, and you then buy it in the Suspensor Training tree. It has a 20-second cooldown.

Spin to Win

Perform Eye of the Storm 25 times. It is a basic Swordmaster ability in the Blade tree, available once Arno's chain opens with Checking the Post, so you can start this early. Art of the Sword makes you use it three times anyway. It has a 20-second cooldown at its first level.

The Faction Journey

Keep your faction journey moving between story steps. Faction standing comes from the faction journey and its contracts, and you need 1,999 standing for rank 5.

House Operator

Reach rank 5 with either faction. Rank 5 is the rank named House Operator, so finishing the faction journey will get you there. Landsraad tasks only count toward ranks above 5. In single-player, the Landsraad is simulated and doesn't need a guild.

If you have finished every faction journey and are still at rank 4, relog.

The Great Convention Parts I and II

Part I begins once Searching for Answers is done. Enter any Hagga Basin tradepost and a cutscene plays, and The Call then shows under the Great Convention category of your journal. Part I runs through:

  • The Call
  • Called to a Count (Elara in Harko Village)
  • Proces-Verbal (Arrakeen)
  • Touch of Evil (Osten's Workshop in the northern Eastern Shield Wall; fast travel to Pinnacle Station is closest)
  • From the Ashes (Deep Desert sector B-5)
  • The Janusian Faithful
  • The Bloodline
  • Noctua's Return (ends when you enter a Hagga Basin tradepost)

Bring a handheld scanner. Part II then runs through eight steps, mostly arena tiers at Neo Carthag with an errand before each fight:

  1. Call to Arms: wait in any safe settlement for Elara's call, then meet her in the back room of Hannivar's bar in Harko Village.
  2. The Art of Kanly: reach the Neo Carthag Arena through the contact at Harko Village's North Terminus exit (it can't be reached from the Overland map), then beat Brute the Scrapper.
  3. Secrets of the Exile: recover a radiation core from near the Wreck of the Ourea in Sheol, then beat Aren the Exile.
  4. Breaking the Chains: scan for tracks in Deep Desert sector A9, follow them into Imperial Testing Station No. 217, take three crates of elacca, then beat the Master of Chains. The quest marker only appears when you scan.
  5. Extinguishing the Flames: capture a suboid in the Wreck of the Hephaestus (knock it out with the floodlight), then beat Thrax the Flamer.
  6. A Deadly Poison: capture an abomination in the Ruins of Old Carthag, then beat Sinnu the Poisoner.
  7. Outside the Law: fight through the Fallen Light gauntlet (its own Overland marker) and kill the Minotaur.
  8. Call of the Night: enter any Hagga Basin tradepost.

Carry a hand scanner, a cutteray and a Radiation Suit for Part II. You start each arena fight at whatever health you walk in with, so heal first. Neither Part I nor Part II has an achievement of its own, but both must be done before Part III opens.

The Great Convention Part III

Part III runs through five steps, and it is the longest single stretch in the game:

  1. Dangerous Allies: wait for Elara's call in a watersealed base. If you don't have one and no call comes, try Arrakeen or Harko Village. Then meet Esmar Tuek in Fallen Light, and fight through a smuggler base in a Deep Desert cave to find Staban Tuek.
  2. Prelude to a Journey: talk to Elara in Harko Village. The contract Cross My Palm With Spice asks for 25 Spice Melange delivered to any contract board, so keep 25 ready. Then meet the pilot at the Arrakeen Spaceport on the Overland map.
  3. The Tragedy of Zanovar: cross the ruins of Zanovar while avoiding patrol ship searchlights. Zanovar leads straight into Forty Fears, so repair your gear and restock healing and ammo before you accept the spaceport's long-mission prompt.
  4. Forty Fears: sneak through the cell block, prison hangar, training room and maintenance corridor without being detected. Move slowly and wait for patrols to turn, because many players fail here several times. After the dream sequences and the Awakening cinematic, fight your way to the escape pods.
  5. A Fall From Heaven: meet Stilgar.
  • If you quit, exit to the menu or disconnect while on Zanovar, you return to the Overland map with a prompt to travel to the Arrakeen Spaceport, and the Zanovar section restarts from its beginning. Your journey progress is kept. Set aside a full uninterrupted session for Zanovar and Forty Fears.
  • Story bosses show health bars and can't be damaged before their fight starts.
  • If the quick-time prompts in the Awakening cinematic don't register, they complete on their own after 30 seconds.
  • Don't suspend the console during the finale. Close the game properly afterward so the save completes.

Sardaukar Killer

Defeat Sardaukar Commander Aramsham in the duel at the end of Forty Fears. He is the Sardaukar Captain the achievement means, and his reward sword is internally named for that title. He uses a sword, a maula pistol, Knee Charge, Suspensor Blast and Inspiration. Nothing documents a way to replay Forty Fears, so treat this kill as your one chance on this character and take the duel slowly.

The achievement unlocks when he is defeated.

The Great Convention

This unlocks when you finish The Great Convention Part III, the end of Book One, after A Fall From Heaven.

CURRENTLY COMMUNITY-FLAGGED / BUGGY (PC/Steam, as of 2026-10-07): some Steam players report The Great Convention and Sardaukar Killer not unlocking after the finale, and relogging and reinstalling didn't help them. PS5 players have unlocked both, and achievement trackers show both unlocked on the Xbox network, though that may include the Xbox PC version. Console-specific reliability isn't confirmed, and no fix for the Steam reports has been announced. After A Fall From Heaven, check both on your Xbox profile before you move on. If they're missing, relog and visit a social hub. No confirmed fix exists beyond that.

Endgame Cleanup

The story is done, but your world stays open for the remaining grinds. This is where your Custom settings pay off. Raise harvest rates, lower crafting costs and speed up respawns for these.

Vehicles and Late-Game Machinery

Vehicle Master

Assemble and use one of each of these six vehicles:

  • Sandbike (Copper tier)
  • Buggy (Steel tier)
  • Scout Ornithopter (Aluminum tier)
  • Assault Ornithopter (Duraluminum tier)
  • Sandcrawler (Plastanium tier)
  • Carrier Ornithopter (Plastanium tier)

Any tier of each vehicle counts, and you only need one. Assembling parts that someone else crafted also counts. The Sandcrawler and Carrier Ornithopter are the expensive ones, and the Sandcrawler is the one people most often forget.

  • The Treadwheel from the Lost Harvest DLC isn't on the data-mined list, so you don't need it.
  • Avoid unique vehicle parts.

The achievement unlocks when you have used all six.

Ultimate Machinery

Place all nine of these in your base:

  • Advanced Weapons Fabricator
  • Advanced Survival Fabricator
  • Advanced Vehicle Fabricator
  • Advanced Garment Fabricator
  • Large Ore Refinery
  • Large Wind Turbine (listed in the game files as the directional Wind Turbine)
  • Spice-Powered Generator
  • Advanced Fremen Deathstill
  • Large Spice Refinery

The four advanced fabricators no longer cost Spice Melange, so this is cheaper than older guides suggest.

Build all nine in one base you own. Turn each one on and use it once.

If it doesn't unlock with all nine placed, run each machine, make sure the base is yours, and relog.

Weapons Manufacturer

Craft a Lasgun. Either the Arhun K-28 Lasgun or the Black Market K-28 Lasgun counts. Receiving one as a reward, or buying the finished weapon, doesn't count, so you need a schematic. Each Lasgun schematic is unique and gives exactly one craft, which is all you need.

The practical route is the Black Market K-28:

  1. Set Loot Respawn Speed (Custom settings, Harvesting category) as fast as it goes, so chests refill in minutes instead of the default. The slider direction isn't documented, so check that the respawn time actually drops.
  2. Pick one of the Overland dungeons whose final reward chest (an Ultra Rare Container) can drop the schematic: The Old Quarry (an abandoned quarry on the edge of the Polar Sink) or Imperial Testing Stations No. 24, 89, 136, 152 or 195. Choose whichever you clear most comfortably.
  3. Clear it, open the final chest, and keep cycling the chest as it respawns. Stand away from the chest when it respawns, because players report it can bug and refuse to open if you're on top of it.
  4. The schematic is a rare drop, so expect a long farm.
  5. When the schematic drops, read it to learn the recipe, then craft at an Advanced Weapons Fabricator. Budget roughly 90 Plastanium Ingots, 93 Spice Melange, 58 Cobalt Paste, 37 Mechanical Parts, 28 Plasteel Composite Gun Parts, 21 Spice-infused Plastanium Dust, 8 Thermo-Responsive Ray Amplifiers and 530 ml of water (lower with reduced crafting costs). Do this after your Ultimate Machinery and Vehicle Master Plastanium crafting, which share the same materials.

The Arhun K-28 schematic only drops in Deep Desert Imperial Testing Stations No. 37 and No. 185, and only in weeks when it is in the loot table, so don't plan around it. If you happen to get one, it is crafted at a regular Weapons Fabricator. No vendor is known to sell either schematic in single-player.

The achievement unlocks when you craft the Lasgun. Collect it from the fabricator and check your Xbox achievements. If it hasn't popped, relog.

Feels Like Home

Have all of these placed in one base at the same time:

  • 10 lights
  • 5 carpets
  • 5 ornaments
  • 20 furniture pieces

Buy decoration sets at tradeposts, Arrakeen or Harko Village. Some Tea House pieces count in other categories (the Baliset is decoration and the Tea Service is an ornament), so don't count those as furniture. Place a few extras of each type to be safe. Whether cosmetic DLC decorations count isn't confirmed.

If it doesn't unlock with everything placed, relog, visit Arrakeen or Harko Village, or take down and rebuild a few pieces.

Resource Grinds

Also finish any early counters that are still running: Thirst Quenched, Vampire, Reuse, Eco-Friendly, Deathstiller and The Divided Messiah, using the methods in their sections earlier in this guide.

Miner

Mine 10,000 units of each of these 12 resources with a handheld cutteray. Vehicle mining and harvesters don't count.

  • Granite Stone
  • Copper Ore
  • Iron Ore
  • Carbon Ore
  • Basalt Stone
  • Aluminum Ore
  • Jasmium Crystal
  • Erythrite Crystal
  • Titanium Ore
  • Stravidium Mass
  • Salvaged Metal
  • Fuel Cell

Titanium and Stravidium only come from the Deep Desert, and Jasmium doesn't appear there at all. There is no in-game counter, so keep a tally for each resource, or drop each resource into its own labeled storage chest.

  • Use the best cutteray you have and take the mining skill bonuses.
  • Raising the harvest rate in Custom settings is the biggest speed-up.
  • Funcom lists an issue where Fuel Cell nodes can be invisible. Keep mining at the node, because its resources can still be collected.
  • It does unlock once every resource reaches 10,000, even though it was long thought to be broken.

Water Shippers Hate Him

Dew reap 50,000 ml of water. Craft the best Dew Reaper you can, carry empty containers, and harvest dew from plants. Just before dawn is the best time, and shaded rocks and cliffs grow the most plants. A higher-tier reaper collects more per plant.

Combat Grinds

Each of these counts kills of one NPC group, adding up over all your sessions. There is no in-game counter for any of them. In single-player, lower enemy health and raise respawn rates to speed things up.

Safest route: farm each group in one map, because some counters have been reported to track the Deep Desert and Hagga Basin separately.

Scrappy

Kill 500 Scavengers. They are concentrated in Hagga Basin South.

Kirab Killer

Kill 500 Kirab. Their camps are mostly in Eastern and Western Vermillius Gap.

Slaver Slayer

Kill 500 Slavers. They hold most of the Jabal Eifrit regions, including the Hand of Khidr.

Desertion Equals Death

Kill 500 Deserters. Their camps are mostly in caves and underground areas across Hagga Basin.

Strike Breaker

Kill 500 Sandflies. They are concentrated along the Eastern and Western Shield Wall.

Heretic Hunter

Kill 500 Maas Kharet. They hold The O'odham and Mysa Tarill, and some Deep Desert testing stations.

Master Assassin

Kill 500 NPC troops belonging to your rival House: Harkonnen troops if you joined the Atreides, Atreides troops if you joined the Harkonnen. Whether your own House's troops count isn't confirmed, so farm only the rival House. You don't need to kill other players.

  • If you are Harkonnen, farm Atreides troops: The Aegis and the Passage of Artemis, in the Western Shield Wall.
  • If you are Atreides, farm Harkonnen troops: The Edge of Acheron in northern Sheol, and The Beast's Claw in eastern Mysa Tarill.

In multiplayer these outposts restock roughly once a day, which makes this the slowest grind. Faster respawn settings in single-player should help, though single-player respawn timing isn't confirmed. Start on it as soon as you finish the story.

Boss Rusher

Kill 50 boss enemies. Any unique named enemy counts, which usually means one worth noticeably more XP than the rest of its camp. Reported farm spots:

  • the boss on the landing pad at Khidr's Shadow
  • the Bene Gesserit-trained melee enemy inside Mysa Tarill (take the ID band from the altar first)
  • the bosses in Imperial Testing Stations No. 2 and No. 76

Rotate several spots in case a boss doesn't respawn.

Own Medicine

Kill 50 marksmen with a Spitdart Rifle. Marksmen are the sniper-type enemies, the ones that drop range finders.

  • Use a standard JABAL Spitdart (any tier, such as Adept or Artisan). The unique Thufir's Best has been reported not to count.
  • Kill with direct hits, because poison kills may not count.
  • The bunkers with floating watchtowers in upper Hagga Rift are a reported farm spot.

Second Chance

Finish your 100 revives. The quickest solo method is to go down and revive yourself again and again in a safe place. A reported spot is the electrical hazard at the start of Imperial Testing Station No. 152, but any repeatable hazard that downs you with no enemies nearby works the same way. Make sure you hold revive before the downed timer runs out.

Multiplayer Visit

Two achievements need a multiplayer character. From the main menu's Characters tab, choose Multiplayer, pick an official Xbox world, and create a new character. Multiplayer characters are separate from your single-player character and don't affect it, and characters can't move between the two modes. Online multiplayer on Xbox needs Game Pass Essential (formerly Core) or Ultimate. You can do this at any point, including before the main route if you'd rather get it out of the way. As of 2026-10-07, Xbox shares servers only with the Xbox PC version, and cross-play with Steam and PS5 has been announced for later.

Trader and Strength In Numbers

Trader

Complete a trade with another player. Single-player can't do this. Go to Arrakeen or Harko Village, where most players gather, ask in chat for a quick trade, and swap any item. Giving or receiving both count.

Reaching a social hub on a new character means playing into Hagga Basin and paying the taxi, or meeting players at a busy tradepost such as Griffin's Reach instead.

Strength In Numbers

Join or create a guild. A guild of one is allowed in multiplayer, though creating one costs Solari. Joining a player's guild is the cheapest route if someone invites you while you're trading. It isn't confirmed whether guilds are available in single-player, which is why this is on the multiplayer character. Check your single-player character's guild menu first. If you can create or join a guild there, do it, and the multiplayer visit only needs Trader.

If you accepted the vision offer on your main character, also earn Lisan al-Gaib here. Play this character through Across the Gap, then follow the Lisan al-Gaib section. Sandworms are always on in multiplayer.
