Before You Start

Full Throttle Remastered has 40 achievements worth 1,000 Gamerscore on Xbox. This guide covers the Xbox Game Studios release from October 2020. It's an Xbox Play Anywhere title, so Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S (through backward compatibility) and Windows share one achievement list and one set of cloud saves. There is no DLC. The 2017 Steam and PlayStation lists use the same names but are separate lists.

  • Online / co-op: none.
  • Unobtainable / discontinued: none known as of October 2026.
  • Playthroughs: one. Every achievement fits into a single run if you follow the order below.
  • Hidden list: every achievement except Full Throttle is secret on Xbox, so most won't show up until they unlock.
  • Missables: 16 of the 40 achievements. They're optional conversations, photos and gags in areas you leave for good, the bunny you need to keep for the finale, and four cutscenes that award achievements. Each one is flagged in the route before you can lose it.
  • Hardest achievement: Burger Well Done. You have to get through the timed finale without Ben dying. It's short and fully scripted, so a manual save just before it makes it easy.

Saves and Cutscenes

  • Don't skip cutscenes or the credits. One Final Offer..., Unnatural Causes, What A Pain Threshold! and Thank No Cats all come from scenes you can skip, and skipping them loses the achievement. Skipping a scene after its achievement has unlocked is fine. Unnatural Causes, What A Pain Threshold! and Full Throttle have also been reported to fail to unlock occasionally, so each one has a save-and-replay fix at the point it happens.
  • Make manual saves. The game autosaves at major story points, and you can also save manually from the menu. No chapter select has been confirmed for this remaster, so a manual save is the only way to get a missed moment back without starting over. Save at each point the route tells you to. Keep the older saves too, in case you have to go back further than one step.
  • An autosave has been reported not to fire during the Old Mine Road fights. Make your manual save before you head onto the Mine Road.
  • None of the achievements depend on the graphics mode, developer commentary or the bonus galleries. Switch between classic and remastered graphics whenever you like.

Point-of-No-Return Checklist

You can't go back to an area once the story moves you on, so finish the items in each list before you take the step that ends it:

  • Before you ride out of Melonweed with the upgraded bike: Know Mo, Minking Memories, Angels with Dirty Faces.
  • Before you use the Fake ID on Emmet: News to Me, I Can Do That.
  • Before you leave Mo's bedroom at the Mink Ranch: Hard Tale. Save when you arrive at the ranch.
  • Before you jump Poyahoga Gorge: Torque Talk, A Fistful of Fertilizer.
  • Before the final move across the minefield: check that you still have at least one loose bunny, for Rabbit Ragu.
  • Before the finale: a fresh manual save, for Burger Well Done, Rabbit Ragu and LOOMing Seagull.

Part 1: The Kickstand and the Highway

The Alley Behind the Kickstand

One Final Offer...

This is the opening cutscene, where Ripburger makes Ben an offer in the Kickstand. Let the whole scene play and the achievement unlocks on its own. Don't skip it.

Burn-In Rubber

When you wake up in the dumpster, put the controller down and leave it alone for about 2 to 3 minutes. A screensaver with 3D vehicles starts, and the achievement unlocks when it does. Don't pause or open a menu while you wait. If your Xbox dims the screen first and nothing happens, turn up the console's screen-dimming delay for this step. If you forget, the same thing works on any later scene where you're in control. Once it's unlocked, open the dumpster's right lid to climb out.

Not Puttin' My Lips on That

Required: use the mouth (lips) verb on 10 different objects that make Ben refuse with "I'm not putting my lips on that" or similar. Using it on the same object again doesn't count, and objects that get a different response don't count either. These targets give the refusal. In the alley: the dumpster, each of the two piles of boxes, the window, the door, the bike and each of the two signs. That's eight. Inside the Kickstand: the monitor, the bottles, the cash register, a picture, the piano, the mounted badger and the antlers. Ten different ones from this list are enough, and the rest are spares. Using it on a person just starts a conversation and doesn't count. If it hasn't unlocked by the time you leave the bar, keep trying new objects in Melonweed.

Inside the Kickstand

Kick the bar door to get back in.

Ring Pull

Use the hand/fist on the bartender, Quohog, to pull his nose ring. He hands over Ben's keys and the achievement unlocks.

The Highway

A-Number One Polecat Honcho

Riding out starts the first road fight against a Rottwheeler. It's a simple tutorial fight: keep attacking until he goes down. Don't skip it, because the achievement unlocks for winning this fight. A crash cutscene follows, and Ben wakes up in Melonweed.

Part 2: Melonweed

Mo's Garage

Mo needs three things before she can fix the bike: a torch, gas and front forks. The torch, gas and forks can be done in any order. This guide does them in the usual order, torch, gas, forks, because the lockpick from Todd's trailer opens the gas tower.

Missable: Know Mo, Minking Memories and Angels with Dirty Faces can't be done once you ride out of Melonweed at the end of this part. Make a manual save before you talk to Mo.

Know Mo

Required: go through every dialogue option in your first conversation with Mo before you pick the bottom option that ends it. If an option opens new lines, go through those too. The achievement unlocks once her first conversation is fully exhausted. If every topic is used up and it still hasn't unlocked, keep picking "How's it looking?" until it does. If you end the conversation early, reload your save.

Minking Memories

Look at the photos on the garage wall. The one you need is the picture of Uncle Pete. Look at every photo on the wall until the achievement unlocks. Pick up the gas can and hose from the floor while you're here.

Todd's Trailer

Make a manual save before you touch Todd's door. The talking achievement has a history of not unlocking, and once you kick the door you can't try it again.

Angels with Dirty Faces

Required: knock on the trailer door with the hand to bring Todd up from his basement, then keep talking to him through the door with the mouth verb. Don't kick the door and don't skip any of his lines. It takes a long exchange, roughly a dozen or more of Ben's lines, and the achievement usually unlocks right after Ben offers to sell Todd "fine leather jackets". If the conversation lapses and Todd goes back downstairs, knock again and carry on talking.

HISTORICALLY REPORTED BUG: this has sometimes failed to unlock even when done correctly. If it hasn't unlocked a few lines past the fine leather jackets offer, reload the save you made at the door and do the whole conversation again, slowly, without skipping lines.

Trailer Trashed

Once Angels with Dirty Faces has unlocked, kick the door in. Kicking ends the conversation with Todd, so this always comes second.

Carry the Torch

Inside, take the lockpick from the cabinet and the steak from the fridge. Ride the lift down to Todd's basement and take the welding torch. The achievement unlocks when you pick it up.

The Gas Tower

Not So Tough After All

Use the lockpick on the gas tower's gate lock. The achievement unlocks when the lock opens. Take the padlock with you, because you need it at the junkyard.

Annoyed Floyd

Touch the tower ladder to set off the alarm, then hide behind the big tank straight away, before the police hovercraft lands. You only have a moment, so be quick. The achievement unlocks when Ben hides from Floyd.

OK, I'll Put My Lips on That

With Floyd parked, use the hose on the hovercraft's gas cap, use the gas can on the hose, then use the mouth on the hose to siphon. This one is the opposite of Not Puttin' My Lips on That, and it doesn't count toward the 10 objects.

Todd's Junkyard

Right in the Junk

Put the padlock on the gate latch, climb the chain, and drop the steak into the car under the magnet. Go up to the crane and use the magnet to lift the car with the dog in it. Then take the forks from the pile. The achievement unlocks when Ben picks up the forks.

Leaving Melonweed

Take the forks back to Mo and she upgrades the bike. Before you ride out, make sure Know Mo, Minking Memories and Angels with Dirty Faces have all unlocked.

Make a manual save now, before you touch the gas tower ladder a second time. Touching it sets off the alarm, which draws the police away from their roadblock so Ben can ride out of town. That leads straight into the cutscenes with Malcolm Corley's death, which award Unnatural Causes. This is also the point of no return for Melonweed.

Touch the gas tower ladder again, then ride out of town.

Unnatural Causes

The cutscenes after you leave town include Malcolm Corley's last words. Let them play in full. The achievement unlocks during the scene, and skipping it loses the achievement. Check that it unlocked before you carry on.

CURRENTLY COMMUNITY-FLAGGED / BUGGY: this has been reported to not unlock even when the scene plays out. If it doesn't unlock, reload the save you made before touching the ladder the second time and let the scenes play again without pressing anything.

Part 3: Back at the Kickstand

The Second Visit

After the cutscenes, search the debris at Mo's garage for the photo of the Mink Ranch, then ride to the Kickstand.

Missable: News to Me and I Can Do That are only available on this visit. Once you use the Fake ID on Emmet, you leave in his truck and can't come back. Make a manual save when you arrive.

A New Hope

Miranda is hiding in the dumpster outside the bar. Talk to her and she gives Ben the Fake ID. Hold on to it until both bar achievements below have unlocked.

News to Me

Inside, look at the TV and keep looking. It takes about four looks. Keep using the look verb on the TV until the whole news broadcast has played, ending with Ripburger. The achievement unlocks at the end of the broadcast.

I Can Do That

Talk to Emmet about his knife game. Pick "I can do that" and then keep insisting he let you try. It usually takes around 10 asks before he gives in. Once he agrees, the five finger fillet game starts, and the achievement unlocks as soon as it does. You don't need to win. Leave with the exit arrow at the bottom of the screen if there is one. If you can't get out, reload the save you made when you arrived at the Kickstand. Achievements you've already unlocked stay unlocked.

Now use the Fake ID on Emmet and ride out with him.

Part 4: Mink Ranch and the Old Mine Road

Mink Ranch

Missable: Hard Tale has to be done in Mo's bedroom before the scene where Mo leaves the ranch. Make a manual save as soon as you arrive at the ranch.

Hard Tale

Do this before you touch the pillow, the tire iron or the chest. The one you need is the upper photograph on the left wall of Mo's bedroom, showing Maureen and Malcolm fixing the hard tail. If it doesn't unlock, look at the other pictures too.

Hosed

Take the tire iron from under the pillow and use it to open the chest. Take the hose from the chest. The achievement unlocks when Ben picks up the hose. Mo leaves in a cutscene after this, and you lose Emmet's truck and the bridge.

The Dust Spill

Fertilized

Use the tire iron on the wheels of Emmet's wrecked semitrailer, then push or kick the trailer over so the fertilizer spills across the road. Take some fertilizer, because you need it on the Mine Road. Ride up toward the gorge, then ride back toward the ranch. Nestor and Bolus chase Ben through the spill and spin out in the dust. The achievement unlocks when they crash, or right after at the gorge.

Next, use the tire iron on the back of their wrecked hovercraft to take the hover lift unit. Then use it on Ben's bike to install it. It's one of the three things the gorge jump needs, along with the booster fuel and the ramp.

Old Mine Road

Make a manual save before you head onto the Mine Road. The road fights are random. You keep riding until the biker you need shows up, and you can skip a biker you don't want with the skip button. A lost fight just puts you back on the road.

The weapons come in a fixed order, and each one beats the next biker:

  1. Fists beat the bald Rottwheeler with the forehead tattoo (he drops the mace) and the Vulture with glasses and a red shirt (he drops the chain). The tire iron is also reported to work on the chain Vulture.
  2. The chain beats the Vulture with glasses and a tan shirt. Wrap him before he boosts away and you get the booster fuel, which you need for the gorge jump. The first time you meet him he just talks and rides off. Use the chain on him on a later meeting.
  3. The fertilizer beats the Vulture woman with the red mohawk, who carries the chainsaw. See A Fistful of Fertilizer below.
  4. The chainsaw beats the Rottwheeler with the 2x4 plank. The mace also works, but it's harder.
  5. The plank beats a Cavefish on a yellow bike, if you hit him when he raises his head. He drops the goggles.
Don't hit a Cavefish with the chainsaw. It wrecks his bike and you don't get the goggles. Use only the plank on Cavefish.

Torque Talk

Father Torque shows up early on the Mine Road. Go through every one of his dialogue options, leaving the bottom exit option until last. The achievement unlocks once his wisdom is used up. Do this before you take the cave exit, since that's the efficient order. The Mine Road can still be revisited after the cave, but not after the gorge jump.

A Fistful of Fertilizer

When the red-mohawk Vulture woman with the chainsaw rides up, use the fertilizer on her. The fertilizer only works on her. The achievement unlocks when you win the chainsaw this way. It's optional for the story, but it's also the easiest way to get the chainsaw, and the chainsaw is the easiest way to get the plank. Do it before you leave the Mine Road.

Gogglor

Once you have the goggles, put them on and ride along the Mine Road. Just past the first junction, the main highway crossing, the exit sign changes to read Cave. Take that exit. The achievement unlocks when you use the goggles to find the Cavefish lair.

The Cavefish Lair and the Gorge

The Spirit of Ricky Myran

In the lair, use the ramp twice: once to take it, then again to attach it to the bike. Ride back one screen, get off the bike, and use the ramp at the bend in the road to knock off the road reflectors. With the reflectors gone, the Cavefish chasing you ride straight off the cliff. The achievement unlocks after the escape, once Ben is back at the gorge with the ramp set up.

Pure Evel

The jump needs the ramp, the booster fuel and the hover lift unit. This is the point of no return for the Mine Road, so make sure Torque Talk and A Fistful of Fertilizer have unlocked first. If they haven't, go back and ride the Mine Road before you jump. To jump, get on the bike and pick the gorge/ramp marker. Using the sign and plaque at the gorge also starts it. Let the jump scene play. The achievement unlocks on the jump, and you lose the Mine Road weapons afterwards.

Part 5: Corley Motors

Horrace's Stand and the Minefield

The bunny steps below all happen in one order, and you need to keep a bunny alive through them.

Pull a Fast One

At Horrace's souvenir stand, play with the RC car controls until its batteries run out. Then look at the T-shirts and souvenirs, or ask Horrace about them. While he turns away to deal with that, take the loose toy bunny from the counter. Take the bunny to the minefield in front of the Vultures' hideout and send it out to set off a mine. Then take the battery left in the field. The achievement unlocks when Ben picks up the battery.

Invasion of the Bunny Snatcher

Back at the stand, put the battery in the RC car and drive it through the turnstile to keep Horrace busy. Then take the whole box of bunnies. The achievement unlocks when you take the box.

Make a manual save before you go back to the minefield. This save protects Rabbit Ragu.

Hare Trigger

Missable: you need at least one loose bunny left over for Rabbit Ragu in the finale. Reaching the hideout entrance starts the capture scene and takes control away, so check your inventory before the final move through the minefield. If you have no spare, don't finish the crossing yet. Reload the save from before the minefield and cross again using fewer bunnies. Going back to the stand for another box once it's empty and Horrace is away may also work, but it doesn't show up in every save, and the minefield may reset when you return. Feeding the whole box into the fan later doesn't count, so the leftover has to be a single bunny.

Use the bunnies to clear a path through the minefield. The box is labelled with a larger number, but releasing it gives you eight loose bunnies to pick up. When you release them, pick up the loose bunnies straight away. Then send them out one at a time, moving up the cleared path after each one. Walk as far as the cleared path lets you each time before you send out the next bunny. When only the last stretch to the hideout entrance is left, confirm you still have a spare loose bunny, then finish the crossing. The achievement unlocks when Ben gets through the minefield.

Windows only: Double Fine documents a crash after the minefield on some Windows PCs, particularly with AMD graphics cards. If it happens, set Art to Classic and Remastered Controls to Off, and try windowed mode if needed. That workaround isn't guaranteed. Don't load a save from after the crash point to get past it, because you could skip the achievements earned in that part. If the settings don't fix it, keep your save and try the section on another compatible system if you have one. This isn't an achievement bug, and it isn't documented on Xbox consoles.

The Vultures' Hideout

Taut a Lesson

Ben gets captured and tied up. Talk your way out by picking "Let me go, or else...", then "I'll call you names!", then "Diapered Dynamo!". The achievement unlocks when he talks his way free.

The Demolition Derby

What A Pain Threshold!

This is the trickiest action section in the game. It starts after the Vultures' dialogue and some cutscenes. Manual saving may not be available during action sequences, so your save from before the minefield is the guaranteed fallback. If the menu does let you save once you get control inside the derby, make an extra save there. Use the ramps to bounce cars around:

  1. Jump the left ramp onto the orange/brown car and push it down to the bottom right.
  2. Push it over the right ramp, then drive up the ramp and land on it to bounce onto Nestor and Bolus's blue car, which stalls it.
  3. Steer Ben left toward the stands and keep sending him into the "Can't Beat a Corley" banner on the left stands until the fire spreads. It won't happen unless you keep doing it.
  4. Climb onto the brown car, hop across to the blue car, and run into the fire as the blue car goes past.

The achievement unlocks at the end of the scene where the Boom Boom Bros go boom. Don't skip that scene, and check that it unlocked before you carry on.

CURRENTLY COMMUNITY-FLAGGED / BUGGY: this has been reported to not unlock even when the scene plays out. If it doesn't unlock, reload your derby save if you were able to make one, or your save from before the minefield, and play through to the end of the derby again.

The Factory

Back at the hideout, look at Mo's dismantled bike parts before you ride to the factory. They carry the safe code you need, 154492.

Wisecrack

Go to the factory's side wall and wait until all four meters stop spinning. Then kick the crack in the wall, the marked stone just above the sewer lid. If nothing happens, wait for the meters to stop again and kick again. The achievement unlocks when the secret passage opens.

Inside Corley's office, open the floor safe with 154492 and press the button. You get Corley's will, which is a recording, and a keycard.

Burger Melt

Use the keycard on the reader for the projector room. Pull the motor lever down once, then push the lamp lever up twice, quickly. The film melts and the achievement unlocks.

In the media room, put the murder photos Mo gave you after the derby on the easel, or play Malcolm's will recording on the reel-to-reel player. Either one starts the presentation. Ripburger is exposed and runs off.

Part 6: The Finale

Ripburger's Truck

Make a manual save as soon as the highway finale starts, with Ben on the front of Ripburger's truck. This sequence is timed and Ben can die in it. If he dies, the game restarts you from the truck's hood, but that still counts as a death for Burger Well Done. Reload this save and try again.

Burger Well Done

Required: get through the whole finale, from the truck's hood to the final menu choice, without Ben dying even once. Only deaths in this sequence are known to count. Losing a Mine Road fight earlier doesn't matter. Work through each step below straight away. The achievement unlocks when you choose System OFF at the end of a clean run, at the same moment as Can't Beat a Corley. Anything that happens after that doesn't matter. If Ben dies at any point, reload the save you made above.

Rabbit Ragu

On the truck's hood, open the grill with the hand. Before anything else, use a single bunny on the engine fan. The achievement unlocks when the bunny gets diced. Then use the hand on the panel above the grill. Ripburger leans out with his cane to close it. Grab the cane and jam it into the fan.

Now Boarding

Ben climbs through and ends up behind the truck. Use the tire iron on the far-right fuel line. The nut is small and easy to miss. The Vultures' plane swallows the truck and the achievement unlocks.

The Plane and the Gorge

Use the ladder to climb up to the cockpit. Ripburger shoots at Ben while he's at the ladder. Don't do anything else while he's firing, and grab the ladder again after each shot until Ben climbs into the cockpit. Whenever the game prompts you to get into the plane, do it immediately, because that window only lasts a few seconds. On the middle panel choose Take off, Post take-off, Gear, then Raise gear. The plane stops over the gorge with the truck hanging out of it.

LOOMing Seagull

Climb into the truck cab and press the button under the middle screen. Go to Main Menu > Defense Menu > Machine Guns > Control > Fire. The guns fire and kill the seagull, and the achievement unlocks. This doesn't end the sequence and doesn't count as a death, so go straight on to the next step.

Can't Beat a Corley

Go back into the cab and take the same menu path, but this time choose System OFF. Ripburger goes down into the gorge and the achievement unlocks, along with Burger Well Done if Ben hasn't died. If Burger Well Done doesn't unlock here, reload the save from the start of the finale and do it again. Rabbit Ragu, LOOMing Seagull and this achievement will all be done again on the way.

The Credits

After Ripburger falls, go back into the plane, walk left to the motorcycle and use it to get on the bike. The ending follows: Corley's funeral and Ben riding off.

Thank No Cats

Don't skip the credits. Let them play to the very end, where bunnies take over the screen. The achievement unlocks there. As a precaution, make sure the console doesn't go to sleep while they roll, and let them finish. If it doesn't unlock, reload your finale save and play the ending again.

Full Throttle

This unlocks once you have the other 39.

CURRENTLY COMMUNITY-FLAGGED / BUGGY: this has been reported to not unlock even with all 39 others earned. Reported fixes, in order: reload your most recent save. If that doesn't work, fully quit and relaunch the game, then reload again. As a last resort, start a new game, which can trigger the pending unlock without another full playthrough.

If an achievement is still missing after the credits, find it below and reload the matching save:

  • Melonweed save: Know Mo, Minking Memories, Angels with Dirty Faces.
  • Save before the second gas tower ladder touch: Unnatural Causes.
  • Kickstand second-visit save: News to Me, I Can Do That.
  • Mine Road save: Torque Talk, A Fistful of Fertilizer.
  • Mink Ranch save: Hard Tale.
  • Minefield save: Rabbit Ragu.
  • Derby save, if the menu allowed one, or your save from before the minefield: What A Pain Threshold!
  • Finale save: Burger Well Done, LOOMing Seagull, Thank No Cats.
  • Burn-In Rubber and Not Puttin' My Lips on That can be finished on any save where you're in control.
