▶Completion Plan
▶Completion Status and Strategy
Ghostwire: Tokyo has 66 Xbox achievements worth 1,180 Gamerscore. The base list is 56 achievements for 1,000G, and the free Spider's Thread title update adds 10 achievements for 180G. The Xbox Series X|S and Windows Xbox versions share this Xbox Play Anywhere achievement list.
As of 2026-09-20, all 66 achievements are obtainable. Nothing requires online multiplayer, co-op, a live server, or another player. There are no difficulty achievements, so use the difficulty that makes the completion comfortable.
The practical minimum is one campaign playthrough plus the separate Spider's Thread mode. The campaign has a point of no return at the end of Chapter 4 when you ride the repaired motorcycle in The Black Tower, but completing the story creates a cleared save that returns you to the city before that choice. This means there are no true permanent campaign missables. The route below still finishes the important cleanup before the motorcycle so you do not have to replay Chapters 5 and 6 for Hero of Shibuya.
Your main campaign target is 240,300 transferred spirits. The Spider's Thread update added additional spirits to the world, so the current map contains more than the amount required for 100%. You do not need every spirit currently present. The important distinction is transferred spirits, not spirits merely absorbed into katashiro.
▶Campaign Habits
Cleanse torii gates as soon as the story makes them practical. Each gate removes fog and opens another useful chunk of Shibuya. When you finish a story window, sweep the newly available shrine regions rather than trying to clear the entire map too early.
Use these habits from Chapter 2 onward:
- Transfer spirits whenever your katashiro fill. Do not leave large amounts sitting untransferred.
- Buy katashiro aggressively until you own the maximum 50. This makes every spirit sweep and random event more efficient.
- At each newly opened shrine region, complete available side missions, rescue nearby spirits, pray at Jizo statues, find tanuki, pick up relics, investigate KK notes and voice logs, and reveal landmarks that are naturally on your route.
- Turn relics in to the requested Relic-Hunting Nekomata regularly. Their reward tracks feed music, outfits, prayer beads, meika, and other completion requirements.
- Buy or pick up every food or drink type you have not owned before. Gourmand is based on acquisition, not keeping everything in your inventory at once.
- Use offering boxes during normal exploration. The 500-meika wishes help reveal Jizo statues or tanuki, and larger Hyakki Yako offerings can accelerate Pious while also helping the spirit total.
- Prioritize every three-cube Containment Cube event you see. These events provide spirits and are excellent for Quick Purges, bow kills, headshots, talisman kills, and core extractions.
- Use Quick Purge whenever an enemy can be safely taken from stealth. Silent Kill requires 200 and is much less annoying if you start immediately.
- Do not obsess over every rooftop spirit in Chapter 2. Chapter 4 is the efficient full cleanup window because your traversal, Spectral Vision range, prayer beads, and grapple options are much better.
▶Chapter 1: Beginnings
▶The Vanishing and City of Shadows
Chapter 1 is linear. Follow the story and use the combat tutorials rather than searching for collectibles that are not yet part of the open-world loop.
▶Heartbreaker
Heartbreaker15G
Damage a Visitor until its core is exposed, then pull the core out. The achievement unlocks when the core extraction kills the Visitor. The opening combat tutorials make this nearly automatic, and you will perform the same action constantly throughout the game.
▶Beginnings
Beginnings15G
Complete Chapter 1. The achievement unlocks at the chapter transition after City of Shadows.
▶Chapter 2: Trouble
▶KK and Clearing the Fog
▶Collectibles · 5 5 collectibles
I Just Wanted to Say "Plan B" — On top of the first payphone in the Chapter 2 KK mission's spirit-transfer tutorial, near Akisawa Shrine.
The Sewer Kid — Inside KK's Safehouse on cardboard boxes under the calendar outside the kitchen, during the Chapter 2 KK mission.
Have You Seen Any Visitors? — Payphone booth outside KK's Safehouse, Chapter 2.
On the Use of Meika — Payphone booth just north of Namita Shrine, beside vending machines; drop off the shrine roof to reach it.
File #088 — Laptop beside the main building of the rooftop Namita Shrine, on the left near the roof edge.
Chapter 2 is where the real completion route begins. Once KK, Spectral Vision, spirit absorption, payphones, shops, side missions, and the first open districts are available, start building progress instead of rushing the main objective.
Voice logs are never marked on the map and have no detector, so pick up the early ones by landmark as you pass them:
- I Just Wanted to Say "Plan B": during the KK mission's spirit-transfer tutorial, the recorder sits on top of the first payphone unit you use, not on the shelf below it.
- The Sewer Kid (KK Investigation Note): inside KK's Safehouse, on a stack of cardboard boxes under the calendar just outside the kitchen.
- Have You Seen Any Visitors?: in the payphone booth outside KK's Safehouse.
- On the Use of Meika: in the payphone booth just north of Namita Shrine, beside vending machines. Fast travel to Namita Shrine, turn around, and drop off the roof to land next to it.
- File #088: an open laptop beside the main building of the rooftop Namita Shrine, on the left near the roof edge.
▶Amateur Photographer
Once Photo Mode is available, open it once and return to the game. No picture needs to be saved. The achievement triggers on using Photo Mode for the first time.
▶Opening a Path
Cleanse the first torii gate required by the story. The achievement unlocks as soon as the cleanse completes. From this point onward, treat every newly available gate as a map-expansion objective.
▶Animal Lover
Animal Lover10G
Approach a dog or cat and use the pet interaction. The achievement unlocks after the petting animation. Dogs are common once the city opens, so do this the first time the game gives you a quiet street.
▶Treasure Hunter
Pick up your first relic. Relics glow under Spectral Vision and many sit directly along early routes. After this first one, begin turning relics in to the matching Relic-Hunting Nekomata instead of hoarding them.
▶Roadside Spirituality
Pray at any Jizo statue. These permanently increase ammunition capacity for one of your Ethereal Weaving elements, so there is no reason to leave a statue untouched when you find it.
▶Echoes of the Past
Collect any voice log. The first one, at the KK tutorial payphone, unlocks this. Keep collecting every one you pass. There are 17, the last is only available at the start of Chapter 5, and the in-game Database is the only tracker, so this is a long-running collectible rather than an early cleanup target.
▶Problem Solver
Complete any side mission. Side missions are important to the completion because they award spirits, magatama, outfits, and access to other activities, so start doing the ones inside each newly cleared shrine region as they appear.
▶It's All Thanks to Yokai
Complete a yokai encounter and acquire your first magatama. Yokai side missions begin opening during Chapter 2. Magatama are permanent upgrade currency used to unlock higher skill tiers; spending them does not erase achievement progress.
▶Boundless Spirit
Raise your katashiro capacity to the maximum of 50. Convenience stores sell additional katashiro for 3,000 meika each, and some are also awarded elsewhere. Buying them early is the efficient route because you need to spend 1,000,000 meika eventually and the extra carrying capacity reduces payphone trips for the rest of the game.
▶Welcome to Shibuya
Acquire one SHIBUYA♡HACHI stamp. The update added these graffiti collectibles around Shibuya. One can be collected during Chapter 2 near the street-market area north of Shiroyama Shrine: use Spectral Vision around the notice boards near the Nekomata market stalls and interact with the glowing SHIBUYA♡HACHI design. The achievement unlocks on acquiring the first qualifying stamp.
▶Figure Aficionado
Capsule machines were added by the update and can be found around the city, including in front of KK's Safehouse. Make 50 capsule pulls in total. They do not need to produce 50 unique figures. Each pull costs 500 meika, so the full requirement costs 25,000 meika. Every machine has a limited stock and eventually sells out, so you will need more than one machine; other machines are at the garage fast-travel point, near the Utagawa gate area, and later inside the school. The capsule machines inside The Spider's Thread mode use a different currency and do not count. Start spending whenever you pass a machine, since every pull also contributes to Big Spender.
▶A Maze of Death and the Early City Sweep
A Maze of Death opens more shrines, adds Fire and Water Weaving, and unlocks more side missions and yokai. Follow the story until the game has shown you the new combat and traversal tools, then clear the side content in the regions you can now access.
Do not attempt a full-map collectible sweep yet. The goal in this window is to establish all the long cumulative achievements while completing nearby side missions and gates.
▶Helping Hand
Helping Hand15G
Transfer 25% of the required city spirits. The achievement triggers when the transferred total crosses the threshold, not when spirits are merely stored in katashiro. With 50 katashiro and regular payphone stops, this should arrive naturally during Chapter 2 exploration.
▶Pious
Pious15G
Put a cumulative 10,000 meika into offering boxes. During normal exploration, choose the 500-meika option whenever it is useful for revealing Jizo statues or tanuki. When a 5,000-meika Hyakki Yako wish is offered, it is also an efficient contribution because the resulting parade can provide more spirits. The achievement unlocks when total offerings reach 10,000 meika.
▶Don't Worry About It
Pull a Daikyo fortune from an omikuji box. Omikuji boxes are at the major shrines, including Shiroyama, Hirokawa, Kirigaoka, and Onten, and each pull costs 200 meika. The result is RNG, Daikyo is rare, and the number of attempts varies widely between players.
The low-cost route is to make a manual save directly in front of an omikuji box, pay for a pull, and reload that save whenever the result is not Daikyo. Reloading rerolls the result. Repeat until Daikyo appears. This is a current working Xbox method and avoids wasting large amounts of meika. The achievement unlocks immediately when the Daikyo result is drawn.
▶Lonely Tsukimi
At night, find a clear rooftop or street view of the moon and keep the camera aimed at it for at least 30 seconds. Do not move the view away during the timer. The achievement unlocks once the continuous viewing time is met.
▶Sniper
Sniper15G
Use the bow to kill a Visitor with a headshot from at least 40 meters away. An unaware Rain Walker on a long street is ideal. Back away until you clearly have more than enough distance, fully draw the bow, and aim for the head. This can also progress Take a Bow and Go For the Eyes.
▶Take a Bow
Take a Bow15G
Kill 50 Visitors with the bow in total. Use the bow heavily during Chapter 2 and Chapter 3 street encounters, especially against enemies distracted by Containment Cubes. Headshots should be your default so the same kills also work toward Go For the Eyes.
▶Go For the Eyes
Kill 20 Visitors with headshots. Bow headshots are the most controlled route. The achievement is cumulative, so there is no need to farm all 20 at once.
▶Silent Kill
Silent Kill15G
Defeat 200 Visitors with Quick Purge. Begin this grind now and keep it running for the entire campaign. Crouch behind isolated Visitors, use rooftops to approach from above, and exploit Containment Cube battles because enemies focus on the cubes and are often easy to purge from behind.
Do not leave all 200 for post-game. If you Quick Purge routinely while clearing side content, a large part of the requirement disappears into normal play.
▶Soul Breaker
Soul Breaker15G
Defeat 50 Visitors by pulling out their cores. Charged Ethereal Weaving, Wire In, and Exposure Talismans all create opportunities. Whenever several enemies are in combat, expose and pull cores instead of simply finishing them with ordinary damage.
▶Master of Blocking
Perform 30 Perfect Blocks cumulatively. Use an ordinary Rain Walker or another predictable melee Visitor and deliberately practice the timing rather than waiting for this to happen naturally. The achievement unlocks on the thirtieth successful Perfect Block.
▶A Shrubbery!
A Shrubbery!15G
After Thicket Talismans become available from KK's safehouse and shops, use one behind an unaware weak Visitor, crouch inside the created bushes, and perform a Quick Purge while you remain hidden in the thicket. Repeat for three Visitors.
Safest route: do these one at a time against unaware street enemies. If you lunge far enough out of the bush during the purge, the kill may fail to count, so stay centered in the thicket and retry if necessary.
▶The Buried Life and The Caves of Steel
▶Collectibles · 2 2 collectibles
The Turbo Student — Shibuya Underground arcade in the lower alley, on a red stool by a game cabinet (Chapter 2, The Buried Life).
File #178 — Shibuya Underground: side room off the cistern pump room, through the open door on the second level from the bottom. Best taken during The Buried Life (Chapter 2).
Continue through the Shibuya Underground and the rest of Chapter 2. Collect spirits and relics on the route, but do not worry about permanently clearing the underground yet; it remains part of the later spirit cleanup.
Two collectibles here are much cheaper now than later:
- The Turbo Student (KK Investigation Note): in the arcade in the lower underground alley. Clear the Visitors, then take it from the red stool by a game cabinet.
- File #178: the hardest voice log to find. At the end of the Underground route, past the train-track tunnels, you reach the room with what looks like a large water pump beside the big round cistern. Go through the open door on the second level from the bottom; the laptop is on the ground in the corner of that side room, on the left as you enter. On later visits you must destroy corruption to reach it, so take it now.
At the end of The Caves of Steel, the game teaches Wire In. This tutorial is the best early opportunity for the five-core achievement.
▶One Fell Swoop
During the Wire In tutorial encounter, use the empowered attacks to expose the cores of at least five Visitors before pulling any of them. Once five or more cores are exposed at the same time, perform one core-pull action to rip them out together.
If fewer than five are exposed, keep damaging the group rather than pulling early. If you miss this tutorial opportunity, the achievement is not missable; later large Containment Cube fights and street groups can also provide five simultaneous exposed cores.
▶In Sync
In Sync15G
Wire In a total of 10 times. The tutorial gives you the mechanic, and from this point onward you should activate it whenever the gauge is full during a substantial fight. The achievement triggers on the tenth activation; it does not require a certain number of kills while wired in.
▶Trouble
Trouble15G
Complete Chapter 2. The achievement unlocks after The Caves of Steel and the chapter transition.
▶Chapter 3: Connection
▶Pillar of Light and the Expanded City
▶Collectibles · 1 1 collectible
The Marunouchi Vanishing — Sengoku Center Building during Pillar of Light (Chapter 3), side room off the Meja Securities office, table under the TV.
Chapter 3 opens another large section of Shibuya. Continue the region-by-region pattern: story until fog recedes, then side missions and nearby collectibles, then return to the story when the available region is reasonably swept.
During Pillar of Light, the story takes you through the Sengoku Center Building near the Utagawa Shopping District gate. In the Meja Securities office, take the side room door on the left near the start of the cubicle area and pick up The Marunouchi Vanishing (KK Investigation Note) from the table under the TV.
Use every Containment Cube event you see. If the event has three cubes, stop what you are doing and complete it for the dedicated achievement below.
▶You Wouldn't Steal a Spirit
Containment Cube events can spawn with one, two, or three cubes. You need a single battle containing at least three cubes and must successfully protect all three through the encounter. When a three-cube event appears, prioritize enemies attacking the weakest cube and use bow headshots or Quick Purges while they are distracted.
The achievement unlocks when the battle ends with at least three cubes successfully protected. One- or two-cube events cannot satisfy the requirement, but they are still valuable for spirits and combat progress.
▶Couldn't Take the Heat
Kill at least three Visitors simultaneously by detonating one red ether crystal. Find a street encounter with several weak Visitors and a red ether crystal, soften the enemies if necessary, then kite at least three into the blast radius and shoot the crystal.
The trigger is three deaths from the same detonation, so merely damaging three Visitors is not enough.
▶Blindness and Agony
▶Collectibles · 3 3 collectibles
In the Midst of Battle — Forced pickup in a car park in the Onten area during the Chapter 3 main mission Blindness.
The Awakened AI — Kirigaoka apartment complex in the Yamaki area, sticking out of a ground-floor mailbox slot; visited during Blindness (Chapter 3).
City of Corruption — Payphone booth one block south of the Japanophile Nekomata stall in the Onten area, near a convenience store.
During Blindness, additional side missions appear after specific story objectives, including A Stop in the Void, A Passage Beyond, and later Hide and Seek. Complete newly available missions before leaving the region.
- In the Midst of Battle: a voice log the story makes you pick up in a car park in the Onten Shrine area during Blindness.
- The Awakened AI (KK Investigation Note): when Blindness takes you to the taped-off Kirigaoka apartment complex in the Yamaki Shrine area, check the mail lockers at the back of the ground floor; the note sticks out of a mailbox slot.
- City of Corruption: while you are in the Onten area, go one block south of the Japanophile Nekomata stall (northeast of the Utagawa gate). The voice log is in the payphone booth at the southern tip of that block, near a convenience store.
After the Rinko chase sequence in this chapter, the Exposure Talisman becomes purchasable, which completes the base talisman set and opens the final talisman-specific combat task.
▶Talismania
Talismania15G
Acquire all four base-game talisman types: Stun, Thicket, Decoy, and Exposure. By this point Stun, Thicket, and Decoy should already be available; buy an Exposure Talisman once it reaches shops after the relevant Blindness story sequence.
The two Spider's Thread update talismans are excluded from this base achievement and are handled by Unparalleled Talismaniac.
▶Freeze, Scumbag
Throw a Stun Talisman so a Visitor is held, then Quick Purge that stunned Visitor. Repeat until you have 10 qualifying Quick Purges. Containment Cube enemies are excellent targets because they are focused on the objective.
Each kill can also count toward Silent Kill, so finish this before doing any dedicated Quick Purge grind.
▶Left Yourself Open
Use an Exposure Talisman on a Visitor, then rip out the exposed core. Repeat for 10 Visitors. The achievement specifically requires core removals created by Exposure Talismans, so do not finish those targets with ordinary attacks after the core appears.
This stacks cleanly with Soul Breaker and is another good task for Containment Cube fights.
▶Savior
Savior15G
Transfer 50% of the required city spirits. If you have been clearing side missions, responding to Containment Cubes, and transferring regularly, this will normally unlock during Chapter 3 or early Chapter 4.
If you are still below 50%, do not stop the story for an exhaustive rooftop sweep. Chapter 4 gives you better tools for the remaining half.
▶Connection
Connection15G
Complete Chapter 3 by finishing Agony. The achievement unlocks at the chapter transition.
▶Chapter 4: Contortion
▶Giants and the Fully Open City
Chapter 4 is the main campaign cleanup phase. Giants reveals the remaining base-game city regions and includes an unmarked story torii-gate cleanse. Once this chapter has opened the map, stop rushing the story and turn Shibuya into a completion checklist.
This is also when the new Kawado Building Rooftop Torii Gate becomes available, opening the Spider's Thread update school content.
▶Better Together
During Chapter 4 combat, allow a Visitor capable of the purple severance attack to land that attack so KK is forcibly separated from Akito. Do not kill the encounter immediately. Reach KK and fuse back together.
The achievement unlocks when the reunion completes after a severance attack. This is not tied to a single story encounter, so if it does not happen naturally, keep an appropriate severance-capable Visitor alive long enough to trigger the mechanic.
▶Kawado School
Enter the newly opened school content before the motorcycle point of no return. This area contains the two school side missions, update collectibles, KK material, yokai, and several of the new Visitor types.
Required order: start Fear for the Children first. It is given by the Man Searching for Son spirit near the Kirigaoka Water Tower landmark, west of Yamaki Shrine. The Kawado Building Rooftop Torii Gate cannot be cleansed until this mission has been started.
▶Further Liberation
With Fear for the Children started, cleanse the Kawado Building Rooftop Torii Gate in the northwest corner of the map, on a rooftop just east of the school. This is the only torii gate added by the Spider's Thread update, so cleansing it satisfies the update-only gate requirement. A Sanguine Dancer appears during the cleanse, and the gate rewards a Spirit Well Talisman.
▶Unparalleled Talismaniac
The Spider's Thread update added two talisman types to the campaign: Spirit Well and Updraft. Cleansing the Kawado gate awards a Spirit Well Talisman, and both new talismans are sold at shops that stock talismans. Buy an Updraft Talisman if you do not already own one. The achievement unlocks when both newly added talisman types have been acquired. You do not need to use them first. If a shop already sells both earlier in your run, buying them then is fine.
▶Walking on Air
This is a base-game achievement: stay airborne for at least 10 seconds by grappling and gliding. Recommended method: throw an Updraft Talisman at your feet in an open area, ride the updraft up, then glide for as long as possible. Players report that the Updraft makes this easy, but no source confirms that Updraft airtime alone always satisfies the grapple-and-glide trigger. If it does not unlock, chain Tengu grapples between rooftops and glide with the glide upgrades purchased.
▶Scary Stories to Tell at School
Complete Fear for the Children, then complete Fear for Them All. The second mission is given by the Paranormal Club boy in Classroom 06 after the first mission ends. Search the school thoroughly while doing these missions rather than sprinting objectives, because the update area also contributes KK notes, magatama, Visitors, and other cleanup.
The achievement unlocks when both newly added school side missions are complete.
▶Unexpected Visitors
Defeat at least one of each newly added Visitor type. Treat five types as required: Student of Toil, Student of Fatigue, Sanguine Dancer, Silent Gaze, and Retribution. Some lists name only four, but Student of Fatigue is also a new campaign Visitor, and defeating it costs nothing. Earn these kills in the campaign; player reports indicate kills inside The Spider's Thread mode do not count.
- Sanguine Dancer: guaranteed during the Kawado gate cleanse and on the school roof during Fear for the Children.
- Retribution: guaranteed in the Fear for the Children fight at the school's back entrance; also appears in city alleys.
- Student of Toil: a street enemy in a convenience-store uniform that appears from Chapter 2 onward.
- Student of Fatigue: a second new student-type Visitor that looks similar to Student of Toil. Because the two are easy to confuse, confirm that both have their own Database entries rather than assuming.
- Silent Gaze: an invisible wanderer with no fixed spawn. Look for its footprints in Spectral Vision while exploring.
After finishing the school missions, check the Visitor entries in the Database. If one of the five is still undiscovered, hunt that type in the city before the Chapter 4 point of no return. The achievement unlocks as soon as every new type has been defeated at least once.
▶On-The-Job Training
▶Collectibles · 5 5 collectibles
The Mysterious Exercise Regimen — Open briefcase on the roof of the building north of the school entrance.
DLC
The Cycle of Hate — School 1F by Room 08 and the Nekomata: break the spirit clump, crawl through the hole, and check the newspapers in the back room.
DLC
The Sleepless Man — School 1F Classroom 10 (Staff Room), in the cabinet under two unused monitors.
DLC
The Noise in the Night — School gym (Classroom 01): hidden stairs behind the stage curtain to the sound booth, on the shelves by the door.
DLC
The Pool at Night — School 3F Classroom 29 (Computer Room), on the chair behind the teacher's podium.
DLC
Unlock every Spirit Skill added by the Spider's Thread update. The update raised the campaign Synergy cap to 55; the new skills need the extra level-up points plus 8 new KK Investigation Notes (20 skill points each) and 8 new magatama.
Collect the update material while you are at the school. Five of the eight new notes are here; grab the four interior ones while the school missions are running, because it is not documented whether every room stays open afterward:
- The Mysterious Exercise Regimen: outside, in an open briefcase on the roof of the building north of the school entrance.
- The Cycle of Hate: on the 1F, across from Room 08 (Front Desk) by the school's Nekomata, destroy the clump of spirit objects to reveal a crawl hole in the wall. Crouch through, go through the next door into the back room, and take the note from the stack of newspapers in the corner.
- The Sleepless Man: 1F Classroom 10 (Staff Room), inside the cabinet under two unused monitors by the windows.
- The Noise in the Night: in the gym (Classroom 01), take the hidden staircase behind the stage curtain to the sound booth; the note is on the metal shelves by the door.
- The Pool at Night: 3F Classroom 29 (Computer Room), on the chair behind the teacher's podium.
The other three new notes are in the city and are routed in the Voice Logs and KK Notes Sweep below. For magatama, the Nurikabe magatama is inside the school (3F north wall outside Classroom 28), the Karakasa-kozo and Ittan-momen hunts open once Fear for the Children is started and the Kawado gate is cleansed, the Oni and Kappa hunts open after Fear for the Children, and the school Nekomata sells three more magatama.
This achievement checks the added skills, not the entire original tree. Level 55 plus all 28 KK notes and all magatama covers every base and update skill. Buy the new skills after Mind and Body unlocks; if you are still short on level or notes, finish them from the cleared save after the story.

With the full city accessible, start the update side mission Spirits in the Modern Age from the box of photos in KK's Safehouse. Each set of haunted photographs appears as its own Spirits in the Modern Age entry, and you return to the box for the next set after finishing one. There are 25 photographs across eight sets (1, 3, 3, 4, 3, 4, 4, and 3 photos). Sets 1 to 7 can be done now; Set 8 does not appear until later in Chapter 4 and is covered after Wishmaker below.
At each spot, the ink stain on the back of the photo darkens as you get close. Stand where the photographer stood and match the viewpoint until the Examine prompt appears, take the photo to reveal a specter, then purge it with the hand seal. Position matters as much as camera angle, so if the prompt will not appear, step slowly back and forth while holding the angle. Do not stare at the back of a photo for too long, because enemies can spawn. Each spot pays 1,000 meika, and finishing Set 1 adds a Photo Missions list to the Missions menu. The facings below are approximate; the Examine prompt is the authority.
Set 1:
- Heart of Shibuya: at Shibuya Scramble Crossing, northeast of Morite Shrine. Stand at the sidewalk corner by the underground stairs and face west toward the 429 building.
Set 2:
- Admiring the Fireworks: east of Shiroyama Shrine, under the elevated highway. Stand in the median by a pole with a flower memorial and face north toward a building under construction with a crane.
- Grudge on the Tracks: grapple up to the elevated railway by Shibuya Station, north of Kuo Shrine. Stand on the tiled platform and face the parked trains.
- Paper Lanterns: southwest of Shiroyama Shrine near the map edge. Stand on the east side of the crosswalk and face southwest toward the rows of lantern walls.
Set 3:
- Among the Graves: Lamplight Cemetery, northwest of Morite Shrine. Stand in the gap in the stone fence and face north toward a grave with a tree behind it.
- The Eyes of the Drunk: below Yamaki Shrine. Go through the left-hand door and down one flight to the breezeway, then face southwest toward the highway from the railing.
- Hoarders and Their Houses: on the road from Namihara Shrine toward Hatsuike Shrine. Stand in the middle of the street facing the garbage-piled house on the east side.
Set 4:
- In Search of Rooftop Shrines: on the roof of one of two bridge-linked tall buildings west of Mikubo Shrine. Stand at the corner of the stairs and face south toward the small rooftop shrine.
- The Turbo Granny: on the elevated highway southeast of Hitani Shrine. Stand in the northernmost lanes and face east toward the taxi and cars.
- Something in the Distance: northeast of Shiratsuki Shrine, on the roof of the southern of four apartment blocks. Stand by the water tower so both the tower and the moon are in frame.
- Work Party: the highest roof of Shibuya Central Hospital, near KK's Safehouse. Go to the northernmost corner of the fenced area and face east toward a distant skyscraper.
Set 5:
- Lingering Regrets: a rooftop northwest of Scramble Crossing. Grapple onto the convenience store's signs, then to the sharp unfenced corner of the roof, and stand by the two memorial bouquets facing the red Resonance billboard.
- Lunar Eclipse: a rooftop northeast of Sakano Shrine with a curved neon sign and a small round water tower. From the western part of the roof, face the red circular neon sign.
- Accurate Signage: an alley northwest of Namihara Shrine. Cleanse the corrupted tree blocking the alley first, then stand at the bottom of the steps by the sign with eyes on it and face up the stairs.
Set 6:
- Extreme Editing: on the street southwest of Mikubo Shrine. Stand over the sewer cover by the traffic cones on the north side and face the overpass.
- Rhinoceros Beetle on a Tree: in the forest at the top of the stairs northeast of Hatsuike Shrine. Put your back to the tree with a log and rocks at its base and face north with the yellow crane centered.
- Looking Down from the Overpass: from Akitsu Shrine follow the road north, then east to the T-junction under the bridge, past the cats. At ground level, stand by the water drain between fence posts and face the overpass tunnel and row of bikes.
- Test of Courage: the graveyard east of Tatsui Shrine. Stand at the base of the stairs and look up the steps toward the highway overpass.
Set 7:
- Fading Away: southwest of Akitsu Shrine, use the shorter of the two very tall towers. Climb the exterior spiral staircase to the last landing before the dead-end door, not the roof, and face the billboard skyscrapers to the north.
- Construction Site: south of Namihara Shrine at the base of the very tall unfinished building near the Doll Fanatic Nekomata. Stand on the northern rubble pile inside and face the construction machine.
- Riding in Tandem: the bicycle lot south of Mikubo Shrine. Stand at the north end of the westernmost row of racks by a lamp post and face south toward the building with rounded balconies. This prompt is known to be fussy; stay on the right-hand path and creep forward and back.
- Swing Set: the playground at the Playful Nekomata west of Yamaki Shrine. Put your back to the fence behind the swings and face the red octopus slide.
When Set 7 is finished and the box offers nothing more, leave the chain until the final set appears later in Chapter 4.

Voice logs have no map markers, detector, or region counter; the Database Voice Logs list is the only in-game tracker. KK Investigation Notes do show in the map's region statistics, but one update note never appears there or with note-tracking beads. Pick up the remaining open-world ones by landmark during the Chapter 4 sweep. Anything already collected earlier can be skipped.
Voice logs (open-world recorders sit on the shelf under the payphone unless noted):
- Yokai Are All Around Us: the payphone booth just west of Yashin Shrine, outside the construction area.
- A Flavor Worth Dying For?: from the Utagawa Shopping District gate, go south past the first booth to the second, in a darkened alley on the left with a Jizo statue nearby.
- The Affinity: the payphone booth west of Noto Shrine at the southeast edge of the wooded area, north of Yamaki Shrine and west of a convenience store.
- The Fluidity of Spirits: an open payphone, not a booth, in front of a convenience store south of the Utagawa gate and north of Morite Shrine, directly south of the Nurikabe map icon. Check the ledge and base of the phone.
- The Man Called Dale: the payphone booth on the north bank of the river, just northeast of the Kappa in the river and east of Hitani Shrine.
- File #299: a laptop on a milk crate on the rooftop next to Matsumi Shrine, to the right of the torii near the edge.
- File #329: an open laptop just up the steps of Shiratsuki Shrine, on the right outside the shrine door.
KK Investigation Notes found in the world:
- The King of the Loan Sharks: in the construction site at Yashin Shrine, on black slabs near a standing light, a red generator, and cones. Sources disagree on the floor, so check street level and the level the elevator reaches.
- The Dancing Headless Students: on Kuo Shrine's rooftop level, go down the steps toward the small payphone; the note is on or behind the red chairs outside the small glass building opposite it.
- The Kirigaoka Vanishing: in the Hirokawa Shrine area, enter the side building with a quiver of arrows at its entrance, opposite the Nostalgic Nekomata stall, and check the table by the TV in the back room.
- The Jukai Soba Excavation: on a cafe table under a green parasol right beside the Utagawa Shopping District gate, on its south side.
- The Tengu Turf War: inside the building directly below Onten Shrine, on a low wooden shelf on the right.
- The Ether Thief: at street level directly across from Shimokusa Shrine, in a small entryway, leaning against an unusable elevator with green doors.
- The Giant Teru Teru Bozu: on a bench on the roof of the tall building at the southern edge of the Kappagaike gate area. The Black Tower takes you onto this rooftop; otherwise ride a lift on the neighboring building and glide across.
- The Line at the Ramen Shop: leaning against the door of a mini shrine just outside the left side of the Tatsui Shrine building.
- The Overpriced Tickets: right of the Noto Shrine steps, on a low wall beside blue crates and a bush in front of an apartment building.
KK Investigation Notes sold by Nekomata stalls (100,000 meika each, 600,000 total; check every tab of the stall's shop menu, because the notes may sit on a separate page):
- The Mystery of the Invisible Cat: Luster-Loving Nekomata, east of Kuo Shrine.
- The Cult of the Flying Cloth: Musical Nekomata, southwest of Matsumi Shrine.
- The Sports Avenue Barker: Japanophile Nekomata, northeast of the Utagawa Shopping District gate.
- The Strange Case of the City Tengu: Handicraft Nekomata, northwest of Shiroyama Shrine.
- The Nekomata and the Convenience Store: Playful Nekomata, south of Yamaki Shrine.
- The Kappa and the Cucumber: Occult Nekomata, south of Onten Shrine.
Update KK Investigation Notes in the city:
- The Monster and the Fool: from Shibuya Scramble Crossing, go north along the street and watch the left side for an openable door near the corner. Take the red elevator to the B1F gallery; the note is on a chair immediately left of the elevator. This note never shows in the map's region note counts or with note-tracking beads, so make this stop deliberately even if the map says every note is collected.
- The Red Cloth: in an alley south of Akitsu Shrine, destroy the corruption core outside the ground-floor apartment with red corruption on its door, then take the folder on the desk inside.
- The Neon Woman: in the apartment complex northeast of Matsumi Shrine, go up to 3F Apartment 303, destroy the corruption core on the door, and take the book on the bed in the first room on the left.
▶Base-Game City Completion Sweep
Before advancing The Black Tower to the repaired motorcycle, sweep the now-open map region by region. This is the point where the game finally gives you enough mobility and tracking tools to make full cleanup efficient.
Equip the strongest Spirit Perception Beads you have, expand Spectral Vision range, and unlock the grapple skill that lets you summon a tengu when practical. Hover over shrine regions on the map to see local completion categories. Use offering-box wishes to reveal stubborn Jizo statues or tanuki. Keep the global map zoomed out to monitor transferred spirits, including categories that are not tied to an ordinary shrine region.
KK Investigation Notes feed Mind and Body and On-The-Job Training. There are 28 in total, each worth 20 skill points: 20 base notes (13 found in the open world, six bought from Nekomata at 100,000 meika each, and one found only in Chapter 5) and 8 added by the update. The Voice Logs and KK Notes Sweep above lists every note you can get before the motorcycle. The 600,000 meika for the Nekomata notes also counts toward Big Spender.

Gust Beads — A Maze of Death — Picked up automatically on the outer upper levels of the Shibuya Kagerie Retail Complex during this Chapter 2 main mission. Kuo Shrine's own cleanse gives a talisman, not this bead.
Sleuth Beads — Hirokawa Shrine — Chapter 3. Not at the main gate: go through the main torii into the upper courtyard and turn immediately right; the altar is against the wall. The most commonly missed bead.
Archery Beads — Morite Shrine — Chapter 3 cleanse; collect from the altar in the shrine grounds.
Aqua Beads — Toyoi Shrine — Chapter 3 cleanse; collect from the altar in the shrine grounds.
Archery Beads — Matsumi Shrine — Chapter 3 cleanse in the Pillar of Light area; collect from the altar.
Aqua Beads — Yamaki Shrine — Available after Blindness in Chapter 3; collect from the altar after the cleanse.
Flame Beads — Kirigaoka Shrine — Available after Blindness in Chapter 3; the bead is inside the shrine itself.
Spirit Perception Beads — Hitani Shrine — Available after Blindness in Chapter 3; collect from the altar after the cleanse.
Archery Beads — Namihara Shrine — Available after Blindness in Chapter 3; collect from the altar after the cleanse.
Gust Beads — Hatsuike Shrine — Available after Blindness in Chapter 3; collect from the altar. Sometimes misspelled Katsuike.
Prosperity Beads — Chishima Shrine — Chapter 4, after answering the phone call at the start of Giants; collect from the altar. Single set with no ranks.
Incognito Beads — Noto Shrine — Chapter 4, after answering the phone call at the start of Giants; collect from the altar. Single set with no ranks.
Nourishment Beads — Hirajuku Building Rooftop Torii Gate — Chapter 4, after Noto Shrine is cleansed; rooftop gate reached by grapple.
Sleuth Beads — Shiratsuki Shrine — Chapter 4, after Noto Shrine is cleansed; collect from the altar.
Spirit Perception Beads — Saihama Building Rooftop Torii Gate — Chapter 4, after Shiratsuki Shrine is cleansed; rooftop gate reached by grapple.
Talisman Beads — Momokane Building Rooftop Torii Gate — Chapter 4, after the Saihama rooftop gate is cleansed; rooftop gate. Sometimes misspelled Monokane.
Nourishment Beads — Tatsui Shrine — Chapter 4, after the area's Visitors are cleared during Giants; collect from the altar.
Aqua Beads — Kappagaike Torii Gate — Chapter 4, after Tatsui Shrine is cleansed; a torii gate, not a shrine.
Sleuth Beads — Onten Shrine — Chapter 4, after Tatsui Shrine is cleansed; collect from the altar.
Flame Beads — Mikubo Shrine — Chapter 4, after Onten Shrine is cleansed; collect from the altar.
Talisman Beads — Shimokusa Shrine — Chapter 4, after Mikubo Shrine is cleansed; collect from the altar.
Nourishment Beads — Sakano Shrine — Chapter 4, after Shimokusa Shrine is cleansed; collect from the altar.
Gust Beads — Kamio Shrine — Chapter 4, after Shimokusa Shrine is cleansed; collect from the altar.
Flame Beads — Akitsu Shrine — Chapter 4, after Kamio Shrine is cleansed. The bead is not in front of the shrine; check the sides and back.
Cleanse every base-game torii gate. For route purposes, the base set consists of 29 open-world map gates plus the unmarked story gate cleansed during Giants. The Kawado Building Rooftop Torii Gate added by the update is excluded from this achievement and belongs to Further Liberation.
If every visible base gate is clean but Liberator has not unlocked, confirm that you have progressed Giants far enough to complete its story gate rather than searching for a nonexistent thirtieth map icon.
Cleansing is also how you earn most prayer beads for Power Overwhelming, but the bead is not granted automatically. At 23 sites (19 shrines and 4 torii gates), the cleanse leaves a prayer bead on a small altar or table in the grounds, usually just behind or beside the gate, sometimes off to the side or at the back. Walk over and pick it up before you leave. To check any site, hover its icon on the world map: the reward bead is shown highlighted (usually orange) while unclaimed and grey once claimed. Hirokawa Shrine is the most commonly missed: its Sleuth bead is not at the main gate but in the upper courtyard, so go through the main torii and turn immediately right to find it against the wall. Kirigaoka's bead is inside the shrine, and Akitsu's is to the side or back rather than in front. Kuo Shrine's cleanse gives the Stun Talisman, not a bead; the Gust bead tied to that area is picked up automatically on the outer upper levels of the Shibuya Kagerie Retail Complex during the main mission A Maze of Death.

Kirigaoka Shrine — Chapter 3, Agony. At the top of the long line of torii gates and fox statues about 89 m north-north-west of the water tower; registers after the second set of stairs.
Kirigaoka Restricted Area — Chapter 3, Agony. The open overgrown lot in the middle of the large northern park, about 145 m north of Kirigaoka Shrine; passed on the way to the cave.
Tatsui Shrine — Chapter 4, Giants, after the Momokane torii. A square off the road about 63 m south of Momokane with a yellow backhoe, a payphone and the Archeology Relic-Hunting Nekomata.
Kappagaike — Chapter 4, after Tatsui Shrine. The middle of the park pond about 123 m south-east of Tatsui Shrine, directly in front of the Kappagaike torii gate, south of the main east–west highway.
Drunkard's Alley — Chapter 4, after Mikubo Shrine. About 50 m south-west of Mikubo Shrine: turn around from the shrine, go left at the orange traffic cone, bear right at the vending machines to the yellow crates under hanging lanterns.
Mitake Shopping Arcade — Chapter 4, after Shimokusa Shrine. About 60 m south-south-west of the shrine on the road south of it, near a payphone and a convenience store, with a Fujiya Mart and a Daily Ninja at the entrance.

Ginpei Restricted Area — Chapter 4, after Kamio Shrine. At the south-east boundary fence about 80 m beyond Ginpei Crossing, approach the caution-taped dead tree (Water Jizo opposite, white Jeep in the road) until a line plays. Cursed tree hurts; Visitors guard it.
Shibuara Park — South-central, one block north of Akitsu Shrine near Construction Labyrinth. A small fenced park with a relic in a bicycle basket outside; try it in Chapter 2, otherwise guaranteed after Kamio in Chapter 4.
Discover all 31 landmarks. There is no prompt: each landmark registers on its own when you get close to it, usually within about 50 meters of its map icon. Most register during normal story play, and this is best finished during the Chapter 4 region sweep rather than with a separate trip later. Nothing here is permanently missable, and every landmark stays reachable in free roam before Chapter 5 and after the credits. Spectral Vision does not reveal landmarks, and no offering box or bead tracks them.
Check your progress by hovering any discovered landmark icon on the map, which shows a counter out of 31. The Database Landmarks tab lists only the landmarks you have already discovered, so a missing name will not appear there. To find a gap, compare the Database list against the full 31-name list in the Landmarks category below.
A few landmarks need a specific action rather than a simple walk past:
- Ginpei Restricted Area is the landmark players miss most often, and it does not register from Ginpei Crossing. Its map point sits outside the playable area. After Kamio Shrine is cleansed, go about 80 m south-south-east of Ginpei Crossing to the south-east boundary fence and walk up to the dead tree there: a stump wrapped in yellow-and-black caution tape set into the wall, with a Water Jizo statue across from it and a white Jeep in the road. It registers when a dialogue line plays at the tree. The cursed tree damages you and strong Visitors guard the area, so clear the Visitors first and back off once the line plays.
- Sky Garden only counts once you are on its rooftop, the roof with the multicoloured pool just south of the Shibuya Kagerie Retail Complex. Take it in Chapter 2 straight after using the Kagerie tourist binoculars: turn south instead of dropping down, go to the end of the walkway, and glide across. Buy Glide – Duration Boost (10 SP) before the jump; reports disagree on whether it is strictly required, so treat it as the safe route. A Tengu grapple onto the roof also works. The Ama-no-Murakumo-no-Tsurugi (Replica) relic is on the same roof, and skipping this now means a full Kagerie climb later.
- Lamplight Cemetery is hidden behind buildings north-west of Morite Shrine and opens after Matsumi Shrine. From the 429 Street crosswalk, enter the alley between the Kabazeriya and the Daily Ninja on the north side. About 25 m in, take the very narrow gap on the right, opposite a Gold Fish restaurant and just before a row of parked bikes, and follow it to the end. If it does not register, climb the surrounding buildings and drop in.
- Shibuara Park is a small fenced park one block north of Akitsu Shrine. Its opening point is uncertain, so check it in Chapter 2 while you are at Construction Labyrinth near Kuo Shrine. If it is still in fog, collect it in the Chapter 4 sweep after Kamio and Akitsu; it is guaranteed once every torii gate is cleansed.
In Chapter 3, run Lamplight Cemetery, Sengoku Police Box, Sengokuzaka and Sports Avenue as one walking loop once Matsumi Shrine and the Utagawa Shopping District torii are cleansed. Sengokuzaka is the slope north of Scramble Crossing under the short pedestrian bridge on the road to the Utagawa torii, not the area next to Mikubo Shrine. Walk the whole slope.
If you come up short, the usual misses, roughly most likely first, are Ginpei Restricted Area, Lamplight Cemetery, Yugenzaka Junction, Tsukinami Restricted Area, Tsukinami Dai-ichi Park, Sky Garden, Shibuara Park, Sengokuzaka and Sports Avenue.
▶Your Tail's Showing
Find all 25 missing tanuki. Tanuki collection only opens once Tanuki Hunt is completed: find the first tanuki (a metal pot with a tail west of the Boss Tanuki at Shiroyama Shrine), then go back and report to the Boss Tanuki. That report-back opens the hunt for the other 24, so do it in Chapter 2 and every regional sweep afterward can pick up tanuki.
As you clear each shrine region, check its remaining tanuki count on the map first by hovering the torii icon, use revealed map markers and offering-box tanuki wishes where a box exists, then sweep only that region with Spectral Vision for everyday objects with a tail.
The achievement unlocks on the 25th tanuki. Then turn in The Boss Tanuki at Kirigaoka Shrine, not Shiroyama; it may not show a map marker. That follow-up is part of the base side-mission completion needed for Wishmaker.
▶Pilgrim
Pilgrim15G
Pray at all 52 Jizo statues. Work in this order for each shrine region: first check the region's remaining Jizo count by hovering the shrine on the map, then use any Jizo markers already revealed on the map, then sweep only that region with Spectral Vision. Not every shrine has an offering box, but where one exists, the 500-meika wish that reveals a Jizo location is worth using whenever a region is still missing one.
The achievement unlocks when the final Jizo statue has been prayed at.

Self-Defense Beads — Playful Nekomata — Bonus reward after 3 requests at the stall in the children's park with a red octopus jungle gym, Kirigaoka/Yamaki area; use its map icon.
Astral Beads — Musical Nekomata — Bonus reward after 3 requests at the stall southeast of Matsumi Shrine.
Self-Defense Beads — Antique Nekomata — Bonus reward after 5 requests at the stall southwest of Shimokusa Shrine, against a four-story apartment building on an east–west road.
Astral Beads — Doll Fanatic Nekomata — Bonus reward after 6 requests at the stall southeast of Namihara Shrine, between a brown and a white-brick apartment building.
Self-Defense Beads — Netsuke Collector Nekomata — Bonus reward for all 16 netsuke at the stall southwest of Kamio Shrine, on the sidewalk next to Freshmoth Burger.
Astral Beads — Archeology Nekomata — Bonus reward for all 7 requested relics at the stall on the southwest side of the Tatsui Shrine area, near the well.
Acquire all 123 relics. Relic-Hunting Nekomata request lists are the practical backbone of this cleanup because they tell you which relics each merchant wants and provide search areas for missing pieces.
Turn relics in as you go rather than waiting until the end. The Nekomata reward tiers feed several other achievements, especially music, outfits, prayer beads, and meika. Collector itself unlocks when the last relic is acquired, not when every request reward is claimed, but 100% completion requires you to keep using those reward tracks.
Six stalls award a prayer bead on their bonus track: Playful Nekomata (Self-Defense) after 3 requests, Musical Nekomata (Astral) after 3, Antique Nekomata (Self-Defense) after 5, Doll Fanatic Nekomata (Astral) after 6, Netsuke Collector Nekomata (Self-Defense) after all 16 netsuke, and Archeology Nekomata (Astral) after all 7 of its relics. It is not confirmed whether each piece of a multi-part relic such as the Kite counts as a separate request, so simply keep turning in until the bead arrives. The other seven stalls give no bead, and no stall sells one.
▶With Their Powers Combined
Acquire 40 or more different magatama. Complete yokai hunts as they appear and buy the magatama sold by Nekomata merchants when necessary. The update added extra sources, so you have more than the original minimum available.
This is cumulative acquisition. You do not need to hold 40 at once, and spending magatama on skill locks does not reduce achievement progress.

Strawberry Kakigori — Only at food stalls: southeast of the Utagawa Shopping District torii gate beside Tapioca Milk Tea, north of Kuo Shrine, or south of Onten Shrine.
Tapioca Milk Tea — Only at the food stall southeast of the Utagawa Shopping District torii gate, on the road directly east of the Musical Nekomata. The type most often missed.
Acquire every food and drink type. There are 50, and the Spider's Thread update added none. You only need to acquire each type once, by buying it, picking it up from a bag or the street, or grabbing a floating spectral item. It does not need to stay in your inventory and does not need to be eaten. The achievement unlocks the moment you acquire the 50th type.
Track progress in Database > Consumables. A finished list shows 52 entries, not 50, because it also contains two tutorial explainers, "What's a Rice Ball?" and "What's Dango?". If you count 51 entries, one food type is still missing. Shio Senbei and Dog Food are Key Items, not food, and do not count. Six regular items share a name with a Nether version (Rice Ball (Umeboshi), Green Tea, Shiruko, Yakuza Puffs, Oden and Watermelon); each regular item and its Nether twin are separate required types.
Every type falls into one reliable source group:
- Convenience stores (11 types). Every Daily Ninja and FujiyaMart sells the same stock, and each gets a basket icon on the map once discovered. Buy one of every food you do not own at your first store in Chapter 2. The list is longer than one screen: scroll all the way down, because Canned Sukiyaki is the last item and is the purchase most often overlooked. Stock grows with story progress and it is not documented which items arrive later, so re-check the full scrolled list during the Chapter 4 sweep. Kibi Dango and Cucumber are also used for the Oni and Kappa yokai content, and one purchase of each covers Gourmand.
- Drink vending machines (5 types). Every machine sells the same 5 drinks for 120 to 180 meika. They show on the minimap and compass, not the main map; there is one at the Volunteer Office near Namita Shrine and one at Shibuya Station. Buy all five at the first machine you use.
- Food-stall Nekomata (8 types). Twelve small Nekomata food stalls each sell one food that is sold nowhere else. These are not the Relic-Hunting Nekomata, which never sell food. Each stall opens once its region's fog is cleared, so buy the local stall food on each shrine-region sweep; the Chapter 4 sweep is the guaranteed window for all of them. Karaage and Taiyaki share the street-market stalls just northwest of Shiroyama Shrine. Oden is at Morite Shrine, with the second Taiyaki stall southeast of Morite. Okonomiyaki (Pork) is south of Akitsu Shrine. Yakisoba is by the construction site west of Kuo Shrine. Takoyaki is northwest of Kuo Shrine, described elsewhere as northeast of Yashin Shrine near a Water Jizo, with a second stall east of Matsumi Shrine. Tapioca Milk Tea is southeast of the Utagawa Shopping District torii gate, on the road directly east of the Musical Nekomata, next to a Strawberry Kakigori stall; other Strawberry Kakigori stalls are north of Kuo Shrine and south of Onten Shrine. Visiting the Shiroyama market, Morite, Akitsu, the Kuo construction site, the Utagawa gate stalls and either Takoyaki stall covers all eight. Akitsu and Morite are the stops most easily skipped, and Tapioca Milk Tea is the type most often reported as the last one missing.
- Coffee Milk (1 type). Clear Namita Shrine, then take Deep Cleaning from the Old Man Concerned About Water on 2F of the Volunteer Office, southwest of the shrine. After the final fight the bathhouse, northwest of the Volunteer Office, returns to normal and a previously blocked section opens with small Coffee Milk bottles to pick up; players report two bottles, on the women's side. Take one before you leave. It is not a random bag drop. If you missed it, buy it from the Fuchihashi Middle School Nekomata on 1F by Room 08 (Front Desk) during the Chapter 4 Kawado School content; this vendor is reported to stay usable after Fear for Them All. Whether the bathhouse bottles are still there on a later visit is not documented, so treat the school Nekomata as the recovery.
- Random white bags and loose food (18 types). White plastic bags and loose single items in streets and buildings roll random contents, and no location is guaranteed for any of these types. Open every bag and grab loose food on your normal route through Chapters 2 to 4. None of these 18 is known to be sold anywhere, so treat them as bag-only. If any are missing at the end, save in front of a white bag, open it, and reload if it did not give the item you need; each reload rolls new contents. Areas with several bags close together give more rolls per reload. How many reloads a type takes is pure luck, so leave this for last.
- Spectral Nether food (7 types). Fixed floating pickups that are never sold and never appear in bags. Spectral Vision helps you spot them indoors. Six of the seven are around Namita Shrine in Chapter 2: Nether Green Tea and Nether Rice Ball (Umeboshi) inside the Volunteer Office; Nether Yakuza Puffs inside the Deep Cleaning bathhouse; Nether Dango, Nether Oden, Nether Green Tea, Nether Rice Ball (Umeboshi) and Nether Yakuza Puffs inside the Landlord's House during Zashiki-warashi; and Nether Shiruko floating in the air next to Namita Shrine. Nether Watermelon has 14 open-world spawns and no single named spot, so grab the first one you see on any city sweep.
If Gourmand is still locked after the Chapter 4 sweep, find the missing type before buying stacks of things you already own:
- Open Database > Consumables and count the entries. 52 means everything is owned; 51 or fewer means a type is missing.
- Compare the list by name against the Food and Drink list in the Collectibles section. Watch for regular/Nether pairs, and do not count the two explainer entries.
- If the missing type is a convenience-store item, buy it at any store, scrolling to the very bottom of the list.
- If it is a vending-machine drink, buy it at any machine.
- If it is a stall food, go to one of its named stalls and buy one.
- If it is Coffee Milk, buy it from the Fuchihashi Middle School Nekomata.
- If it is a Nether item, go to its named fixed spawn; for Nether Watermelon, sweep the open city.
- If it is a bag item, save in front of a white bag and reload until it rolls the item.
No Xbox registration problem is known for Gourmand. If all 52 entries show and it is still locked, an untested fallback is to restart the game and acquire any food item again, but this may not re-trigger the check.

Acquire every base-game music track. The achievement excludes update content. Music comes from shops, side missions, and especially Relic-Hunting Nekomata reward tracks, so finish all relevant Nekomata requests and claim their rewards during this sweep.
Do not use the presence of update music as evidence that a base track is missing; only the pre-update set is required for this achievement.
Closure check: finish the story and every base side mission, complete every base Relic-Hunting Nekomata request list and claim each reward tier, and buy every unique base music track sold by every Relic-Hunting Nekomata. Then check the music list in your inventory for gaps.

Return later
The Boss Tanuki — Kirigaoka Shrine, practically late Chapter 4. Opens after Tanuki Hunt and all 25 tanuki. May not show a map marker; go straight to Kirigaoka.
Return later
Complete all 42 base-game side missions. The Spider's Thread school missions and the spirit-photograph missions are listed as side missions in-game, but they are excluded from this achievement. Never chase update missions to fix a missing Wishmaker.
The most important route warning is the three-part After the End chain. After the End becomes available during Giants after Rinko's payphone call; the ringing payphone is in the Toyoi Shrine region of west Shibuya, so cleanse that area to reach it. After the End II and After the End III follow in order. All three expire when you examine and ride the repaired motorcycle at the end of The Black Tower, and they stay gone for Chapters 5 and 6. A cleared save restores the pre-motorcycle world after the credits, so they are recoverable, but the safest route finishes them on the first pass.
Both of the first two parts award a voice log:
- Blood and Succession: during After the End, follow Erika's residue to the Shibuya 429 landmark, defeat the Visitors there (a Shiromuku may appear), and pick up the recorder where the residue sat in front of 429.
- Difficulty with Human Beings: during After the End II, follow the residue from the 429 rooftop across the roofs to Shibuya Central Hospital, clear the Visitors on the hospital roof, and take the recorder.
After the End II normally appears near Scramble Crossing and 429 once the first part is done, but it is reported to sometimes wait for Chapter 4 story progress. After the End III never appears until you have collected the Fragrant Underworld Oil in The Black Tower; then its payphone shows when you visit Toyoi Shrine. If II has not shown up, advance The Black Tower objectives up to, but not past, the motorcycle and look again near Scramble Crossing. The final set of spirit photographs is triggered from After the End II, so it waits on the same timing.
Safe Black Tower order:
- Collect all three motorcycle parts: the gasoline, the turbine wheel and the Fragrant Underworld Oil.
- Do not examine the motorcycle in the garage yet.
- Finish After the End II if it is still open, then After the End III at the payphone beside Toyoi Shrine.
- Confirm the rest of the 42 are done, then examine and ride the motorcycle.
Tanuki Hunt starts at Shiroyama Shrine in Chapter 2. Read the Boss Tanuki's thoughts, talk to it, find the metal pot with a tail to the west, then go back and talk to the Boss Tanuki again. The mission only completes on that report-back. Its follow-up, The Boss Tanuki, unlocks once all 25 tanuki are found and is turned in at Kirigaoka Shrine, not Shiroyama. It may not show a map marker, so go straight to Kirigaoka. This is usually your 42nd mission.
Several starts are easy to overlook because they appear late, only by proximity, or without a normal conversation:
- The Boss Tanuki: no reliable marker; turn in at Kirigaoka Shrine after 25 tanuki.
- Bloodthirsty Blossoms - Mitake: inspect the red tree north-east of Sakano Shrine after cleansing Kappagaike, Onten and Sakano.
- Bloodthirsty Blossoms - Ginpei: inspect the red tree at the south-east map edge in the Ginpei Restricted Area after cleansing Akitsu Shrine.
- After the End II: appears near Scramble Crossing and 429, possibly only after Black Tower progress.
- After the End III: needs the Fragrant Underworld Oil, then a visit to Toyoi Shrine.
- Hide and Seek III: sits in fog until Kamio Shrine is cleansed.
- Kappa: talk to the Old Man on a bench near the escalator north of Kuo Shrine first, then the boy at the fountain.
- Deep Cleaning and A Stop in the Void: the givers are indoors (Volunteer Office 2F) and underground (subway stairs).
- The Crimson Moon and the After the End trio start from ringing payphones.
Track the 42 with the checklist for this achievement rather than the in-game Missions tab. It is not confirmed whether completed missions stay visible there, so use the tab as a supplementary check only.
If you are stuck on 41 of 42, check in this order:
- The Boss Tanuki: confirm all 25 tanuki by hovering each torii icon on the map for its region count, then turn in at Kirigaoka Shrine.
- The Bloodthirsty Blossoms follow-ups: visit the tree north-east of Sakano Shrine and the Ginpei south-east edge.
- The After the End chain: II near Scramble Crossing, III at Toyoi Shrine after the Fragrant Underworld Oil.
- Hide and Seek II and III: Onten Shrine, then the apartment building in the Kamio Shrine area.
- Kappa: the two-step start at the bench Old Man, then the fountain.
- And Then There Were None: one player reported the giver not appearing despite the marker; leave the area and return, or reload.
▶Big Spender
Big Spender15G
Spend a cumulative 1,000,000 meika. Do not grind this early. The completion route naturally spends huge amounts on katashiro, talismans, food, music, outfits, magatama, KK Investigation Notes sold by Nekomata, other Nekomata stock, offering boxes, and capsule pulls.
During the Chapter 4 sweep, buy every unique completion item you still need. If the achievement remains unfinished after the collectible work, burn the remainder on consumables, arrows, talismans, and capsule machines. The trigger is total meika spent, not current inventory value.
▶Salvation of All
Reach at least 100% transferred spirits, which corresponds to 240,300 transferred spirits for the achievement threshold. The current update-expanded world contains extra spirits, so you can leave some difficult individual pickups behind and substitute spirits from update content, side missions, Containment Cubes, or Hyakki Yako.
Use the full-map spirit counter, not the percentage of any single shrine region. If all ordinary shrine regions look complete but the global total is still short, check Shibuya Underground and continue responding to Containment Cube and Hyakki Yako events.
The achievement unlocks when the transferred total reaches the threshold. Spirits still sitting in katashiro do not count until transferred.

Safehouse Memories — Set 8. Inside KK's Safehouse right after picking up the set, facing the chair and bookshelves.

Restricted for a Reason — Set 8. Ginpei Restricted Area at the southeast map edge, on the fallen bicycle facing the taped-off stump.
DLC
Forest Gathering — Set 8. Forest north of Kirigaoka Shrine, rubble pile south of the yellow digger facing northwest.
DLC
Once After the End II is done (advancing The Black Tower without riding the motorcycle if needed), return to the box in KK's Safehouse for Set 8, the final three photographs. If the box still offers nothing after Set 7, the story gate has not been passed yet.
- Safehouse Memories: take this one immediately after picking up the set. Turn around inside the safehouse and face the chair with a plate and fork and the half-empty bookshelves.
- Restricted for a Reason: the Ginpei Restricted Area landmark at the southeast map edge, between Akitsu Shrine and Kamio Shrine. Near the crosswalk, stand on the fallen bicycle with your back to the white car and face the taped-off cursed tree stump. Stay on the bicycle; the cursed tree hurts you if you get close, and strong Visitors guard the area.
- Forest Gathering: in the forest directly north of Kirigaoka Shrine, find the yellow digger surrounded by Silent Gaze Visitors. Stand on the rubble pile with a lamp on the digger's south side and face northwest toward its front, creeping until the prompt appears. This is the hardest spot to find.
▶Spirit Photographer
After the twenty-fifth photograph, the follow-up side mission A Job Well Done appears at the bottom right of the map. Go to Kamio Shrine in the far southeast and report to the Chief Priest. Completing it pays 10,000 meika and an emote.
The achievement unlocks when A Job Well Done is completed, not on the twenty-fifth photograph. If you somehow ride the motorcycle before finishing the chain, it is not lost: the cleared save after the story returns you to the city, where the safehouse box and every spot are reachable again.
▶The Black Tower Point of No Return
Advance The Black Tower until the motorcycle is repaired. The game warns you before riding it because Chapters 5 and 6 temporarily leave the open city behind.
Before mounting the motorcycle, confirm all of the following:
- Salvation of All has unlocked.
- Wishmaker has unlocked, including all three After the End missions.
- The base torii gates are complete.
- The landmark counter shows 31/31, and you hold 30 of 33 base prayer beads; the last three are endgame rewards.
- The school and spirit-photograph update side missions are complete.
- Your major collectible sweeps are finished or reduced to items known to require the endgame.
- The Database lists 16 of 17 voice logs (only File #999 missing) and 27 of 28 KK Investigation Notes (only The Hyakki Yako missing), including the voice logs from After the End and After the End II, all six Nekomata-sold notes, and The Monster and the Fool confirmed by hand. The last voice log and the last base KK note are in Chapter 5.
▶On the Same Wavelength
Raise Synergy Level to at least 50. The update raised the campaign cap to 55, but this base achievement still triggers at 50. A completion-focused run that has absorbed and transferred 240,300 spirits should reach the requirement naturally.
If you are somehow short, finish remaining side activities and spirits before riding the motorcycle rather than grinding enemies.
▶Contortion
Contortion15G
Ride the repaired motorcycle and complete Chapter 4. The achievement unlocks at the chapter transition into the endgame.
▶Chapters 5 and 6: Finish the Story
▶Family and Tokyo Tower
Chapters 5 and 6 are much more linear than the open-city chapters. Do not rush past collectible prompts here, because the final base voice log and the final base KK Investigation Note are in this endgame stretch and are needed for The Whole Truth and the base skill completion.
▶The Whole Truth

File #999 — Chapter 5 only: up the stairs after the motorcycle cutscene, on the ground left of the big wooden shrine building's steps, by a phone booth.
Collect all 17 voice logs; the update added none. The final one, File #999, is only available at the start of Chapter 5, and the map does not work here. When you regain control after the motorcycle cutscene, go straight up the stairs ahead. A big wooden shrine building is on your right; the laptop is open on the ground to the left of that building's steps, next to a phone booth. Picking it up unlocks the achievement if the other 16 are already collected.
If it does not unlock, compare the Database Voice Logs list with the 17 logs in the Collectibles section to find the missing title. On the cleared save, picking up a missing earlier log completes the set immediately as long as File #999 was already taken. If File #999 itself was missed, load the cleared save, ride the motorcycle again, and grab it at the start of Chapter 5; you do not need to finish Chapters 5 and 6 again.

The Hyakki Yako — Chapter 5 only: after the Okina (Tsuchigumo) fight, on the counter by the safe in the shrine hut at the base of the Tokyo Tower stairs.
Unlock every base-game Spirit Skill, excluding update content. The final base KK Investigation Note, The Hyakki Yako, is only available in Chapter 5, so this achievement cannot be treated as a guaranteed pre-motorcycle unlock even if your level and magatama requirements are already complete.
After you defeat Okina, who transforms into Tsuchigumo, you return near Tokyo Tower. Before climbing the lantern-lined stairs and entering the tower, go into the small shrine hut beside the base of the stairs and take the note from the counter next to the safe. Entering Tokyo Tower locks it out for that run; if you miss it, load the cleared save and replay Chapter 5 up to this point.
After collecting that last base note, spend the accumulated skill points and magatama to purchase every base skill across the skill categories. If you are exactly 20 skill points short at full level, you are missing one note: check The Monster and the Fool near Scramble Crossing first, then The Hyakki Yako, then the six Nekomata-sold notes. Use the cleared save for any remaining spirits or notes rather than assuming the skill tree is bugged.

Conclusions15G
Complete the main story. This unlocks with the story ending after Chapter 6.
When prompted, create the cleared save. It preserves your progress and returns you to the Chapter 4 pre-motorcycle state with endgame rewards available.
▶Hero of Shibuya
Because Salvation of All was completed before the motorcycle, finishing the main story now also satisfies the requirement to complete the story after transferring at least 100% of the spirits in the city.
The achievement unlocks at the end of the story after the final boss and ending sequence. If you ignored the pre-motorcycle spirit target and finished below 100%, the cleared save lets you return to Chapter 4, reach 100%, and replay Chapters 5 and 6, but the route above avoids that second endgame run.

▶Endgame Rewards and Remaining Collections
Load the cleared save. You return to the city before the motorcycle with everything earned from the completed run. Use this short cleanup only for items that genuinely require the ending or for any count that did not finish naturally.

Transmission Beads — Awarded for finishing the main story with any spirit total; in the inventory when you load the clear save after the credits.
Tireless Beads — Awarded for finishing the main story with 100% of spirits already transferred; in the inventory when you load the clear save.
Shadow Beads — Awarded alongside Tireless for finishing the main story with 100% of spirits already transferred; in the inventory when you load the clear save.
Acquire every base-game set of prayer beads. Most come from shrine and torii gate cleanse rewards and Relic-Hunting Nekomata reward tracks, so those should already be collected from the Chapter 4 sweep. Shops do not sell prayer beads.
The remaining endgame beads are why this achievement belongs here. Completing the story awards the Transmission Beads, and completing the story after transferring 100% of the spirits awards the additional 100%-clear beads. With the shrine and Nekomata bead rewards already collected, load the cleared save and claim the endgame rewards to finish the base bead set.
The base set is 33 bead pickups across 15 types: 23 shrine and torii gate cleanse pickups, 1 story pickup in A Maze of Death, 6 Nekomata bonus rewards, and 3 endgame rewards. Eight types max out at III, Spirit Perception and Talisman max out at II, and Prosperity, Incognito, Transmission, Tireless and Shadow are single sets. Side missions award no beads, and the Spider's Thread update beads do not count. The rank numeral only shows how many beads of that type you own, so it follows the order you collected them, not the source. If you did Akitsu before Mikubo, Akitsu's bead is your Flame II. Track missing beads by source, never by numeral.
If a type in the Prayer Beads tab is below its maximum or missing, check these sources:
- Gust (III): A Maze of Death story pickup, Hatsuike Shrine, Kamio Shrine.
- Aqua (III): Yamaki Shrine, Toyoi Shrine, Kappagaike Torii Gate.
- Flame (III): Kirigaoka Shrine (inside the shrine), Mikubo Shrine, Akitsu Shrine.
- Archery (III): Morite Shrine, Matsumi Shrine, Namihara Shrine.
- Sleuth (III): Hirokawa Shrine (upper courtyard, right side), Shiratsuki Shrine, Onten Shrine.
- Spirit Perception (II): Hitani Shrine, Saihama Building Rooftop Torii Gate.
- Nourishment (III): Hirajuku Building Rooftop Torii Gate, Tatsui Shrine, Sakano Shrine.
- Talisman (II): Momokane Building Rooftop Torii Gate, Shimokusa Shrine.
- Prosperity: Chishima Shrine.
- Incognito: Noto Shrine.
- Self-Defense (III): Playful Nekomata (3 requests), Antique Nekomata (5), Netsuke Collector Nekomata (all 16).
- Astral (III): Musical Nekomata (3 requests), Doll Fanatic Nekomata (6), Archeology Nekomata (all 7).
- Transmission: finish the story and load the clear save.
- Tireless and Shadow: reach 100% spirits, then finish the story from the clear save.
At the end of the Chapter 4 sweep, before you ride the motorcycle toward the finale, open the Prayer Beads tab and hover all 23 bead sites on the map for any highlighted bead. The target is 30 of 33 owned, with only Transmission, Tireless and Shadow outstanding. Nothing is permanently missable, since shrines, gates and stalls all stay available in post-story free roam, but finishing here saves a cleanup trip.
The three endgame beads appear in your inventory when you load the clear save after the credits. Transmission is awarded for any story clear. Tireless and Shadow both need 100% of spirits transferred before the final clear. If you reached 100% only after clearing, the clear save returns you to before the point of no return, so finish Chapters 5 and 6 again from there. The achievement should unlock as soon as the 33rd bead is owned. Every non-unlock report checked so far traced back to an uncollected altar bead or a rank-order mix-up, so recheck the list above before assuming a bug.
▶Visiting Hours Are Over
Defeat at least one of every base-game Visitor type. The achievement excludes the Spider's Thread update Visitors, but several base Visitors are encountered through late story content, so the safest time to verify this is after the first story clear. The four story bosses are guaranteed by finishing the story.
Check the Visitor section of the Database. If the achievement has not unlocked, identify any base entry you have not defeated and hunt that type in the restored Chapter 4 city. The usual missing types are Forsaken (the red-raincoat child, with only a few open-world spawns such as the parks east of Chishima Shrine and east of Tatsui Shrine and a parking lot northwest of Onten Shrine) and Forlorn (the yellow-raincoat child). Both flee when they notice you and can take a long time to respawn, so save before approaching and Quick Purge them from behind. Do not waste time repeating bosses or update-only enemies that are already recorded.
▶Final Campaign Combat Cleanup
Before leaving the campaign for Spider's Thread, check the achievement tracker for the cumulative combat tasks introduced earlier: Silent Kill, Soul Breaker, Take a Bow, Go For the Eyes, Master of Blocking, In Sync, Freeze, Scumbag, A Shrubbery!, Left Yourself Open, Figure Aficionado, and Big Spender.
If any remain, finish them now in the open city. Containment Cube battles are still the best multipurpose farm because enemies focus on the cubes, giving you easy Quick Purges, headshots, core exposures, and talisman setups. With the 100%-clear prayer beads available, combat cleanup is substantially faster than it was during the story.
▶The Spider's Thread Mode
▶First Runs and Permanent Progress
The Spider's Thread is a separate roguelite-style mode selected from the main menu once the campaign has passed Chapter 2. It has its own Synergy level and skill tree; campaign level, skills, and equipment do not carry into it. Inside the mode, Synergy levels, purchased skills, purchased or upgraded beads, Spirit Thread, and completed Job Catalogue entries carry between failed runs. Koban, Chaos Beads, and any cats you are carrying are lost on death.
Each floor set is two normal floors followed by a fixed boss floor, then the Cat's Paw safe area. Dying sends you back to the beginning of a new run, but the permanent upgrades you have earned remain. You can therefore treat early attempts as progression runs instead of failed completion attempts.
For the achievement route, focus on optional objectives and Job Catalogue tasks from the beginning. Explore every floor enough to recognize useful variants, rescue cats whenever you hear a meow, collect yokai when a job needs them, and bank rescued cats by surviving to the next Cat's Paw.
The most useful long-term target is mode Synergy Level 50. At that point Iron Beads can be crafted for 40 Spirit Thread. They let your attacks kill almost everything in one hit, but incoming damage, corruption, and lava-type floor hazards can also kill you in one hit. This trade is extremely powerful for the hardest catalogue tasks, especially the no-damage run.
▶Reach Floor 30
Do not feel obligated to clear floor 30 on your first serious attempt. If you are underpowered, repeatedly complete manageable optional objectives on early floors, collect Spirit Threads, and build permanent skills and beads. The mode is designed around repeated attempts.
Once your build is strong, push the full route. Every third floor returns you to a safe hub after the boss floor, so use those stops to buy, craft, and adjust your loadout.
▶Views From the Abyss
Complete floor 30 of The Spider's Thread. The achievement unlocks when the floor-30 boss is defeated and the completion registers. The mode can continue beyond that point, but floor 30 is the achievement threshold.
If normal combat is slowing the run, reach Synergy Level 50 first and craft Iron Beads once you have the required Spirit Threads. Pair them with movement or survivability-oriented beads and favor safe ranged attacks. Remove Iron Beads temporarily if a floor's hazards make the one-hit drawback more dangerous than the damage benefit.

DLC
After floor 30, continue specifically for Nekomata Job Catalogue completion. Sources count the catalogue differently depending on whether the final meta-completion entry is included, so the useful player-facing rule is simpler: every visible Nekomata job must show complete. Do not stop based on an external job-count number.
The catalogue mixes normal combat and progression tasks with several time-consuming collection and challenge jobs. The biggest completion traps are the unique cats, RNG floor variants, specific yokai, full upgrades, and the two no-damage jobs.
Lost cats. Two cat jobs exist: one for rescuing 3 lost cats, which completes on the way, and one for rescuing all 20. The 20 cats are 1 event cat plus 19 floor cats. The event cat is handed to you automatically the first time you reach floor 4. The other 19 each live at a fixed spot on one specific map variant, and each variant only appears on one fixed floor pair, as either floor of that pair. Cats are spread over the normal floor pairs as follows: 4/5 has 3 (including the event cat), 16/17 has 3, and 7/8, 10/11, 13/14, 19/20, 22/23, 25/26, and 28/29 have 2 each. Floors 1/2, every boss floor, and the Cat's Paw never hold cats.
Each map variant is identified by its clear objective and its collectible counts (money pots, food, Spirit Thread, spirits, and yokai icons), shown on the left of the screen when the floor loads and again in the pause menu. These never change for a given map, so use the Collectibles list at the end of this guide to decide in seconds whether a floor is a cat variant. Objective names there describe the objective type; match on type plus counts rather than exact wording.
A meow when a floor loads is the reliable detector: it means that variant's cat is present and not yet banked. No meow means either the variant has no cat or you already banked it. Paw prints or a guiding beam can still show on a variant whose cat is already banked, so trust the meow. When you hear one, equip Spirit Perception Beads at Lv3, which show a blue guiding light toward the cat; beads can be swapped mid-floor. Spirit Vision paw prints are partial hints only. Ground cats run from point to point as you approach, meowing again when close or when they move, so follow them until they let you pick them up. Cats on rooftops or gates can be picked up directly. The floor 13/14 painting-riddle cat sits on a rooftop reached by the elevator, and the floor 25/26 temari-ball cat sits on top of the big torii gate and needs at least 2 Updraft talismans, so carry 2 or more Updraft at all times while hunting. If you want to retrace a route, the map screen's Return to Starting Point option (hover over the start marker) teleports you to the floor start without resetting the floor.
A rescued cat only counts once you carry it to the next Cat's Paw, which means finishing any remaining normal floor and the set's boss floor. You can carry up to 2 cats in one set. Dying, rerolling, quitting, or starting NG+ before that hub loses the carried cat, but floor cats always respawn on their variant, so you simply rescue it again. Once banked, a cat never needs rescuing again. The 28/29 cats bank at the Cat's Paw after the floor-30 final boss, so catching them means clearing floor 30 with the cat in hand. Taking Iron Beads off on carry floors and putting them back on for the boss is a sensible precaution.
The yokai jobs ask for three of each of seven yokai types: Nurikabe, Kamaitachi, Rokurokubi, Ittan-momen, Kodama, Oni, and Karakasa-kozo. A yokai counts once you reach the next floor, but not if you reroll back to the Cat's Paw after absorbing it. Several cat pairs share yokai pools, and the floor 25/26 exorcise variant holds both a cat and a Nurikabe, so on a floor with a needed yokai and a cat, take both and do not reroll.
Floor variants can be rerolled from the Cat's Paw by choosing to return to The Cat's Paw from the pause menu (on Xbox, View then Y), or by quitting to the main menu and continuing. Either way you respawn at the Cat's Paw at the start of the current set. Returning to the Cat's Paw is not available during combat, so use Quit to Main Menu and Continue instead. Both normal floors of a set draw from the same pool, so reroll on the first normal floor when it has no meow or the wrong yokai, but never while carrying a cat or right after absorbing a needed yokai. After floor 30, the mode keeps cycling through floor variants and cats do appear there, so continuing deeper can also surface missing catalogue content, but for cats, targeted rerolls on floors 4 to 29 are the dependable method.
The game never tells you which cat is missing, so tick each cat off the Collectibles list as soon as it is banked. Banked cats appear in the Cat's Paw at random positions, and each cat's fur pattern is fixed. The full set is 1 white cat with black spots and a necklace (the event cat), 7 grey tabby, 4 black-and-white tuxedo, 3 white, 2 calico, 2 orange, and 1 black. If you are stuck at 19/20:
- Check for the necklace cat in the Cat's Paw first. If it is there, the event cat is not your missing cat, whatever forum posts say about the floor-4 cat vanishing; one player who made that claim later found his missing cat on floor 16.
- Count the Cat's Paw cats by fur pattern against the full set. The pattern that is one short narrows the floor pairs to check: black is only on 19/20; orange is on 10/11 and 19/20; calico is on 7/8 and 25/26; white is on 10/11, 16/17, and 22/23; tuxedo is on 4/5, 13/14, 22/23, and 28/29; grey tabby is on 4/5, 7/8, 13/14, 16/17 (two), 25/26, and 28/29.
- If calico is short, check the 25/26 torii-gate cat first. It is high up, leaves no paw prints, only the meow gives it away, and it needs 2 Updraft.
- For each candidate pair, reach the Cat's Paw that starts it, load the first normal floor, and read the objective and counts.
- If the floor is not one of that pair's cat variants, reroll at once.
- If it is a cat variant and there is no meow, that cat is already banked, so cross it off and keep rerolling for the pair's other variant.
- If it is a cat variant and you hear a meow, that is your missing cat. Rescue it and carry it to the next Cat's Paw without rerolling, quitting, or dying.
- If the pattern count is unclear, for example tabby versus another cat, run steps 4 to 7 across all nine pairs until every cat variant has loaded at least once with no meow.
- If the necklace cat is the one actually missing, no verified recovery is known. Deeper floors or a fresh run are anecdotal options only.
There are two no-damage jobs: a cumulative one for completing 30 floors without taking damage, and a single-run one for clearing floors 1 through 30 without taking damage on any floor. Do the single-run job late, after your permanent build is mature. Iron Beads make most threats die instantly, but they also make any hit catastrophic, so play from range, learn dangerous floor hazards, and reroll an unfavorable opening variant rather than forcing a bad run.
▶Catalog Conqueror
Complete every Nekomata job in The Spider's Thread. The achievement unlocks when the Job Catalogue is fully complete.
The efficient order is:
- Build permanent levels, skills, beads, and currency while completing easy jobs naturally.
- Reach Synergy Level 50 and obtain Iron Beads.
- Clear floor 30 for Views From the Abyss if you have not already done so.
- Hunt remaining cats and yokai by listening for cat spawns and rerolling floor variants from Cat's Paw when needed.
- Finish specialized combat, collection, upgrade, and figure jobs shown in the catalogue.
- Attempt the floor 1-30 no-damage job only after the build and floor knowledge make it reliable.
- Keep checking the in-game Job Catalogue until every entry is complete rather than relying on a third-party total.
Catalog Conqueror is usually the final achievement because the last few cats or floor-specific jobs can take substantial RNG. Nothing in this mode requires online play or another player.
▶Final 66/66 Check
▶If Something Did Not Unlock
At this point the Xbox list should show all 66 achievements and 1,180G. If one remains, use the in-game Database and Xbox achievement tracker to diagnose the exact category rather than repeating the entire game.
For campaign collectibles, compare the missing Database entry or shrine-region total against the matching list in the Collectibles section, which covers voice logs, KK notes, spirit photographs, side missions, landmarks, food and drink, prayer beads, and Spider's Thread cats. For spirits, verify the global transferred total rather than katashiro contents. For base side missions, remember that update missions do not count toward Wishmaker. For Hero of Shibuya, the story must be completed after the 100% transfer threshold has already been reached. For prayer beads, make sure the cleared-save endgame rewards were actually received. For Spider's Thread, trust the Job Catalogue itself and keep hunting only the entries that are still incomplete.

▶Voice Logs
17 in the game
Voice logs count toward Echoes of the Past (first log) and The Whole Truth (all 17). The Spider's Thread update added none. They have no map markers, detector, or region counter, so compare the Database Voice Logs list against this list. Picking a log up is enough; you do not need to listen to it. Nothing here is permanently missable: the cleared save restores the pre-motorcycle city, and File #999 can be collected again by riding the motorcycle back into Chapter 5.

▶Base Side Missions
42 in the game
These are the 42 base-game side missions that count for Wishmaker. Update side missions (the school missions and every Spirits in the Modern Age set) do not count, even though the game lists them as side missions.
Most missions show a green circle marker once their shrine or story gate is met. The ones that start late, by proximity, or from a payphone or inspection are noted in their entries. Only the After the End trio can expire on a first story run, and it returns after the credits.

▶Landmarks
31 in the game
Landmarks count toward Shibuya Is My Back Yard. All 31 are required, and the Spider's Thread update added none. Each registers automatically when you get close, usually within about 50 meters of its map icon; Ginpei Restricted Area is the exception and needs the taped tree at the boundary fence. None are permanently missable.
Hover any discovered landmark icon on the map for the x/31 counter. The Database Landmarks tab lists only discovered landmarks, so compare it against this list to find a missing name. Landmarks that share a name with a shrine or torii gate are separate records from the cleanse.

▶Prayer Beads
33 in the game
The 33 base-game prayer beads counted by Power Overwhelming, listed by source. Rank numerals follow the order you pick beads up, so each entry is identified by where it comes from, not by its numeral.
Shrine and torii gate beads must be picked up from an altar in the grounds after the cleanse; hover the map icon to check (highlighted means unclaimed, grey means claimed). Nekomata beads arrive on the stall's bonus track, and endgame beads appear in the inventory when you load the clear save. Nothing here is permanently missable.
Gust Beads — A Maze of Death — Picked up automatically on the outer upper levels of the Shibuya Kagerie Retail Complex during this Chapter 2 main mission. Kuo Shrine's own cleanse gives a talisman, not this bead.

▶Spider's Thread Lost Cats
DLC20 in the game
The 20 lost cats feed the two Spider's Thread cat jobs (rescue 3, rescue all) and therefore Catalog Conqueror. One cat is given automatically on your first arrival at floor 4; the other 19 each sit at a fixed spot on one map variant of a fixed floor pair. Identify a variant by the objective and collectible counts shown at floor load or in the pause menu (G money pots, F food, T Spirit Thread, Sp spirits); objective names describe the type, not exact on-screen wording. A meow at load means the cat is present and unbanked; follow the Spirit Perception Beads Lv3 beam to it, then carry it to the next Cat's Paw to bank it.
Fur patterns are fixed per cat but are shown here per floor pair, because which cat in a pair has which coat is not confirmed except for the event cat and the torii calico. Where two sources disagree on a count, only the agreed counts are listed. One of the two 7/8 cats is in a narrow alley beside the exit beacon on the lion-masks floor, an alley that looks too small to enter; which 7/8 variant that is has not been confirmed.
Floor 4 — first-arrival event cat — Given automatically by a scripted event the first time you reach floor 4; it is not on a rerollable map. White with black spots and a necklace, the only one. Bank it at the floor-7 Cat's Paw; recovery if you die first is UNVERIFIED, so play floors 4 to 6 carefully on your first run.
Floors 4/5 — lower-floor entrance cat (4G 6F) — Reach-the-lower-floor-entrance objective, 4 money pots and 6 food. Spot not documented; use the meow and the Lv3 bead beam. This pair's floor cats are a tabby and a tuxedo.
Floors 4/5 — lower-floor entrance cat (5G 6F 1T 1Sp) — Reach-the-lower-floor-entrance objective, 5 money pots, 6 food, 1 Spirit Thread, 1 spirit. Spot not documented; use the meow and the Lv3 bead beam. This pair's floor cats are a tabby and a tuxedo.
Floors 7/8 — lower-floor entrance cat (9G 5F 1T 1Sp) — Reach-the-lower-floor-entrance objective, 9 money pots, 5 food, 1 Spirit Thread, 1 spirit. Use the meow and the Lv3 bead beam. This pair's cats are a calico and a tabby.

Floors 10/11 — lower-floor entrance cat (2Sp, no Spirit Thread) — Reach-the-lower-floor-entrance objective with 2 spirits and no Spirit Thread or yokai; money and food counts vary between sources. The other entrance map on this pair has Spirit Thread and a Rokurokubi and no cat. Pair cats: orange and white.
Floors 10/11 — exorcise-the-evil-spirit cat (6G 5F) — Exorcise-the-evil-spirit objective, 6 money pots and 5 food. Spot not documented; use the meow and the Lv3 bead beam. This pair's cats are an orange and a white.

Floors 13/14 — painting riddle rooftop cat (1G 3F) — Take-the-correct-item objective, a three-choice painting riddle whose answer is the Sharaku painting; 1 money pot, 3 food. The cat is on top of a building: ride the elevator up, or use an Updraft talisman. Pair cats: tabby and tuxedo.
Floors 16/17 — lower-floor entrance cat (4G 2F 1T 1Sp) — Reach-the-lower-floor-entrance objective, 4 money pots, 2 food, 1 Spirit Thread, 1 spirit. Use the meow and the Lv3 bead beam, and avoid the roaming Infernal Kuchisake while carrying. Pair cats: white and two tabbies.
Floors 16/17 — defeat-7-enemies cat (5G 3F 1T) — Defeat-enemies objective (7 enemies), 5 money pots, 3 food, 1 Spirit Thread. Spot not documented; use the meow and the Lv3 bead beam. This pair's cats are a white and two tabbies.

Floors 25/26 — temari-ball torii gate cat (4F 2Sp) — Collect-the-temari-balls objective on the Shibuya shopping-complex floor, 4 food, 2 spirits; the money count varies between sources. A calico on top of the big torii gate, with no paw prints; needs at least 2 Updraft talismans.
