▶Before You Start
Halo: Campaign Evolved has 58 achievements worth 1,000 Gamerscore. The Xbox Series X|S and Xbox PC versions share one Play Anywhere list. There is no DLC or title-update achievement content.
- Online: nothing requires online play or co-op. Co-op is optional but makes LASO far easier.
- Missables: none. Every mission, rally point, skull and terminal can be replayed from the menu, and every skull and terminal can be collected again on a replay.
- Unobtainable achievements: none, as of 2026-10-07.
- Playthroughs: plan on four passes. One Heroic campaign with all collectibles, an Easy cleanup of mission feats and skull challenges, a deathless Campaign Remix pass, and a LASO run.
- Hardest items: MYTHIC (the whole campaign on LASO), Mix Master (all 13 Remixed missions without dying), Arm's Length, and the timed Catch skull on Keyes.
▶The Campaign Structure
The main campaign is the ten classic missions in their original order, from The Pillar of Autumn to The Maw.
Operation: METEORITE is a separate three-mission prequel under Campaign > Bonus Missions:
- Boarding Action
- The Most Dangerous Game
- Heavy Burden
It is available from the start. This guide plays it right after The Maw, but you can play it first if you prefer.
Each mission becomes selectable once you have reached it, and you can then start it from any rally point it has unlocked. Difficulty is chosen each time you start a New Game from the menu. Each mission holds exactly three skulls and one terminal, for 39 skulls and 13 terminals in all.
Three more skulls (Adaptation, Reload and Armistice) unlock automatically once you have collected any three skulls. They are not part of the 39 that the achievements count.
▶Settings That Block Achievements
Modifier Presets. These are found under Settings > Gameplay > Modifier Preset. While a preset is active, the following 11 achievements cannot unlock:
- Heroes Never Die
- Living Legend
- Beat the Drop
- Mix Master
- Hot Streak
- Like Old Times
- Frugal Fire
- MYTHIC
- Map Quest
- Jiralhanae Conservationist
- All Shield, No Yield
In co-op, every member of the fireteam must have the preset set to None. Leave it on None for this entire guide.
Restricted skulls. Halo Support confirms that the Acrophobia and Bandana skulls block certain achievements, but it does not say which ones. Safest route: never have either skull on while working toward anything in this guide, unless a section says otherwise.
Rally points. Some achievements need the mission played from the very beginning, and starting from a later rally point can void them. Halo Support confirms this for Clean Lap. Safest route: start every feat and skull-challenge attempt from the beginning of the mission.
▶Route Overview
- Heroic campaign, all 13 missions. Collect every skull and terminal as you go, grab the Catch skull on Keyes, and work on the six counter achievements. Heroic is needed for the Catch skull, and it also unlocks Greenhorn, Birth of a Spartan and Heroes Never Die. It collects the 17 skulls that open LASO and the skulls that the skull challenges require.
- Easy cleanup through mission select. Do every mission feat and skull challenge, in mission order.
- Campaign Remix on Easy. Complete all 13 missions without dying.
- LASO, all 13 missions. This earns MYTHIC, and community guides report that it also awards Living Legend.
If you'd rather not attempt LASO solo, line up a co-op partner for step 4 now.
▶Current Status and Known Issues
These are the known issues as of 2026-10-07. The last patch was August 17, 2026.
- Mix Master stuck at 92% (CURRENTLY COMMUNITY-FLAGGED / BUGGY). Players have reported this into September 2026. See the Campaign Remix section for the safe way to play it.
- Delayed unlocks. Unlocks can be delayed. Halo Support says most arrive within 24 to 72 hours. If a tracker seems stuck, pick up the first skull in The Pillar of Autumn (Speed Limit, in the opening cryo room) with modifiers off to force a sync.
- Co-op credit for non-hosts (CURRENTLY COMMUNITY-FLAGGED / BUGGY). There are reports through late September 2026 of non-host players missing mission or difficulty credit, most often for The Maw. Replaying the missing mission as the host has fixed it for players.
- Split-screen notifications. Player 2 may not see achievement pop-ups until the group returns to the menu. Their progress is still tracked.
- Heavy Burden co-op cutscene (CURRENTLY COMMUNITY-FLAGGED / BUGGY). Halo Support's known-issues list (updated 2026-08-19) says skipping the cutscene before the space section in co-op can cause stability problems. Let it play.
- Two Betrayals Banshee (CURRENTLY COMMUNITY-FLAGGED / BUGGY). Halo Support's known-issues list (updated 2026-08-19) says you cannot progress if you destroy the Banshee after the first generator in Two Betrayals. No later patch has addressed it.
▶Heroic Campaign and Collectibles
Start a New Game on Heroic with Modifier Preset set to None and no skulls active. Play the ten main missions in order, then Operation: METEORITE.
Play each mission from its start in one sitting where you can. Players have reported missions started from a later rally point failing to count toward the difficulty achievements.
After every skull or terminal pickup, wait for the on-screen notification, and reach the next checkpoint before you use Save and Quit. The game has no per-mission collectible counter. The main menu's Collectibles screen lists every skull and terminal you have, and each mission's collectible achievement confirms you have all four.
Leave the mission feats and skull challenges for the Easy pass. Most are much easier on Easy, several need skulls you have not found yet, and the rest need a clean run from the start of the mission.
▶Counters to Build All Game
All six counters are cumulative across missions, sessions and playthroughs, and difficulty doesn't matter. Most fill naturally over four playthroughs. Two of them need a deliberate push.
▶Bad Gas
Bad Gas10G
Shoot or melee the methane tanks on Grunts' backs. The early missions are full of Grunts, so aim for the tanks whenever you can.
▶Plate Tectonics
Shoot the armor plate off a Hunter's back. You don't have to kill the Hunter for it to count. You meet Hunter pairs in Truth and Reconciliation, The Silent Cartographer and later missions, so knock the plates off each pair before you finish it.
▶New Whip
New Whip10G
This is the counter most players end up short on, so do it on purpose. Walk up to an occupied Ghost, Wraith or Banshee and hold the interact prompt to board it and throw the driver out. Assault on the Control Room has plenty of Ghosts, and it is covered in that mission below.
▶Disarmed
Disarmed10G
Shoot the arms off Flood combat forms. A shotgun blast usually strips them. The Flood-heavy missions (343 Guilty Spark, The Library, Two Betrayals, Keyes, The Maw) will finish this for you.
▶Claims Adjuster
Shoot or blow parts off vehicles, both Covenant and your own. Most players fill this through normal play.
If you are short at the end, the best farm is the flying section of Heavy Burden:
- Start Heavy Burden from Rally Point Delta.
- Shoot parts off the enemy vehicles.
- Reload the checkpoint and repeat. Progress keeps counting through reloads.
Destroying parked or empty vehicles also counts. Another farm has been reported in the mission Halo: start from Rally Point Bravo, drive a Warthog over the edge into the pit at the light bridge, respawn and repeat.
▶Make Them Count
Kill 100 enemies with headshots. The Magnum, Battle Rifle and Sniper Rifle will get you there well before the end of the first playthrough.
▶The Pillar of Autumn
▶Collectibles · 4 4 collectibles
Speed Limit (The Pillar of Autumn) — Opening cryo room: climb the tanks under the UNSC logo to the catwalk and follow it to the window end. Rally Point Alpha.
Magnified (The Pillar of Autumn) — On top of a central weapon rack in the armory you enter unarmed. Rally Point Alpha.
Perspective (The Pillar of Autumn) — After the bridge cutscene, drop below the pilots' seats to the viewport floor by the ladder. Rally Point Bravo.
Approach (The Pillar of Autumn) — Leave the cracked-window cryo overlook by the far door and take the first left into the red-lit side room. Rally Point Charlie.
These are the collectibles:
- Speed Limit skull (Rally Point Alpha): in the opening cryo room. Climb the two cylinder tanks against the back wall under the UNSC logo, jumping from the nearby console if that helps. Then jump to the catwalk with yellow tape and follow it to the end by the window.
- Magnified skull (Rally Point Alpha): in the armory a Marine leads you into while you are unarmed. It sits on top of one of the central weapon racks, so check the tops of the middle racks, starting with the first one you reach.
- Perspective skull (Rally Point Bravo): after the bridge cutscene, drop down below the pilots' seats at the front of the bridge. It is on the low floor of the viewport by the foot of the ladder.
- Approach terminal (Rally Point Charlie): late in the mission, after the vents, you reach the control room with a cracked window overlooking the cryo bay. Leave through the far door, take the first left into a small dark red-lit side room, and the terminal is at the back.
▶Cranial
Cranial10G
This unlocks with the first skull you pick up, which will be Speed Limit.
▶Clean Sweep
Clean Sweep20G
This unlocks once the three skulls and the terminal in this mission are collected. Picking up any three skulls also unlocks Campaign Remix and its three skulls, but leave Remix until later.
▶The Autumn Leaves
Complete the mission.
▶All Shield, No Yield
You must finish any mission on Heroic or higher without taking any health damage. Shield damage is fine. Do it now while Heroic is selected: return to the menu and replay The Pillar of Autumn from the start. It is the shortest mission with the fewest enemies.
- Equip nothing that makes things easier, especially Bandana.
- Let the Marines lead, and back off the moment your shield starts to flash.
- Grab the paired Overshields along the way.
- Throw grenades at the Elite rather than trading shots with him.
The achievement unlocks when you complete the mission without losing any health.
Required: if you take health damage, quit and restart the mission from the start. Reloading a checkpoint doesn't save the attempt.
▶Halo
▶Collectibles · 4 4 collectibles
Forgotten (Halo) — First Warthog tunnel: through the gap in the right wall to the first ledge below, then turn around. Rally Point Alpha.
Grunt Funeral (Halo) — Left-most lifeboat site: climb the spire's diagonal slope, then frag-grenade jump to the higher ledge. Rally Point Charlie.
Give & Take (Halo) — Upstream in the central river cave, behind the boulder with fireflies. Rally Point Charlie.
Floor Is Lava (Halo) — Right-most lifeboat site: from the sloped grassy rock, leap to the next rock, then drop onto the lone rock near the scorch marks. Rally Point Charlie.
These are the collectibles:
- Forgotten terminal (Rally Point Alpha): in the first metal tunnel after you get the Warthog. Just after the first right bend and the two ramps, stop at the large gap in the right-hand wall. Step through and drop onto the first small ledge only, then turn around. The terminal is in the recess facing back toward the wall.
The mission ends automatically as soon as the last enemies at the lifeboat sites die, so grab these three skulls before finishing each site.
- Grunt Funeral skull (Rally Point Charlie): on the large Forerunner spire at the left-most lifeboat site. Climb the diagonal slope as far as it goes. Then throw a frag grenade at your feet and jump with the blast across to the higher ledge holding the skull.
- Give & Take skull (Rally Point Charlie): follow the river upstream into the central cave between the middle and right-hand sites. The skull floats behind the large boulder with fireflies around it.
- Floor Is Lava skull (Rally Point Charlie): at the right-most site, the rock maze with Jackal snipers. Climb the sloped grassy rock at the back and leap the gap to the next grass-topped rock. Then drop onto the lone rock just downhill near the lifeboat's scorch marks.
▶Successful Search
This unlocks once the three skulls and the terminal in Halo are collected.
▶Installation 04
Complete the mission.
▶Truth and Reconciliation
▶Collectibles · 4 4 collectibles
Iron (Truth and Reconciliation) — Before the gravity lift, on a small ledge over the back cliff edge by the upright-leaved tree and white light strip. Rally Point Alpha.
Endurance Spec (Truth and Reconciliation) — Cargo bay with two wrecked Wraiths: from the purple container, sprint-jump along the struts to the third, farthest one. Rally Point Bravo.
Foreign (Truth and Reconciliation) — Hangar: dash through the right-side locked door when reinforcements open it. Rally Point Bravo.
Inquisitor (Truth and Reconciliation) — Detention: drop the cell shields at the console; the lower cell with a dead Marine. Rally Point Charlie.
These are the collectibles:
- Iron skull (Rally Point Alpha): outside, before you take the gravity lift. Clear the area, including the Hunters. Then go to the back cliff edge near the tree with upright leaves, the cactus-like plants and a white light strip set into the ground. Look over the edge: the skull is on a small ledge below. If you can't climb back up, reload the checkpoint once the pickup notification has appeared, and later confirm Iron is listed on the main menu's Collectibles screen.
- Endurance Spec skull (Rally Point Bravo): in the cargo bay with two destroyed Wraiths. Enter on the upper walkway, go to the far end and turn right. The skull is on the third curved purple strut, the farthest one. Jump onto the purple container, then sprint-jump onto the sloped part of the first strut. Keep moving across the second to the third without stopping, or you slide off. If you fall, a doorway in the corner loops back up to the walkway.
- Foreign skull (Rally Point Bravo): in the hangar with the departing dropship, wait by the locked door on the right side, back corner. It opens briefly when reinforcements come out of it, so dash in. The skull is on the floor inside. Don't wipe out every enemy first; if the door closes, wait for the next spawn.
- Inquisitor terminal (Rally Point Charlie): past the room with three Jackals and the room with two Elites, take the door immediately on your right into detention. Use the central console to drop the cell shields. The terminal is in the lower-level cell with a dead Marine, not Keyes's cell.
This is also the first mission with a Hunter pair, so break their backplates for Plate Tectonics.
▶Plundered
Plundered20G
This unlocks once the three skulls and the terminal in Truth and Reconciliation are collected.
▶Infiltration Anticipation
Complete the mission.
▶The Silent Cartographer
▶Collectibles · 4 4 collectibles
Bandana (The Silent Cartographer) — Cave beside the main facility entrance, in the sunlit clearing. Rally Point Alpha.
Acrophobia (The Silent Cartographer) — Two-Hunter arena: climb the central structure's beam and walk to the raised end behind a tree. Rally Point Bravo.
Status Update (The Silent Cartographer) — Security override room, behind the small split metal plinth at the far end. Rally Point Bravo.
Hip Fire (The Silent Cartographer) — After the override, past the two Hunters by the blue-lit ramp, on a ledge far below the edge. Rally Point Charlie.
These are the collectibles:
- Bandana skull (Rally Point Alpha): in the cave beside the main facility entrance, on the ground in a sunlit clearing.
- Acrophobia skull (Rally Point Bravo): in the circular arena with two Hunters. Kill them, climb the central structure's diagonal beam, and turn and jump onto its central section. Then walk the horizontal beam to the raised end behind a tree, against the rock face.
- Status Update terminal (Rally Point Bravo): in the security override room. Go past the holographic console to the end of the room, and the terminal is tucked behind the small split metal plinth.
- Hip Fire skull (Rally Point Charlie): after the override, back in the first underground facility, kill the two Hunters by the lit ramp with blue lighting. Look over the edge for a small ledge far below, and walk off from slightly further down the slope to land on it.
Do not equip Bandana or Acrophobia now or at any point in this guide.
▶Buried Treasure
This unlocks once the three skulls and the terminal in The Silent Cartographer are collected.
▶Bee Thirty
Bee Thirty10G
Complete the mission.
▶Assault on the Control Room
▶Collectibles · 4 4 collectibles
IWHBYD (Assault on the Control Room) — Past the narrow bridge, park the Scorpion at the icy wall on the left and jump from it into the ice alcove. Rally Point Bravo.
Tangent I (Assault on the Control Room) — Central Forerunner structure at the fork: up the inner ramp, right along the balcony. Rally Point Charlie.
Angry (Assault on the Control Room) — Top of the third, farthest metal arch over the trench. Rally Point Charlie.
Cowbell (Assault on the Control Room) — Drop from the middle of the two-Banshee bridge onto the structure beneath it and turn around. Rally Point Echo.
These are the collectibles:
- IWHBYD skull (Rally Point Bravo): you need the Scorpion. After the narrow bridge over the chasm, drive left to the end of the path at an icy wall and park against it. Climb onto the tank, using the cannon as a step, and jump into the small alcove in the ice.
- Tangent I terminal (Rally Point Charlie): after the ice tunnel, enter the tall central Forerunner structure at the fork on foot. A cloaked sword Elite waits inside. Go up the inner ramp to the balcony and turn right, and the terminal is at the end of the walkway. If you see Hunters, you've gone too far.
- Angry skull (Rally Point Charlie): past the narrow cave, on top of the third and farthest of the three metal arches over the trench.
- Cowbell skull (Rally Point Echo): on the outside bridge with two Banshees, drop from the middle of the bridge onto the structure beneath it and turn around. The skull is tucked under the bridge.
This mission has plenty of Ghosts, so use it for New Whip. Every time a Ghost approaches with a driver, step to its side and hold the prompt to board it. If you finish the mission still short of 10, come back later on Easy, start from Rally Point Charlie and keep boarding Ghosts.
▶Stowed in Snow
This unlocks once the three skulls and the terminal in Assault on the Control Room are collected.
▶Control Alt Delete
Complete the mission.
▶343 Guilty Spark
▶Collectibles · 4 4 collectibles
Fog (343 Guilty Spark) — Left of the tree-crashed dropship, on a rock overlooking the fallen log. Rally Point Alpha.
That's Just... Wrong (343 Guilty Spark) — Dropped by the terrified Marine inside the facility when you kill him. Rally Point Bravo.
Tangent II (343 Guilty Spark) — Escape route: room with dead Marines and shotguns, behind the central dividing wall. Rally Point Bravo.
They Come Back (343 Guilty Spark) — Evac defence: dark forest right of or behind the tower, up the fallen tree trunk to the rock ledge. Take it before the last kills. Rally Point Charlie.
These are the collectibles:
- Fog skull (Rally Point Alpha): early, by the Covenant dropship crashed in a tree. Go up the slope left of the ship and turn right at the top, then climb past the big roots. The skull is on a rock overlooking the fallen log, so grab it before you cross.
- That's Just... Wrong skull (Rally Point Bravo): a terrified Marine inside the bloody part of the facility shoots at you. Kill him and the skull drops.
- Tangent II terminal (Rally Point Bravo): during the escape, after the lift falls, cross back over the light bridge into the room with dead Marines and shotguns. Ignore the objective door and loop behind the thin central dividing wall into the narrow hallway behind it.
- They Come Back skull (Rally Point Charlie): during the evacuation defence, go right of or behind the lit tower into the dark forest. Climb onto the rock at the base of the big fallen tree and walk up its trunk to the higher rock ledge. Grab it before you kill the last enemies, because clearing them ends the mission.
▶Proto Gravemind
This unlocks once the three skulls and the terminal in 343 Guilty Spark are collected.
▶This Stuff is Your History
Complete the mission.
▶The Library
▶Collectibles · 4 4 collectibles
Tilt (The Library) — After the first Flood tunnel, top of the sloped strut beside the entry door. Rally Point Alpha.
Tangent III (The Library) — Left panel in the two-panel room, through its door and past the blocking growth, beside a dead Marine. Rally Point Bravo.
Pop (The Library) — Opposite the door Guilty Spark waits by: climb the metal slope and jump the columns to the narrow ledge. Rally Point Bravo.
Famine (The Library) — Bottom of the final elevator: down the ramp, then the small Flood alcove immediately left. Rally Point Charlie.
These are the collectibles:
- Tilt skull (Rally Point Alpha): after the first Flood tunnel, as you enter the room with Sentinels, turn right. Climb the sloped strut beside the door you came through, and the skull is at the top.
- Tangent III terminal (Rally Point Bravo): after the first elevator, in the room with two panels, use the left one, not the objective. Go through the door it opens, shoot or crouch through the wall of growth blocking the gap, and the terminal is at the end beside a dead Marine.
- Pop skull (Rally Point Bravo): where the paths meet at the door Guilty Spark waits by, turn away from that door. Climb the metal slope on the opposite wall, sprint-jump across the decorative columns and land on the narrow ledge.
- Famine skull (Rally Point Charlie): at the bottom of the final big elevator, go down the ramp and turn left immediately into the small Flood alcove. It blends into the growth.
▶Timeless Tomes
This unlocks once the three skulls and the terminal in The Library are collected.
▶Protocol Dictates Action
Complete the mission.
▶Two Betrayals
▶Collectibles · 4 4 collectibles
Alone (Two Betrayals) — At the start, behind the giant hologram globe after the four Sentinels. Rally Point Alpha.
Tough Luck (Two Betrayals) — Fly a Banshee to the ledge at the top of the fin in front of the blue beam. Rally Point Alpha.
Black Eye (Two Betrayals) — Canyon with three arch bridges: across the middle arch, in the Flood dead end on the right. Rally Point Charlie.
Mythic (Two Betrayals) — Panel on top of the central tower opens a door on the opposite landing; clear three areas and the skull spawns on the pedestal. Rally Point Charlie.
These are the collectibles:
- Alone terminal (Rally Point Alpha): at the start, destroy the four Sentinels, turn around and walk around to the back of the giant hologram globe.
- Tough Luck skull (Rally Point Alpha): once you have a Banshee, fly back to the building you left and up to the ledge at the top of the large fin, in front of the blue beam. Slow down by holding back and land on it, or hop out right beside it; flying too high triggers the out-of-bounds warning. To get down, drop to the lower platforms one at a time. If a checkpoint saves while you are stranded, restart from Rally Point Alpha once the pickup notification has appeared.
- Black Eye skull (Rally Point Charlie): after the first conduit, take the lift down into the canyon with three arch bridges. Cross the middle arch and bear right into the small dead end of Flood growth. The skull is on a snow-capped stone, so use your flashlight.
- Mythic skull (Rally Point Charlie): fly a Banshee to the platform on top of the central tower near the second generator and use the centre panel. It opens a door on the opposite landing. Fly there and clear the first room, then use its far console. Clear the corridor and use the next console, then clear the final room, which has Flood tank forms and infected Hunters. Every enemy must die before each console works. The skull spawns on the central pedestal.
▶Making a Necklace
This unlocks when you collect your 22nd skull. Following this route, that is your first skull in Two Betrayals. Don't count on the three automatic skulls toward the 22.
▶Outpost Discoveries
This unlocks once the three skulls and the terminal in Two Betrayals are collected.
▶Double Trouble
Complete the mission.
▶Keyes
▶Collectibles · 4 4 collectibles
Catch (Keyes) — In the gravity lift beam. Heroic or Legendary; use the clean no-skull route from Rally Point Alpha above, reaching the lift in under 3 minutes.
Blind (Keyes) — Vehicle bay: through the doorway past the Wraiths, under or over the wrecked Wraith, to the corner by the locked door. Rally Point Bravo.
Consumed (Keyes) — Shuttle bay: left through the lower door, along the winding corridor to the dead end by a locked door. Rally Point Charlie.
Piñata (Keyes) — Melee the Flood mass holding Keyes three to five times after his cutscene. Rally Point Charlie.
The Catch skull is the trickiest collectible in the game, so go for it before anything else in this mission. It only appears if you reach the gravity lift fast enough on Heroic or Legendary, and Heroic counts. The timer is hidden. Getting there in under 3 minutes is known to work, while slower runs only sometimes do, so aim for under 3.
- Start Keyes from Rally Point Alpha with no skulls equipped at all. Acrophobia is confirmed to stop Catch from spawning. Reports conflict on other skulls, ammo modifiers and Campaign Remix, so this guide uses a clean attempt with none of them.
- Ignore every fight and sprint straight to the gravity lift. Use the coolant drop shortcut and grab the Overshield near the lift. Kill only the Covenant on the lift platform, because the lift stays off until they're dead.
- Stand in the centre of the lift and hold interact as soon as it starts rising. The skull hangs in the beam, and after a very fast run it can land on the floor at the top instead, so check there too.
- Reloading a checkpoint doesn't reset the timer. If you miss the skull, restart the mission from Rally Point Alpha.
Once you have Catch, collect the rest at your own pace:
- Blind skull (Rally Point Bravo): after the lift, you arrive on the upper level of a vehicle bay. Drop to the floor and take the doorway past the Ghosts and Wraiths, where Flood pour out. Crouch under the destroyed Wraith and crates blocking the corridor, keeping to the left wall, or jump over them. Follow the corridor to its end, and the skull is in the corner by the large locked door.
- Consumed terminal (Rally Point Charlie): when you enter the shuttle bay ("Ascend to the upper deck"), ignore the objective. Turn left through the lower-level door and follow the winding corridor, clearing the two Hunters fighting Flood there. The terminal is in an alcove at the corridor's dead end, beside a locked door.
- Piñata skull (Rally Point Charlie): after the cutscene with Keyes, face the Flood mass that holds him and melee it three to five times. The hits show no reaction, and then the skull drops in front of you.
▶Priorities
Priorities20G
This unlocks once the three skulls and the terminal in Keyes are collected.
▶Captain’s Orders
Complete the mission.
▶The Maw
▶Collectibles · 4 4 collectibles
Arrival (The Maw) — Mess hall alcove by the broken vending machines; check the right wall, then the left. Rally Point Alpha.
Stowed Reload (The Maw) — Cryo room with four pods: back left corner, from the collapsed walkway to the tip of the support beam. Rally Point Bravo.
Boom (The Maw) — Engineering: upper level right side, drop to the debris platform, then to the narrow ledge below. Rally Point Bravo.
Thunderstorm (The Maw) — Warthog run: halfway through the second right-hand shortcut tunnel, in the flames on the right. Rally Point Charlie.
Get the first three collectibles before the Warthog run:
- Arrival terminal (Rally Point Alpha): in the mess hall, in a small alcove by the broken vending machines, before the fire at the back. Check the right wall first, then the left.
- Stowed Reload skull (Rally Point Bravo): in the cryo room opposite the Chief's original one, with four pods in the middle. Go to the fire-lit back left corner, climb the collapsed walkway and jump to the support beam against the back wall. The skull is at its tip.
- Boom skull (Rally Point Bravo): in the engineering room with four cores. Go to the right side of the upper level, near the far console. Drop onto the small platform with debris below a wide opening, then drop again onto the narrow ledge below, going left of the debris. Crouch as you land so you don't slide off.
During the Warthog escape, the corridors have shortcut tunnels on the right. The first one is a dead end. The second right-hand shortcut tunnel holds both the Thunderstorm skull and the Thirsty Grunt. Leave Clean Lap for the Easy cleanup, which keeps that run simple.
- Thunderstorm skull (Rally Point Charlie): stop halfway through the second right-hand shortcut tunnel and get out. The skull is on the floor on the right, in the flames. If that tunnel is empty, you've miscounted, so check the next one.
▶Food Critic
Food Critic10G
In the same second right-hand shortcut tunnel, about 700 to 750 meters from the objective, get out of the Warthog and go through the door on the right partway along. The Thirsty Grunt is behind it, so let him finish his speech about food.
If you miss him, the achievement can be done on any difficulty. Start The Maw from Rally Point Charlie and drive straight to the tunnel.
▶No Rush
No Rush20G
This unlocks once the three skulls and the terminal in The Maw are collected.
▶Dust and Echoes Evolved
Complete the mission.
▶Greenhorn
Greenhorn10G
Difficulty achievements stack, so finishing the main campaign on Heroic also unlocks the Easy one. Halo Support doesn't list Greenhorn or Birth of a Spartan as blocked by modifier presets, but keep presets on None regardless.
▶Birth of a Spartan
This unlocks alongside Greenhorn and Heroes Never Die.
▶Heroes Never Die
This unlocks when The Maw finishes on Heroic. It only tracks the ten main missions; Operation: METEORITE doesn't count toward it. Its Xbox progress moves in steps of 10%, one per mission.
If it is stuck below 100%, a mission didn't register:
- Replay The Maw from its start on Heroic first, since it's the mission most often missed, especially after co-op.
- If that doesn't move the tracker, replay the ten main missions in order, each from its start on Heroic. Check the achievement's Xbox progress after each one, and stop as soon as the missing credit registers.
- In co-op, the player who is missing credit should host these replays.
▶Operation: METEORITE on Heroic
Go to Campaign > Bonus Missions and play all three missions on Heroic, with modifiers still on None. These missions hold the skulls you need for Frugal Fire and Even Tempered, and several LASO skulls.
▶Boarding Action
▶Collectibles · 4 4 collectibles
Malfunction (Boarding Action) — After the first Hunters, down to the docked dropship's hangar, past the turret, mid-walkway. Rally Point Alpha.
Johnny Ammo Seed (Boarding Action) — From the sand training room's upper left door, survive the sword Elite ambush and take the curved walkway. Rally Point Bravo.
Leadhead (Boarding Action) — Tractor beam room: after the final wave, the doorway left of the lift leads to a dead end. Rally Point Delta.
The Path (Boarding Action) — Top of the gravity lift: turn around, blue door in the back right corner, on the right wall. Rally Point Delta.
These are the collectibles:
- Malfunction skull (Rally Point Alpha): after the first pair of white-armored Hunters, ignore the objective and go down the ramp to the lower hangar with a docked dropship. Go through the door beside it, past a turret, and into the room with a walkway. The skull is midway along the walkway, overlooking the starting hangar. Get it before you take the gravity lift up.
- Johnny Ammo Seed skull (Rally Point Bravo): clear the white and gold Elite training room with the sand floor, climb to its second floor, and leave by the upper left door at the back. It brings you out on the upper walkways of the previous big white room, where Elites with energy swords ambush you. Kill them, then take the skull from the curved walkway that reaches toward the middle of the room.
- Leadhead skull (Rally Point Delta): in the room with the vertical tractor beam, survive the enemy waves, Brutes included. When the last wave ends, the doorway left of the lift platform opens. Follow its corridor to the dead end.
- The Path terminal (Rally Point Delta): ride the gravity lift up, turn around and go through the blue door in the back right corner. The terminal is on the wall just inside, to the right.
▶Souvenirs
Souvenirs20G

▶Before the Fall
Complete the mission.
▶The Most Dangerous Game
▶Collectibles · 4 4 collectibles
Temperamental (The Most Dangerous Game) — Damage the golden sword Elite's shield at all three appearances in one run, then clear the last arena; take it from the central pylon. Rally Point Alpha.
Recession (The Most Dangerous Game) — Prison bridge: shoot the canisters on both pillars by the near locked door. Rally Point Bravo.
Ghost (The Most Dangerous Game) — Purple brazier above the arena gate after the gravity bridge; climb the left-wall trees and ledges. Rally Point Charlie.
Penitent Report (The Most Dangerous Game) — After freeing the Marines: pink-window room, right-hand door, raised centre of the storage room. Rally Point Charlie.
The Temperamental skull is earned, not found. Start from Rally Point Alpha. A golden Elite with an energy sword appears three times, and you must break or damage his shield at every appearance in the same run. He can't be killed, and if he escapes, reload the checkpoint.
- In the wooded area, he stands on a ledge on the right above the trees and the Jackal snipers.
- At the far end of the big purple bridge arena, he is behind the Wraith in front of a large door. He flees quickly, so a Sniper Rifle helps.
- As you step back outside after the prison, he is up on the left, and Johnson marks him.
Once you have hit him all three times and cleared the final outdoor arena, the skull appears on the glowing central pylon. Jump up to take it.
The other collectibles:
- Recession skull (Rally Point Bravo): at the prison entrance bridge, with a Wraith at the far end, turn back to the locked door on the near side. Shoot the fuel canisters in the flames on top of both pillars beside it, and the door opens with the skull on the floor inside.
- Ghost skull (Rally Point Charlie): after the Banshee ambush and the gravity bridge, go through a short cave to the gate of an outdoor arena. Clear the arena first. The skull is in a purple brazier above the gate on the arena side, so check the braziers on both sides. Climb the trees and cliff ledges along the left wall and hop across.
- Penitent Report terminal (Rally Point Charlie): after freeing the Marines, go up the ramp into the room with pink windows on the left. Take the right-hand door, and the terminal is on the raised centre of the storage room. This comes just before the Elite's third appearance.
Jiralhanae Conservationist belongs to the Easy pass, so kill Brutes freely now.
▶Brute Loops
Brute Loops20G
This unlocks once the three skulls and the terminal in The Most Dangerous Game are collected.
▶Tiger Company
Complete the mission.
▶Heavy Burden
▶Collectibles · 4 4 collectibles
Eye Patch (Heavy Burden) — Higher left walkway alongside the main bridge, on a ledge right of a locked door. Rally Point Alpha.
Grunt Birthday Party (Heavy Burden) — Three-floor atrium: sprint-jump from the fire-pit platform onto the central rock pillar. Rally Point Bravo.
Harmonious Clarity (Heavy Burden) — After the bridge fight: a ground-floor back door, through the armory to the back room, left behind the weapon pods. Rally Point Bravo.
Efficient (Heavy Burden) — Floating ride: left side platform in the room after the bridge room, far back corner, within about 10 seconds. Rally Point Charlie.
These are the collectibles:
- Eye Patch skull (Rally Point Alpha): after the big bridge room with Hunters, don't cross the main bridge. Take the door and higher walkway on the left that runs alongside it, and the skull is at the far end on a narrow ledge right of a locked door.
- Grunt Birthday Party skull (Rally Point Bravo): in the three-floor white and gold atrium with a rock pillar topped by yellow foliage in the middle. Enter at the top, go left and drop to the platform below. Sprint-jump from the circular platform with the purple fire pit onto the pillar, then jump and grab the skull while holding interact.
- Harmonious Clarity terminal (Rally Point Bravo): after the bridge-room fight, ignore Johnson's upper door and take either unlocked ground-floor door at the back. Go through the armory rooms to the back room, and the terminal is on the left behind the weapon pods.
- Efficient skull (Rally Point Charlie): on the floating platform ride, after you restore power, pass the room with a bridge overhead. In the next room, jump onto the left side platform and sprint to its far back corner. Stepping off starts an out-of-bounds timer of roughly 10 seconds. The pickup counts even if you die afterwards, but jump back to the ride if you can.
▶Parting Gifts
This unlocks once the three skulls and the terminal in Heavy Burden are collected.
▶Personal Space
Complete the mission.
▶Headhunter
Headhunter30G
This unlocks with your 39th skull. If it hasn't, check each mission's skull achievement to find the gap, and use the Collectibles menu to see which skull is missing.
▶Lore Have Mercy
This unlocks when all 13 terminals are activated.
▶Collector’s Addition
This unlocks once every skull and terminal is collected. It should arrive with your last pickup. PLAY LASO also appears in the Campaign and Campaign Remix menus now, because you have the 17 LASO skulls.
▶Easy Cleanup: Feats and Skull Challenges
Now everything is unlocked, use mission select to clear the feats and skull challenges in mission order.
For every attempt:
- Start a New Game on Easy from the first rally point of the mission, unless the achievement section below names a different one.
- Keep Modifier Preset on None.
- Equip only the skulls named for that attempt.
▶The Pillar of Autumn Feats
▶This is My Ship Now
Keyes's Marines can't be killed and will shoot back, which is why this is an Easy attempt. Starting from Rally Point Bravo is fine.
- After the bridge cutscene with Keyes, leave the bridge and pick up the pistol from a fallen Marine nearby. You can't attack Keyes before you have it.
- Go back to the bridge and kill Keyes with the pistol or a few melee hits.
- All six of his Marines turn on you.
- The observation pen is the sunken alcove directly below the two pilots' seats at the front of the bridge, where the Perspective skull was. Push each Marine in over the left or right edge beside the pilot stations. The ladder and the other NPCs block the middle, so don't try to shove them down the ladder.
- Melee a Marine or just walk into him to push him. A punched Marine often crouches, and then he's easy to walk over the edge.
- Pull one Marine at a time where you can. Two or more shooting at you can kill you even on Easy.
The achievement unlocks when the sixth Marine is in the pen. The Marines can't be killed and won't drop in on their own. If you die after killing Keyes, the checkpoint may roll back to before the kill.
▶Halo Feats
▶Even Tempered
Equip Temperamental and complete Halo from the start without angering any allies. With this skull, Marines turn hostile easily if your bullets, grenades or driving hurt them. Killing enemies is fine.
- Use the Magnum, keep your aim clear of Marines, and keep grenades and explosives well away from them.
- The Warthog is optional. Putting a Marine on the turret and staying in the driver's seat works, but running a Marine over turns him hostile instantly, so drive carefully or skip the vehicle.
- If a Marine turns hostile, reload the checkpoint straight away.
- Don't add Grunt Funeral. Its explosions can hurt your allies.
The achievement unlocks when the final cutscene starts.
▶The Silent Cartographer Feats
Map Quest and Frugal Fire combine well in a single run. Never firing your weapon means you never run out of ammo.
▶Map Quest
Map Quest10G
Complete The Silent Cartographer without:
- shooting
- grenades
- melee
- dying
- restarting
Start from Rally Point Alpha. Required: never reload a checkpoint. If anything goes wrong, quit out and start again from Rally Point Alpha.
Warthog splatters are allowed, and so is letting Marines you've picked up shoot from the turret. Check your controller bindings first: if braking or boosting shares a button with fire, grenade or melee, any press can ruin the run.
- When the Pelican drops you off, turn around and take the nearby Warthog.
- Drive past the Hunters to the shield control. Pick up the Overshield there, but don't use it yet.
- Disable the shields, take the second Overshield outside, and drive along the beach to the Cartographer facility.
- Park opposite the entrance and follow the blue floor arrows inside, sprinting past enemies.
- Activate the final console, then retrace your steps. Save the Overshield for the sword Elite on the way out.
- Hide nearby until the Pelican arrives, then walk aboard.
The achievement unlocks when the mission ends.
▶Frugal Fire
Frugal Fire20G
Equip Famine, Recession and Johnny Ammo Seed, and complete a mission without running out of ammo. Some listings write the third skull as "Johnny Ammo Tree", but it is the Johnny Ammo Seed skull from Boarding Action.
Do the Map Quest route with these three skulls equipped. Both achievements unlock together at the end.
▶Hot Streak
Hot Streak20G
Hot Streak can be earned alongside Map Quest and Frugal Fire if your Map Quest route never jumps, but the Map Quest route above jumps down a staircase, so the simplest option is this separate run. Equip Floor Is Lava, start The Silent Cartographer from the beginning on Easy, and complete it without jumping or dying.
- You only take damage while standing on the ground. Stairs, small ramps, sloped edges and small beach rocks don't count as ground, and neither does sitting in a vehicle.
- From the drop-off, head clockwise past the beach Covenant and the Hunters into the structure, and press the first panel.
- Drop down the cliff, grab the Warthog there and drive into the facility.
- Park on the top floor and sprint past the enemies to the objective panel.
- Drive back out and wait in the cave until the Pelican arrives. Walk aboard without pressing Jump.
- If you are about to die, restart the mission instead of risking it.
The Pillar of Autumn also works: hug the sloped wall lips in the corridors, and crouch and strafe over the low pipe. Its route has more obstacles that normally need a jump, though.
▶Assault on the Control Room Feats
▶That’s My Ride
Start from Rally Point Echo, the section with the two Banshees. One Elite sprints for a Banshee as the section begins, and you need to board one before he gets there.
- Sprint out the door as soon as you load in.
- Shoot the Elite as he runs up the ramp, closing in if his head is hidden. A Sniper Rifle makes this easy if you're carrying one.
- Get into the Banshee.
If he reaches it first, reload the checkpoint and try again.
Use this mission to finish New Whip too if you still need hijacks. Start from Rally Point Charlie and board every Ghost that has a driver.
▶343 Guilty Spark Feats
▶Arm's Length
Arm's Length10G
Get through the first floor of the Flood facility without taking a single hit. Nobody has confirmed whether a hit that only touches your shields counts, so play as if any damage fails the run.
The achievement unlocks when you reach the empty room just before the elevator room, after the terminal and the shotgun Flood. You don't need to ride the elevator.
- Start from the beginning of the mission and never have Acrophobia on.
- Equip Black Eye. Your shields stay drained, so any hit becomes obvious.
- Kill the panicked Marine before he can hurt you.
- Stay on the upper levels when you can, and throw grenades into each doorway as the Flood pour in. The room with four doors (front, left, right and behind) is where most runs fail.
- Bandana's infinite grenades are reported to work for this achievement, but Halo Support doesn't say which achievements Bandana blocks. Leave it off if you don't want to risk a wasted run.
- If you're hit, reload the last checkpoint immediately. This is reported to save the attempt, as long as the game hasn't saved a new checkpoint since the hit. If a checkpoint saved after the hit, restart the mission from the beginning.
▶Two Betrayals Feats
▶Like Old Times
Equip Speed Limit, Endurance Spec, Hip Fire and Armistice, and complete Two Betrayals from the start. Never use Acrophobia.
- Armistice is one of the automatic skulls you unlocked after your first three.
- Without sprinting and with hip-fire only, run past what you can and use a shotgun for close fights.
- Raising Navigation Point Size under Accessibility makes the route easier to follow.
- Remember the known issue: don't destroy the Banshee after the first generator.
▶The Maw Feats
▶Clean Lap
Clean Lap10G
Halo Support confirms you must start The Maw from the beginning, because Rally Point Charlie does not count. Complete the Warthog run without being thrown out of the vehicle. A flip or an explosion that throws you out fails it. Getting out by choice is reported to be fine, but staying in for the whole run is simplest.
- Drive carefully and don't take any of the shortcut tunnels.
- Reloading a checkpoint after you've already been ejected doesn't save the run. Pausing and reloading before the ejection animation finishes is reported to work.
- After the run, let Cortana finish speaking and let the ending play all the way to the main menu.
- If clean runs keep failing to unlock it, try this community-reported workaround on your next attempt. It isn't an official requirement. When you reach the Foehammer rendezvous at the bridge, stop and let the Cortana and Foehammer dialogue and instructions finish before you continue. Then stay in the Warthog all the way to the final trigger.
▶The Most Dangerous Game Feats
▶Jiralhanae Conservationist
Complete The Most Dangerous Game from the start without personally killing a rampaging Brute. Brutes rampage when the device on their chest is hit. After that they stop shooting and just charge.
- Shoot Brutes in the legs and feet, never the chest device.
- Avoid explosives, which can set off a rampage.
- Killing a Brute before it rampages is fine.
- Johnson and the Marines may kill rampaging Brutes without breaking the achievement, and rampaging Brutes also attack each other. Back off and let them.
- Kill the Elites at the cell control panels quickly, so fewer caged Brutes are released.
- If you land the killing blow on a rampaging Brute, reload the checkpoint right away. If the achievement doesn't unlock at the end of the mission, replay it from the start.
▶Campaign Remix: Deathless Pass
Campaign Remix opened after your first three skulls. It replays completed missions with random enemies (Adaptation), random weapon placement (Reload) and Armistice, and those three can't be turned off.
On the Select Skulls screen, don't press Remix Selection. It's optional. It adds three to six random skulls from your unlocked collection, and Bandana and Acrophobia aren't confirmed to be excluded. Before every mission, check that neither is turned on.
▶Remix Setup and Route
- Play solo on Easy with modifiers on None.
- Start each mission from Rally Point Alpha.
- Play all 13 missions: the ten main missions, then Operation: METEORITE from the Remix menu.
- Progress is tracked mission by mission, so a death only costs you the current mission. After a death, back out to the Campaign Remix menu and launch the mission again. Restarting from the pause menu is reported to be unreliable, and reloading a checkpoint after a death doesn't save the mission.
- The game doesn't show which missions have registered. Each clean mission adds about 7.7% to Mix Master's Xbox progress, so check it after every mission and keep your own list. If a clean mission didn't add progress, replay it from Rally Point Alpha.
- It's not confirmed whether a co-op partner's death fails the run, which is why this pass is solo.
▶REMIX!
REMIX!10G
This unlocks when you complete your first Remixed mission.
▶Beat the Drop
This unlocks when you complete a Remixed mission without dying, so a clean Pillar of Autumn gives you both REMIX! and this.
▶Mix Master
Mix Master40G
This unlocks once all 13 Remixed missions have been completed without dying. Treat every mission as its own short deathless run. The Library, Keyes and The Maw's Warthog escape have the most dangerous spots, so take your time there.
▶LASO
LASO is Legendary with 17 specific skulls forced on, including Iron, Black Eye, Fog, Famine, Mythic, Eye Patch, Malfunction and Temperamental. Once you have discovered those 17 skulls, PLAY LASO appears in the Campaign and Campaign Remix menus. It is tracked mission by mission across all 13 missions, so it doesn't have to be done in one sitting. The ten main missions bring MYTHIC to about 76%, and the three Operation: METEORITE missions finish it. Start each mission from its beginning, and check that its progress registered before moving on. Deaths cost time but don't void a mission.
▶LASO Strategy
Co-op. Co-op is strongly recommended. In solo, the Iron skull restarts the whole mission when you die. In co-op, a death only sends the team back to the last checkpoint. Every member of the fireteam needs modifiers set to None. The player who needs the achievements should host, because non-hosts have reported missing credit. If they do miss a mission, replay it with them as host. In Heavy Burden, don't skip the cutscene before the space section in co-op. Halo Support lists skipping it as a cause of stability problems (CURRENTLY COMMUNITY-FLAGGED / BUGGY, known issue updated 2026-08-19). If a navigation marker won't advance, regroup: Halo Support notes that markers only progress once every fireteam member has passed them.
Shields and aim.
- Black Eye means shields only come back through melee kills, so melee weak enemies from behind to refill them.
- Eye Patch removes aim assist, and Fog removes your motion tracker. Take your time and check your corners.
- Malfunction can hide part of your HUD after a respawn.
Allies. Temperamental and Grunt Funeral together make it easy to anger your allies. Throw grenades carefully around Marines.
Ammo. Famine halves the ammo in dropped weapons, so reload only when you're empty. Plasma Pistol overcharges strip shields and disable vehicles cheaply.
Getting through missions. Drive past fights whenever a vehicle allows it. The Library and Keyes are the toughest for most players, and The Maw's Warthog escape and the Truth and Reconciliation gravity lift are common walls too.
Quitting. Save and Quit keeps your checkpoint between sessions, but reports conflict on whether a resumed mission always counts. If a mission didn't add MYTHIC progress, replay it from the start.
▶MYTHIC
MYTHIC50G
This unlocks when all 13 missions have been completed on LASO.
▶Living Legend
LASO is played on Legendary, and community guides report that finishing it awards Living Legend, plus any lower difficulty achievement you're missing. If Living Legend hasn't unlocked after MYTHIC, replay the ten main missions on Legendary with modifiers off, each from its start. Check the achievement's Xbox progress after each one and stop as soon as it unlocks. Operation: METEORITE doesn't count toward difficulty achievements, so don't replay it. In co-op, the player who is missing credit should host.
▶Final Cleanup
Check the six counters first. New Whip is usually the one that's short, so finish it with Ghost hijacks in Assault on the Control Room. For Claims Adjuster, use the vehicle farm in Heavy Burden's flying section. Then look over the per-mission achievements and the feats for anything a bug may have swallowed, and replay the missions involved.
▶Fully Evolved
This unlocks once the other 57 achievements are earned. If it lags, give it time to sync, or trigger any achievement action, such as picking up the Speed Limit skull.
▶Collectibles
Reference
▶Skulls
39 in the game
Halo: Campaign Evolved has 39 skulls to find: three in each of the ten main missions and the three Operation: METEORITE missions. Adaptation, Reload and Armistice unlock automatically after any three pickups and are not on this list. The skulls count toward Cranial, Making a Necklace, Headhunter, Collector’s Addition and each mission's collectible achievement. Seventeen of them also unlock LASO. Nothing is missable: replay the mission from the listed rally point. Collect skulls in the normal Campaign with Acrophobia and Bandana turned off.
