▶Before You Start
▶Current Xbox Status and Route Plan
This guide covers the current Xbox Killer Instinct achievement list. That list is used by Killer Instinct: Anniversary Edition on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S, and the Windows Xbox version shares it. The verified list has 464 achievements worth 4,935G:
- Base game: 94 achievements worth 1,000G.
- Add-on and title-update groups: 370 achievements worth 3,935G, across 28 groups.
Status and requirements:
- CURRENTLY CONFIRMED UNOBTAINABLE: none identified as of 2026-09-15.
- CURRENTLY CONFIRMED DISCONTINUED: none identified as of 2026-09-15.
- Online status: active as of 2026-09-15. Killer Instinct uses PlayFab matchmaking. The current Xbox store still advertises online multiplayer and Xbox/Windows cross-play. In 2025, some profiles could not sync Shadow Lords to its servers on any device while other profiles on the same console worked, and no fix has been confirmed. Check that Shadow Lords connects on your first day (see Shadow Lords First Login).
- Online requirements: extensive. Every normal fighter needs Ranked wins, an Exhibition win against a friend, an online Supreme Victory, and wins over six different opposing characters. Shadows Mode and several Shadow Lords systems also use live services.
- Missables: there are no permanent full-game missables. Story goals, Shadow Lords branches, and random mission chains can be missed within a run, but they can be retried in later runs.
- Difficulty requirements: Jago has one Season 1 ending tied to a higher Story difficulty. Run it on Hard or higher: the original condition was "Medium", and that tier may be labelled Hard on the current build. Every other Season 1 ending works on the lowest difficulty. ARIA's Season 2 mural objective requires Hard or higher. Hardcore requires defeating Gargos on Godlike.
- Story playthroughs: the Season 1 Mural needs 24 ending clears from a fresh file, because only one ending is awarded per character run. Season 2 needs all three mural goals for each of its eight fighters. Each fighter's three goals can normally be combined into one run.
- Calendar gate: Shadow Lords has achievements for 15 and 50 Daily Rewards. Counted: the first daily reward, plus the daily Shadow Lords multiplayer match rewards. Those are online Shadow Lords multiplayer challenges, typically "play 5 fights, win 1". This allows several credits per day. Not counted: daily rewards from Shadow missions. Shadow Lords multiplayer has a small population, so schedule those fights with your online partner. If only the base reward is practical, keep claiming it on later real-world days until the counter finishes.
- Best setup: a second controller plus one dependable online friend or alternate account. The second controller removes most local grind friction. The online partner gives you control over Exhibition, Matchups, Supreme victories, Shadow challenges, bounties, and Shadow Lords multiplayer daily rewards.
- Critical efficiency rule: never grind a fighter to 200 matches first. Story, Survival, Exhibition, Ranked, and challenge work all feed the 200-match counter, so the fast match grind belongs at the end of each fighter's route.
Most of the completion is repetition, but the repetition is enormous. The core fighter template alone requires 20 Ranked wins and 200 completed matches for each of 28 fighters, so overlapping your routes matters more here than almost anywhere else.
The real skill wall is Ranked League. Natural Born requires promotion to Killer Status, the top League tier. The Killer of Killers requires 10 Ranked wins over Killer-Status players. Both are competitive requirements that repetition alone will not clear. Xbox and Windows Ranked are cross-play, but the population is modest, so queue at peak hours with cross-play enabled.
▶Day 1 Setup: Start the Time-Gated Systems
▶Shadow Lords First Login
Open Shadow Lords immediately and complete its opening setup. Equip the first Guardian you receive, and start claiming Daily Rewards from the first real-world day of the completion. Do not postpone this mode until the end.
Confirm that Shadow Lords connects and syncs. Two kinds of "unable to sync to the UltraTech servers" failure have been reported:
- Temporary failures. Fully power off the console and router and retry later. In one report the failure cleared by itself after about a week.
- Account-specific failures (2025). Some profiles could not sync Shadow Lords on any console or device, while other profiles on the same console worked and every other mode worked normally. Reinstalling, clearing the cache, changing networks, and deleting local and cloud save data did not fix it. No fix has been confirmed.
If your profile is affected, keep working on every non-Shadow-Lords section and retry Shadow Lords periodically. Do not delete your save data hoping to fix it: that did not help in the reported cases, and it erases progress. A sync failure has not been shown to make the Shadow Lords achievements unobtainable for everyone, but for an affected profile, recovery is unconfirmed.
▶Astral Assistance
Equip a Guardian and successfully complete any Shadow Lords mission. The achievement unlocks when that mission finishes with the Guardian equipped.
From then on, check the Daily Rewards screen every day you play:
- Claim the first daily reward.
- Complete the daily Shadow Lords multiplayer match rewards when you can arrange opponents. A partner session is the practical way to do this.
Shadow-mission daily rewards do not count. Doing this every day builds progress toward Rewards Club Member and Platinum Club Member without leaving a calendar wait at the end.
▶Create a Shadow Before the Long Grind
Create one Shadow now. Other players can then start building its match history and creating potential bounties while you work on the rest of the game.
▶Graduation Day
Record the required starter matches for a Shadow and activate it. The achievement unlocks when your first Shadow becomes active.
▶Higher Learning
Stay with that same Shadow and record 15 matches for it. Finish this now, and do not spread recordings across several Shadows: the requirement is 15 recorded matches for one Shadow.
▶Training Foundation
▶Dojo Lessons
Complete the Dojo in order. It teaches the systems you will use for the next several hundred hours, and the three achievements unlock at fixed lesson counts.
▶White Belt
White Belt10G
Complete five Dojo lessons.
▶Orange Belt
Orange Belt10G
Continue through lesson 16.
▶Black Belt
Black Belt10G
Finish lesson 32.
▶Trials
Open Trials early and clear easy ones whenever they overlap with normal play. Achievements unlock at 3, 20, 100, and 200 completed Trials, so treat this as a long checklist rather than a final-session grind.
▶Triple Trials!
Complete any three Trials.
▶Hyper Trials!
Reach 20 completed Trials.
▶Monster Trials!
Reach 100 completed Trials.
▶ULTRA TRIALS!
Reach 200 completed Trials. Save awkward character-specific or situational Trials until the character loops have made you familiar with the roster.
▶General Fight Challenges
General Fight Challenges advance during normal play. Check the Fight Archive occasionally, but do not grind these before the character work: the large character route will complete many of them naturally.
▶General Novice
Reach 10 General Fight Challenges.
▶General Apprentice
Reach 30 General Fight Challenges.
▶General Master
Reach 60 General Fight Challenges.
▶Season 1 Story: Complete the Mural Before Character Cleanup
▶All 24 Season 1 Endings
Do the Season 1 mural before finishing the 200-match counters for the original eight fighters. All of these Story matches count toward their lifetime match totals.
Each of these fighters has three mural endings: Jago, Sabrewulf, Glacius, Thunder, Sadira, Orchid, Spinal, and Fulgore. Only one ending is credited per run.
When a run meets more than one ending condition, the game reportedly awards the highest-numbered ending you have not yet unlocked. If the Story flow lets you select the ending you are pursuing, use it.
Either way, the safe order for each fighter is:
- The ending 3 condition first.
- The rival-Ultra ending second.
- The plain completion ending last.
This handles the hardest condition first. It also means an accidental rival Ultra on a later run cannot cost you an ending you still need.
The three endings for each fighter:
- Jago: complete Story Mode once; finish Orchid with an Ultra; complete Story Mode on Hard or higher. The original condition was Medium, which may be labelled Hard on the current build.
- Sabrewulf: complete Story Mode once; finish Thunder with an Ultra; finish every opponent in the run with an Ultra.
- Glacius: complete Story Mode once; finish Sadira with an Ultra; Combo Break every opponent at least once during the run.
- Thunder: complete Story Mode once; finish Orchid with an Ultra; record a match with 100% breaker percentage. To be safe, land four successful Combo Breakers in that match without a failed attempt.
- Sadira: complete Story Mode once; finish Jago with an Ultra; earn at least 1,600 XP in a single match.
- Orchid: complete Story Mode once; finish Sadira with an Ultra; finish a match with average combo damage of at least 40%. In that match, land at least four 40%+ combos and avoid weaker combos that would drag down the average.
- Spinal: complete Story Mode once; finish Sabrewulf with an Ultra; finish a match at 100% Shadow Efficiency. The safest way is to land at least four Shadow moves without a miss or block, preferably inside confirmed combos.
- Fulgore: complete Story Mode once; finish Orchid with an Ultra; earn a Perfect Victory in one match.
Except for Jago's difficulty ending, every Season 1 ending works on the lowest Story difficulty.
▶Mural Artist
The achievement unlocks once all 24 Season 1 mural endings are credited. If the mural looks complete but the achievement has not appeared:
- Return to the title screen.
- Re-enter Story Mode.
- View the mural and one ending from the Story menu.
▶Season 2 Story: Finish Every Mural Goal
▶One Efficient Run Per Season 2 Fighter
For Season 2, clearing the story with all eight fighters is not enough for Rivaled!. Each fighter has three mural goals. The individual story achievement only needs the clear. Still, complete all three goals in the same run whenever possible so you never have to repeat that fighter.
▶Back on Top
Use TJ Combo. Complete Story Mode, finish Fulgore with an Ultra in the Pinnacle, and land a full Auto Barrage on every opponent. Do the full Auto Barrage early in every fight so you cannot forget it, then finish Fulgore with the required Ultra.
▶The Night Guard
Use Maya. Complete Story Mode, finish Kan-Ra with an Ultra, and achieve 100% Shadow Efficiency in one match. For the efficiency goal, land four Shadow moves without missing or having one blocked; starting them inside confirmed combos is safest.
▶Lord of Chaos
Use Kan-Ra. Complete Story Mode, finish Aganos with an Ultra, and earn at least 1,750 XP in one match. Build one strong match with varied specials, Shadow moves, enders, breakers, and an Ultra rather than trying to scrape past the threshold.
▶Appetite for Destruction
Use Riptor. Complete Story Mode, finish Riptor with an Ultra Combo, and finish one match with average combo damage of at least 40%. The safest method is one 40%+ combo followed only by single-hit attacks, so that no weaker combo lowers the average.
▶A New Destiny Forged
Use Aganos. Complete Story Mode, finish Thunder with an Ultra, and successfully Combo Break every opponent at least once. Do the breaker at the start of every fight before switching to normal offense.
▶The Eternal Child
Use Hisako. Complete Story Mode, finish ARIA with an Ultra, and land a Vengeance Counter against every opponent. Counter one attack at the start of each fight so you cannot forget it.
▶Rising Sun
Use Cinder. Complete Story Mode, finish Glacius with an Ultra, and finish every opponent in the run with an Ultra. If you finish every opponent with an Ultra, the Glacius objective is covered too.
▶Savior of Humanity
Use ARIA and set the story to Hard or higher before starting. Complete the full run on that difficulty and finish Omen with an Ultra. This covers all three of ARIA's goals in one run.
▶Rivaled!
Rivaled!20G
Finish all three mural goals for TJ Combo, Maya, Kan-Ra, Riptor, Aganos, Hisako, Cinder, and ARIA, then return to the Season 2 Story mural if necessary. The achievement unlocks when the full Season 2 mural is complete.
▶Omen Cleanup
▶Finish Omen's Standalone Requirements
Omen does not use the normal 14-achievement fighter template. Do his five gameplay achievements now:
- Practice is valid for the projectile, Despair, and large-combo requirements.
- Demonic Luck is safest in local Versus.
▶Demonic Barrage
Land 20 Rashakukens in one fight. Practice is the easiest place to keep the opponent stationary and count clean hits.
▶Demonic Marksman
Keep landing Rashakukens until your cumulative total reaches 500. This is lifetime progress, so your Barrage hits already count.
▶Demonic Despair
With the required Shadow meter available, connect Omen's Demonic Despair. Practice with infinite Shadow meter is the cleanest setup.
▶Demonic Annihilation
Land any combo of 85% damage or higher as Omen, in any mode. Demonic Despair is not required, but it is the recommended assist:
- Land Demonic Despair, which converts the opponent's health into potential damage.
- Immediately start a real combo.
- Cash it out with an ender for at least 85% damage.
Practice, or local Versus with a second controller, removes any risk of interruption.
▶Demonic Luck
Demonic Luck15G
Use local Versus with a second controller. Attempt Demonic Despair and deliberately miss it, then go on to win the round. The achievement unlocks when you win the round after the failed Despair.
▶Shadows Mode: Build Asynchronous Progress
▶Shadow Survival and Match History
Return to the Shadow you created on day one. Shadow match totals only advance when your Shadow actually plays against human challengers. Rather than waiting on random traffic, have a dependable friend or alternate account challenge it.
▶Shadow Survivalist
Enter Shadow Survival and defeat 25 Shadows. This counts your own fights in Shadow Survival, so you can work on it steadily while your personal Shadow builds up matches on its own.
▶Shadow Apprentice
Get your created Shadow to 20 matches played. If natural activity is too slow, have a friend or alternate account challenge it repeatedly.
▶Shadow Ruffian
Keep going until that Shadow reaches 100 matches played. Use the same Shadow rather than splitting traffic between several.
▶Bounty Hunter
A bounty appears after another player defeats your Shadow. To avenge it, fight that player's Shadow from the Shadow activity or bounty interface and win. Repeat until you have avenged 25 bounties.
The controlled method is a two-player loop. You and a friend, or your main and an alternate account, each keep an active Shadow:
- Your partner defeats your Shadow, which creates a bounty for you.
- You avenge it by beating your partner's Shadow. That defeat creates a bounty for your partner.
- Your partner avenges by beating your Shadow, which creates your next bounty.
- Back out to the Shadow Lab after every fight so the result saves to the server.
- Repeat.
Avenge fights can be repeated many times per day. Direct challenges against the same Shadow, which count as a win or loss, are limited to one per day. So keep the exchange going through bounties rather than direct challenges.
If you lose an avenge fight, check whether the bounty is still listed. If it is gone, have your partner defeat your Shadow again to create a new one. If the loop stops producing bounties, wait a day or rely on natural Shadow traffic; that does not mean the counter is broken.
▶Ranked League Foundation
▶Qualify Before the 28-Fighter Ranked Rotation
Play the full qualifier set first. After qualifying, do every fighter's 20 Ranked wins in Ranked, so the global League achievements advance at the same time.
▶Ready to Body
Complete all 10 Ranked qualifying matches.
▶24 Carat
24 Carat10G
Keep playing Ranked until you are promoted to Gold Status. Promotion follows the live League system, so do not chase an old fixed point value.
▶Natural Born
Natural Born10G
Keep climbing until you are promoted to Killer Status. The achievement unlocks on the promotion itself. This is the guide's main skill requirement. Ranked with your strongest fighter between character blocks, and queue at peak hours with cross-play enabled.
▶Livin' in the League
Win 25 Ranked League matches while Bronze or higher. The guide's 560 fighter-specific Ranked wins make this unlock naturally.
▶The Killer of Killers
Defeat 10 opponents who are at Killer Status in Ranked Mode. Track this during the long 28-fighter Ranked grind. If it is still locked after the character work, keep queuing Ranked with your strongest fighter until your tenth qualifying win.
▶The 28-Fighter Completion Loop
▶How to Run Every Fighter
From here, finish one fighter at a time. Story work has already added some matches for the Season 1 and Season 2 cast. Use this order for every fighter:
- Unique mechanic and color.
- Local Versus.
- Survival to 10 wins.
- One controlled friend Exhibition block.
- Ranked to 20 wins.
- Fight Challenges to 150.
- Only the remaining matches to 200.
For the friend Exhibition block, have your partner rotate through six different opposing characters while losing. Make one of those wins a Supreme Victory by finishing the match before your first health bar is depleted. That way Friendly, Supreme, and Matchups all come from the same session.
Losses count toward the final 200 matches. Once every other requirement for a fighter is done, local Versus with a second controller is the safest fast method. Have the second controller defeat your fighter as quickly as possible and rematch until the counter finishes.
▶Jago
Finish Jago completely before moving to the next fighter so the 20 Ranked wins, 150 Fight Challenges, and 200-match counter remain easy to track.
▶Tiger's Fury
Tiger's Fury10G
Activate Instinct after taking some damage and use Jago's life-gain mechanic until at least 10 health has been restored during Instinct. Practice is the cleanest place to do this.
▶Stylish Jago
Stylish Jago10G
Keep using Jago until fighter progression unlocks a new color. The Story, Survival, online, and Ranked work in this route normally supplies enough progression without a separate early grind.

▶Survival Jago
Start a Survival run with Jago and win the first fight. Keep the same run going for the Endurance requirement.
▶Jago's Endurance

▶Jago Chosen One
Finish 200 completed matches as Jago. Only grind whatever remains after every other Jago achievement is done; local Versus fast losses with the second controller are valid completed matches and prevent wasted wins.

▶Sabrewulf's Claws
Activate Instinct and force at least 10 points of blocked chip damage. Practice with a guarding dummy is the cleanest setup.

Keep using Sabrewulf until fighter progression unlocks a new color. The Story, Survival, online, and Ranked work in this route normally supplies enough progression without a separate early grind.

Finish Glacius completely before moving to the next fighter so the 20 Ranked wins, 150 Fight Challenges, and 200-match counter remain easy to track.
▶Glacius' Armor
During Instinct, allow Ice Armor to absorb an incoming hit. Practice makes the trigger immediate and repeatable.
▶Stylish Glacius
Keep using Glacius until fighter progression unlocks a new color. The Story, Survival, online, and Ranked work in this route normally supplies enough progression without a separate early grind.

Use a local Versus or CPU match. The target is half of her recoverable damage, not half of her total health.

▶Shadow Lords: Long-Run Completion
▶Daily Rewards and Early Campaign Progress
Keep claiming Daily Rewards for the rest of the guide. From here on, Shadow Lords is the main cleanup mode. Mission chains and several items are random, so never skip a rare achievement-related mission just to advance the main campaign.
▶Rewards Club Member
Claim 15 qualifying Daily Rewards. Two kinds count:
- The first daily reward.
- The daily Shadow Lords multiplayer match rewards, typically "play 5 fights, win 1" in online Shadow Lords multiplayer.
Shadow-mission daily rewards do not count. Check the counter after your first day.
▶Platinum Club Member
Keep going until 50 qualifying Daily Rewards have been claimed. If you complete the multiplayer match rewards with a partner each day, this takes far fewer than 50 calendar days. If you can only claim the first daily reward, keep claiming it on later real-world days.
▶Enemy of My Enemy
During a Shadow Lords run, take a mission outcome that recruits an UltraTech agent into your team. The achievement unlocks when the UltraTech agent is actually added to your active Shadow Lords roster.
▶Three's A Crowd
Complete 10 Shadow Lords missions using three team members. A mission counts whether you fight it or successfully deploy all three. Not every mission accepts three fighters. Every Omen mission and the final Gargos fight let you pick three, and those missions cannot be deployed, so you have to fight them yourself. Other missions that accept three team members also count, including successful three-member deployments. Bring a full three-member team to every Omen and Gargos fight in your planned clears, and this finishes naturally across two or three playthroughs.
▶Three Deliberate Gargos Clears
Each Shadow Lords playthrough has four Omens. Each Omen carries one random Gargos buff, so Gargos can have up to four removable Omen buffs. Defeating an Omen removes its buff. Gargos also keeps his own built-in Shadow Lord abilities no matter how many buffs you remove, so the final fight is never trivial.
Plan three deliberate Gargos clears:
- Clear A (Normal, all four Omens defeated, no deaths): Survivor, The End, and Nerf Master. This is the easiest possible version of the final fight.
- Clear B (Normal, no Omens defeated): Buff Master.
- Clear C (Godlike): Hardcore. Defeat all four Omens again first to make the final fight manageable.
▶Buff Master
Buff Master20G
Use Clear B. Do not defeat any Omen before fighting Gargos, so he keeps all four removable Omen buffs. Then defeat him. Keep this separate from Survivor, because a fully buffed Gargos makes a no-death run unnecessarily risky.
▶Survivor
Survivor20G
Use Clear A, on Normal. Defeat all four Omens so Gargos has no removable buffs, keep every team member alive from start to finish, and defeat Gargos. The official condition is a playthrough "without dying"; assume a single fighter's defeat voids the run.
- Control corruption so Omens arrive one at a time.
- Skip optional high-risk missions such as Shadow missions.
- Bring healing items plus attack and defense boosts for the Gargos fight.
- Restart the run if a fighter dies, so the no-death condition stays clean.
▶The End
The End10G
Defeat Gargos in Shadow Lords. This unlocks on your first successful Gargos clear, normally Clear A.
▶Nerf Master
Nerf Master10G
Defeat all four Omens in one playthrough, which removes every removable Gargos buff. The achievement normally unlocks when the fourth buff is removed, so it comes naturally during Clear A. If it has not appeared, it may only register after you complete another mission or after the game syncs. Finish your next mission and give it time before assuming the run failed.
▶Hardcore
Hardcore15G
Use Clear C. Set the playthrough to Godlike, defeat all four Omens first, and then defeat Gargos on that difficulty. Removing all four Omen buffs makes the final fight far more manageable than facing a fully buffed Gargos.
▶Emporium, Currency, Crafting, and Guardian Collection
▶Artisan
Artisan5G
Craft 30 items in the Shadow Lords Emporium. Start with cheap recipes and let normal campaign resources fund this. Do not burn rare materials you need for mission chains.
▶Expert Artisan
Keep crafting until you have made 250 items in total. Use cheap repeatable recipes whenever possible, and fold this into the many runs you will play for Mimics, missions, and random quests.
▶Open for Business
Buy 25 items from the Emporium's Packs category. Buy the cheapest packs currently offered that help your Guardian collection; old historical prices are not reliable enough to plan around.
▶Astral Miner
Astral Miner20G
Earn 10,000 Astral Gems in total. Normal Shadow Lords runs, rewards, and higher-difficulty mission payouts all contribute. This tracks gems earned, so spending gems does not erase progress.
▶Guardian Tamer
Get five different Guardian types. Until this unlocks, prioritize a new type over a duplicate tier.
▶Guardian Collector
Collect all five tiers of one Guardian type: Common (green), Rare (blue), Epic (purple), Killer (gold), and Crimson.
Crimson is the bottleneck. Crimson Guardians come from a limited-time Crimson pack in the Emporium. Historically, that pack has featured a different Guardian type each week. The current schedule may differ, so check what the Emporium offers now. Then:
- Check which Guardian type the current Crimson pack offers.
- Make that type your collection target, and buy the pack with Astral Gems.
- Fill in the other four tiers of the same type with normal Emporium packs and Guardian rewards.
If no Crimson pack is on offer when you check, keep checking the Emporium periodically.
Keep one copy of every tier of your target type until the achievement unlocks. Transmute only duplicates.
▶Top Percentage Guardian
Get a Perfect Guardian. The starter Common Ram from the tutorial is not perfect, so it will not count. Since Season 3, every Common-to-Epic Guardian from Emporium packs has perfect stats, and Killer and Crimson Guardians always do. Buy a pack and this will unlock on the Guardian it awards.
▶Man's Best Friend
Feed a total of 500 Astral Energy to the same Guardian. Do not spread the first 500 energy across several Guardians; pick one useful Guardian and keep feeding that exact copy.
▶Guardian Effect Grinds
Equip one Guardian at a time and deliberately trigger its effect during ordinary Shadow Lords fights. These are cumulative, so you do not need to force all the progress into one battle.
▶Blood Sucker
Blood Sucker10G
With the Vampire Bat Guardian equipped, drain a total of 3,000 points of Health, Shadow, or Instinct through its effect. Keep using the Bat until the achievement appears before switching Guardians.
▶Serpent's Kiss
With the Snake Guardian equipped, inflict a total of 1,500 poison damage. Favor longer fights so the poison has time to tick.
▶Seething Agility
With the Exemplar Guardian equipped, land 100 successful parries. Fight enemies with predictable offense, and keep the Guardian equipped across runs until the counter finishes.
▶R-R-R-Rammed!
With the Ram Guardian equipped, perform 100 Psychic Breakers. Keep taking fights that let the Guardian's breaker effect activate, and do not swap the Ram out early.
▶Protection Protocol
With the Fractured Ward Guardian equipped, generate 150 armor stacks. Let incoming hits spend the armor, then let the Guardian regenerate stacks again and again until your total reaches 150.
▶Long Cumulative Shadow Lords Grinds
▶Prolific
Prolific10G
Successfully complete 150 Shadow Lords missions. Do not grind this on its own until every random mission-chain achievement below is finished, because all successful chain missions count toward the same 150.
▶Mimic Slayer
Mimic Slayer10G
Defeat 250 Mimics across your Shadow Lords runs. Fight Mimic missions whenever they appear while you work on the other long counters. Only farm ordinary Mimic encounters once the random quest achievements are complete.
▶End of Days
End of Days10G
Reach Turn 20 in a Shadow Lords playthrough. Keep corruption under control and delay the final Gargos confrontation long enough for the run to reach Turn 20.
▶Hoarder
Hoarder10G
Hold 50 different items in Storage at the same time. Variety is what counts. Use Storage → View All to see every item type the game tracks and which ones you are missing. Craft or buy missing types in the Emporium until you hold 50 different ones together.
- Stop consuming or selling one-off items while you build the collection.
- Check Storage before crafting away unique pieces.
- Optional: the Hatchery chain's quest items (a Stalker Transceiver, Wyvern-X, and the Security Codes) can count as three of the 50 types. Holding all three at once needs extra preparation, described under The Hatchery's Secret. None of them is required if you can reach 50 with other items.
▶Juiced Up
Use a healing Artifact 100 times. Equip healing Artifacts throughout the long mission grind and use them whenever the game allows. Progress carries across runs.
▶Necromancer
Revive the same character 25 times in Shadow Lords using resurrection items, such as the Phoenix Relic and other revive consumables. Revives spread across different fighters do not count.
Choose one fighter you will always field. Every time that fighter falls, spend your resurrection items on that same fighter. Repeat on later turns and later runs until that one character reaches 25 item revives.
▶Random Mission and Branch Achievements
The remaining achievements depend on random missions appearing or on branch choices. Whenever one of these missions appears, prioritize it over routine currency or Mimic fights. If a chain fails to advance, finish or abandon the run and try again; the mission has not disappeared permanently.
▶Gambler
Gambler5G
When a Shadow Lords wager event appears, accept the wager and win the fight that follows. The achievement unlocks when you win the wager.
▶Treasure Hunter
This needs two different playthroughs:
- When the Ancient Relic quest appears, the mission asks where life began. Answer "the cradle" and complete the quest to collect that Ancient Relic.
- In a different playthrough, find the quest again, answer "the grave", and collect the other Ancient Relic.
You cannot complete both branches in the same playthrough. The achievement unlocks once both Ancient Relics have been collected.
▶Might Tester
Might Tester10G
When a Tank Chest encounter appears, you have only a few seconds to fill its damage meter to x2 (200%) within that single event.
- Enter with full Shadow meter and your strongest burst setup.
- Riptor's heavy fire breath is a reliable choice.
- An item that grants effectively unlimited Shadow meter makes the burst much easier.
Keep attacking until the meter reaches x2.
▶Skeletal Bounty
Open five Skeleton Chests in Shadow Lords. Save your Skeleton Chest keys for the chests themselves, and keep opening chests across runs until the fifth is credited.
▶Infiltrator
This is a two-mission chain. It tends to appear later in a playthrough, around day 5 or after.
Mission 1, "Cult of Gargos":
- Before the fight, choose the option to approach the guards quietly. Exact wording may vary.
- Win the fight.
- Afterward, choose the orange character-portrait option "Infiltrate the Cult". It appears only when an eligible fighter is on your team.
Eligible fighters: Orchid and Shadow Jago are confirmed. Cinder, Mira, Sadira, Hisako, and Kan-Ra are also reported to work. Do not use Gargos for this mission: he gets "Address your followers" instead, which raises corruption and does not continue the chain.
Mission 2, "Infiltrate the Cult", appears on a later turn. Often it is the next turn, but it can take a few turns:
- Before the fight, choose to answer the cult leader.
- Win the fight.
- Afterward, choose "Search the cultists' lair". "Do a cleansing ritual" is also reported to work.
Winning this mission unlocks the achievement.
If the follow-up does not show up right away, keep playing for several more turns and keep checking the map. Do not restart early. Restart only if you never got the orange option in mission 1, or if the follow-up still has not appeared after several turns. In that case, finish or abandon the run and watch for Cult of Gargos in a new playthrough.
▶Threat Eliminated
This is the random four-part "UltraTech Leak" quest, which only an UltraTech agent can take. Keep Riptor on your team and use Riptor for every part. Sadira and Fulgore also have reported successes, but their answers may differ from Riptor's, but reports conflict and those routes are less tested. ARIA has reported failures. Riptor is the most reliable choice.
Choose these options as Riptor:
- Storm hideout, then Search hideout.
- Call UltraTech Security for backup, then Decrypt the hacker's log.
- Ask the Rebels for assistance, then Interrogate the captured terrorists.
- Covert assault, then Search the dataframe after the win.
Part four is a hard one-versus-two fight, so bring healing and buff items. If the next part does not appear, start the chain again on another run with Riptor. The achievement unlocks when the Umbral Militia is eliminated.
▶The Hatchery's Secret
This chain spans several runs and needs two visits to the Stalker Hatchery. Its key items stay in your Storage between playthroughs:
- Stalker Transceivers
- Wyvern-X
- Security Codes
Keep corruption low by winning or deploying every fight. The opening mission usually appears around turn 10, and later when corruption is high.
First cycle:
- Opening mission. Watch for the Stalker attack mission in South America, which pits you against two regular, non-mimic Riptors. Before the fight, choose to attack. Do not choose "Command the stalkers", which is reported to stall the chain. After the fight, choose "Agree to help". Two "Stalker Attacks" missions then appear in South America on the next turn.
- Stalker Attacks fights. In each one, choose "Attack the stalker" before the fight. Afterward, choose "Examine the device" or "Examine the corpse", whichever appears. Each fight gives one Stalker Transceiver, so a run normally yields two. Collect five across about three runs.
- First Hatchery visit. Your fifth transceiver triggers the Hatchery mission on the following turn. Before the fight, choose "Search the facility". Never choose the air strike or mortar strike option: it ruins the visit, and you must collect five new transceivers. After winning the three-Riptor fight, choose "Search the incubators" (inspect the incubation equipment) to get Wyvern-X. The visit uses up the five transceivers.
- Rebel Commander. Keep playing. A random post-fight event introduces a Global Rebellion Commander, not necessarily in South America. Choose to talk to him, then give him Wyvern-X. He trades it for Security Codes.
Second cycle:
- Collect five more transceivers through Stalker Attacks fights across later runs.
- Final Hatchery visit. Choose "Search the facility" again and win. Then choose the orange option "Activate the security console", which appears only while you hold the Security Codes. This opens the Global Rebellion's hidden equipment cache and unlocks the achievement.
Optional Hoarder method: you can hold Wyvern-X, the Security Codes, and a spare transceiver at the same time. This takes six transceivers before an extra Hatchery visit:
- After trading for the Security Codes, collect four transceivers, and end that playthrough while holding them.
- In the next playthrough, collect two more. That gives you six.
- Enter the Hatchery, choose "Search the facility", win, and choose "Search the incubators" again. Do not activate the console. The visit uses five transceivers, leaving one spare plus a new Wyvern-X.
- With all three items held, finish Hoarder before you activate the security console. Activating the console uses up the Security Codes.
- Then collect five more transceivers for the final console visit.

Every named achievement now has a route. Use the Xbox achievement list and the in-game Fight Archive to find any fighter whose 150 challenges, 20 Ranked wins, 200 matches, or six-character online matchup set is still incomplete. Close only those specific counters rather than restarting broad grinds from memory.
Killer Instinct achievements are often reported to unlock late, sometimes about 30 minutes after the requirement is met, or only after the game is relaunched. Before repeating any substantial work:
- Return to the title screen and let the game finish its server sync.
- Close and relaunch the game, and let it sync again.
- Wait, repeating the relaunch a few times if needed.
Repeat the requirement only if the achievement still has not appeared after that. If Shadow Lords reports that it cannot sync, follow the guidance under Shadow Lords First Login.
Current evidence supports full completion on the Anniversary-era Xbox list. Treat a missing achievement as a tracking or requirement-check problem, not as proof that the list has become unobtainable.
