▶Before You Start
▶Completion Summary
The current Xbox achievement list contains 75 achievements worth 2,820 Gamerscore. This is the shared Xbox achievement list used by the current Xbox console and Xbox Windows version rather than separate Xbox One and Xbox Series stacks.
As of October 14, 2026:
- All 75 achievements are currently obtainable.
- There are no CURRENTLY CONFIRMED UNOBTAINABLE achievements.
- There are no CURRENTLY CONFIRMED DISCONTINUED achievements.
- Online multiplayer and co-op are not required. The full completion can be done solo.
- One world and one character are sufficient.
- There are no true missable achievements and no achievement-related point of no return. The world remains available after the final story battle.
- Tower bosses can be challenged again, which is required for the later Hard Mode achievement.
- No New Game+ playthrough is required.
- Your normal world difficulty does not need to be Hard. Champion of the Palpagos Islands uses separate Hard Mode tower rematches.
- Custom world settings do not currently disable Xbox achievements and are the largest legitimate time-saving tool available.
- The current route follows the full 1.0 story through Zoe and Grizzbolt, Lily and Lyleen, Axel and Orserk, Marcus and Faleris, Victor and Shadowbeak, Saya and Selyne, Bjorn and Bastigor, Auri and Shaolong, Panthalus, the World Tree, and the final Zenara & Astralym battle.
- Older achievement tracking problems with Predator Hunter and the Pal Effigy achievements are fixed on the current version.
Palworld has changed substantially since Early Access. Older guides may still use obsolete Lifmunk Effigy totals, pre-1.0 Pal locations, fixed Predator Pal spawns, or earlier tower progression. This route uses the current post-1.0 achievement requirements.
▶Recommended World Settings
Use Custom settings unless you specifically want the default survival experience.
For a completion-focused run:
- Increase experience gain.
- Increase capture rate.
- Increase resource and item drops.
- Increase player damage.
- Reduce damage received by the player.
- Reduce stamina consumption.
- Reduce egg incubation time.
- Reduce or remove the death penalty.
- Increase Pal appearance rate if your system handles the extra spawns comfortably.
You can change these settings later, so there is no need to restart if you begin on default settings.
Do not maximize every setting blindly. Large spawn multipliers can make crowded encounters and raid fights more chaotic than necessary.
▶Whole-Run Priorities
Several achievements become tedious only if ignored until the end.
From the beginning:
- Catch new species instead of killing them whenever practical.
- Continue catching common Pals after their species bonus is finished. You eventually need 1,000 total captures and duplicate Pals are useful for condensation.
- Pick up every Lifmunk Effigy, regional Pal Effigy, Note, and rare Effigy you see.
- Catch a Nox early. Its partner skill reveals nearby Effigies, which turns every Effigy achievement into a short sweep instead of a blind search.
- Defeat or capture new Alpha Pals, including dungeon-end and Sealed Realm Alphas. Their one-time Pal Bounty Tokens eventually require 20 different Alphas.
- Enter convenient dungeons instead of skipping all of them.
- Activate fast-travel points and deliberately uncover named areas.
- Keep Ore and Ingot production running once your base can automate them.
- Keep sphere production running whenever resources are plentiful.
- Keep one favorite Pal in your party for long periods so Trust develops naturally.
- Start Pal Labor Research and Pal Expeditions as soon as those systems become available.
▶Overhunting
Overhunting30G
Capture 1,000 Pals over the course of the run.
This is total captures, not unique species. Begin progressing it immediately rather than leaving 1,000 captures for cleanup.
Common low-level Pals remain useful because duplicates can later be condensed into stronger copies. Increased capture rate and Pal appearance settings make the eventual cleanup much faster.
Do not sell or discard every duplicate automatically. Five maximum-rank Pals are required later.
▶Windswept Hills and Rayne Syndicate
▶Opening Captures and Your First Base
Follow the tutorial objectives, establish a functional first base, and start capturing every new species around the starting area.
▶Beginning of the Legend
Capture your first Pal.
The achievement unlocks when the first successful capture completes.
▶Newbie Pal Tamer
Newbie Pal Tamer100G
Capture 10 different kinds of Pals.
These must be different species. The starting regions contain far more than 10, so simply catch one of every unfamiliar Pal you encounter.
▶Early Exploration and Alpha Pals
Begin activating fast-travel points and exploring beyond the immediate starting plateau.
Alpha Pals now reward a one-time Pal Bounty Token the first time you defeat or capture that particular Alpha. This includes free-roaming Alphas, Alphas at the end of dungeons, and Alphas in Sealed Realms. Earned tokens appear under Key Items, which is the easiest place to check your count. Treat new Alphas as worthwhile route stops throughout the entire game.
Do not confuse Pal Bounty Tokens with Successful Bounty Tokens. Successful Bounty Tokens come from human bounty targets, are spent as currency at the Vigilante Bounty Officer, and do not count toward these achievements.
▶Freshman Surveyor
Find 10 new areas.
A new area counts when its name appears as a banner at the top of the screen the first time you enter it, usually with a small XP bonus. Named areas include biomes and islands, settlements, churches, ruins, mineshafts and caves, sealed realms, tower entrances, and most fast-travel locations.
You do not need to reveal every square of the map, and there are far more than 70 named areas. The game has no area counter, so watch for the banner.
▶Rookie Pal Slayer
Obtain five Pal Bounty Tokens.
Defeat or capture five different Alpha Pals.
A particular Alpha provides its Pal Bounty Token only once, so repeatedly farming the same Alpha does not advance this achievement.
Continue fighting new Alphas after this unlocks. The later Alpha Pal Slayer requires 20 unique tokens.
▶Inhuman Act
Inhuman Act30G
Capture a Human.
Find a hostile human enemy, reduce their health, and throw a Pal Sphere at them.
Humans have poor capture rates compared with ordinary Pals, so use a stronger sphere or increased capture-rate setting if necessary.
The achievement unlocks when the human is successfully captured.
▶Rayne Syndicate Tower
Prepare a small combat team, bring a ranged weapon if available, and enter the first tower when your equipment is comfortable for the encounter.
▶Hillside Sovereign
Defeat Zoe & Grizzbolt.
Complete the normal Rayne Syndicate Tower battle.
The tower remains replayable later. Do not worry about Hard Mode yet.
▶Windswept Hills Notes
Notes count toward Trail of the Castaway (40 needed). Each is a small pedestal topped with a glowing tablet, easiest to spot at night. Every Note you pick up unlocks one entry in the Journals menu (Options > Journals), which lists collected titles and shows uncollected ones as question marks, so you can check any title below against it. The game does not mark Notes on the map.
These 12 sit around the starting region:
- Castaway's Journal – Day 1-1 (259, -521) and Day 2 (238, -505), on the Plateau of Beginnings.
- Zoe Rayne's Diary – 2 (168, -554), near the Plateau of Beginnings.
- Castaway's Journal – Day XX (135, -471), on the Grassy Behemoth Hills.
- Castaway's Journal – Day 1-2 (85, -459), at the Small Settlement.
- Zoe Rayne's Diary – 1 (-4, -502), near the Small Settlement.
- Castaway's Journal – Day 8 (63, -418) and Day 18 (33, -417), at the Desolate Church.
- Castaway's Journal – Day 11 (121, -396), at the Rayne Syndicate Tower entrance.
- Castaway's Journal – Day 3 (188, -378), at the Fort Ruins.
- Zoe Rayne's Diary – 3 (126, -337), in the northern Windswept Hills near the Sealed Realm of the Frozen Wings.
- Lily Everhart's Diary – 2 (218, -257), near Islandhopper Coast.
Running total: 12.
▶Forest Progression and the Free Pal Alliance
▶Expanding the Paldeck
Continue north and northeast through the lower-level mainland regions while capturing new species.
▶Intermediate Pal Tamer
Capture 20 different kinds of Pals.
This should arrive naturally during early exploration if you continue catching new species.
▶Forest Effigies
Version 1.0 added biome-specific Pal Effigies. The regional Guru achievements require 20 of the corresponding type rather than every Effigy in the region.
Each regional type has 30 placements, so you need 20 of 30. The game has no map marker or collected list for Effigies, so each Guru achievement in this guide has a coordinate route. Coordinates are the in-game map's X, Y values, shown at the bottom of the map screen as you move the cursor. Follow the stops in order; each list is ordered so consecutive stops are close together.
Use Nox for every Effigy sweep. Nox's partner skill pulses outward and marks every nearby Effigy of any type, Lifmunk included, as an icon with a distance on your compass for about a minute. The base range is about 150 m with a 60-second cooldown, rising to about 250 m and 30 seconds at four condensation stars. You can recall Nox straight after the pulse and the markers stay. Nox is a rare night-only spawn in Windswept Hills, the Sea Breeze Archipelago, and the Isle of Silence (formerly Forgotten Island), and it also appears in the Ravine Grotto dungeon, so hunt one on your first few nights.
The method is the same everywhere: fly or ride to the next stop on the route, pulse Nox, and grab every Effigy the compass shows, regional and Lifmunk alike, before moving on. Effigies also glow at night. Bring a flying mount for cliff-top, spire, and floating-island placements.
Offering Effigies at a Statue of Power does not reduce these counters. If a regional counter still looks stuck after 20, collect a few more of that type.
▶Forest Guru
Forest Guru15G
Obtain 20 Lamball Effigies.
Lamball Effigies cover the early mainland: Moonless Shore around the Free Pal Alliance Tower, the Bamboo Groves to the west, and Verdant Brook and Frostbound Mountains to the east. Take the first two groups as you work toward the Free Pal Alliance Tower, and the third group on the Lv30 east-mainland trip for the Lunaris Effigies.
- Moonless Shore and nearby (8): (63, -300); (-12, -351); (-90, -315); (-58, -262) in a crevasse; (-51, -163); (-89, -133); (-11, -83) behind a waterfall; (-4, -85).
- Bamboo Groves (10): (-103, -355) on the shore by a small lagoon at the base of the cliffs; (-148, -506); (-275, -508); (-247, -427) hidden low between rocks; (-263, -395); (-376, -256); (-324, -234) beside a narrow footpath through the cliffs; (-181, -263); (-267, -97); (-392, -115).
- Verdant Brook and Frostbound Mountains (12): (24, 11); (73, 118); (128, -34); (193, 71) on a rock in the lake near its edge; (242, 135); (291, 38) in a cliff nook near the sealed realm; (392, 52); (401, -41) on the shore under the spikes west of the Eastern Wild Island fast-travel point; (282, -173); (203, -141); (172, -202); (225, -269).
That is 30 placements, so you can skip up to 10.
Do not confuse these with the green Lifmunk Effigies used for capture-power progression.
▶Rare Mainland Effigies
▶Collectibles · 1 1 collectible
Moonless Shore spire — (59, -291), on the rock spire summit overlooking the Free Pal Alliance Tower.
Three rare Effigy sets feed three achievements: Lunaris for Forest Traveler, Relaxaurus for Island Traveler, and Yakumo for World Traveler. Exactly four of each type exist, and every one is required, so there are no spares. None are missable. The game has no map marker or collected list for Effigies, so this guide gives each one at the point in the route where you should grab it. Coordinates are the in-game map's X, Y values.
Effigies glow and are easier to spot at night, and Nox's partner skill pings nearby Effigies. As a free precaution, hold each set of four until its achievement unlocks before offering them at a Statue of Power. If a set is complete and its achievement still has not appeared, fully quit and relaunch Palworld.
The four Lunaris Effigies are spread across the Lv20–40 mainland. Take the first one here, near the Free Pal Alliance Tower:
- Moonless Shore spire (59, -291). In version 1.0 the Free Pal Alliance Tower sits at about (37, -311) on Moonless Shore, so ignore older maps that put it in Frostbound Mountains. The Effigy is on the narrow summit of the pointed rock spire overlooking the tower, past the bridge. Climb up, glide down from higher ground, or use a flying mount. The nearest fast-travel point is Crescent Moon Shore Watchtower.
▶Pal Labor Research
The Pal Labor Research Laboratory becomes available during early-mid progression at Technology Level 19.
Build one when it unlocks and keep research active from this point onward.
Ancient Pal Manuscripts become the main limiting resource. Pal Expeditions, dungeons, and continued exploration help supply them.
Cheap low-tier research projects are ideal for achievement progression. Do not spend all of your manuscripts immediately on expensive late-tier nodes if several inexpensive projects remain available.
▶Pal Labor Student
Complete 10 Pal Labor Research projects.
Finish 10 research projects.
This should be your first milestone rather than a grind. Keep the laboratory staffed while you are away adventuring.
▶Pal Labor Researcher
Complete 30 Pal Labor Research projects.
Continue purchasing inexpensive useful projects as resources allow.
There is no benefit to postponing this. Research progresses while you work on the story.
▶Pal Labor Professor
Complete 70 Pal Labor Research projects.
Seventy projects is the final research requirement.
You will not normally finish it during this part of the game. The purpose of introducing it now is to prevent a large idle-time grind after the story.
▶Pal Expeditions
The Pal Expedition Station becomes available in the mid-game portion of the Technology tree (around Technology Level 15 on the current tree). Build one as soon as it appears in your Technology list and begin dispatching spare Pals immediately.
A station can run while you are elsewhere, and additional bases can support additional Expedition Stations if you want more parallel progress.
Repeated expeditions count. You do not need 20 different destinations.
▶Novice Pal Dispatcher
Undertake 10 Pal Expeditions.
Send expeditions and allow them to finish. Collect the completed results and immediately start another expedition.
The safest route is to count completed expedition cycles rather than merely dispatching and canceling them.
▶Elite Pal Dispatcher
Undertake 20 Pal Expeditions.
Continue until 20 expedition cycles have been completed.
After the achievement unlocks, keep using Expeditions when you need Ancient Pal Manuscripts, raid-slab materials, or other late-game resources.
▶Early Dungeons
Enter convenient dungeons whenever their level is appropriate.
There is no need to farm all 20 immediately because later dungeons also provide useful raid and crafting materials.
▶Senior Adventurer
Clear 20 dungeons.
A dungeon clear means defeating the dungeon boss and then leaving through the exit portal behind the boss arena. Merely entering, or killing the boss without exiting, is not enough. The achievement unlocks as you exit after the twentieth boss.
Repeat clears of the same dungeon count, and dungeons reset over time, so you can rotate between a few convenient dungeons.
Work toward 20 throughout the whole story. Finish any remaining clears during endgame material farming.
▶Free Pal Alliance Tower
▶Forest Sovereign
Forest Sovereign100G
Defeat Lily & Lyleen.
Complete the normal Free Pal Alliance Tower battle.
▶East Mainland Lunaris Effigies
▶Collectibles · 2 2 collectibles
Verdant Brook lava fissure — (362, 29), on the rock edge beside the lava pool at the end of the fire fissure.
Frostbound Mountains statue — (245, 75), underneath the base of the huge statue beside the sealed realm.
Once your team is around Lv30, make a trip to the east mainland for two more Lunaris Effigies. They are one short flight apart, and both should come before Mount Obsidian:
- Verdant Brook lava fissure (362, 29). The Effigy sits on the rock edge beside the lava pool at the end of the fire fissure. Bring heat protection, and watch for the Lv35 Verdash Alpha nearby at about (285, 10).
- Frostbound Mountains statue (245, 75). In the small snowy area, the Effigy is tucked underneath the base of the huge statue beside the sealed realm. It is under the statue, not on top of it. Bring cold protection, and watch for the Lv40 Sibelyx Alpha right beside it at about (252, 69).
▶Bamboo Groves and Verdant Brook Notes
Collect these 13 Notes while you work around Moonless Shore, the Bamboo Groves, and the east mainland:
- Lily Everhart's Diary – 3 (-7, -265), at the Ancient Ritual Site.
- Lily Everhart's Diary – 1 (-51, -216), near Cinnamoth Forest.
- Castaway's Journal – Day 10 (-19, -372), at the Bridge of the Twin Knights.
- Castaway's Journal – Day 12-1 (-170, -467), at the Sealed Realm of the Swordmaster.
- Castaway's Journal – Day 6 (-234, -188), at Investigator's Fork.
- A letter penned in crude handwriting (-223, -135), in the Bamboo Groves.
- Castaway's Journal – Day 38 (-263, -134), at the Sealed Realm of the Winged Tyrant.
- Zoe Rayne's Diary – 5 (-359, -187), near the Deep Bamboo Thicket. If it is not there, check about (-359, -107), just south of a clearing.
- Zoe Rayne's Diary – 4 (-397, -168), near Azurobe Hill.
- Castaway's Journal – Day 12-2 (111, 33), at Snowy Mountain Fork.
- Castaway's Journal – Day 12-3 (183, 26), at the old Free Pal Alliance tower site in Frostbound Mountains.
- Castaway's Journal – Day 15 (312, -49), at the Sealed Realm of the Swift.
- Castaway's Journal – Day 22 (495, 11), on the Eastern Wild Island.
Running total: 25.
▶Mount Obsidian and Production Setup
▶Volcano Exploration
Prepare appropriate heat protection before exploring Mount Obsidian deeply.
Capture new volcanic species, defeat convenient new Alpha Pals, and pick up Effigies as you travel.
▶Skilled Pal Tamer
Capture 50 different kinds of Pals.
Fifty unique species should require little deliberate farming if you have been catching new Pals in each biome.
If you are short, use the Paldeck to identify obvious uncaught species rather than catching additional duplicates.
▶Volcano Guru
Volcano Guru15G
Obtain 20 Pengullet Effigies.
Collect 20 Pengullet Effigies on Mount Obsidian. Bring heat protection. The route starts at the south coast and works north, then finishes along the west coast. Two more Pengullet Effigies sit on distant islets and are not needed.
- Stops 1–10: (-530, -733) inside small cavern; (-591, -727); (-679, -726); (-673, -639); (-576, -609) corner of cube wall next to waterfall; air geysers lead to it; (-481, -680); (-375, -658); (-410, -594) near top of wall in large alcove; (-451, -536); (-541, -474) low on ground.
- Stops 11–20: (-602, -436); (-601, -400); (-636, -328); (-606, -285) inside tower; (-611, -225); (-536, -238) base of tower under spiral staircase; (-520, -190); (-485, -262); (-475, -298); (-456, -406).
- Stops 21–28: (-362, -381); (-333, -432) under a tree; (-302, -533) under the arch; (-805, -633); (-829, -529); (-827, -418); (-801, -322); (-764, -260) under rocky outcropping.
That is 28 placements, so you can skip up to 8 awkward ones and still reach 20.
▶First Relaxaurus Effigy
▶Collectibles · 1 1 collectible
Mount Obsidian Anubis statue — (-555, -623), at the foot of the giant Anubis statue on the south coast.
One of the four Relaxaurus Effigies used for Island Traveler is on Mount Obsidian:
- Mount Obsidian Anubis statue (-555, -623). Fast travel to Mount Obsidian – Anubis Statue on the south coast. The Effigy lies at the foot of the giant Anubis statue, which sits in a pocket with a ring-shaped lake and waterfall just to the north.
The other three are in later major regions, so Island Traveler will not finish yet. Exactly four Relaxaurus Effigies exist, so none can be skipped.
▶Long-Term Crafting Counters
This is the point where your resource economy should be strong enough to begin the three large crafting requirements in earnest.
Do not stand at a crafting bench and grind them manually. Queue cheap recipes yourself at the bench (basic Pal Spheres, basic Ingots, Arrows), let your base Pals work them while you continue the story, and check the achievement progress on Xbox after the first few hundred units to confirm each counter is moving.
▶Sphere Craftsman
Craft 2,000 spheres.
Keep basic sphere production running whenever you have excess resources.
Your 1,000-capture requirement consumes a large number of spheres anyway, so these two achievements naturally support one another.
If this remains unfinished at endgame, mass-produce inexpensive spheres rather than wasting rare materials on high-tier versions.
▶Iron Heart
Iron Heart30G
Craft 10,000 ingots.
Establish renewable Ore production and keep furnaces operating.
Basic Ingots are sufficient for progression. There is no reason to burn rare late-game ore purely for this achievement.
Starting now is important because 10,000 Ingots is one of the longest passive crafting counters.
▶Blood and Iron
Craft 20,000 ammo.
Normal firearm ammunition contributes. Arrows are the cheapest ammunition to mass-produce, at roughly one Wood and one Stone each.
Craft whatever ammunition you genuinely need during the story. For final cleanup, mass-produce inexpensive arrows from common resources rather than spending thousands of advanced components on bullets. Confirm early that arrow batches advance the Xbox progress. If they do not, switch to the cheapest bullet type you can produce.
▶Brothers of the Eternal Pyre Tower
▶Volcano Sovereign
Defeat Axel & Orserk.
Complete the normal tower encounter.
▶Mount Obsidian Notes
Bring heat protection for these five:
- Castaway's Journal – Day 0 (-447, -292) and Day 13 (-564, -224), on the west coast near the Ruined Fortress City.
- Axel Travers' Diary – 1 (-668, -273), near the Ruined Fortress City.
- Castaway's Journal – Day 29 (-405, -607), at the Ancient Civilization Ruins.
- Castaway's Journal – Day 25 (-725, -656), on the Beach of Everlasting Summer in the far southwest.
Running total: 30.
▶Desiccated Dunes and Midgame Cleanup
▶Desert Exploration
Prepare for the desert's temperature extremes and continue your exploration sweep.
▶Desert Guru
Desert Guru15G
Obtain 20 Munchill Effigies.
Collect 20 Munchill Effigies in the Desiccated Dunes. The route starts at the southeast edge of the desert, sweeps west, then works north to the far end of the dunes. Three more Munchill Effigies sit on distant islets and are not needed.
- Stops 1–10: (738, 32); (626, 135); (611, 172); (556, 151); (559, 65); (452, 64); (466, 137); (418, 140); (280, 215) part way up cliffs; (291, 250).
- Stops 11–20: (197, 234); (247, 349); (274, 449); (288, 500); (348, 557); (392, 566); (441, 512); (430, 460); (546, 529); (611, 410) hidden in trees.
- Stops 21–27: (528, 328); (503, 277); (660, 242); (495, 663); (316, 742); (268, 657); (277, 605).
That is 27 placements, so you can skip up to 7 awkward ones and still reach 20.
▶Second Relaxaurus Effigy
▶Collectibles · 1 1 collectible
Desiccated Dunes cavern — (503, 359), on a ledge inside the open cavern west and downhill from the PIDF Tower Entrance.
Pick up the Relaxaurus Effigy in the Desiccated Dunes while you are already exploring the region:
- Desiccated Dunes cavern (503, 359). From the PIDF Tower Entrance fast-travel point, head west downhill into the open cavern and tunnel beneath the rocks. The Effigy sits on a small ledge inside. A glider makes the descent easy.
You should now have the Mount Obsidian and desert entries from the four-Effigy set.
▶Final Lunaris Effigy
▶Collectibles · 1 1 collectible
Twilight Dunes sea stack — (-148, -46), on top of the largest sea stack off the north shore of the Bamboo Groves area.
Finish the Lunaris set with a flying mount or glider:
- Twilight Dunes sea stack (-148, -46). The Effigy is on top of the largest sea stack on a small island off the north shore of the Bamboo Groves area. A Lv55 Anubis Alpha roams nearby at about (-134, -94), so approach over the water and land directly on the stack.
▶Forest Traveler
Obtain four Lunaris Effigies.
You need all four Lunaris Effigies: Moonless Shore, Verdant Brook, Frostbound Mountains, and Twilight Dunes. The achievement unlocks when you pick up the fourth one.
▶Area Discovery Progress
▶Junior Surveyor
Find 30 new areas.
Thirty area discoveries should occur naturally around this stage if you have been activating fast-travel points and exploring each story region instead of traveling directly from tower to tower.
If it has not unlocked, fly over nearby settlements, sealed realms, and islets you have skipped until new name banners appear.
▶Pal Arena Introduction
The Arena is on a small island southeast of the Desiccated Dunes. It includes offline Challenge battles against NPC opponents, so no human opponent or online PvP boosting partner is required for the achievement list. PvP is multiplayer-only and is not needed.
Ranks run Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Diamond, Master, and Legend. Winning Challenge battles earns Rank Points, and you must win at your current rank before the next one unlocks. Challenge opponents are around Lv30 at Silver, Lv65 at Master, and Lv80 at Legend.
Begin the lower ranks now if your team is comfortable. Higher ranks can wait until you have endgame equipment.
▶Silver Champ
Silver Champ15G
Reach Silver Rank in the Arena.
Fight Arena Challenge battles until your rank reaches Silver.
There is no reason to push all the way to Master or Legend with a midgame team. Stop after Silver if matches begin taking too long and return much later.
▶PIDF Tower
▶Desert Sovereign
Desert Sovereign100G
Defeat Marcus & Faleris.
Complete the normal PIDF Tower battle.
▶Desiccated Dunes Notes
- Castaway's Journal – Day 30 (288, 192), at the Sand Dunes entrance on the desert's edge.
- Marcus Dryden's Diary – 1 (339, 363), near Duneshelter.
- Castaway's Journal – Day 32 (511, 391), at the PIDF Tower entrance.
- Marcus Dryden's Diary – 2 (597, 330), near the base of the PIDF Tower.
- Marcus Dryden's Diary – 3 (433, 534), near the Deep Sand Dunes.
Running total: 35.
▶Astral Mountains and the Fifth Tower
▶Snowfield Exploration
Prepare strong cold protection before pushing into the Astral Mountains.
▶Snowy Mountain Guru
Obtain 20 Rooby Effigies.
Collect 20 Rooby Effigies in the Astral Mountains. Bring cold protection. The route starts at the southern foothills and climbs north toward the PAL Genetic Research Unit Tower, then loops back along the east side.
- Stops 1–10: (-66, 12); (-51, 30); (-20, 42); (13, 99); (-69, 113); (-99, 123); (-122, 104); (-91, 66); (-89, 184) on top of taller chunk of large arena-like structure; (-76, 290).
- Stops 11–20: (-101, 324); (-117, 316); (-139, 320); (-199, 249); (-267, 230) in crack in rocks; (-369, 297); (-246, 385); (-195, 465); (-176, 458); (-205, 555).
- Stops 21–30: (-248, 543); (-243, 611); (-323, 605); (-391, 519); (-422, 481); (-130, 570); (141, 440); (92, 366) tucked behind snow-covered rock; (48, 278); (26, 206).
That is 30 placements, so you can skip up to 10 awkward ones and still reach 20.
▶Third Relaxaurus Effigy
▶Collectibles · 1 1 collectible
Astral Mountains rock tower — (-145, 618), just below the summit of the northernmost rock tower, on its southeast corner.
Collect the Astral Mountains Relaxaurus Effigy while passing through the region:
- Astral Mountains rock tower (-145, 618). From the PAL Genetic Research Unit Tower Entrance fast-travel point, head north to the tallest and northernmost rock tower. The Effigy is just below its summit on the southeast corner. A flying mount is much safer than climbing. The area is around Lv50 and needs cold protection.
The remaining one is on Sakurajima, which is visited next in the main tower route.
▶Unique Pal Progress
▶Seasoned Pal Tamer
Capture 90 different kinds of Pals.
By the time you have explored the main early biomes, 90 species should be practical without targeted breeding.
If you have fewer than 90, check the Paldeck for uncaught common species before spending time breeding rare combinations.
▶Exploration Milestone
▶Senior Surveyor
Find 70 new areas.
Continue uncovering named locations as you move through the remaining islands. You do not need to force this before the fifth tower, because Sakurajima, Feybreak, Sunreach, and the World Tree add dozens more.
The game shows no list of discovered areas, so if you finish the story still short, use this checklist of named places by region. Visit any you do not remember entering, and watch for a new name banner each time. Each new banner is one more area:
- Windswept Hills and nearby islands: Plateau of Beginnings, Small Settlement, Grassy Behemoth Hills, Desolate Church, Fort Ruins, Bridge of the Twin Knights, Ravine Entrance, Rayne Syndicate Tower Entrance, Sealed Realm of the Frozen Wings, Sea Breeze Archipelago and its Church, Castaway Beach, Marsh Island and its Church Ruins, Islandhopper Coast, Natural Bridge, Isle of Silence and its Church Ruins.
- Moonless Shore, Bamboo Groves, and Verdant Brook: Ancient Ritual Site, Cinnamoth Forest, Hypocrite Hill, Lake Center, Mount Flopie Summit, Azurobe Hill, Deep Bamboo Thicket, Investigator's Fork, Ascetic Falls, Whisperwind Cliffs, Windscream Valley, Whisperwind Hill, Anubis Dunes, Kelpsea Hill, Mossanda Forest, Gobfin's Turf, Altar of the Windcaller, Dustview Coast, the Sealed Realms of the Winged Tyrant, Swordmaster, Thunder Dragon, Ardent, Myriad Flames, Guardian, and Mystic.

- Sakurajima: Mushroom Wetlands, Cherry Blossom Crossroads, Moonflower Tower Entrance, Secluded Cemetery, West Coast, Southern Sandbar, Northern Rock Field.
- Feybreak: Scorched Ashland, Crimson Cliffs, Curved Redrock, Shield Dragon Tunnel, Stone Pillar Cave Entrance, Scarlet Outlook, Crystallized Great Tree, Emberstone Plateau, Crimson Labyrinth, Deserted Ash Plateau, Hidden Passage to the Oculus Gate, Wildlands Floodgate, Oilfield Overlook, Shady Mushroom Cliffs, Feybreak Shipwreck, The Oculus Gate, Silent Lake, Azure Cliffs, Amethyst Outcrop, Loess Plains, Scorched Hill, Exile's Cape, Feybreak Tower Entrance.
- Sunreach and the World Tree: Waterlily Gorge, The Azure Tapestry, Crystalline Archipelago, Enchanted Firmament, Farcry Marsh, Foot of the World Tree, Alluvion Lakefront, Whimsical Wisteria Grove, The Verdant Rootpath, Dusty Ravine, Remnant Riverside, Corroded Hollow, Rotmist Root, Boreal Summit, Abandoned Laboratory, Gilded City Ruins, Spore Cloister, Shinespore Root, Lacrymal Shoal.
Flying low along coasts and over islets is the fastest way to trigger the ones you have missed. On a save started before the Feybreak update, discoveries may need re-triggering, so fly back over areas you visited earlier.
▶PAL Genetic Research Unit Tower
▶Astral Sovereign
Astral Sovereign100G
Defeat Victor & Shadowbeak.
Complete the normal tower battle.
▶Oil Rig
With a team around Lv50 or higher, take the main Oil Rig for Conqueror of the Sea.
The main Oil Rig (Lv55) sits at about (580, -430), southeast of the Marsh Island fast-travel point. It is defended by gun turrets and anti-air lasers, so approach low and clear the turrets.
The main Oil Rig is the reliable target. The smaller Barge Oil Rig (Lv25–30, around (160, -280)) is a cheaper early attempt, but it has not been confirmed to trigger the achievement. If you try it and nothing unlocks, use the main rig.
▶Conqueror of the Sea
Seize the Oil Rig.
Reach the main Oil Rig, clear enough of its defenses and enemies to reach the main reward, then open the rig's large reward chest.
Opening the completion chest is the important trigger. Merely landing on the rig or killing its guards is not enough.
The large chest respawns about 30 minutes after it is looted, and enemies respawn once you travel far away, so a failed attempt can be repeated.
▶Astral Mountains Notes
- Victor Ashford's Diary – 1 (-88, 178), on the snowy approach near Icy Weasel Hill.
- Victor Ashford's Diary – 3 (-187, 496), near the Land of Absolute Zero.
- Victor Ashford's Diary – 2 (-136, 587), at the base of Victor's tower.
- Castaway's Journal – Day 5 (161, 449), on a lower ledge of the north-facing cliff wall in the eastern Astral Mountains.
Running total: 39. The five Sakurajima Notes take you past 40.
▶Sakurajima
▶Island Exploration
Sakurajima is a strong cleanup window because it adds more Notes, Alpha Pals, dungeons, Effigies, and high-level species while remaining less punishing than the later endgame regions.
Clear nearby optional content as you work toward Saya and Selyne.
▶Sakurajima Guru
Obtain 20 Herbil Effigies.
Collect 20 Herbil Effigies on Sakurajima. The route starts on the Southern Sandbar, runs north past the Dancing Sakura Shrine to the Northern Rock Field, then crosses to the far east of the Mushroom Wetlands and works back west.
- Stops 1–10: (-639, 7) behind rock on centre of half island; (-694, 86); (-634, 105); (-709, 183); (-688, 179); (-671, 183); (-628, 190); (-583, 162); (-583, 205); (-593, 233).
- Stops 11–20: (-615, 282); (-701, 261); (-582, 334); (-534, 342); (-454, 229); (-404, 186); (-386, 180); (-368, 150); (-357, 132); (-333, 127).
- Stops 21–30: (-381, 127); (-446, 149); (-447, 183) east side of island; (-482, 186) crevice behind abandoned shack; (-496, 190); (-516, 181); (-535, 158); (-522, 131); (-492, 102); (-553, 101).
That is 30 placements, so you can skip up to 10 awkward ones and still reach 20.
▶Final Relaxaurus Effigy
▶Collectibles · 1 1 collectible
Dancing Sakura Shrine — (-627, 231), in the courtyard in front of the Sakurajima shrine building.
The fourth Relaxaurus Effigy is on Sakurajima:
- Dancing Sakura Shrine (-627, 231). From the Moonflower Tower Entrance fast-travel point, head west to the shrine estate. The Effigy lies in the courtyard grounds in front of the shrine building, not inside it. An injured Kitsun Noct rests nearby.
If you collected the Mount Obsidian, Desiccated Dunes, and Astral Mountains entries while following the route, this is your final one.
▶Island Traveler
Obtain four Relaxaurus Effigies.
The achievement unlocks when all four Relaxaurus Effigies have been obtained.
If it does not unlock here, use the coordinates in each region's section to recheck the four Relaxaurus spots. Make sure you picked up a Relaxaurus Effigy and not a normal regional Effigy nearby. If all four are collected, fully quit and relaunch Palworld.
▶Sakurajima Notes
There are 64 Notes in the world: 55 on the main map (including Sakurajima, Feybreak, and Sunreach) and 9 in the World Tree. Older guides quoting 39, 44, or 49 are out of date. Two more Journal entries, Castaway's Journal Day 70 and Day ??, have no world pickup, cannot be collected, and are not needed.
Collect all five Saya Notes here:
- Saya Kurosaki's Diary – 1 (-590, 203), on the slope at the base of the Moonflower Tower.
- Saya Kurosaki's Diary – 4 (-626, 231), on the ridge west of the Moonflower Tower entrance.
- Saya Kurosaki's Diary – 5 (-676, 229), below the Secluded Cemetery.
- Saya Kurosaki's Diary – 2 (-484, 259), on the northeast coast between Cherry Blossom Crossroads and the Northern Rock Field.
- Saya Kurosaki's Diary – 3 (-696, 84), on the Southern Sandbar beach. This one is easy to miss.
Running total: 44.
▶Trail of the Castaway
Obtain 40 Notes.
Following the route above gives you 44 Notes by the end of Sakurajima, four more than needed. If the achievement has not unlocked, open the Journals menu, compare the collected titles against the lists in this guide, and revisit the missing ones.
If you are still short, Feybreak, Sunreach, and the World Tree hold 20 more Notes, listed in those chapters.
▶Paldeck Expansion
▶Exceptional Pal Tamer
Capture 140 different kinds of Pals.
The current game contains considerably more than 140 species, so a complete Paldeck is not required.
Continue capturing one of every new species through Sakurajima, Feybreak, Sunreach, and the World Tree. Breeding can fill awkward gaps, but normal exploration should provide most of the 140.
▶Pal Condensation
Version 1.0 reduced the number of matching Pals needed for a complete condensation path.
Condensation is done at the Pal Essence Condenser using duplicates of the same species.
The four condensation steps currently require 4, then 8, then 12, then 24 matching Pals. That is 48 fodder Pals for one fully ranked keeper, which reaches the maximum rank of four stars.
This is much lower than obsolete Early Access guides that quote the old 116-Pal requirement.
A fodder Pal that has already been condensed counts as the Pals that went into it, so partially ranked duplicates are not wasted.
▶All for One
All for One30G
Maximize rank of a Pal.
Choose a species that is easy to capture or breed repeatedly and complete all four condensation increases on one keeper.
The achievement unlocks when that Pal reaches maximum rank.
▶Voice of Resentment
Maximize rank of 5 Pals.
Fully rank five individual Pals.
Five fully ranked Pals need 240 fodder Pals in total. Since Overhunting requires 1,000 captures, common duplicate species should provide much of the material naturally. Pick five species that are common and easy to catch, and feed their duplicates into the Condenser as you capture them.
▶Moonflower Tower
▶Blossom Sovereign
Defeat Saya & Selyne.
Complete the normal Sakurajima tower battle.
▶Feybreak
▶Before Entering Deep Feybreak
Feybreak is a substantial difficulty jump.
Upgrade your weapons, armor, shields, and primary combat Pals before treating it like another routine island.
Keep defeating different Alpha Pals as you travel. Some later progression also benefits from having accumulated their one-time Bounty Tokens.
▶Alpha Pal Slayer
Obtain 20 Pal Bounty Tokens.
Reach 20 unique Pal Bounty Tokens by defeating or capturing 20 different Alpha Pals. Free-roaming, dungeon-end, and Sealed Realm Alphas all count.
Repeated kills of the same Alpha do not help.
If you arrive in Feybreak below 20, use the map to revisit regions with undefeated Alpha markers rather than repeatedly farming one convenient boss.
▶Predator Pals
Predator Pals no longer use fixed spawn points. They replace ordinary Pals at a low rate anywhere in the world, so old Predator maps are unreliable.
Nighttime hunting is useful because their distinctive visual effect is easier to notice.
▶Predator Hunter
Defeat a Predator Pal.
Kill any current Predator Pal.
Do not waste time repeatedly checking one obsolete Early Access coordinate. Continue exploring, especially at night, until a Predator spawns.
▶Feybreak Effigies
▶Feybreak Guru
Obtain 20 Tanzee Effigies.
Collect 20 Tanzee Effigies on Feybreak. The route starts in the far south, climbs past The Oculus Gate, crosses the eastern and northern areas and the west, and finishes back near the middle of the island. Stop 8 is inside a ruined tower, stop 9 is at the very bottom of a drop, and stop 11 sits between the legs of an Anubis statue.
- Stops 1–10: (-1244, -1697); (-1244, -1624); (-1286, -1575); (-1362, -1671); (-1158, -1629); (-1177, -1504); (-1209, -1411); (-1204, -1360) inside ruined tower; (-1126, -1300) all the way at bottom; (-1127, -1249).
- Stops 11–20: (-1050, -1254) between legs of Anubis statue; (-977, -1167) behind giant tree root; (-827, -1149); (-845, -960); (-720, -972); (-674, -964); (-639, -1080); (-980, -994); (-968, -916); (-1133, -949) highest point.
- Stops 21–30: (-1214, -976); (-1182, -844); (-1180, -824); (-1113, -1078); (-1403, -1016); (-1412, -1037); (-1323, -1405); (-1350, -1425); (-1008, -1407); (-880, -1343).
That is 30 placements, so you can skip up to 10 awkward ones and still reach 20.
▶First Yakumo Effigy
▶Collectibles · 1 1 collectible
Oculus Gate stone ring — Feybreak (-1122, -1387), on the central platform of the stone ring above The Oculus Gate.
One of the four Yakumo Effigies needed for World Traveler is in Feybreak. Collect it now:
- Oculus Gate stone ring (-1122, -1387). The giant circular stone ring sits directly above The Oculus Gate fast-travel point, about 90 m up. The Effigy rests on the ring's central platform. Fly up, or climb or take the road from the south. Bring cold protection.
The remaining set continues through Sunreach and the World Tree, so World Traveler cannot be completed yet. Exactly four Yakumo Effigies exist, so none can be skipped.
▶Start Background Breeding
Once the Extravagant Vegetable Cake unlocks at Technology Level 60, start a Breeding Farm stocked with it and leave it running in the background. Mutation is pure RNG, so starting early saves idle time later. The full method is in the Breeding and Mutation section.
▶Feybreak Tower
▶Feybreak Sovereign
Defeat Bjorn & Bastigor.
Complete the normal Feybreak tower fight.
After Bjorn and Bastigor, use the altar portal at the top of Feybreak Tower to travel to Sunreach. This portal is the only way in. Sunreach is cold, so bring cold protection.
▶Feybreak Notes
These five are spares for Trail of the Castaway:
- Bjorn Seligsson's Diary – 1 (-1079, -1314), on the high plateau approaching The Oculus Gate.
- Bjorn Seligsson's Diary – 2 (-968, -1172), in the golden-grass lowland between the Hidden Passage to the Oculus Gate and Stone Pillar Cave.
- Bjorn Seligsson's Diary – 3 (-841, -1213), in the red-foliage highlands.
- Bjorn Seligsson's Diary – 4 (-660, -938).
- Bjorn Seligsson's Diary – 5 (-1305, -1685).
▶Sunreach
▶Opening the Central Region
Sunreach is structured around disabling the Defense Modules protecting the central tower area. The Azure Covenant Tower is blocked by a whirlwind until all six Defense Modules are disabled. Each module is marked by a beam of light. In multiplayer, every player must disable them individually.
Follow the story route between the floating islands, activating travel points and collecting nearby Effigies rather than planning a second full traversal later.
Jetragon now lives in Sunreach as a Lv70 Alpha around (-553, -1332). If your team can handle it, capture it while you are here for Legendary Celestial Dragon. Otherwise, return later during the legendary cleanup.
▶Sunreach Guru
Obtain 20 Depresso Effigies.
Collect 20 Depresso Effigies in Sunreach while you disable the Defense Modules. A flying mount is essential here because several placements sit on spire tops, floating rocks, and high cliff ledges. The route starts on the southern spires, crosses east, loops north through the central islands and the west, and finishes back in the southwest.
- Stops 1–10: (-414, -1565) top of spire; (-385, -1555) base of spire south of the Crystalline Archipelago fast-travel point; (-362, -1557) near top of bottom half of split spire, next to tree; (-333, -1561); (-295, -1547); (-252, -1500); (-244, -1489); (-235, -1464); (-207, -1500); (-221, -1550).
- Stops 11–20: (-253, -1421) western outside wall; (-326, -1451); (-351, -1423); (-332, -1391); (-347, -1362); (-400, -1370); (-418, -1443); (-465, -1420); (-484, -1367); (-522, -1368).
- Stops 21–30: (-567, -1344); (-546, -1318) bottom of larger waterfall next to Defense System; (-580, -1462) base of cliff face; (-584, -1484) inside gazebo most of way up cliff; (-556, -1530); (-516, -1547) just behind the portal; (-450, -1561) top of spire; (-392, -1495); (-349, -1509); (-506, -1467) point of largest of three floating rocks.
That is 30 placements, so you can skip up to 10 awkward ones and still reach 20.
▶Second Yakumo Effigy
▶Collectibles · 1 1 collectible
Floating-island shrine — Sunreach (-281, -1458), inside the open shrine on the eastern floating island north of Sunreach Watchtower.
Collect the Yakumo Effigy located in Sunreach:
- Floating-island shrine (-281, -1458). From the Sunreach Watchtower fast-travel point, go north across the small lake and take the narrow cliff path up the eastern floating island. The Effigy sits on a pedestal inside a small open, pillared shrine near the cliff edge. A flying Pal saves a long climb.
If you took the Feybreak one, you should now have two of four. The final two are inside the World Tree progression.
▶Azure Covenant Tower
Once the Defense Modules have been handled, enter the tower.
▶Sunreach Sovereign
Defeat Auri & Shaolong.
Complete the normal tower battle.
Auri and Shaolong are Lv68. This is the eighth normal tower clear in the current main tower sequence, and it awards the eighth Key Sphere needed for the World Tree.
Defeating Auri and Shaolong unlocks the tower Hard Mode rematch system for every tower you have already beaten. Do not immediately grind the six required Hard victories unless your current equipment already makes the fights trivial. Endgame World Tree gear makes this substantially easier.
▶Sunreach Notes
These six are spares:
- Auri's Diary – 1 (-250, -1420). It sits under a grate in a floating-island temple. Reach it through a hidden cave entrance in the recessed lake to the northwest.
- Auri's Diary – 2 (-239, -1479).
- Auri's Diary – 3 (-583, -1498).
- Auri's Diary – 4 (-437, -1510).
- Auri's Diary – 5 (-454, -1329).
- Auri's Diary – 6 (-561, -1341).
▶Panthalus and the World Tree
▶Echoing Flute Quest
After Auri and Shaolong, continue the main story rather than heading directly to the World Tree barrier.
The next progression chain leads to the materials and quest steps needed to summon Panthalus:
- Talk to the Ancient Civilization Researcher on the Deserted Islet, around (-173, 34), to receive the Faded Schematic.
- Collect four Echobones, one from each giant whale skeleton: Marine (124, -525), Silent (355, -110), Seafoam (-516, -549) on Mount Obsidian, and Tidewind (-262, 485) in the Astral Mountains.
- Craft the Echoing Flute at a workbench and return to the researcher. This unlocks the shrine.
- Prepare your team before you interact with the shrine. A boss-battle prompt should appear, but some players report the fight starting straight away, so do not walk up to the shrine unprepared.
Panthalus is a scripted Lv70 Water boss, weak to Electric, with a weak point in the blue crystal on its head. It circles in deep water around a small arena island and does not attack until you damage it. Fight from the air if you can. Late in the fight it sends two huge converging waves across the island; jump or fly over them using the air currents that appear.
You have 10 minutes. Its health cannot drop below 1, so you cannot kill it by accident, and it ignores Pal Spheres until its health is depleted. At 1 HP it lies stunned on the island, and any Pal Sphere catches it, so you do not need top-tier spheres. A few spheres also lie on the island.
▶Legendary Ocean King
Catch a Panthalus.
Summon Panthalus with the Echoing Flute, drain its health to 1 within the 10-minute limit, and throw any Pal Sphere while it lies stunned.
The achievement unlocks when Panthalus is successfully caught.
Keep Panthalus; the next quest uses it.
▶Entering the World Tree
After the capture, talk to the researcher again to receive the "To the World Tree" quest.
Travel to the Foot of the World Tree in the far northwest, around (-812, 673), and interact with the altar there. A cutscene summons Panthalus and opens the way, then walk up the entry staircase. Panthalus does not need to be in your party for this, but carrying it costs nothing.
Deeper in, the World Tree's final door requires all eight Key Spheres from the eight tower bosses, Zoe and Grizzbolt through Auri and Shaolong. If any tower is unfinished, go back and clear it.
▶To the World Tree
Set foot within the World Tree.
The achievement unlocks when your character actually enters the World Tree region.
Reaching the exterior barrier is not enough.
▶World Tree
▶First Exploration Pass
Do not rush directly to the final boss.
The World Tree contains its own exploration content, endgame materials, Effigies, Pals, and the remaining Yakumo collectibles.
Clear convenient optional objectives while following the main story path.
▶World Tree Guru
Obtain 20 Cattiva Effigies.
Collect 20 Cattiva Effigies in the World Tree. These coordinates use the World Tree map. The route starts in the south of the Gilded City Ruins, runs north to the Abandoned Laboratory, then crosses east through the Dusty Ravine and back west.
- Stops 1–10: (-1930, 1152); (-1954, 1242); (-1968, 1331); (-1971, 1368) at the bottom; (-1910, 1411); (-1899, 1446); (-1935, 1485); (-1951, 1555); (-1934, 1596); (-1945, 1640) between legs of Anubis statue.
- Stops 11–20: (-1830, 1606); (-1836, 1569); (-1770, 1567); (-1709, 1541); (-1671, 1510); (-1626, 1541); (-1604, 1518); (-1546, 1515); (-1580, 1582); (-1640, 1457) next to waterfall.
- Stops 21–30: (-1703, 1433); (-1710, 1463); (-1640, 1376); (-1656, 1356) at the top; (-1644, 1344); (-1611, 1328); (-1454, 1384); (-1799, 1332) next to waterfall; (-1816, 1309); (-1812, 1408).
That is 30 placements, so you can skip up to 10 awkward ones and still reach 20.
▶Final Yakumo Effigies
▶Collectibles · 2 2 collectibles
Lakeside ruined building — World Tree (-1910, 1363), outside the entrance of the lakeside ruin west of Gilded City Ruins Watchtower.
Abandoned Laboratory Anubis statue — World Tree (-1945, 1612), between the legs of the left statue at the lab entrance.
Two Yakumo Effigies remain in the World Tree. The World Tree has its own map grid, so these coordinates refer to the World Tree map:
- Lakeside ruined building (-1910, 1363). From the Gilded City Ruins Watchtower, head west to an isolated ruined building beside a lake, beneath the long elevated walkway. The Effigy is outside the main entrance at the top of the steps. High-level Pals roam the area, so fly in and land at the entrance.
- Abandoned Laboratory Anubis statue (-1945, 1612). From the Abandoned Laboratory fast-travel point, walk outside to the two large Anubis statues flanking the lab entrance. Facing the entrance, the Effigy sits between the legs of the left statue. Climb or fly up to it. The right statue holds a Cattiva Effigy instead, so if you grabbed that one and World Traveler is still missing, check the left statue. The area is cold and patrolled by high-level Pals.
▶World Traveler
Obtain four Yakumo Effigies.
The complete route is one during Feybreak progression, one during Sunreach progression, and two during the World Tree portion.
The achievement unlocks when the fourth Yakumo Effigy is obtained.
▶Awakening
The World Tree progression provides access to the materials used by the 1.0 Awakening system, which permanently boosts one Pal.
Awakening uses an Awakening Crystal crafted at the Ancient Workbench. The reported recipe is 50 element-matching Radiant Gems, which drop from World Tree Pals, plus 10 World Tree Holy Water.
Gather these materials as you explore rather than leaving the region and returning solely for this achievement.
▶Hidden Potential
Awaken a Pal for the first time.
Put the Pal you want to awaken in your party, open your inventory, select the Awakening Crystal, choose Use, and pick that Pal.
The achievement unlocks when the Awakening is applied. You do not need to fully awaken multiple Pals.
▶Final Story Battle
Two story quests stand between you and the final boss. World Tree coordinates use the World Tree map:
- Sin: Speak to the World Tree Guardian near Teafant Spring, around (-1534, 1368).
- The Sealed Calamity: The Sealed Sanctum barrier around (-1979, 1361) needs three keys. A note behind a nearby pillar, around (-1981, 1365), points to the three guardian fights below.
- Silvance is a Lv78 Grass boss at Shinespore Root, around (-1935, 1135). It drops Silvance's Plume. Fire works well.
- Dandilord is a Lv78 Dark/Grass boss at Rotmist Root, around (-1679, 1644), reached through Corroded Hollow. It drops Dandilord's Petal.
- The Highly Modified Pals gauntlet is in the Forbidden Laboratory, around (-1998, 1626). It is a series of fights against paired, modified versions of the tower bosses' Pals, and it drops the Modified Pal's Contaminated Core.
With all three keys the barrier opens. The inner door also needs all eight Key Spheres from the tower bosses in your inventory.
The final boss is the Zenara & Astralym duo (Lv80) in the Sealed Sanctum inside the World Tree. Astralym is the Pal half of the duo and cannot be captured. Bring a team as close to Lv80 as you can manage.
▶Savior of Palpagos
Defeat Astralym.
Win the final story battle against Zenara & Astralym.
After the victory, your world remains available. There is no required second playthrough, so all remaining achievements can be cleaned up on the same save.
▶World Tree Notes
These nine are spares and use World Tree map coordinates:
- Zenara's Diary – 1 (-1896, 1444).
- Zenara's Diary – 2 (-1713, 1393).
- Zenara's Diary – 3 (-1975, 1622), on a tower near one of the air pads.
- Zenara's Diary – 4 (-1950, 1192).
- Zenara's Diary – 5 (-1935, 1476).
- A scorched piece of paper (-1986, 1355).
- Audio Recording from a Council Meeting (-1908, 1300).
- Ancient Recorder (-1439, 1390).
- Suppression Operation Comms Log (-1637, 1556).
▶Post-Story Legendary Pal Cleanup
▶Capture the Four Original Legends
The original four legendary Pal achievements require captures, not kills.
Their habitats have changed across Palworld updates, so ignore old Early Access coordinates. All four are Alphas that attack on sight. They can only be bred from a pair of the same species, so a wild capture is required first.
Bring your highest-tier spheres and consider equipment that prevents you from accidentally delivering the killing blow.
▶Legendary Celestial Dragon
Capture a Jetragon.
Jetragon moved in 1.0 from Mount Obsidian to Sunreach. Its Lv70 Alpha encounter is around (-553, -1332). Weaken Jetragon and capture it.
The achievement unlocks on the successful capture.
▶Holy Knight of Legend
Capture a Paladius.
Paladius is a Lv60 Alpha in the Desiccated Desert, around (447, 679). It shares this arena with Necromus. Capture it.
▶Dark Knight of Legend
Capture a Necromus.
Necromus is a Lv60 Alpha in the same Desiccated Desert arena as Paladius, around (447, 679). Capture it.
Paladius and Necromus can be handled during the same trip.
▶Legendary Steed of Ice
Capture a Frostallion.
Frostallion is a Lv60 Alpha in the Astral Mountains, around (-357, 509). Capture it.
Frostallion Noct is a different species and does not count for this achievement.
Do not settle for defeating these four. Their achievements require them to enter your roster.
▶Tower Hard Mode
▶Six Unique Hard Mode Rematches
The current Hard Mode system becomes available after you defeat Auri and Shaolong in the Azure Covenant Tower. You do not need to beat the final boss first. Once it is unlocked, interact with any tower you have already cleared and choose the Hard option.
Hard bosses are much stronger: Zoe and Grizzbolt are Lv72, Lily and Lyleen Lv74, Axel and Orserk Lv76, Marcus and Faleris Lv78, and the rest Lv80. Each Hard fight has a 5-minute time limit. If time runs out, you are killed and ejected.
The achievement requires six different tower bosses beaten on Hard Mode. Beating the same boss repeatedly does not count.
For the lowest-cost route, use the first six tower encounters:
- Zoe & Grizzbolt
- Lily & Lyleen
- Axel & Orserk
- Marcus & Faleris
- Victor & Shadowbeak
- Saya & Selyne
You may use other eligible towers instead, but there is no completion benefit to choosing harder ones.
▶Champion of the Palpagos Islands
Defeat 6 tower bosses in Hard Mode.
Enter each tower's dedicated Hard Mode rematch and defeat six different bosses.
Your world's ordinary difficulty setting is irrelevant to this requirement. Make sure the tower itself is explicitly set to Hard Mode.
The achievement unlocks on the sixth different Hard Mode tower victory. If it does not, also clear Bjorn and Bastigor and Auri and Shaolong on Hard Mode.
Hard Mode tower clears also open new Expedition destinations that return raid slab fragments, which helps the Raid Boss Route.
▶Raid Boss Route
▶Raid Base Preparation
Use a separate disposable base for raid bosses, or the dedicated Raid Area option, rather than summoning them inside your main production settlement.
Raid fights can devastate nearby structures and working Pals. If the boss destroys the Palbox, the raid ends in defeat. Each raid has a 10-minute timer.
Build the Summoning Altar. It unlocks at Technology Level 33 (Ancient Technology, 3 points), costs 100 Stone and 20 Paldium Fragments, and must be built inside a base.
Each raid slab is crafted at a workbench from 4 matching slab fragments. Fragments come from:
- chests, including Lv45+ dungeon exit chests and sanctuary chests
- Expeditions
- the Expedition destinations that open after Hard Mode tower clears
Hartalis fragments come from late Expedition destinations and from Sakurajima and Feybreak chests.
The most reliable repeatable source for each slab is the Pal Expedition Station. Hard Mode tower Expeditions appear after Hard Mode tower clears (and need Feybreak Tower cleared on Normal). They take two hours, need a strong team of one element, and return 1–2 fragments of a fixed type:
- Bellanoir: Rayne Syndicate Smuggling Warehouse (Zoe and Grizzbolt on Hard). It also drops from final chests in dungeons of about Lv19 and up, and from Wildlife Sanctuary chests.
- Bellanoir Libero: Free Pal Alliance Illicit Trading Post (Lily and Lyleen on Hard), or the Hidden Sanctum of the Desert normal Expedition. It also drops from the final chests of the Volcanic Cavern and Sacred Mountain Cavern dungeons.
- Blazamut Ryu: PIDF Illegal Factory (Marcus and Faleris on Hard) or Moonflower's Secret Hideout (Saya and Selyne on Hard).
- Xenolord: Eternal Pyre's Forbidden Market (Axel and Orserk on Hard) or PAL Genetic Research Laboratory (Victor and Shadowbeak on Hard).
- Hartalis: Ancient Feybreak Ruins (Bjorn and Bastigor on Hard).
- Fallback for Blazamut Ryu, Xenolord, and Hartalis: the Celestial Sakura Cavern, Dark Cave of Feybreak, Sunreach Isle, and World Tree Subterranean City Ruins normal Expeditions each roll one of the three.
You need at least one fragment in your inventory before the slab recipe appears at the workbench.
Fight the raids roughly in level order: Bellanoir (about Lv30–35), Bellanoir Libero (about Lv45–50), Blazamut Ryu (about Lv55), Xenolord (about Lv60–65), then Hartalis (about Lv65–70).
Raid bosses cannot be captured with spheres. Every victory awards a guaranteed egg of the boss instead.
Custom combat settings can substantially reduce the difficulty without disabling achievements.
▶Bellanoir
The standard Bellanoir raid is the first and easiest raid.
▶Twilight Siren
Twilight Siren100G
Defeat a summoned Bellanoir.
Summon the standard Bellanoir raid with the correct slab and defeat the raid boss before the timer expires.
Do not waste spheres trying to capture the raid boss during combat. Bellanoir comes from the guaranteed victory egg.
The achievement unlocks when the summoned Bellanoir is defeated.
▶Bellanoir Libero
▶Eclipsed Siren
Eclipsed Siren100G
Defeat a summoned Bellanoir Libero.
Create the Bellanoir Libero slab, summon the correct higher-tier variant, and defeat it.
Standard Bellanoir does not satisfy this achievement.
▶Blazamut Ryu
▶Incarnation of the Eternal Flame
Defeat a summoned Blazamut Ryu.
Assemble the correct raid slab, summon Blazamut Ryu at your raid base, and win the encounter.
▶Xenolord
▶Invader from Space
Defeat a summoned Xenolord.
Gather four Xenolord Slab Fragments (Hard Mode Axel or Victor Expeditions are the steadiest source), craft the slab, summon Xenolord, and defeat it.
Do this after acquiring endgame equipment rather than forcing the fight immediately after Feybreak.
▶Hartalis
▶King of Salvation
Defeat a summoned Hartalis.
Gather four Hartalis Slab Fragments (the Hard Mode Bjorn Expedition is the steadiest source), craft the slab, summon Hartalis at your raid base, and win.
The achievement triggers from defeating the summoned raid boss.
▶Arena Endgame
▶Master and Legend Push
Return to the Arena with an endgame character, strong weapons, upgraded Pals, and current armor.
Offline Challenge battles can be used for the rank achievements. You do not need to find human PvP opponents.
Custom combat settings remain useful here.
▶Arena Champion
Reach Master Rank in the Arena.
Continue winning Arena Challenge battles until your rank reaches Master.
If a particular tier becomes inefficient, improve your equipment or Pal team rather than repeatedly forcing bad matchups.
▶Arena Legend
Arena Legend30G
Reach legend rank in the arena.
Continue beyond Master until the Arena awards Legend rank.
This is the final Arena requirement. No higher rank is needed for achievements.
▶Tides Systems Cleanup
▶Fishing
Use the current fishing system to catch Pals rather than merely collecting ordinary fishing loot.
Fishing needs a Fishing Rod (the Beginner Fishing Set unlocks at Technology Level 15) and any bait. Find a fishing spot showing Pal shadows in the water, aim at a shadow, and cast. When the Pal bites, start the minigame. Hold Fire to keep the green bar over the moving fish icon until the gauge fills.
Better rods have larger bars and make the minigame easier. Fish manually for these achievements. Base Fishing Ponds also produce Pals, but it is not confirmed that their catches count.
The three quantity achievements are cumulative. Lunker Hunter is a separate requirement and depends on successfully landing a Lunker rather than simply fishing many times.
▶Novice Angler
Reel in 10 Pals.
Successfully reel in 10 Pals through fishing.
▶Seasoned Angler
Reel in 30 Pals.
Continue fishing until 30 Pal catches have been completed.
▶Veteran Angler
Reel in 50 Pals.
Reach 50 successfully reeled-in Pals.
There is no need to catch 50 different species.
▶Lunker Hunter
Reel in 1 Lunker.
A Lunker is a fished Pal with the Lunker passive.
At higher-tier fishing spots (Master and above), look for a shadow with a purple pillar of light rising from it. That catch is guaranteed to be an Alpha with the Lunker passive. Purple sparkles (no pillar) mean a Whopper, which does not count.
Use your best rod and Alluring Bait, then land the purple-pillar Pal.
These special shadows appear at random, so do not rely on old claims that a particular fixed number of casts guarantees one.
▶Trust
If you have kept one favorite Pal in your active party for much of the playthrough, check its Trust before beginning a dedicated grind.
Trust level 10 needs 200,000 Trust points. A party Pal gains only about 100 per hour, so passive play alone is far too slow.
Kinship Peaches are the real route. Each Kinship Peach gives 20,000 Trust, so 10 peaches take a Pal from zero to level 10. Little Kinship Peaches give 2,000 each.
Kinship Peaches come from enemy faction base chests and from the Vigilante Bounty Officer, who sells them for Successful Bounty Tokens. Little Kinship Peaches also come from Pals you free at enemy camps.
▶Best Friends Forever
Reach Trust level 10 with a Pal.
Raise one individual Pal to Trust level 10.
Use a long-term party member and finish the remaining Trust by feeding it Kinship Peaches.
You only need one Pal at level 10.
▶Enemy Faction Bases
The faction-base achievements refer to the dedicated faction-base activity introduced with the Tides content, not every ordinary hostile camp or Pal cage scattered around the world.
Faction bases are built and defended by the enemy factions in open, flat areas across the regions. A clear registers when you open the base's large golden chest.
▶Successful Infiltration
Clear 1 enemy faction base.
Fight through one faction base and open its large golden chest.
▶Unstoppable Streak
Clear 10 enemy faction bases.
Continue until 10 faction base clears have registered. Bases restock over time, and repeat clears are reported to count, so you can revisit nearby bases instead of crossing the whole map.
Do not count ordinary roaming camps toward the total.
▶Treasure Maps
Treasure Maps drop from dungeon chests and enemy faction base chests. They cannot be bought or crafted.
The achievement requires finding the treasures identified by maps, not merely owning five maps. No tool is needed to dig. Finish the active map's treasure before opening another map.
▶A Nose for Treasure
Find 5 treasures with Treasure Maps.
For each map:
- Obtain and use the Treasure Map.
- Follow the treasure marker it creates.
- Reach the marked location.
- Recover the buried treasure.
Repeat until five mapped treasures have actually been collected.
If the fifth treasure is clearly collected but the achievement does not appear, fully quit and relaunch Palworld before repeating anything.
▶High-Level Oil Rig
▶Attack Chopper
The Attack Chopper belongs to the Platform Oil Rig (Lv60), at about (-1730, -1450), west of the Feybreak Shipwreck fast-travel point.
This is not the main Oil Rig used earlier for Conqueror of the Sea. The Platform rig has anti-air lasers and rocket platforms.
Bring strong ranged damage and use the rig's structures for cover. Shipping containers and metal shacks block the chopper's rockets. Rig enemies respawn at dawn, so do not clear the rig too slowly.
▶No-Fly Zone
No-Fly Zone30G
Defeat Attack Chopper.
The Attack Chopper spawns when you start hacking the cage around the large reward chest. Every remaining enemy on the rig turns hostile at the same moment, so clear as many guards and turrets as possible before you start the hack. There is no time limit on the chopper fight. Destroy the helicopter.
The achievement unlocks when the Attack Chopper is defeated.
If the chopper is clearly destroyed but the achievement does not appear, fully quit and relaunch Palworld before attempting another rig clear.
▶Breeding and Mutation
▶Mutation
Mutation is part of the breeding system rather than an overworld capture requirement.
Use a Breeding Farm and continue producing eggs. Each egg has about a 1% base chance to be mutated. Wild eggs do not mutate.
The Extravagant Vegetable Cake raises the chance to about 3%, which works out to roughly 33 eggs on average. It unlocks at Technology Level 60 and is cooked at a Large-Scale Stone Oven or Ancient Kitchen. Ordinary Vegetable Cake, Mushroom Cake, and Special Cake do not improve mutation odds.
A mutated egg looks visibly different from a normal egg.
▶Meddling With Mutation
Mutate a Pal for the first time.
Keep the Breeding Farm stocked with Extravagant Vegetable Cake until a mutated egg appears, then hatch it to complete the Pal acquisition.
Do not assume that a certain number of eggs guarantees success.
▶Lifmunk Effigy Cleanup
▶Current 1.0 Thresholds
Ignore old guides that tell you to collect 255 or 300 Lifmunk Effigies for these achievements.
Those are obsolete pre-1.0 requirements.
The current Xbox achievement thresholds are 50 and 100.
▶Palpagos Guru
Obtain 50 Lifmunk Effigies.
Collect your fiftieth Lifmunk Effigy.
If you have been picking them up during normal exploration, this should occur well before the end of the story.
▶Palpagos Guardian
Obtain 100 Lifmunk Effigies.
Continue until 100 Lifmunk Effigies have been obtained.
Using your Lifmunk Effigies for their normal progression purpose at a Statue of Power does not require you to postpone this achievement grind. If the counter still looks stuck, collect a few more.
The Palpagos map holds 140 Lifmunk Effigies, with 15 more in the World Tree, for 155 in total. You need 100, so you can skip up to 55.
The achievements count Effigies you collect. Offering them at a Statue of Power is a separate step that raises your Capture Power, and offering all 100 takes it to its maximum rank. Offering them does not reduce the achievement count.
The game does not mark Effigies, so use Nox. If you pulsed Nox on every regional route, many of these are already done. For the rest, work through the regions below, pulse Nox at each listed coordinate, and pick up everything the compass shows within range. The coordinates are every Lifmunk placement on the main map, so walking the list guarantees full coverage even where Nox's 150 m pulse would leave gaps between stops.

- Single Effigies on islands: Marsh Island (367, -323), Islet of Circular Ruins (908, -98), Glacial Memento Islet (-1690, -946).
Those regions hold 15 + 9 + 12 + 11 + 15 + 15 + 15 + 15 + 15 + 15 + 3 = 140. The mainland regions alone (Windswept Hills through the Astral Mountains) hold 92, so the mainland plus Sakurajima clears 100 with spares. The World Tree's 15 are an extra fallback.
▶Final Counter Cleanup
▶Finish the Long-Running Systems
At this stage, inspect your achievement list rather than grinding counters blindly.
The systems introduced throughout the route should leave only partial cleanup.
For Overhunting, visit dense low-level regions with boosted capture settings and repeatedly catch common Pals until the 1,000-capture counter finishes.
For Sphere Craftsman, queue inexpensive spheres.
For Iron Heart, continue mass-producing basic Ingots.
For Blood and Iron, mass-produce arrows if normal ammunition production has not already reached 20,000. If you have not yet confirmed that arrows advance the counter, check the progress after the first batch.
For Voice of Resentment, feed the duplicate Pals generated by Overhunting into the Pal Essence Condenser.
For Pal Labor Professor, spend accumulated Ancient Pal Manuscripts on inexpensive unfinished research projects.
For Elite Pal Dispatcher, keep several bases running Expedition Stations if you still need completed expeditions.
For Senior Adventurer, clear whichever convenient dungeons also provide materials you still need.
▶Achievement Count Verification
A complete current Xbox run should include:
- 10 original achievements.
- 2 Bellanoir raid-update achievements.
- 19 Sakurajima achievements.
- 2 Feybreak achievements.
- 11 Crossplay achievements.
- 12 Tides of Terraria achievements.
- 1 Home Sweet Home achievement.
- 18 version 1.0 achievements.
That is 75 achievements and 2,820 Gamerscore.
If every achievement above is complete, Palworld is at 100%.
