Route Summary

Pigeon Simulator has 10 Xbox achievements worth 1,000 Gamerscore. All 10 belong to the base-game list, with no DLC or title-update achievements in the Xbox stack as of 2026-10-13.

Online co-op is supported for 2-4 players, but no achievement requires multiplayer. The entire completion can be done solo.

There are no traditional missable achievements, difficulty requirements, alternate endings, or multiple campaign playthroughs. The important exception is the run structure behind You are an eagle now!: the game only saves after a successful mission, and dying or failing a mission wipes your save back to a fresh start — money, pigeon upgrades, and map unlocks all reset. The final upgrade grind needs to be completed without registering a failed mission.

The efficient route is:

  • Finish the tutorial while farming the three device-use achievements and attempting the tutorial shortcut for Dutiful agent!.
  • Buy one piece of equipment.
  • Start a mission and deliberately fail it immediately for You are fired!.
  • Continue on the fresh save the failure leaves you with.
  • Spend the fresh starting money on your first pigeon upgrade.
  • Complete the first quota for Collector!.
  • Continue succeeding at missions, funneling almost all money into pigeon upgrades until everything is purchased.

The first two successful missions are effectively your setup phase. After completing the second, the map-selection station becomes available. From that point, repeatedly using Outskirts is a reliable solo strategy because its open layout makes anomaly collection and escaping enemies easier.

Do not fail a mission once the real upgrade run begins. If a run starts going badly, prioritize meeting the quota and leaving over squeezing out a little more money.

As of 2026-10-13, the full achievement list remains obtainable. No achievement is currently identified as discontinued or unobtainable.
Optional shortcut: Co-op uses a shared host wallet. Joining a host who already has enough money reportedly lets the joining player buy the entire upgrade tree and unlock You are an eagle now!. Online co-op on console needs an online multiplayer subscription (Game Pass Essential or higher). The route below does not depend on this shortcut.

Tutorial

Play the tutorial before starting your real run. Several achievement counters can be advanced here without consuming normal mission resources.

Extraction Tutorial

Dutiful agent!

The legitimate requirement is to send 50 Anomalies for analysis. The counter is cumulative, and normal anomaly deliveries continue counting across missions and even failed runs.

There is a much faster shortcut in the extraction tutorial room, the room where the tutorial introduces the extraction machine:

  • Get the Anomaly Trunk and place it on the extraction point.
  • Press Y repeatedly on the lever beside the extraction machine.
  • Watch the achievement tracker and keep pressing until Dutiful agent! unlocks at 50 sends.

Do not leave the room through the next door until the achievement unlocks. A similar method using an ordinary cardboard box on the machine has also been reported, but it is less established, so use the Trunk first.

If presses stop advancing the tracker, stop immediately and continue the guide. You will naturally send plenty of anomalies during the full-upgrade run.

Anomaly Revealer Tutorial

Continue until the tutorial introduces the Anomaly Revealer in the room with the car and hidden anomaly.

Crime investigator!

The achievement requires 30 uses of the Anomaly Revealer.

Scan the wrecked car with RB. Then turn back toward the door you entered through, where the Anomaly Revealer is available, and walk over to it to buy it.

Deploy the Revealer on the floor and press Y repeatedly. Each press counts as a use. Continue until Crime investigator! unlocks, then finish the room and move on.

If repeated presses stop counting, simply use Anomaly Revealers during normal missions until you reach 30 total uses.

Chaos Stabilizer Tutorial

The next relevant room contains the statue and flying objects.

Stop! Don't Move!

The achievement requires 20 uses of the Chaos Stabilizer.

Scan the statue with RB. Turn back toward the door you entered through and walk over to the Chaos Stabilizer cabinet to buy it.

Deploy it near its starting cabinet, away from the statue, and press Y repeatedly. Using it close to the statue can complete its normal stabilization and end the repeated-use shortcut. Continue until Stop! Don't Move! unlocks, then take it to the statue and finish the tutorial objective.

If presses stop counting before you reach 20, continue normally rather than wasting time. Additional Chaos Stabilizer uses during missions remain valid.

Dimensional Seal Tutorial

Continue to the room with the pink dimensional material and a central statue.

Portal Wrapper!

The achievement requires 10 uses of the Dimensional Seal.

Scan the statue with RB. Turn back toward the door you entered through and walk over to the Dimensional Seal to buy it.

Deploy it on the floor and press Y repeatedly until Portal Wrapper! unlocks.

Then use the device normally to finish the room and complete the tutorial.

If the repeated presses do not count in your version, continue playing. Dimensional Seal uses during normal missions remain cumulative.

Throwaway Run

Before starting the long upgrade run, deliberately clear the achievements that encourage spending money or failing.

This prevents you from intentionally destroying a run after you have already invested time into upgrades.

Hub Setup

After the tutorial, enter the mission-preparation area containing the equipment shop, Upgrade Station, and mission van.

Experienced customer!

Buying a device in the tutorial may already have unlocked this. If it has not, buy any piece of equipment from the shop.

The Chaos Echo Sensor is a useful choice because it helps locate anomalies, but the specific equipment does not matter for the achievement.

Experienced customer! unlocks as soon as the purchase is completed.

Do not worry about preserving this run's money. You are about to fail deliberately and start over.

First Mission and Deliberate Failure

Enter the mission van and begin a mission.

Welcome, Pigeon!

After loading into the mission, open the van and enter the level.

Welcome, Pigeon! unlocks when your first mission actually begins.

Do not collect enough anomalies to meet the quota on this run.

You are fired!

You now need to register a failed mission.

Return to the van and end the mission without meeting its quota. Dying also fails the mission, so letting the hostile anomalies kill you works as an alternative.

You are fired! unlocks once the game records the failed mission. The tutorial does not count; this must be a real mission.

Failure wipes your save back to a fresh start — money, upgrades, and map unlocks — which is exactly why this is being done now rather than later.

Continue on that fresh solo save. From this point forward, avoid dying or failing any mission until every pigeon upgrade has been purchased.

Uninterrupted Upgrade Run

The rest of the completion is one continuous economy and survival run.

Your long-term objective is to buy every upgrade from the Upgrade Station. The complete upgrade tree costs $27,860 across four categories:

  • Ground Movement: $3,310
  • Flying Movement: $12,650
  • Shooting: $5,890
  • Environment: $6,010

Equipment purchases do not contribute to You are an eagle now!, so do not repeatedly spend money on gadgets unless one genuinely improves your survival.

Safety net: The game only saves after a successful mission. If failure looks likely, quit to the main menu before it registers; if you die, close the game from the dashboard immediately. Both reportedly return you to your last successful save. Treat these as recoveries, never a strategy — see If the Upgrade Run Starts Going Bad.

Fresh Start and First Upgrade

A fresh save begins with enough money for the cheapest pigeon upgrade.

Go directly to the Upgrade Station before starting the first mission.

Taste of power!

Purchase the cheapest available pigeon upgrade. The inexpensive early Ground Movement upgrade is ideal because movement is useful throughout the entire run.

Taste of power! unlocks immediately when your first pigeon upgrade is purchased.

Every upgrade you purchase from this point also contributes toward You are an eagle now!.

Prioritize upgrades that make the run safer before spending heavily on damage:

  • Maximum health and other survival improvements.
  • Ragdoll Speed Recovery, so being knocked over does not leave you helpless for long — long ragdoll states are a common cause of lost runs.
  • Bread, which lets you heal while stationary.
  • Flight speed and extra air jumps.
  • Stamina and other mobility upgrades.
  • Shooting (poop) power and attack speed once survivability feels comfortable.

The exact order after that is flexible. You eventually need every upgrade anyway.

Day 1: First Successful Mission

Enter the first mission and concentrate on learning the anomaly loop.

Use Pigeon Vision and the environment to identify suspicious objects, bring anomalies back to the extraction point, place them into the system, and send them for analysis.

The first mission's minimum quota is 400. Always follow the quota displayed in-game.

Collector!

Continue depositing anomalies until the displayed quota has been satisfied.

Collector! unlocks for fulfilling the mission's minimum quota. If it does not appear the moment the quota is met, pull the extraction lever beside the quota board to finish the mission successfully.

Do not leave immediately if the area is still safe. The early missions are relatively manageable, so gathering additional easy anomalies before extracting gives you more money to invest in upgrades.

Do not turn this into a risky full-map clear. Your upgrade run is worth more than a little extra cash. Once enemies or the Chaos level become uncomfortable, finish the mission.

Back at the hub, spend your earnings on pigeon upgrades.

If Dutiful agent! did not unlock from the tutorial shortcut, every anomaly you send during these missions continues progressing its 50-send requirement.

Day 2: Build the Pigeon, Not the Inventory

Complete the second mission normally.

Again, meet the required quota first. After that, grab nearby high-value anomalies or easy enemy drops only while the risk remains low.

Spend the money at the Upgrade Station when you return.

Avoid repeatedly purchasing disposable equipment. The Echo Sensor can be useful if you struggle to locate anomalies, but equipment money is money not being spent toward the full upgrade tree.

Portals can contain valuable rewards, but their appearance and payoff are not consistent enough to make them mandatory. Enter one when the situation looks safe. Skip it when your health is low or the current mission is already becoming dangerous.

Your priorities remain survival and mobility. Faster movement lets you escape threats, return anomalies more quickly, and spend less time exposed while Chaos continues increasing.

Day 3 and Beyond: Repeat Outskirts

After completing the first two successful missions, the map-selection station becomes available.

Choose Outskirts for subsequent missions when possible.

Repeating one map is more efficient than constantly learning new layouts. Outskirts has open roads, numerous accessible anomalies, and enough space to fly away when hostile enemies begin appearing. The burger hut and the nearby University are good starting areas for anomaly hunting.

Use the same general pattern each day:

  • Secure the required quota before taking unnecessary risks.
  • Collect extra nearby anomalies while the map is still calm.
  • Learn which objects regularly appear as anomalies on your route.
  • Use rooftops and flight to move quickly between clusters.
  • Kill enemies only when doing so is safer than ignoring them.
  • Pick up useful cash drops when they are directly on your path.
  • Leave once additional exploration becomes more dangerous than valuable.

As the Chaos level rises, stronger threats become more common. Do not stay in a mission merely because another anomaly might be nearby. If the screen suddenly darkens or an unusual high-risk enemy appears, extract promptly if the quota is met.

The goal is not to maximize the earnings of one mission. The goal is to keep the run alive long enough to purchase the entire upgrade tree.

Keep buying upgrades after every successful mission.

If Dutiful agent! is still unfinished, it should unlock once your cumulative total reaches 50 anomaly sends. Failed missions from before the real run do not erase that achievement progress.

Final Upgrade Push

As your pigeon becomes stronger, later missions become much easier to survive. Mobility lets you disengage from bad fights, while health and shooting upgrades give you more room for mistakes.

Continue repeating safe missions and spending essentially all available money at the Upgrade Station.

There is no requirement to defeat every enemy, completely clear every map, or purchase every piece of equipment.

You are an eagle now!

Purchase every remaining item in the pigeon Upgrade Station.

The achievement unlocks when the final pigeon upgrade is purchased.

Equipment-shop items are not part of this requirement.

The critical condition is maintaining the same successful run long enough to accumulate and spend the full $27,860. If you die or register a failed mission before finishing the upgrade tree, your save is wiped and you will need to rebuild every upgrade — unless one of the recovery options in If the Upgrade Run Starts Going Bad works.

Once You are an eagle now! unlocks, the Xbox list is complete.

Troubleshooting and Safety Nets

If a Tutorial Spam Method Does Not Work

Do not restart the entire game repeatedly trying to force an old shortcut.

Crime investigator!, Stop! Don't Move!, and Portal Wrapper! are cumulative use achievements. Continue using the corresponding devices during missions until their required totals are reached.

Dutiful agent! is also cumulative. If the tutorial extraction shortcut does not work, simply continue sending real anomalies during the upgrade run until the 50th send triggers the achievement.

None of these fallback routes requires another successful full-upgrade run.

If the Upgrade Run Starts Going Bad

Protect the run before protecting your income.

If your health is getting low, stop hunting extra anomalies. Meet the quota and extract.

Do not assume the van is completely safe from every attack. Area-of-effect enemies have been reported to damage players even when they are trying to shelter near or inside it.

The save behavior itself is reliable: the game saves only after a successful mission, and a failed mission wipes the save. The two recovery options below are community-reported, not guaranteed:

  • Preferred: if a mission is going badly and failure looks likely, quit to the main menu before the failure registers. This reportedly sends you back to your last successful save, so you replay the current mission without losing earlier upgrades.
  • Fallback: if you die, close the game from the dashboard immediately, before any fail or results screen appears. This reportedly also returns you to before that mission, but the exact cutoff is not documented, so do it the instant you die.

The reliable strategy is simpler: upgrade survivability early, learn one map well, stop overextending once the quota is secure, and never deliberately risk a completed mission for optional money.
