▶Completion Plan
▶Xbox Status and Route Plan
RuneScape: Dragonwilds has 50 Xbox achievements worth 1,000G on Xbox Series X|S and Windows. There is no achievement-bearing DLC; the Deluxe Edition Upgrade add-on is cosmetic only. The game supports online co-op, but no achievement needs another player, so the whole completion can be done solo.
This guide is verified against version 1.0.1. Make sure the game is on 1.0.1 or later before you attempt Strike True or fight Queen Kuldra; earlier builds could fail to award both.
As of 2026-10-14, no achievement is CURRENTLY CONFIRMED UNOBTAINABLE or CURRENTLY CONFIRMED DISCONTINUED on Xbox.
Achievements are not retroactive. If your character completed actions before achievements were added to the game, you may have to redo them. A character created on the 1.0 release is unaffected.
Every achievement must be triggered by your own character's action. In co-op, a teammate's kill, cast or quest step does not unlock it for you.
Protect your save. Around launch, some console players lost worlds or had characters corrupted, mainly after disconnecting, putting the console to sleep mid-session, or editing character appearance. Fixes are in, but Jagex says a very small number of residual cases are still being investigated. Always exit to the main menu before closing the game or putting the console to sleep, and do not rely on Quick Resume to hold a live session. This may reduce exposure to session-related save problems, but it cannot guarantee save safety.
Tracked Xbox completions currently take roughly 150 to 200 hours. A fully legitimate solo run that levels every skill to 99 at a relaxed pace can take considerably longer, mostly because of Fishing and Runecrafting.
One character and one world are enough. There are no difficulty achievements, mutually exclusive ending achievements, or New Game+ achievements. There is no point of no return: after Regicide you keep playing normally, and every secondary quest, Agility course and skill stays available.
Eleven achievements are hidden on Xbox:
- the five boss kills
- the five regional secondary-quest achievements
- Doric's Fire Fried Chicken
Most of the completion is reaching Level 99 in all twelve achievement-bearing skills. Each skill needs 1,000,000 XP for Level 99, and the last few levels make up about half of that. Do not stop normal progression to grind these early. Finish the story, regional secondary quests, spell and skill challenges and Agility courses first, so all of that experience counts toward Level 99.
The main story route is:
- Temple Woods and Brynmoor
- Ghornfell
- Fellhollow
- Dowdun Reach
- Umbral Sands
- Scorned Wilderness
Complete each region's three-secondary-quest achievement while you are already working through that region. No secondary quest is missable, and all of them stay available after the story. Do not count on the journal to list secondary quests you have not started yet; each region section names where its recommended quests begin. The journal's Completed Quests tab lists everything you have finished, so use it to check which regional sets are complete.
There are six Agility courses. Each has a fixed Agility level requirement and, for the later courses, movement abilities you must have unlocked. Earn Gold on each as you meet its requirements. Course icons only appear on the map when you get close, so each course's starting landmark is listed in Regional Gold Medal Sweep.
Several achievements refer to specific skill spells or abilities, and each one unlocks at a fixed skill level. Skill levels are not gated by story progress. You will often arrive in a region below the level a setup needs; when that happens, leave it for the Level-Gated Setup Reminders in Level 99 Cleanup. Unlock the named spell or ability first, prepare the setup, then meet every part of the description in the same action where required.
Older Early Access guides may carry outdated skill levels. Magical Mending moved to Artisan Level 56 and Runes to Rune Essence moved to Runecrafting Level 61 for version 1.0. This route uses the current requirements.
▶Temple Woods and Brynmoor
▶First Steps and the Tutorial
The tutorial chain is First Steps, Getting Started, Ratcatcher and Rune Mysteries, all in Temple Woods. Follow it normally, and gather everything the tutorial asks for rather than rushing past basic resource nodes, because the opening sequence naturally unlocks several achievements.
▶Chop Chop
Chop Chop10G
Chop down any tree.
The achievement unlocks when the tree is successfully felled, not merely when you hit it with an axe.
▶Swift Pick
Swift Pick10G
Mine any ore deposit.
Finish breaking the deposit so the mining action registers.
▶Stab, Slash, Crush!
Construct any weapon during the opening crafting sequence. The basic weapon the tutorial leads you toward is sufficient.
▶One Misthalin Star
Cook any food item at a suitable cooking station or fire. A campfire works.
You only need one successfully cooked food item.
▶Crafting to Your Own Rune
Craft any rune once Rune Mysteries introduces Runecrafting.
The achievement unlocks from producing the rune, so there is no reason to stockpile materials before doing this.
▶Not today!
Not today!10G
Parry unlocks at Attack Level 5. Once you have it, use it against a weak enemy.
The rats from Ratcatcher and the early game are ideal, because a failed attempt costs you almost nothing. Block at the last moment before an incoming attack lands. A successful parry briefly staggers the enemy and unlocks the achievement.
▶Establishing Your Brynmoor Base
Continue Getting Started and the early Dragon Slayer setup until the game has you establish a proper shelter. Keep this first base functional because you will soon want farming plots, cooking facilities, storage, and room for several achievement setups.
▶Sheltered
Sheltered10G
Build a base and claim a bed. The Xbox text reads "Build a House and Claim a Bed."
The bed or bed roll must be enclosed by a structure you built yourself, with four walls and a roof. The smallest valid build takes roughly 22 ash logs. Claim the bed after the enclosure is complete. Merely placing a bed, or building walls with no roof, is not the full trigger.
Do not rely on the temporary tent from Summon Shelter (Construction 20). Use a bed inside a shelter you built.
▶Bramblemead and Early Secondary Quests
Brynmoor has five secondary quests:
- Growing Pains
- Shrimp Catcher
- Restless Ghosts
- Goblin Diplomacy
- Highlighting the Problem
Growing Pains and Shrimp Catcher are tutorial-type secondary quests that introduce Farming and Fishing. Do them anyway, because both skills have immediate achievements and eventually need Level 99. It is not confirmed whether these two count toward Helping Around the Farm.
Treat Restless Ghosts, Goblin Diplomacy and Highlighting the Problem as your counted set. Do not count on the journal to show a secondary quest before you start it. Here is where each one begins:
- Restless Ghosts — interact with the Crumbling Well in the ruined part of Bramblemead Village, north-west of the Wise Old Man. Available after First Steps. The ghosts only appear between sunset and sunrise, and the route needs Woodcutting 20 and an axe for thorny vines, plus Windstep or building materials to cross a gap. Starting this quest also gives you the ghostspeak amulet, which a Fellhollow quest needs later.
- Goblin Diplomacy — speak to Zanik on the ridge in Bramblemead Valley overlooking the Whispering Swamp. Available after Rune Mysteries. One amulet is held by a garou druid deep in the Whispering Swamp; its attacks are poison-heavy, so fight it at range.
- Highlighting the Problem — interact with the wizard statue in the Runecrafting Guild on the cliffs directly north of Temple Woods. Available after First Steps. The statue's password is found inside the Thishepen Kara vault, and Windstep is needed for the vault and the tower pedestals.
Growing Pains starts when you first craft a wooden watering can or spade, and Shrimp Catcher when you first craft a coarse net. Both send you to the Wise Old Man in Bramblemead Valley.
▶Fred Would Be Proud
After Farming becomes available, plant any seed in a valid farming plot.
The achievement triggers from planting the seed. It does not require waiting for the crop to mature.
▶Catch of the Day
Catch any fish. Raw Shrimp from the Brynmoor net spot during Shrimp Catcher counts, and so does any other fish from a net or rod spot.
Junk catches such as stones or weeds do not count. If your first pull is junk, keep fishing until you land an actual fish.
▶Winner Winner Fish Dinner
Cook one of your fish into a fish-based food and eat it.
The trigger is consuming the fish-based food, not catching or cooking it.
▶Helping Around the Farm
Complete three secondary quests in Brynmoor.
The reliable set is:
- Restless Ghosts
- Goblin Diplomacy
- Highlighting the Problem
Growing Pains and Shrimp Catcher may also count, but that is unconfirmed, so do not depend on them. Finishing all five Brynmoor secondary quests guarantees the achievement whichever quests the counter accepts. If it unlocks before your third non-tutorial quest, the tutorial quests counted.
▶First Skill Challenges
Several ability-based achievements become possible while you are still around Brynmoor and Ghornfell. Do each one as soon as its unlock level is reached, rather than saving them all for the end.
▶You Axed For It
Axtral Projection unlocks at Woodcutting Level 11 and needs an axe in your inventory.
The conjured axe travels in a straight line with roughly 30 metres of range. Find three trees standing in a line, position yourself at one end so all three are highlighted along the path, then use Axtral Projection once. No single spot is needed: any dense woodland of trees your axe can already cut works. Use the highlight as your check before committing, and adjust your angle until three trees are lit.
The achievement requires three trees cut down by the same conjure. Three separate uses do not count.
▶It's all Mine!
Rocksplosion unlocks at Mining Level 11 and needs a pickaxe. Your pickaxe tier limits which ores it can break, so target deposits your pickaxe can already mine. The blast radius is about 5 metres. The Ultimate Burst perk at Mining 51 widens it, if you struggle to find a tight enough cluster earlier.
Find four ore deposits clustered within that radius. No specific spot is required. Look for a mining area where four nodes of an ore your pickaxe can break sit close enough together that you could touch each from one central position, and cast from the centre. If nothing tight enough turns up early, return after Mining 51 with Ultimate Burst, which makes the cluster far easier to find. Do not start mining them manually first unless you are certain they will survive until the spell lands. The achievement unlocks when a single Rocksplosion breaks four deposits.
▶Strike True
Strike True10G
Trick Shot is a Ranged perk unlocked at Ranged Level 8. The crossbow version needs Ranged 30, but the bow version is enough.
Fully draw your bow and fire. Watch the arrow tip for the spark, which has a matching audio cue, and release the follow-up shot exactly on it so the Trick Shot hits an enemy.
The achievement requires the Trick Shot hit itself. An ordinary ranged hit does not count.
▶Eye can see my house from here!
Eye of Oculus unlocks at Construction Level 11. Activate it at your base and place a building piece while viewing through the Eye.
Casting Eye of Oculus alone does not trigger the achievement. A successful construction action must occur while using it.
▶Ghornfell and Dragon Slayer
▶Fractured Plains and Ghornfell Exploration
Advance Dragon Slayer into Ghornfell and begin working through the Fractured Plains and surrounding areas.
Pick up Ghornfell secondary quests now rather than rushing to the boss. Ghornfell has eight:
- Granite Mauled
- Heartstrings
- Dog Days
- Cook's Assistant
- Animal Magnetism
- A Room With A Garou
- A Melody Remembered
- The Great Body Robbery
Granite Mauled, Heartstrings and Dog Days are a practical three:
- Granite Mauled — speak to Doric on a ruined lookout with a broken bridge, south of Ashien's Watch in the north-east Fractured Plains. The vault boss uses poison gas, so bring antipoison.
- Heartstrings — interact with the glowing memorial stone beside a large blue-leaved tree on top of the hill in the Fractured Plains, above the first Fractured Plains dungeon. Use Windstep to reach it. Keep a free inventory slot for the Crystal Bow reward, or the quest will not complete.
- Dog Days — speak to Vannaka beneath a cliff in the Stormtouched Highlands. It requires killing the Garou King in the north-west castle.
If one of these stalls, Cook's Assistant starts with Slopfinger at the south-west corner of the Fractured Plains, and Animal Magnetism with Manktongue in a ruined cabin in the south-west Fractured Plains. For Animal Magnetism, talk to Manktongue a second time after reading the bottle message, or the ingredient pickups will not work.
Keep levelling your combat skills naturally. Rotate melee, ranged and magic so no combat style falls far behind, because all three eventually need Level 99.
▶First Agility Courses
Agility gains experience passively while you run on foot. Mounted travel gives no Agility experience at all, so travel on foot when the extra time is reasonable. Mounts are still worth using when they save a lot of time.
Each course has a fixed Agility level requirement, and the later courses also need specific movement abilities. Double Jump unlocks at Agility 10 and Air Dash at Agility 32. Run each course only once you meet its requirements. Every course's location, requirements and medal times are listed in Regional Gold Medal Sweep.
▶Medal Winner
Medal Winner10G
Get your first Gold medal on any Agility course.
Chasm Dash in Bramblemead Valley, Brynmoor, needs only Agility 1, and Gold is 0:57 or faster. It is the natural first opportunity. Hit the course orbs in order. Monsters do not attack you on a course, and spells and jumps are allowed, but you cannot build anything to help.
If Gold is frustrating, there is no penalty for returning later. The achievement unlocks when the course awards a Gold result.
Keep tracking the remaining courses after this, because Medal Collector needs Gold on all six.
▶Velgar
Prepare your best current armor, food, ranged supplies, runes, and a nearby respawn point before the Dragon Slayer boss sequence.
▶Dragon Slayer
Defeat Velgar.
The achievement triggers from the boss defeat. Complete the surrounding quest normally afterward so the story advances into the next regional phase.
▶Ghornfell Cleanup
Before committing fully to Fellhollow, finish three Ghornfell secondary quests if you have not already done so.
▶Bark at the Moon
Complete three secondary quests in Ghornfell.
A convenient set is:
- Granite Mauled
- Heartstrings
- Dog Days
Any of the other five Ghornfell secondary quests can substitute: Cook's Assistant, Animal Magnetism, A Room With A Garou, A Melody Remembered and The Great Body Robbery. The achievement unlocks when your third qualifying quest is complete.
▶Fellhollow and Withering Heights
▶Entering Fellhollow
After Dragon Slayer, follow Withering Heights into Fellhollow.
Fellhollow introduces stronger enemies and better resources, so replace obsolete equipment instead of hoarding low-tier gear indefinitely. Continue gathering, cooking, farming, Runecrafting, and Construction as part of normal progression because every resource skill ultimately has a Level 99 achievement.
Pick up Fellhollow secondary quests as you meet their quest givers. Fellhollow has eight:
- Even More Restless Ghosts
- The Wild Hunt
- Things That Go Boom In The Night
- Seeking Salvation
- Doric's Quest
- Letters for the Dead
- What Remains is Written
- Mirror Mirror
Even More Restless Ghosts, The Wild Hunt and Things That Go Boom In The Night are a practical set during this stage. All need Withering Heights started so you can reach Fellhollow:
- Even More Restless Ghosts — speak to Zanik at the three standing stones in the ruins east of Cathan, Bleakfields Valley. You must have started Restless Ghosts in Brynmoor (for the ghostspeak amulet) and disabled all four god shrines in Withering Heights. You will need to build a small enclosed house around a ghost and carry an iron or better pickaxe.
- The Wild Hunt — speak to Vannaka west of Cathan in Bleakfields Valley. Kill three nature spirits, which are white glowing terrorbirds in the willow groves.
- Things That Go Boom In The Night — speak to Vannaka again after finishing The Wild Hunt, which is required. Attack each spectral chinchompa immediately; they vanish quickly and can take up to ten in-game days to respawn.
If you need a substitute, Seeking Salvation starts with Doric in a cave ruin east of the Lake of Lost Souls. Avoid relying on Doric's Quest, which follows Seeking Salvation and needs a rare recipe drop.
▶Midgame Combat and Magic Challenges
▶Singed!
Singed!10G
Fire Magic is a passive that unlocks at Magic Level 21 and is cast with fire runes. Once you have it, hit any enemy with a Fire Magic attack.
The spell only needs to connect. A kill is not required.
▶Doric's Fire Fried Chicken
Use the same Fire Magic, at Magic 21 with fire runes. Chickens can be found in Bramblemead Valley and in Dowdun Reach.
Use fire magic for the killing blow. To avoid ambiguity, do not weaken the chicken with a damage-over-time effect or another attack that could steal the final hit.
The achievement unlocks when the chicken is killed by the fireball.
▶I'll just watch
Confuse unlocks at Magic Level 30. It lasts 45 seconds, has a 120-second cooldown and a 30-metre range.
It only works on lesser, aggressive monsters, not bosses or minibosses. Greater Confuse at Magic 44 widens the range of valid targets. Find two weak hostile enemies together.
Damage one enemy until it is easy to kill, then Confuse the other. Do not hit the confused enemy yourself, because that breaks the spell. Stay out of the finishing exchange and let the confused enemy land the killing blow on its companion while the confusion is still active. A burn or other effect that finishes the target after Confuse expires does not count.
The requirement is not merely making enemies fight. A Confused enemy must actually defeat another enemy.
▶Imaru
Complete the Withering Heights objectives until the confrontation with Imaru.
▶Withering Heights
Defeat Imaru.
The achievement unlocks from defeating the boss. Finish the quest sequence afterward to open the route toward Dowdun Reach.
▶Fellhollow Cleanup
Finish three Fellhollow secondary quests before moving your attention to Dowdun Reach.
▶Don't Fear the Reaper
Complete three secondary quests in Fellhollow.
A convenient set is:
- Even More Restless Ghosts
- The Wild Hunt
- Things That Go Boom In The Night
Any of the other five Fellhollow secondary quests can substitute: Seeking Salvation, Doric's Quest, Letters for the Dead, What Remains is Written and Mirror Mirror. The achievement triggers when the third is completed.
▶Dowdun Reach and Black Knight's Fortress
▶Entering Dowdun Reach
Continue the primary story through Black Knight's Fortress and establish safe travel through Dowdun Reach.
Dowdun Reach has only three secondary quests, Biohazard, Wanted! and What's Theirs is Mine!, and the achievement needs all three. There is no substitute, so complete each one as it becomes available rather than leaving one behind. All three need Black Knight's Fortress started:
- Biohazard — speak to Zanik beneath The Approach, or pick up the corrupted essence sample dropped by any corrupted raven in Dowdun Reach. You need ten samples from ravens around the region, and the finale is on the Grand Hall roof, which needs Windstep.
- Wanted! — speak to Vannaka at the tent in front of The Library, just after you enter Dowdun Reach. It has three boss fights you can do in any order: the Rat Master in The Menagerie, the Hound Master in The Garrison dungeons and the Summoner in the Cathedral crypts. If progress seems stuck, check your quest inventory for the three journal pages.
- What's Theirs is Mine! — speak to Doric in The Nexus, next to the Dreaming Stone. Visit the Cathedral nodestone, the Garrison nodestone and then the Demon Gate, in that order.
▶Advanced Equipment Setups
▶Honed Edge
Honed Edge20G
Enchant a weapon. Cast Enchant Weapon: Fire, which unlocks at Attack Level 20, or Enchant Weapon: Air, which unlocks at Attack Level 30, on an equipped melee weapon.
There is no Water version of the spell. The achievement triggers when the weapon becomes enchanted.
▶Sharp and Shiny
Prepare a melee weapon, Enchant Weapon: Fire or Air, and a whetstone. The whetstone recipe unlocks at Attack Level 40. It is made at the Blacksmith's Bench from 5 granite and 10 stone, not at the crafting table, and gives +15% damage for 10 minutes.
Enchant the weapon, then hone that same weapon with the whetstone while the enchantment is still active. The enchantment lasts 5 minutes, which is plenty, but both effects must overlap on the same weapon.
The achievement unlocks when the weapon is enchanted and honed at the same time.
▶All Buffed Up
Prepare one food that grants a timed buff, one infusion and one potion. Infusions are Cooking Range recipes, for example from the Teamonger perk at Cooking 14 or the Amateur Culinaromancer perk at Cooking 16. Only one infusion buff can be active at a time.
Use all three close together so the food, infusion and potion buff icons are active simultaneously.
Ordinary healing food with no persistent food buff does not satisfy the food portion. Check the item's effect text before consuming it.
▶Black Knight Titan
Progress Black Knight's Fortress until the regional boss encounter. Upgrade equipment before entering rather than trying to force the fight in under-tier gear.
▶Black Knight's Fortress
Defeat the Black Knight Titan.
The achievement triggers from the Titan's defeat.
▶Dowdun Reach Cleanup
Before entering Umbral Sands, confirm that all three Dowdun Reach secondary quests have been completed.
▶Mages & Knights & Demons, oh my!
Complete three secondary quests in Dowdun Reach.
All three are required:
- Biohazard
- Wanted!
- What's Theirs is Mine!
The achievement unlocks when the third qualifying Dowdun Reach secondary quest completes.
▶Umbral Sands and Icthlarin's Little Helper
▶Entering the Desert
After Black Knight's Fortress, continue into Umbral Sands and begin Icthlarin's Little Helper.
Establish reliable water, food, storage, and a convenient travel point before doing a full regional sweep. The desert is also where several later skill requirements become practical, so continue harvesting the higher-tier resources you encounter instead of returning to low-tier zones for routine experience.
Umbral Sands has four secondary quests:
- Contact! — speak to the Avisk Crystal in the Dunes of Uzzer. Bring a shovel, a pickaxe and 4 vault shards.
- Brink of Extinction — speak to Zi at The Burning Spire, south-east of the Sinking Pyramid. It needs 3 raw beltfish and a cactus steak.
- Mapping The Sands I — speak to Anamcara next to the pond in Alcarrid Camp.
- Mapping The Sands II — speak to Anamcara again after Mapping The Sands I is complete.
All four need partial progress in Icthlarin's Little Helper. Contact!, Brink of Extinction and Mapping The Sands I make a practical set. Mapping The Sands II is the only substitute.
▶Farming and Runecrafting Setups
▶Gotta Patch 'Em All
Uproot unlocks at Farming Level 15, so this setup is available long before Umbral Sands. Do it as soon as you can afford 24 farming plots; this section is only the latest comfortable point.
Uproot covers a 15-metre radius, and the Harvester perk at Farming 36 increases it to 30 metres. At a base with enough open space, build at least 24 farming plots within that radius. Plant them, wait until all 24 are fully grown, then stand so the whole group is inside the spell's area.
Cast Uproot once.
The achievement requires 24 plots harvested by one cast. Multiple smaller casts do not accumulate toward it.
▶No Runefunds!
Runes to Rune Essence unlocks at Runecrafting Level 61. Many players reach Umbral Sands below that level; if you have not reached 61 yet, leave this for the Level-Gated Setup Reminders in Level 99 Cleanup.
The spell does not convert runes in your inventory. It works on runes lying on the ground. Drop a stack of spare runes you do not need, stand next to it, and cast Runes to Rune Essence on the dropped stack. The spell's own casting cost is paid separately from your inventory, so keep enough of its casting runes on you and only drop the spares. A small stack is enough. The amount of essence returned is reported as inconsistent, and large stacks may only partly convert, but neither matters for the achievement.
The achievement is for casting the named spell, not for accumulating a particular lifetime quantity of converted essence.
▶Fishing Setup
▶Frenzied
Frenzied20G
You need two Fishing spells:
- Fishing Frenzy, which unlocks at Fishing Level 10
- Fishnado, which unlocks at Fishing Level 55
Fishnado has a 300-second cooldown, reduced to 200 seconds by Greater Fishnado at Fishing 60. Carry a net or rod whose power is at least equal to the fishing spot's. If you are below Fishing 55 when you reach this point, leave it for the Level-Gated Setup Reminders in Level 99 Cleanup.
Cast Fishing Frenzy on a valid fishing spot first. While that same spot is in its frenzied state, cast Fishnado on it.
The order matters. Casting Fishnado on an ordinary spot does not satisfy the achievement.
▶Fuzan
Continue Icthlarin's Little Helper through the Umbral Sands boss sequence in the Fight Caves.
Older reports of Fuzan getting stuck at zero health are PATCHED / NO LONGER A CURRENT ISSUE on the current version.
▶Scorching Sands
Defeat Fuzan.
The achievement triggers from the boss defeat.
▶Umbral Sands Cleanup
Finish the three qualifying desert secondary quests before advancing toward the final region.
▶Ichlarins Bigger Helper
Complete three secondary quests in Umbral Sands.
A practical set is:
- Contact!
- Brink of Extinction
- Mapping The Sands I
Mapping The Sands II is the only substitute, and it needs Mapping The Sands I. If Mapping The Sands I is not yet offered, continue Icthlarin's Little Helper until it unlocks.
The achievement unlocks when the third qualifying quest completes.
▶Late Skill Challenges
▶Artisan, Ranged, Cooking, and Construction Setups
By this stage most specialist spells and recipes are either available or within reach. Several are available much earlier than this section. Do each one as soon as its level is reached, and clear any that remain before you start the Level 99 cleanup.
▶Mend it Like...
Raise Artisan to Level 56 to unlock Magical Mending. If you are not there yet, leave this for the Level-Gated Setup Reminders in Level 99 Cleanup.
Older guides may still list Level 27. That changed for the 1.0 release.
Prepare three repairable items that have each lost durability. Drop them on the floor within range of one Magical Mending cast, then cast the spell once so all three are repaired by that single use. The repaired items return to your inventory.
The achievement requires three items from one Magical Mending.
▶Master Huntsman
This is available early. Snare is a Ranged spell that unlocks at Ranged Level 12. Enhanced arrows come from Ranged perks:
- poison arrows from Toxic Behaviour, at Ranged 15
- barbed (bleed) arrows from Make 'Em Bleed, at Ranged 22
- fire arrows from Fire Starter, at Ranged 45
Stone arrows do not qualify. Ranged 15 with poison arrows is the practical minimum.
Find a manageable enemy and trap it with the Snare first. Once the enemy is visibly held, shoot it with the enhanced arrow.
Both conditions must apply to the same hit: the enemy must already be in the snare, and the arrow that hits it must be enhanced.
▶Two Misthalin Stars
Make an Iconic Meal. Iconic Meal recipes unlock at Cooking Level 36 through the Adept Culinaromancer perk and must be cooked at a Cooking Range, not a campfire.
There are three Iconic Meals, and cooking any one of them unlocks the achievement:
- Mushroom Kebab: 1 Grilled Mushrooms, 1 Fried Cabbage, 1 Haunch, 1 Bread
- Wild Pie: 1 Fried Onions, 1 Baked Potato, 1 Dried Dwellberries, 1 Bread
- Meat Pizza: 1 Flank Steak, 1 Fillet, 1 Haunch, 1 Bread
Mushroom Kebab is the safest first choice. Other large meals such as Steak 'N' Eggs and Hearty Meal do not count, so do not waste ingredients on them.
▶Agility Course Completion
▶Regional Gold Medal Sweep
There are six Agility courses, and Medal Collector needs Gold on all of them.
Course icons only appear on your map once you get close to a course, so exploring a region does not reveal its course. Each course starts at a flagged station. Head for the landmark below and the icon will appear as you approach.
- Chasm Dash — Brynmoor, beside the large lake in Bramblemead Valley close to Temple Woods. Agility 1. Gold 0:57, Silver 1:05, Bronze 1:15.
- Fractured Ruins — Ghornfell, in the Fractured Plains just beside the exit from the Whispering Swamp. Agility 15, plus Windstep and Double Jump. Gold 0:56, Silver 1:10, Bronze 1:30.
- Thunder Assault — Ghornfell, in the Stormtouched Highlands on high ground near the giant dragon remains. Agility 15, plus Windstep and Double Jump. Gold 1:06, Silver 1:18, Bronze 1:45.
- Grave Run — Fellhollow, up on an elevated rock face near the Dragon's Run area. Agility 30, plus Windstep and Double Jump. Gold 1:07, Silver 1:20, Bronze 2:00.
- Tower Climb — Dowdun Reach, on the south side of The Library. Agility 51, plus Windstep, Double Jump and Air Dash. Gold 1:09, Silver 1:20, Bronze 2:00.
- Lava Fields — Umbral Sands, around The Burning Spire at the edge of its red lava area. Agility 65, plus Double Jump and Air Dash. Gold 1:05, Silver 1:15, Bronze 1:45.
If you cannot spot a station at its landmark, circle the surrounding area slowly until its map icon appears.
Double Jump unlocks at Agility 10 and Air Dash at Agility 32.
Hit the course orbs in order. Monsters do not attack on courses. Spells and jumps are allowed, but building is not.
The first clear at each medal tier gives far more experience than a repeat run. A first-time reward stays claimable until you actually reach that tier, so there is nothing to lose by learning a course slowly before pushing for Gold.
Lava Fields needs Agility 65, which most players will not have when they first reach Umbral Sands. If you are not there yet, leave it for the Level-Gated Setup Reminders in Level 99 Cleanup.
For each course, learn the route first and then optimize for Gold.
▶Medal Collector
Achieve a Gold medal on every course.
The achievement unlocks after the final course records Gold. To verify, visit each of the six stations and confirm your recorded time beats that course's Gold time listed above; finishing a course at a lower tier is not enough.
Gold on all six also unlocks the Gilded Gyrhawk Amulet recipe, which gives +25% experience on courses and helps the Agility 99 grind. Its appearance is a useful secondary confirmation, but the six recorded Gold times are the check that matters.
▶Scorned Wilderness and Regicide
▶Opening the Final Region
Complete Icthlarin's Little Helper. Then travel to the Dragon Gate, north-west of Velgar's Rise in the north-western Fractured Plains, to begin Regicide and enter the Scorned Wilderness.
The Scorned Wilderness is a repeatable raid region rather than a normal open region. Each completed run returns you to Rasthin's Rest, the raid hub, and the next run starts again in Dragontail Vines. Finishing Regicide does not end your save: you keep playing afterwards with every secondary quest, Agility course and skill still available.
Rasthin's Rest is the only place in the Scorned Wilderness where you can build. Set up a small base there with a bed, crafting and repair stations, and storage, and place a lodestone near Commander Zilyana. Speaking to Zilyana starts a new raid run or resumes your current one. You cannot build anything inside the raid itself, so bring your strongest equipment, several combat styles, strong healing and buff food, potions, runes, arrows and repair supplies.
The raid runs through four areas: Dragontail Vines, Fragments of Ghornfell, Shattered Stronghold and Cataclysm Keep. A Zilyana Teleporter sits at the end of each area as an extraction point. Using one takes you back to Rasthin's Rest to repair and restock without losing raid progress, and Zilyana then returns you to the latest extraction point you reached. If you die in the raid, your gravestone appears near Zilyana rather than where you fell.
The raid's core mechanic is elemental attunement:
- Siphon an element from a Crystallised Anima shard or a coloured anima vent, or kill enemies marked with an element symbol, until your charge meter fills. A full meter gives you about thirty seconds of that element.
- Coloured barriers only let you through while you hold the matching element.
- Anima Pylons are charged by interacting with them while attuned to their element. Some pylons need two elements in turn.
- Killing three attuned enemies in quick succession activates an Anima Orb Dispenser. Carry the orb it produces to an empty pylon, slot it in, then attune and charge that pylon.
The final gate in Cataclysm Keep needs all four pylons charged and the water pylon's valve routing power to the pressure pads. Then step on the pads in this order: Air, Water, Earth, Fire. The order comes from Rasthin's Riddle of Faith on the wall of that room. If you stepped on pads in the wrong order, step on all of them to reset, then try again.
There is no secondary-quest achievement for the Scorned Wilderness, so do not hold up the final route looking for one.
▶Queen Kuldra
Work through Regicide's extraction and pylon objectives until the final Queen Kuldra encounter.
Make sure the game is on version 1.0.1 or later before this fight.
Kuldra cannot be damaged directly, so do not waste supplies attacking her. The fight has four phases:
- Phases 1 to 3: gather anima from vents, Crystallised Anima, or the elemental Dragon Hatchlings. Charge the pylons, make Anima Orbs at the dispenser, and load them into the Anima Cannon. Fire it at Kuldra until the phase ends, roughly six hits each time. Dodge her heads' beam, poison, fireball, ice and lightning attacks while you work, and use Zilyana's barrier between phases.
- Phase 4: once Kuldra is stunned, a bridge forms to her main head. Choose Enter at its mouth. Inside, attack her Heart until it reaches zero while avoiding the Heartworms and poison pools.
▶Regicide
Regicide30G
Defeat Queen Kuldra.
The achievement triggers from Queen Kuldra's defeat. Afterwards, speak with Commander Zilyana to finalize the Regicide quest and collect your rewards; this step is not needed for the achievement itself. It is the last story-boss achievement on the Xbox list. If it does not unlock, update the game, then repeat the raid and defeat her again.
▶Level 99 Cleanup
▶Mastery Grind Plan
The remaining completion is dominated by twelve Level 99 achievements.
Each skill needs 1,000,000 XP for Level 99. For scale, Level 50 is 40,594 XP and Level 95 is 447,689 XP, so the last four levels are more than half the total. There is no story or region gate on any level. The old caps of 50, or 65 for Farming, were Early Access limits that have been removed. Experience is never lost on death, in normal or hard mode. Skill progress belongs to your character, and co-op does not share experience; each player earns it from their own actions.
Do not treat these as twelve isolated grinds if you still have useful world tasks remaining. Combine compatible work wherever possible:
- Gather Mining and Woodcutting materials before Artisan and Construction crafting sessions.
- Turn gathered food ingredients into Cooking experience rather than discarding them.
- Maintain crops while working on nearby skills.
- Fish in batches that also feed Cooking.
- Craft useful runes while preparing Magic training.
- Alternate Attack, Magic, and Ranged during combat-resource farming.
- Travel on foot when the lost travel time is reasonable so Agility continues progressing.
Use the available experience boosts for whichever skill you are training:
- A Focused potion for that skill gives +15%, and the Focused II version gives +30%, for 10 minutes.
- Food with the Knowledgable Nourishment perk gives +10% to all skills.
- An Inspiring Ring for that skill gives +5%.
- One potion buff and one food buff stack together.
- There are no experience lamps and no rested experience.
- Fixed-experience skill books, such as Fishing Volume 2, drop in later regions. Use them on the skills you find slowest.
The Level 99 achievements are character skill-level checks. Each unlocks when that individual skill reaches Level 99.
▶Level-Gated Setup Reminders
Any setup achievement you skipped for level reasons can be finished here as soon as its skill reaches the level:
- No Runefunds!: at Runecrafting 61, drop spare runes on the ground and cast Runes to Rune Essence on them.
- Frenzied: Fishing Frenzy (Fishing 10) on a spot, then Fishnado (Fishing 55) on that same frenzied spot.
- Mend it Like...: Magical Mending at Artisan 56 on three dropped damaged items.
- Medal Collector: Lava Fields Gold at Agility 65, plus Tower Climb at Agility 51 if you have not done it yet.
- Two Misthalin Stars: an Iconic Meal at Cooking 36 on a Cooking Range.
- Gotta Patch 'Em All: 24 grown plots, one Uproot, from Farming 15.
- Master Huntsman: Snare (Ranged 12) and an enhanced arrow (Ranged 15 or higher).
- Eye can see my house from here!: place a building piece while viewing through Eye of Oculus (Construction 11); scouting with the Eye alone does not count.
▶Combat Skills
▶Melee Master
Melee Master30G
Reach Level 99 in Attack.
Use melee during ordinary progression whenever the encounter is safe enough to do so, then finish the remaining levels against enemies that give worthwhile experience without forcing long recovery downtime.
The achievement unlocks when Attack reaches Level 99.
▶Dionysius' Disciple
Reach Level 99 in Magic.
Use offensive and utility magic throughout the game so normal combat contributes before the dedicated grind. Keep enough Runecrafting production going that rune shortages do not repeatedly interrupt training.
The achievement unlocks when Magic reaches Level 99.
▶Thrill of the Hunt
Reach Level 99 in Ranged.
Use ranged attacks during boss preparation, dangerous encounters, and resource runs before beginning dedicated training. Enhanced arrows are useful when their extra damage materially improves kill speed, but do not burn expensive ammunition where ordinary arrows are already efficient.
The achievement unlocks when Ranged reaches Level 99.
▶Gathering Skills
▶Everything Is Oresome
Reach Level 99 in Mining.
Prioritize the highest practical resource loops that you can clear and reset efficiently. Rocksplosion should be incorporated whenever dense ore layouts make it more efficient than single-node mining.
Bank useful output for Artisan and Construction rather than dropping everything.
The achievement unlocks when Mining reaches Level 99.
▶Everything Is Treemendous
Reach Level 99 in Woodcutting.
Train in dense tree areas appropriate to your current tier and use Axtral Projection whenever several valid trees can be hit efficiently.
Keep useful logs and processed materials for Construction and Artisan work.
The achievement unlocks when Woodcutting reaches Level 99.
▶Production Skills
▶The School of Jewels
Reach Level 99 in Artisan.
Use materials gathered during Mining, Woodcutting, and combat before farming extra resources solely for Artisan experience. Favor repeatable recipes with materials you can acquire quickly and consistently rather than a nominally higher-experience recipe with a severe bottleneck.
The achievement unlocks when Artisan reaches Level 99.
▶Absolute Planker
Reach Level 99 in Construction.
Use your stockpiled building materials and build in large batches at a permanent base. Pick repeatable structures whose resource chain you can sustain without excessive travel.
Do not dismantle useful progression infrastructure merely to chase small experience gains unless replacing it is trivial.
The achievement unlocks when Construction reaches Level 99.
▶Three Misthalin Stars
Reach Level 99 in Cooking.
Feed this grind with the fish, crops, meat and other ingredients you collect while levelling the gathering skills. Cooking in large prepared batches is much easier to manage than repeatedly stopping to gather a handful of ingredients. Burned food still gives Cooking experience, so a failed cook is not wasted.
The achievement unlocks when Cooking reaches Level 99.
▶Altar Native
Altar Native30G
Reach Level 99 in Runecrafting.
Runecrafting is one of the longer grinds, so do not leave it untouched until every other skill is done. Craft the runes your Magic training needs throughout the playthrough.
Always craft with Attune rather than Auto Craft, because Auto Craft gives only 25% of the experience. From Level 50 to 99, expect to need roughly 13,000 rune essence with boosts, or about 19,000 without.
The achievement unlocks when Runecrafting reaches Level 99.
▶Sustaining Skills
▶Granny's Favourite Farmer
Reach Level 99 in Farming.
Keep a large permanent farm running while you work on other skills, and replant whenever you pass through the base so growing time overlaps with combat, gathering, quests and other grinds. At high levels, grow high-tier crops such as corpse cotton, desert weed and cacti in large plot blocks.
Use Uproot on appropriately grouped mature plots to reduce harvesting time.
The achievement unlocks when Farming reaches Level 99.
▶Maximum Effishiency
Reach Level 99 in Fishing.
Fishing is widely reported as the slowest Level 99, and exact times vary a lot between players. Plan for it to run alongside other work, rather than leaving it for last.
Fish give only 8 to 65 XP each. Junk catches use up a charge and give no experience. Fish are heavy, so keep a lodestone route or personal chest nearby to bank your catch.
Use the best spots your tool power allows. Combine the catches with Cooking.
Fishing Frenzy doubles the fish from a spot, so use it and Fishnado during training, not just for Frenzied. Fishnado catches are never pristine. The Angler's Hat at Fishing 70 gives a 10% chance not to deplete a spot.
The achievement unlocks when Fishing reaches Level 99.
▶Final Movement Grind
▶Amazingly Acrobatic
Reach Level 99 in Agility.
Running on foot gives passive Agility experience. Mounted travel gives none, so heavy mount use in the early game costs you the most here. Once every region, secondary quest, boss and Gold course is done, check how much remains.
For the dedicated grind, repeat the highest course you can run:
- Chasm Dash to Agility 15
- Thunder Assault for 15 to 30, which gives slightly better experience than Fractured Ruins
- Grave Run for 30 to 51
- Tower Climb for 51 to 65
- Lava Fields from 65 to 99
Unboosted, that last stretch is around 885 Gold laps. With a Focused Agility potion, Knowledgable Nourishment food and the Gilded Gyrhawk Amulet it drops to around 494 laps. Agility is generally reported as the quickest of the twelve to finish.
Getting Gold on every course does not by itself bring Agility to 99.
The achievement unlocks when Agility reaches Level 99.
▶Final Achievement Check
▶One-World Cleanup
Before considering the completion finished, verify the Xbox list against these groups:
- Five regional three-secondary-quest achievements are complete.
- Velgar, Imaru, Black Knight Titan, Fuzan, and Queen Kuldra have all been defeated.
- All six Agility courses show Gold.
- Every specialist spell and setup achievement has unlocked.
- Attack, Magic, Ranged, Mining, Woodcutting, Artisan, Construction, Cooking, Runecrafting, Farming, Fishing, and Agility are all Level 99.
If a setup achievement is still locked, recreate its actual trigger rather than just repeating the prerequisite. The most common mistakes are:
- using several casts where one cast is required
- shooting the enhanced arrow before the target is trapped in the Snare
- the Confused enemy not landing the killing blow while still confused
- the three buffs not being active at the same time
- not placing the construction piece while Eye of Oculus is active
If a boss achievement is missing, update the game, then re-fight the boss. The Scorned Wilderness raid can be repeated.
With all 50 requirements complete, the Xbox list is 50/50 achievements for 1,000G.
